Towards Faithful Simulation of Human Shopping Behavior

Simulating realistic user shopping behavior underpins offline evaluation and reinforcement learning in e-commerce scenarios. While recent LLM- and VLM-based simulators have made encouraging progress, reproducing a real browsing session remains difficult for two reasons. (i) Memory Challenge: a shopping session spans dozens of pages, yet existing agents either discard long-range observation histories, losing the evolving user state, or naively concatenate them, overwhelming the context window and even degrading simulation quality. (ii) Optimization Challenge: current user simulators are typically supervised to match each logged action via imitation or step-level rewards; the resulting sessions often display unrealistic patterns, such as over-exploration or excessive passivity, which per-step supervision can neither detect nor correct. To address the above challenges, we present RecVerse, a GUI-grounded simulation agent that perceives pages through screenshots and produces faithful multi-turn trajectories. For the memory challenge, RecVerse adopts a cognitive-inspired hierarchical memory: Working Memory for short-term focus, Episodic Memory for in-session traces, and Preference Memory for high-level intent, with memory updates treated as actions so that the agent adaptively learns when and what to memorize. For the optimization challenge, RecVerse is optimized with a trajectory-level RL objective that scores entire sessions, aligning both macro-level action-type distributions and micro-level shopping intent with real users. We further release USB (User Simulation Benchmark), an interactive e-commerce GUI trajectory dataset for multi-turn user simulation. Experiments show that RecVerse significantly outperforms existing baselines in both behavioral fidelity and intent consistency.

DREAM Technical Report

Industrial recommender systems commonly use cascaded retrieval, ranking, and re-ranking pipelines. Although efficient, these pipelines fragment information and objectives across modules, rely on rigid rules, and have limited awareness of real-time intent, leaving session-level shifts among browsing, comparison, and purchase insufficiently addressed. We present DREAM (Developing Recommender Engine with Agentic Methods), an autonomous optimization control architecture that adds a perception-aware, orchestrable, and auditable policy layer atop existing pipelines without replacing them. DREAM has two core components. First, a three-tier Intent Engine fuses on-device signals into structured L0/L1/L2 intent representations; its edge-cloud trigger chain reduces reporting volume to approximately 8.7%. Second, a Meta Engine uses a MetaModel for layered M1-to-M2-to-M3 reasoning: intent summarization, strategy planning informed by Strategy Memory, and parameter translation. It dispatches the resulting parameters through a unified outlet with safety guardrails. A Reward Dual Loop continuously optimizes both components by combining offline simulation for strategy-space exploration with online feedback for outcome calibration, forming a cycle of generation, execution, evaluation, and experience accumulation. Large-scale A/B tests on Taobao's homepage feed show that re-ranking control alone improves IPV by 2.06%, Core IPV by 2.39%, and GMV by 0.88%. Extending control to fine ranking raises these gains to 2.71%, 3.06%, and 1.31%, respectively, while consistently improving PV by more than 1%. These gains require neither replacement of pipeline models nor compromise of serving stability, supporting agentic meta-control as a viable paradigm for industrial recommendation.

SG-WAM: Text-Grounded and Spatial-aware Semantic Guidance for World-Action Models

World-Action Models (WAMs) have emerged as a promising paradigm for robotic manipulation. However, most existing WAMs generate future videos and actions by relying mainly on visual cues rather than language instructions, since off-the-shelf text encoders embed instructions independently of visual observations. As a result, the videos predicted by these WAMs are often semantically misaligned with their corresponding language instructions, which degrades the accuracy of the predicted actions. To overcome this limitation, we propose SG-WAM, a semantic guidance method for world-action models that leverages a vision-language model (VLM) as a semantic planner to enhance the instruction-grounding capacity of world-action models. Specifically, we train a VLM-based planner to predict text-grounded and spatial-aware semantic foresight. The text-grounded semantic foresight grounds the instruction by identifying the correct target objects, and the spatial-aware semantic foresight provides the scene geometry for precise manipulation. We then inject this foresight into the world-action model as high-level semantic guidance, ensuring that both future-video generation and action prediction faithfully follow the language instruction. Extensive experiments in simulation and the real world demonstrate the superiority of our semantic guidance method, showcasing precise manipulation and strong instruction-following capabilities.

Is Forward Prediction Enough? Physical State Grounding for JEPA World Models

Learning structured and control-relevant latent representations remains a key challenge for world models. Recent JEPA-based world models learn action-conditioned predictive latent dynamics from observation sequences. However, their forward-prediction objectives do not explicitly enforce reliable identifiability of robot-centric physical state from individual latents or state changes from latent pairs, which can limit downstream planning and policy performance. We propose PSG-JEPA, a physically grounded JEPA world model that shapes its latent space with two complementary grounding objectives beyond forward prediction: grounding individual latents in robot proprioceptive state, and grounding latent pairs in multi-horizon joint-angle changes. Both objectives are applied only during training, leaving the inference architecture and computational cost unchanged. To comprehensively evaluate PSG-JEPA, we conduct experiments at three levels: (1) latent identifiability via probing, (2) goal-conditioned planning on frozen latents, and (3) policy learning in simulation and on a real robot. Experiments demonstrate that our PSG-JEPA consistently outperforms state-of-the-art latent world-model baselines at all three levels.

DFM-VLA: Iterative Action Refinement for Robot Manipulation via Discrete Flow Matching

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that encode actions using a discrete tokenization scheme have been widely adopted for robotic manipulation, but existing decoding paradigms remain fundamentally limited. Whether actions are decoded sequentially by autoregressive VLAs or in parallel by discrete diffusion VLAs, once a token is generated, it is typically fixed and cannot be revised in subsequent iterations. Consequently, early token errors cannot be effectively corrected later. We propose DFM-VLA, a discrete flow matching VLA that iteratively refines action tokens. DFM-VLA models a token-level probability velocity field that dynamically updates the full action sequence across refinement iterations. We investigate two approaches to constructing the velocity field: an auxiliary velocity-head formulation and an embedding-guided formulation. To further improve prediction accuracy, we introduce a metric-aligned action tokenizer (MAAT) tailored to the coarse-to-fine nature of DFM, together with a two-stage decoding strategy. Extensive experiments on CALVIN, LIBERO, LIBERO-Plus, and real-world manipulation tasks demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. DyPES-VLA: Learning Shared Dynamics Priors and Embodiment-Specific Control for Cross-Embodiment Manipulation

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have become a powerful paradigm for robot manipulation, but training a single generalist policy for heterogeneous robot embodiments remains an open problem. Existing methods have two main limitations. First, they underuse dynamics priors shared across diverse visual and interaction data, limiting cross-embodiment transfer. Second, they require extensive manual preprocessing to convert embodiment-specific actions into a common format. To overcome these limitations, we propose DyPES-VLA, a cross-embodiment VLA that learns shared Dynamics Priors and Embodiment-Specific control. First, we learn shared dynamics priors by training the vision-language model (VLM) with a future-prediction objective on cross-embodiment data, driving the shared query representation to capture object motion, contact, and interaction-induced scene changes. Second, an embodiment-specific Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) action head translates these shared dynamics priors into executable controls directly in each embodiment's native action space, without manually pre-aligning heterogeneous actions into a common format. This head shares attention layers to capture common temporal action structures, while its embodiment-specific feed-forward experts resolve the unique kinematic constraints and control semantics of distinct embodiments. As a generalist policy, our \ourmethod achieves state-of-the-art performance across simulation and real-world evaluations, reaching 98.0% success on LIBERO, 59.25% on RoboCasa-GR1, and 89.02% on RoboTwin~2.0.

Green Wireless Network Scaling for Joint Deployment: Multi-BSs or Multi-RISs?

The imminent emergence of sixth-generation (6G) networks faces critical challenges from spatially heterogeneous traffic and escalating energy consumption, necessitating sustainable scaling strategies for network infrastructure such as base stations (BSs) and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). This paper presents a systematic scaling analysis of the Integrated Relative Energy Efficiency (IREE) metric under joint multi-BS and multi-RIS deployment in traffic-mismatched scenarios. Specifically, we propose an Alternating Directional Dual Radial Basis Function (ADD-RBF) framework that models the spatial capacity contributions of BSs and RISs through two separately parameterized RBF-type branches and maximizes IREE through accepted alternating optimization, with established representation expressiveness and stage-wise convergence properties. Theoretical analysis reveals distinct scaling behaviors: BS proliferation drives logarithmic capacity growth $\mathcal{O}(\log N^{BS})$ and polynomial large-scale mismatch reduction $\mathcal{O}\big((N^{BS})^{-t_g/2}\big)$, whereas RIS deployment provides a bounded passive capacity-gain correction and residual-structure-dependent mismatch reduction. Specifically, the RIS-side mismatch decreases polynomially as $\mathcal{O}\big((N^R)^{-t_\ell/2}\big)$ for spatially diffuse residuals and follows the stretched-exponential order $\mathcal{O}\big(\exp[-c_R\sqrt{N^R}]\big)$ for hotspot-dominated residuals. Simulation results show that RISs are effective in refining spatial traffic-capacity mismatch and alleviating hotspots, making them particularly attractive when mismatch dominates, while BSs are generally preferable under capacity shortages. These findings offer practical guidelines for green 6G network design.

Life 2.0: A Scalable Distributed Space-Telescope Array for Biosignature Spectroscopy

Answering the question "Are we alone?" requires atmospheric spectroscopy of nearby terrestrial planets. For an Earth--Sun analog, even the strongest transmission signals are expected to be of order 1 part per million (ppm). Unlike short-period planets, Earth 2.0 planets transit only about once per year, so single-transit sensitivity, rather than stacking repeated observations, is the fundamental design driver. Life 2.0 is a scalable space-mission concept linking Earth 2.0 candidates discovered by PLATO and the Earth 2.0 (ET) mission with atmospheric characterization and biosignature assessment. The baseline architecture comprises 900 one-meter space telescopes, each equipped with a high-throughput Waveguide Integrated Miniature Spectrograph and an ultra-low-read-noise CMOS detector. After independent calibration, spectra acquired simultaneously during a transit are combined, providing the photon-collecting capability of an approximately 30-m aperture at the selected spectral resolution while retaining a modular architecture. The baseline 0.2--1.05 $μ$m range covers O$_3$, O$_2$, H$_2$O, Rayleigh scattering, and other diagnostics, with extension into the infrared as detector technologies mature. Prototype Waveguide Spectral Lens devices have demonstrated 40--66\% throughput at resolving powers from $R \sim 200$ to $R \sim 20{,}000$. Lightweight silicon-carbide mirrors and sub-electron-noise CMOS detectors support replicated production. Life 2.0 must address detector systematics, instrument stability, and stellar variability; rather than assuming these limitations disappear, it builds on calibration, detector-characterization, and data-analysis techniques advanced during the JWST era. The concept offers a scalable alternative to a monolithic 30-m-class space telescope and a staged pathway toward biosignature spectroscopy of nearby Earth-like planets.

AP Association for RHS-Enabled Cell-Free Uplink MIMO in Industrial Indoor UAV Networks

Indoor industrial UAV uplink networks face serious blockage and shadowing from shelves, metal equipment, and production facilities. UAVs are also often clustered and fly along similar straight inspection routes at fixed heights. These features make traditional small-cell deployment less suitable, especially when high reliability, continuous coverage, and good service for weak UAVs are required. Cell-free networks can improve robustness through distributed access points (APs) and UAV?centric communications. Reconfigurable holographic surface (RHS)-enabled APs provide programmable analog receive beams and generate scalar post-RHS observations, which are jointly processed at the CPU for distributed uplink MIMO detection at relatively low hardware cost. Conventional AP association relies on distance, large-scale fading, or post-combining SINR obtained with user-specific digital combiners. Here, however, all UAVs served by a single-feed RHS AP share one amplitude?constrained receive pattern and one scalar AP output. We therefore derive an SINR-like score from this physical output and, under weak inter-AP disturbance correlation, approximate the CPU-side log-det objective by an additive per-AP surrogate, yielding a low-complexity ranking rule. The results show that the nearest AP is not always the best choice, the AP-UAV height difference may have an optimal value, and larger serving clusters bring diminishing returns. Simulations show that the proposed method improves the minimum UAV data rate, average spectral efficiency, fairness, and energy efficiency compared with benchmark schemes.

Active Movable-Element RIS Assisted Vehicular Semantic Communications: Modeling and Optimization

Severe signal blockage and fast-varying channels in vehicular environments pose critical challenges to reliable semantic communication. To address these, this paper proposes a novel Row-Movable Active Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RM-A-RIS) assisted vehicular semantic communication system. This architecture uniquely combines active signal amplification with element mobility to compensate for multiplicative fading and reconstruct channel geometry, thereby enhancing spatial diversity. We formulate a joint optimization problem to maximize Semantic Spectral Efficiency (SSE) by coordinating RIS element positions, active reflection coefficients, and semantic symbol length. An efficient Alternating Optimization (AO) algorithm is developed to tackle the coupled non-convexity. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme substantially outperforms existing benchmarks, achieving up to 132.9%, 9.2%, and 35.2% improvements in Sum-Semantic Spectral Efficiency (Sum-SSE) compared to the passive RIS, fixed-position active RIS, and QPSO baselines, respectively.

Learning from the Future: Privileged Self-Distillation for Sequential Recommendation

Sequential recommenders are commonly trained with one-hot next-item labels under a causal (prefix-only) objective aligned with inference. While deployment-compatible, this supervision offers little insight into relative preferences among non-target items. Yet logged interaction sequences contain an additional supervisory source: interactions following the target often reveal how user intent evolves, making the target easier to interpret. We treat these future interactions as training-only privileged information, available during learning but not at inference. This raises a natural question: can future interactions provide richer supervision while keeping training aligned with inference-time prediction? We propose Privileged Self-Distillation (PSD), a framework that separates learning-time information from inference-time information. PSD applies two attention masks to the same backbone: a future-aware view yields a privileged teacher distribution conditioned on past and future interactions, while a prefix-only view yields the student distribution used for deployment. Distilling the privileged distribution converts future interactions into training-only supervision rather than inference-time inputs. Since both views share a backbone, the teacher's advantage is purely informational, not architectural, removing the need for a separately pretrained teacher and letting its supervision adapt as the student evolves. PSD further uses an advantage-reachability gate to focus distillation on teacher signals likely supported by the observed prefix, along with a momentum-averaged teacher for stable targets. The framework is optimized end-to-end in a single stage, leaving the deployed model and inference cost unchanged. Experiments across public benchmarks and diverse backbones show consistent improvements.

Mobile Tracking via Target-Mounted IRS-Assisted ISAC System

This paper proposes a target-mounted intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted integrated sensing and communication framework for real-time unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) tracking, addressing challenges such as link blockage and weak radar cross section in the low-altitude economy. By integrating the IRS onto the UAV, the system creates a mobile cooperative target that provides controllable line-of-sight echoes for self-tracking while acting as a mobile relay for ground communication enhancement. We establish a comprehensive three dimensions state evolution model for the maneuvering UAV. Based on this model, an extended Kalman filter is immediately implemented to achieve real time tracking of the moving UAV. To characterize the fundamental theoretical limits of this recursive estimation process, we derive the analytical posterior Cramer Rao bound and a closed form expression for the elliptical tradeoff performance bound to quantify the relationship between sensing precision and communication throughput. To ensure millisecond level responsiveness, we develop a low complexity joint beamforming design. By utilizing the analytical mapping between tracking and communication requirements, the proposed scheme yields closed form solutions for beamforming vectors, effectively bypassing the time consuming numerical iterations of conventional methods. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed framework significantly outperforms traditional fixed-deployment benchmarks across complex maneuvering trajectories, achieving centimeter-level accuracy while substantially reducing transmit power and processing latency.

On Efficient V-BLAST Detection: Recursive and Hybrid Schemes

This paper investigates low-complexity and memoryefficient detection for vertical Bell Laboratories layered spacetime architecture (V-BLAST), where recursive and square-root implementations exhibit different tradeoffs in computational complexity. Two new improvements are first developed for the recursive implementation. The first adopts a more efficient partitioned-matrix inverse relation, reducing the dominant complexity of the inverse-construction step by a factor of 1.67. The second reformulates symbol estimation and interference cancellation using quantities available from the detection-error covariance matrix, thereby avoiding the need to retain the inverse covariance matrix during recursion. The resulting recursive algorithm reduces the dominant complexity of the existing speedoriented implementation by a factor of 1.3, while achieving a speedup of approximately 1.86 and reducing the principal matrix-storage requirement by about one half relative to the existing memory-saving implementation. Since the proposed recursive algorithm offers lower worst-case complexity, whereas the inverse-Cholesky square-root implementation provides lower best-case and average complexities, a hybrid scheme is further developed to switch adaptively between them. The hybrid scheme preserves the worst-case dominant-complexity bound of the recursive implementation, attains the best-case complexity of the square-root implementation, and slightly reduces the average processing cost. Analytical operation counts and numerical results verify these gains and demonstrate robustness to moderate variations in a switching threshold.

RecGPT-V3 Technical Report

Large language models (LLMs) are transforming recommender systems from matching co-occurrence patterns in historical behavior toward reasoning about the intent that drives it. RecGPT-V1 pioneered this paradigm on Taobao by centering user understanding, and RecGPT-V2 scaled it via coordinated multi-agent reasoning; both are deployed in production with consistent gains in user experience and commercial outcomes. However, operating RecGPT at scale reveals three challenges: (1) stateless behavior modeling, where each request reprocesses full user history, wasting computation and discarding prior analysis; (2) a tag-to-item information bottleneck, where natural-language tags form a lossy channel between user understanding and item grounding; and (3) inefficient explicit reasoning, whose lengthy chain-of-thought incurs untenable latency and compute overhead. We present RecGPT-V3, a stateful, hybrid-modal recommender that reasons over natural language for open-world knowledge and Semantic IDs (SIDs) for concrete item grounding. A Memory Hub maintains structured, continually evolving user memory that distills long-horizon behavior into condensed units, cutting user-modeling computation by 55.8%. A Hybrid-modal Foundation Model allows the LLM jointly reason over text tags and SIDs, opening a high-bandwidth channel into the item space. Latent Intent Reasoning internalizes verbose rationales into compact learnable latent tokens that remain decodable into readable explanations, lowering output token cost by 200x. Deployed in Taobao's "Guess What You Like" feed, RecGPT-V3 achieves consistent gains in large-scale online A/B tests: IPV +1.28%, CTR +1.00%, TC +1.97%, GMV +3.97%, while cutting end-to-end serving resource consumption by 52.4%.

Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces for Integrated Sensing and Communications: From System Coexistence to Networked Mutualism

The rapid development of sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks requires seamless integration of communication and sensing to support ubiquitous intelligence and real-time, high-reliability applications. Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) has emerged as a key solution for achieving this convergence, offering joint utilization of spectral, hardware, and computing resources. However, realizing high-performance ISAC remains challenging due to environmental line-of-sight (LoS) blockage, limited spatial resolution, and the inherent coverage asymmetry and resource coupling between sensing and communication. Intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs), featuring low-cost, energy-efficient, and programmable electromagnetic reconfiguration, provide a promising solution to overcome these limitations. This article presents a comprehensive overview of IRS-aided wireless sensing and ISAC technologies, including IRS architectures, target detection and estimation techniques, beamforming designs, and performance metrics. It further explores IRS-enabled new opportunities for more efficient performance balancing, coexistence, and networking in ISAC systems, focuses on current design bottlenecks, and outlines future research directions. This article aims to offer a unified design framework that guides the development of practical and scalable IRS-aided ISAC systems for the next-generation wireless network.

Cooperative Rotatable IRSs for Wireless Communications: Joint Beamforming and Orientation Optimization

Rotatable intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) introduce a new degree of freedom (DoF) for shaping wireless propagation by adaptively adjusting the orientation of IRSs. This paper considers an angle-dependent reflection model in a wireless communication system aided by two rotatable IRSs. Specifically, we study the joint design of the base station transmit beamforming, as well as the cooperative passive beamforming and orientation of the two IRSs, to maximize the received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Under the light-of-sight (LoS) channels, we first develop a particle swarm optimization (PSO) based method to determine the IRS rotation and derive an optimal rotation in a closed-form expression for a two-dimensional IRS deployment. Then, we extend the design to the general Rician fading channels by proposing an efficient alternating optimization and PSO (AO-PSO) algorithm. Numerical results validate the substantial gains achieved by the IRS rotation over fixed-IRS schemes and also demonstrate the superior performance of the double rotatable IRSs over a single rotatable IRS given a sufficient total number of IRS elements.

Rethinking Soft Interference Cancellation (IC) for MIMO: A Hard-Decision IC Inspired Recursive Scheme

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology has been regarded as one of the most important technologies to enable emerging applications in current and next generation wireless communication systems, for which signal detection methods have been endowed with higher requirements, such as finer bit-error ratio (BER) performance, lower complexity, and smaller memory. Existing detectors mainly include hard-decision-based ordered successive interference cancellation (HD-OSIC) schemes with relatively simple implementation, and linear-minimum-mean-squareerror-based iterative soft interference cancellation (LMMSE-ISIC) schemes exhibiting near-optimal BER performance, whose advantages are combined by the detector developed in this paper. Specifically, we first elaborate that the LMMSE-ISIC scheme is the extension of the HD-OSIC counterpart, via comparing our proposed reordered description based on the equivalent channel matrix for the LMMSE-ISIC detection process with the other. Then, we propose a recursive scheme with speed advantage and memory saving for LMMSE-ISIC by extending that for HDOSIC, where the LMMSE-ISIC estimate and the filtering bias are updated highly efficiently. Compared to the existing best low-complexity LMMSE-ISIC scheme, theoretically, the required computations and memory units in each iteration of our proposed scheme decrease by at least 87.50% and 80.00%, respectively, and simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme always yields identical BER performance.

Suppressing Beam Squint Effect For Near-Field Wideband Communication Through Movable Antennas

In this correspondence, we study deploying movable antenna (MA) array in a wideband multiple-input-single-output (MISO) communication system, where near-field (NF) channel model is considered. To alleviate beam squint effect, we propose to maximize the minimum analog beamforming gain across the entire wideband spectrum by appropriately adjusting MAs' positions, which is a highly challenging task. By introducing a slack variable and adopting the cutting-the-edge smoothed-gradient-descent-ascent (SGDA) method, we develop algorithms to resolve the aforementioned challenge. Numerical results verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithms and demonstrate the benefit of utilizing MA array to mitigate beam squint effect in NF wideband system.
