NavArena: Automated Construction of Goal-Oriented Navigation Benchmarks from 3D Gaussian Splatting Reconstructions

Fixed 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) reconstructions provide realistic novel views but lack the traversability constraints, valid goals, and closed-loop protocols required for navigation evaluation. We introduce NavArena, an automated framework that transforms fixed 3DGS reconstructions into benchmarks for goal-oriented visual navigation. NavArena integrates a frozen 3DGS model for egocentric RGB-D rendering, an occupancy costmap derived from Gaussian density and height statistics for reachability and collision queries, and semantic goal candidates lifted from multi-view open-vocabulary masks. These components support the automatic generation and unified closed-loop evaluation of goal-oriented navigation episodes. Across more than 2{,}000 scenes, NavArena generates 22.2 million expert trajectories. Spatial and semantic evaluations assess the derived navigation representations, while policy rollouts demonstrate the diagnostic value of the unified evaluation protocol. NavArena enables scalable and reproducible navigation evaluation on large-scale 3DGS reconstructions, and all benchmark-generation tools, evaluation protocols, and derived assets will be released publicly.

ManipArena: Comprehensive Real-world Evaluation of Reasoning-Oriented Generalist Robot Manipulation

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and world-action models have emerged as central paradigms for general-purpose robotic intelligence, yet their empirical progress remains constrained by the absence of evaluation protocols that are both physically realistic and diagnostically controlled. Simulator-centric benchmarks provide scale and reproducibility, but cannot fully capture the reality gap induced by perception noise, contact dynamics, latency, calibration error, and hardware constraints. Conversely, real-robot evaluations are often fragmented across platforms, scenes, objects, and scoring rules, making fair comparison and failure attribution difficult. We introduce ManipArena, a standardized real-robot evaluation framework for studying manipulation generalization under matched physical conditions. ManipArena comprises 20 tasks, 10,812 expert trajectories, 13.5M frames, and approximately 188 robot hours across tabletop and mobile manipulation. The framework combines schema-defined task variation, stratified in-domain, visualshift, and semantic-OOD trials, subtask-level partial-credit scoring, three-level language annotations, low-level motor signals, and paired real-to-sim environments reconstructed from physical scenes. Using ManipArena, we evaluate seven tabletop configurations spanning VLA and world-action-model policies. The results show that real-robot conclusions depend not only on architecture, but also on model provenance, fine-tuning regime, data sampling, and annotation granularity. ManipArena thus provides a reproducible and interpretable foundation for diagnosing capability boundaries and failure modes in embodied generalization.

FoodLMM: A Versatile Food Assistant using Large Multi-modal Model

Large Multi-modal Models (LMMs) have made impressive progress in many vision-language tasks. Nevertheless, the performance of general LMMs in specific domains is still far from satisfactory. This paper proposes FoodLMM, a versatile food assistant based on LMMs with various capabilities, including food recognition, ingredient recognition, recipe generation, nutrition estimation, food segmentation and multi-round conversation. To facilitate FoodLMM to deal with tasks beyond pure text output, we introduce a series of novel task-specific tokens and heads, enabling the model to predict food nutritional values and multiple segmentation masks. We adopt a two-stage training strategy. In the first stage, we utilize multiple public food benchmarks for multi-task learning by leveraging the instruct-following paradigm. In the second stage, we construct a multi-round conversation dataset and a reasoning segmentation dataset to fine-tune the model, enabling it to conduct professional dialogues and generate segmentation masks based on complex reasoning in the food domain. Our fine-tuned FoodLMM achieves state-of-the-art results across several food benchmarks. We will make our code, models and datasets publicly available.
