The exclusive production of a fully heavy tetraquark and a photon in electron-positron collision

The exclusive production of fully heavy tetraquark ($T(bb\bar{b}\bar{b})$, $T(cc\bar{c}\bar{c})$ and $T(bc\bar{b}\bar{c})$) in association with a hard photon in electron-positron collisions is calculated within the framework of non-relativistic QCD. Both inner structures of molecule-like state and compact state with $J=0,1,2$ for the fully heavy tetraquark are discussed. We find that it is dismal to observe any fully heavy tetraquarks in either the compact configuration or the molecule-like configuration through such exclusive processes at either Belle II or future Z factories like CEPC and FCC-ee.

A Universal Deep Learning Force Field for Molecular Dynamic Simulation and Vibrational Spectra Prediction

Accurate and efficient simulation of infrared (IR) and Raman spectra is essential for molecular identification and structural analysis. Traditional quantum chemistry methods based on the harmonic approximation neglect anharmonicity and nuclear quantum effects, while ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) remains computationally expensive. Here, we integrate our deep equivariant tensor attention network (DetaNet) with a velocity-Verlet integrator to enable fast and accurate machine learning molecular dynamics (MLMD) simulations for spectral prediction. Trained on the QMe14S dataset containing energies, forces, dipole moments, and polarizabilities for 186,102 small organic molecules, DetaNet yields a universal and transferable force field with high-order tensor prediction capability. Using time-correlation functions derived from MLMD and ring-polymer molecular dynamics (RPMD) trajectories, we computed IR and Raman spectra that accurately reproduce anharmonic and nuclear quantum effects. Benchmark tests on isolated molecules, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, demonstrate that the DetaNet-based MD approach achieves near-experimental spectral accuracy with speedups up to three orders of magnitude over AIMD. Furthermore, the framework extends seamlessly to molecular and inorganic crystals, molecular aggregates, and biological macromolecules such as polypeptides with minimal fine-tuning. In all systems, DetaNet maintains high accuracy while significantly reducing computational cost. Overall, this work establishes a universal machine learning force field and tensor-aware MLMD framework that enable fast, accurate, and broadly applicable dynamic simulations and IR/Raman spectral predictions across diverse molecular and material systems.

Multimodal Prompt Decoupling Attack on the Safety Filters in Text-to-Image Models

Text-to-image (T2I) models have been widely applied in generating high-fidelity images across various domains. However, these models may also be abused to produce Not-Safe-for-Work (NSFW) content via jailbreak attacks. Existing jailbreak methods primarily manipulate the textual prompt, leaving potential vulnerabilities in image-based inputs largely unexplored. Moreover, text-based methods face challenges in bypassing the model's safety filters. In response to these limitations, we propose the Multimodal Prompt Decoupling Attack (MPDA), which utilizes image modality to separate the harmful semantic components of the original unsafe prompt. MPDA follows three core steps: firstly, a large language model (LLM) decouples unsafe prompts into pseudo-safe prompts and harmful prompts. The former are seemingly harmless sub-prompts that can bypass filters, while the latter are sub-prompts with unsafe semantics that trigger filters. Subsequently, the LLM rewrites the harmful prompts into natural adversarial prompts to bypass safety filters, which guide the T2I model to modify the base image into an NSFW output. Finally, to ensure semantic consistency between the generated NSFW images and the original unsafe prompts, the visual language model generates image captions, providing a new pathway to guide the LLM in iterative rewriting and refining the generated content.

Empowering Bridge Digital Twins by Bridging the Data Gap with a Unified Synthesis Framework

As critical transportation infrastructure, bridges face escalating challenges from aging and deterioration, while traditional manual inspection methods suffer from low efficiency. Although 3D point cloud technology provides a new data-driven paradigm, its application potential is often constrained by the incompleteness of real-world data, which results from missing labels and scanning occlusions. To overcome the bottleneck of insufficient generalization in existing synthetic data methods, this paper proposes a systematic framework for generating 3D bridge data. This framework can automatically generate complete point clouds featuring component-level instance annotations, high-fidelity color, and precise normal vectors. It can be further extended to simulate the creation of diverse and physically realistic incomplete point clouds, designed to support the training of segmentation and completion networks, respectively. Experiments demonstrate that a PointNet++ model trained with our synthetic data achieves a mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) of 84.2% in real-world bridge semantic segmentation. Concurrently, a fine-tuned KT-Net exhibits superior performance on the component completion task. This research offers an innovative methodology and a foundational dataset for the 3D visual analysis of bridge structures, holding significant implications for advancing the automated management and maintenance of infrastructure.

Enhanced Fingerprint-based Positioning With Practical Imperfections: Deep learning-based approaches

High-precision positioning is vital for cellular networks to support innovative applications such as extended reality, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Existing positioning algorithms using deep learning techniques require vast amounts of labeled data, which are difficult to obtain in real-world cellular environments, and these models often struggle to generalize effectively. To advance cellular positioning techniques, the 2024 Wireless Communication Algorithm Elite Competition as conducted, which provided a dataset from a three-sector outdoor cellular system, incorporating practical challenges such as limited labeled-dataset, dynamic wireless environments within the target and unevenly-spaced anchors, Our team developed three innovative positioning frameworks that swept the top three awards of this competition, namely the semi-supervised framework with consistency, ensemble learning-based algorithm and decoupled mapping heads-based algorithm. Specifically, the semi-supervised framework with consistency effectively generates high-quality pseudo-labels, enlarging the labeled-dataset for model training. The ensemble learning-based algorithm amalgamates the positioning coordinates from models trained under different strategies, effectively combating the dynamic positioning environments. The decoupled mapping heads-based algorithm utilized sector rotation scheme to resolve the uneven-spaced anchor issue. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of our proposed positioning algorithms compared to existing benchmarks in terms of the {90%, 80%, 67%, 50%} percentile and mean distance error.

Stage-wise Adaptive Label Distribution for Facial Age Estimation

Label ambiguity poses a significant challenge in age estimation tasks. Most existing methods address this issue by modeling correlations between adjacent age groups through label distribution learning. However, they often overlook the varying degrees of ambiguity present across different age stages. In this paper, we propose a Stage-wise Adaptive Label Distribution Learning (SA-LDL) algorithm, which leverages the observation -- revealed through our analysis of embedding similarities between an anchor and all other ages -- that label ambiguity exhibits clear stage-wise patterns. By jointly employing stage-wise adaptive variance modeling and weighted loss function, SA-LDL effectively captures the complex and structured nature of label ambiguity, leading to more accurate and robust age estimation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SA-LDL achieves competitive performance, with MAE of 1.74 and 2.15 on the MORPH-II and FG-NET datasets.

Production of leptonium in heavy quarkonium decays

Lepton pairs with opposite charges can form bound states known as ``leptonium'' through quantum electrodynamic interactions. Heavy quarkonia such as $J/ψ$ are abundantly produced at facilities like BESIII and the future Super Tau-Charm Facility (STCF). In this work, we investigate leptonium production in heavy quarkonium decays, specifically focusing on the processes ${\cal{Q}} \longrightarrow (l_1^+ l_2^-)[n] +γ$ ($l_{1,2}= τ,\, μ,\, e$) and ${\cal{Q}} \longrightarrow (l_1^+ l_2^-)[n] + l_1^- l_2^+$. Here, ${\cal{Q}}$ denotes the heavy quarkonium $J/ψ$ or $Υ$, while $n=$ ${^1S_0}$ or $^3S_1$ corresponds to para-leptonium and ortho-leptonium, respectively. With an annual production of $3.4 \times 10^{12}$ $J/ψ$ events at STCF, there is significant potential to observe positronium $(e^+e^-)$, muonium $(μ^+e^-)$, and dimuonium $(μ^+μ^-)$. In particular, the ortho-dimuonium $(μ^+μ^-)[^3S_1]$ may be discovered at the future STCF, with an inclusive branching fraction of $Br(J/ψ\longrightarrow (μ^+μ^-)[^3S_1] +X) = 1.5 \times 10^{-12}$.

Production of doubly charmed tetraquark $T_{cc}$ via photon-photon fusion at electron-positron colliders

Within a phenomenological diquark fragmentation model, we study the production of doubly charmed tetraquark $T_{cc}$ via photon-photon fusion at electron-positron colliders. The production of $T_{cc}$ is divided into two steps: the perturbative production of heavy $(cc)$-diquark and its nonperturbative hadronization. Two diquark configurations of $(cc)[^3S_1]_{\bar{3}}$ and $(cc)[^1S_0]_{6}$ are considered, and the $(cc)[^3S_1]_{\bar{3}}$ state dominates the produciotn of $T_{cc}$. We discuss two hadronization models of $(cc)[^3S_1]_{\bar{3}}$ intermediate state into the tetraquark $T_{cc}$. It is found that it is promising to observe the tetraquark $T_{cc}$ via photon-photon fusion process both at the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) and the International Linear Collider (ILC). We find that the cross sections are sensitive to constituent charm quark mass of diquark, and they also have strong dependence on the hadronization models.

Phase stabilization of In2Se3 by disordered Ni intercalation and its enhanced thermoelectrical performance

Van der Waals (vdW) layered materials have gained significant attention owing to their distinctive structure and unique properties. The weak interlayer bonding in vdW layered materials enables guest atom intercalation, allowing precise tuning of their physical and chemical properties. In this work, a ternary compound, NixIn2Se3 (x = 0-0.3), with Ni randomly occupying the interlayers of In2Se3, was synthesized via an intercalation route driven by electron injection. The intercalated Ni atoms act as anchor points within the interlayer of In2Se3, which effectively suppresses the phase transition of In2Se3 at elevated temperatures. Furthermore, the disordered Ni intercalation significantly enhanced the electrical conductivity of In2Se3 through electron injection, while reducing the thermal conductivity due to the interlayer phonon scattering, leading to an improved thermoelectric performance. For instance, the thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) of Ni0.3In2Se3 increased by 86% (in-plane) and 222% (out-of-plane) compared to In2Se3 at 500 oC. These findings not only provide an effective strategy to enhance the performance of layered thermoelectric materials, but also demonstrate the potential of intercalation chemistry for expanding the application scope of van der Waals (vdW) layered materials.

The Land$\acute{e}$ $g$ factors of Ba$^+$ are very important in high-precision measurement physics. The wave functions, energy levels, and Land$\acute{e}$ $g$ factors for the $6s$ $^{2}S_{1/2}$ and $5d$ $^{2}D_{3/2,5/2}$ states of Ba$^{+}$ ions were calculated using the multi-configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) method and the Model-QED method. The contributions of the electron correlation effects and quantum electrodynamics (QED) effects were discussed in detail. The transition energies are in excellent agreement with the experimental results, with differences of approximately 5 cm$^{-1}$. The presently calculated $g$ factor of 2.0024905(16) for the $6S_{1/2}$ agrees very well with the available experimental and theoretical results, with a difference at a level of 10$^{-6}$. For the $5D_{3/2, 5/2}$ states, the present results of 0.7993961(126) and 1.2003942(190) agree with the experimental results of 0.7993278(3) [\textcolor{blue}{Phys. Rev. Machine Learning Assisted Modeling of Amorphous TiO$_2$-Doped GeO$_2$ for Advanced LIGO Mirror Coatings

The mechanical loss angle of amorphous TiO$_2$-doped GeO$_2$ can be lower than 10$^{-4}$, making it a candidate for Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) mirror coatings. Amorphous oxides have complex atomic structures that are influenced by various factors, including doping concentration, preparation, and thermal history, resulting in different mass densities and physical properties. Modeling at atomistic level enables capturing these effects by generating atomic structure models according to experimental conditions. In order to obtain reliable and physical amorphous models at an affordable cost, we develop classical and machine-learning potentials (MLP) to speed up simulations. First-principles calculations are used to train and validate MLP as well as validating structure models. To better reproduce properties such as elastic modulus, radial distribution function (RDF) and the variations in mass density of doped amorphous oxides, density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to optimize the final models. We find that the mass densities of amorphous systems are correlated with the total void volume. The experimental mass density matches the models with the most symmetric potential energy wells under volume change. The elastic response of the metal-oxygen network is also studied. The 27\% TiO$_2$ doped GeO$_2$ system shows the least number of large atom-atom distance changes, while for 44\% TiO$_2$ doped GeO$_2$, a majority of Ti-O distances are significantly changed. In response to strains, the metal-oxygen network at low mass densities prefers to adjust bond angles, while at high mass densities, the adjustment is mainly done by changing atom-atom distance.

SplitFrozen: Split Learning with Device-side Model Frozen for Fine-Tuning LLM on Heterogeneous Resource-Constrained Devices

Fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) on private, on-device data can empower tailored personalized AI agents. However, fine-tuning LLMs on resource-constrained edge devices faces significant challenges, including excessive computation overhead, device heterogeneity, and data imbalance. This paper proposes SplitFrozen, a split learning framework that enables efficient LLM fine-tuning by strategically freezing device-side model layers while centralizing parameter-efficient fine-tuning on the server. Our framework partitions LLMs into device-side frozen layers and server-side fine-tuning layers, where heterogeneous resource-constrained devices execute only forward propagation. To minimize server-side training costs, we integrate Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) into the server-side layers. A pipeline parallelism strategy further optimizes training efficiency by decoupling device-server computations and leveraging decomposed backward propagation. Experiments on GPT-2 with the MRPC, MNLI-matched, and SST-2 datasets demonstrate that SplitFrozen outperforms FedLoRA and SplitLoRA by 69.4\% model accuracy under extremely imbalanced data, while reducing up to 86.8\% device-side computations and 50.2\% total training time. Experiments also validate the scalability of SplitFrozen on content generation task using Llama-3.2 model on GSM8K dataset.

InstructPipe: Generating Visual Blocks Pipelines with Human Instructions and LLMs

Visual programming has the potential of providing novice programmers with a low-code experience to build customized processing pipelines. Existing systems typically require users to build pipelines from scratch, implying that novice users are expected to set up and link appropriate nodes from a blank workspace. In this paper, we introduce InstructPipe, an AI assistant for prototyping machine learning (ML) pipelines with text instructions. We contribute two large language model (LLM) modules and a code interpreter as part of our framework. The LLM modules generate pseudocode for a target pipeline, and the interpreter renders the pipeline in the node-graph editor for further human-AI collaboration. Both technical and user evaluation (N=16) shows that InstructPipe empowers users to streamline their ML pipeline workflow, reduce their learning curve, and leverage open-ended commands to spark innovative ideas.

C2S-AE: CSI to Sensing enabled by an Auto-Encoder-based Framework

Next-generation mobile networks are set to utilize integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) as a critical technology, providing significant support for sectors like the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), extended reality (XR), and smart home applications. A key challenge in ISAC implementation is the extraction of sensing parameters from radio signals, a task that conventional methods struggle to achieve due to the complexity of acquiring sensing channel data. In this paper, we introduce a novel auto-encoder (AE)-based framework to acquire sensing information using channel state information (CSI). Specifically, our framework, termed C2S (CSI to sensing)-AE, learns the relationship between CSI and the delay power spectrum (DPS), from which the range information can be readily accessed. To validate our framework's performance, we conducted measurements of DPS and CSI in real-world scenarios and introduced the dataset 'SHU7'. Our extensive experiments demonstrate that the framework excels in C2S extrapolation, surpassing existing methods in terms of accuracy for both delay and signal strength of individual paths. This innovative approach holds the potential to greatly enhance sensing capabilities in future mobile networks, paving the way for more robust and versatile ISAC applications.

A MIMO Wireless Channel Foundation Model via CIR-CSI Consistency

In the field of artificial intelligence, self-supervised learning has demonstrated superior generalization capabilities by leveraging large-scale unlabeled datasets for pretraining, which is especially critical for wireless communication models to adapt to a variety of scenarios. This paper innovatively treats Channel State Information (CSI) and Channel Impulse Response (CIR) as naturally aligned multi-modal data and proposes the first MIMO wireless channel foundation model, named CSI-CLIP. By effectively capturing the joint representations of both CIR and CSI, CSI-CLIP exhibits remarkable adaptability across scenarios and robust feature extraction capabilities. Experimental results show that in positioning task, CSI-CLIP reduces the mean error distance by 22%; in beam management task, it increases accuracy by 1% compared to traditional supervised methods, as well as in the channel identification task. These improvements not only highlight the potential and value of CSI-CLIP in integrating sensing and communication but also demonstrate its significant advantages over existing techniques. Moreover, viewing CSI and CIR as multi-modal pairs and contrastive learning for wireless channel foundation model open up new research directions in the domain of MIMO wireless communications.

MTCA: Multi-Task Channel Analysis for Wireless Communication

In modern wireless communication systems, the effective processing of Channel State Information (CSI) is crucial for enhancing communication quality and reliability. However, current methods often handle different tasks in isolation, thereby neglecting the synergies among various tasks and leading to extract CSI features inadequately for subsequent analysis. To address these limitations, this paper introduces a novel Multi-Task Channel Analysis framework named MTCA, aimed at improving the performance of wireless communication even sensing. MTCA is designed to handle four critical tasks, including channel prediction, antenna-domain channel extrapolation, channel identification, and scenario classification. Experiments conducted on a multi-scenario, multi-antenna dataset tailored for UAV-based communications demonstrate that the proposed MTCA exhibits superior comprehension of CSI, achieving enhanced performance across all evaluated tasks. Notably, MTCA reached 100% prediction accuracy in channel identification and scenario classification. Compared to the previous state-of-the-art methods, MTCA improved channel prediction performance by 20.1% and antenna-domain extrapolation performance by 54.5%.

Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Bidding Strategies for Prosumers Trading in Double Auction-Based Transactive Energy Market

With the large number of prosumers deploying distributed energy resources (DERs), integrating these prosumers into a transactive energy market (TEM) is a trend for the future smart grid. A community-based double auction market is considered a promising TEM that can encourage prosumers to participate and maximize social welfare. However, the traditional TEM is challenging to model explicitly due to the random bidding behavior of prosumers and uncertainties caused by the energy operation of DERs. Furthermore, although reinforcement learning algorithms provide a model-free solution to optimize prosumers' bidding strategies, their use in TEM is still challenging due to their scalability, stability, and privacy protection limitations. To address the above challenges, in this study, we design a double auction-based TEM with multiple DERs-equipped prosumers to transparently and efficiently manage energy transactions. We also propose a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) model with distributed learning and execution to ensure the scalability and privacy of the market environment. Additionally, the design of two bidding actions (i.e., bidding price and quantity) optimizes the bidding strategies for prosumers. Simulation results show that (1) the designed TEM and DRL model are robust; (2) the proposed DRL model effectively balances the energy payment and comfort satisfaction for prosumers and outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in optimizing the bidding strategies.
