BEAVER: A Training-Free Hierarchical Prompt Compression Method via Structure-Aware Page Selection

The exponential expansion of context windows in LLMs has unlocked capabilities for long-document understanding but introduced severe bottlenecks in inference latency and information utilization. Existing compression methods often suffer from high training costs or semantic fragmentation due to aggressive token pruning. In this paper, we propose BEAVER, a novel training-free framework that shifts compression from linear token removal to structure-aware hierarchical selection. BEAVER maximizes hardware parallelism by mapping variable-length contexts into dense page-level tensors via dual-path pooling, and preserves discourse integrity through a hybrid planner combining semantic and lexical dual-branch selection with sentence smoothing. Extensive evaluations on four long-context benchmarks demonstrate that BEAVER achieves comparable performance to state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods like LongLLMLingua. Notably, on the RULER benchmark, BEAVER maintains high fidelity in multi-needle retrieval where baselines deteriorate. Regarding efficiency, BEAVER reduces latency by 26.4x on 128k contexts, offering a scalable solution for high-throughput applications. Our code is available at https://cslikai.cn/BEAVER/.

A402: Binding Cryptocurrency Payments to Service Execution for Agentic Commerce

The rapid proliferation of autonomous AI agents is driving a shift toward agentic commerce, where agents are expected to autonomously invoke and pay for services. While blockchain-based payments offer a programmable foundation for such interactions, the recently proposed x402 standard fails to enforce end-to-end atomicity across service execution, payment, and result delivery. In this paper, we present A402, a trust-minimized payment architecture that securely binds cryptocurrency payments to service execution. A402 introduces Atomic Service Channels (ASCs), a new channel protocol that integrates service execution into payment channels, enabling real-time, high-frequency micropayments for agentic commerce. Within each ASC, A402 employs an atomic exchange protocol based on TEE-assisted adaptor signatures, ensuring that payments are finalized if and only if the requested service is correctly executed and the corresponding result is delivered. To further ensure privacy, A402 incorporates a TEE-based Liquidity Vault that privately manages the lifecycle of ASCs and aggregates their settlements into a single on-chain transaction, revealing only aggregated balances. We implement A402 and evaluate it against x402 with integrations on both Bitcoin and Ethereum. Our results show that A402 delivers orders-of-magnitude performance and on-chain cost improvements over x402 while providing trust-minimized security guarantees.

OMNIINTENT: A Trusted Intent-Centric Framework for User-Friendly Web3

The increasingly complex Web3 ecosystem and decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape demand ever higher levels of technical expertise and financial literacy from participants. The Intent-Centric paradigm in DeFi has thus emerged in response, which allows users to focus on their trading intents rather than the underlying execution details. However, existing approaches, including Typed-intent design and LLM-driven solver, trade off expressiveness, trust, privacy, and composability. We present OMNIINTENT, a language-runtime co-design that reconciles these requirements. OMNIINTENT introduces ICL, a domain-specific Intent-Centric Language for precise yet flexible specification of triggers, actions, and runtime constraints; a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE)-based compiler that compiles intents into signed, state-bound transactions inside an enclave; and an execution optimizer that constructs transaction dependency graphs for safe parallel batch submission and a mempool-aware feasibility checker that predicts execution outcomes. Our full-stack prototype processes diverse DeFi scenarios, achieving 89.6% intent coverage, up to 7.3x throughput speedup via parallel execution, and feasibility-prediction accuracy up to 99.2% with low latency.

Visualizing Nanoscopic Acoustic Mode Competition in van der Waals Ferroelectric

Understanding how low-dimensional ferroelectrics respond to ultrafast excitation at nanoscales is essential for controlling energy flow and mechanical functionality in next-generation polar devices, yet the nanoscopic structural response to ultrafast depolarization remains unresolved, obscuring the microscopic pathways of acoustic decoherence and energy dissipation. Here, we spatiotemporally resolve lattice motion in the van der Waals ferroelectric NbOI2 using combined ultrafast electron microscopy and diffraction, revealing three acoustic phonons: two transverse shear modes and one longitudinal breathing mode. The transverse mode that shears the layers perpendicular to the in-plane polar axis dominates over that along the polar axis, reflecting anisotropic polarization-strain coupling. Real-space mapping uncovers spatially correlated heterogeneity in mode amplitudes and lifetimes. Regions dominated by a single shear mode exhibit significantly longer acoustic lifetimes than multimode regions, suggesting acoustic phonon-phonon scattering as a major source of decoherence. Our results provide a microscopic understanding of ultrafast depolarization-driven acoustic dynamics and spatially heterogeneous energy dissipation in van der Waals ferroelectrics.

Micro-expression Recognition Based on Dual-branch Feature Extraction and Fusion

Micro-expressions, characterized by transience and subtlety, pose challenges to existing optical flow-based recognition methods. To address this, this paper proposes a dual-branch micro-expression feature extraction network integrated with parallel attention. Key contributions include: 1) a residual network designed to alleviate gradient anishing and network degradation; 2) an Inception network constructed to enhance model representation and suppress interference from irrelevant regions; 3) an adaptive feature fusion module developed to integrate dual-branch features. Experiments on the CASME II dataset demonstrate that the proposed method achieves 74.67% accuracy, outperforming LBP-TOP (by 11.26%), MSMMT (by 3.36%), and other comparative methods.

Disentangling Shared and Target-Enriched Topics via Background-Contrastive Non-negative Matrix Factorization

Biological signals of interest in high-dimensional data are often masked by dominant variation shared across conditions. This variation, arising from baseline biological structure or technical effects, can prevent standard dimensionality reduction methods from resolving condition-specific structure. The challenge is that these confounding topics are often unknown and mixed with biological signals. Existing background correction methods are either unscalable to high dimensions or not interpretable. We introduce background contrastive Non-negative Matrix Factorization (\model), which extracts target-enriched latent topics by jointly factorizing a target dataset and a matched background using shared non-negative bases under a contrastive objective that suppresses background-expressed structure. This approach yields non-negative components that are directly interpretable at the feature level, and explicitly isolates target-specific variation. \model is learned by an efficient multiplicative update algorithm via matrix multiplication such that it is highly efficient on GPU hardware and scalable to big data via minibatch training akin to deep learning approach. Across simulations and diverse biological datasets, \model reveals signals obscured by conventional methods, including disease-associated programs in postmortem depressive brain single-cell RNA-seq, genotype-linked protein expression patterns in mice, treatment-specific transcriptional changes in leukemia, and TP53-dependent drug responses in cancer cell lines.

TriniMark: A Robust Generative Speech Watermarking Method for Trinity-Level Traceability

Diffusion-based speech generation has achieved remarkable fidelity, increasing the risk of misuse and unauthorized redistribution. However, most existing generative speech watermarking methods are developed for GAN-based pipelines, and watermarking for diffusion-based speech generation remains comparatively underexplored. In addition, prior work often focuses on content-level provenance, while support for model-level and user-level attribution is less mature. We propose \textbf{TriniMark}, a diffusion-based generative speech watermarking framework that targets trinity-level traceability, i.e., the ability to associate a generated speech sample with (i) the embedded watermark message (content-level provenance), (ii) the source generative model (model-level attribution), and (iii) the end user who requested generation (user-level traceability). TriniMark uses a lightweight encoder to embed watermark bits into time-domain speech features and reconstruct the waveform, and a temporal-aware gated convolutional decoder for reliable bit recovery. We further introduce a waveform-guided fine-tuning strategy to transfer watermarking capability into a diffusion model. Finally, we incorporate variable-watermark training so that a single trained model can embed different watermark messages at inference time, enabling scalable user-level traceability. Experiments on speech datasets indicate that TriniMark maintains speech quality while improving robustness to common single and compound signal-processing attacks, and it supports high-capacity watermarking for large-scale traceability.

Non-Abelian Aharonov-Bohm Caging in Synthetic Dimensions with a Trapped Ion

Aharonov-Bohm (AB) caging is a complete localization phenomenon in two-dimensional lattices due to destructive interference induced by the background gauge fields. However, current investigations of AB caging are mostly restricted to the Abelian gauge field case, and the observation of AB caging under non-Abelian gauge fields in a quantum system still remains elusive. Here, we report experimental realization of tunable synthetic non-Abelian SU(2) gauge fields in a rhombic lattice, engineered within the synthetic dimensions of a vibrating trapped ion with multiple levels. We realize AB caging under both Abelian and non-Abelian gauge fields and systematically investigate the distinctive transport properties of the non-Abelian case. In particular, we observe typical emergent quantum dynamics unique to non-Abelian AB caging, including initial-state-dependent dynamics, second-order effects, and asymmetric caging behavior. These observations demonstrate the trapped ion system as a powerful platform for simulating emergent phenomena in high-dimensional quantum systems with exotic synthetic gauge fields.

Rigorous Derivation of the Degenerate Parabolic-Elliptic Keller-Segel System from a Moderately Interacting Stochastic Particle System. Part II Propagation of Chaos

This work is a series of two articles. The main goal is to rigorously derive the degenerate parabolic-elliptic Keller-Segel system in the sub-critical regime from a moderately interacting stochastic particle system. In the first article [7], we establish the classical solution theory of the degenerate parabolic-elliptic Keller-Segel system and its non-local version. In the second article, which is the current one, we derive a propagation of chaos result, where the classical solution theory obtained in the first article is used to derive required estimates for the particle system. Due to the degeneracy of the non-linear diffusion and the singular aggregation effect in the system, we perform an approximation of the stochastic particle system by using a cut-offed interacting potential. An additional linear diffusion on the particle level is used as a parabolic regularization of the system. We present the propagation of chaos result with logarithmic scalings. Consequently, the propagation of chaos follows directly from convergence in the sense of expectation and the vanishing viscosity argument of the Keller-Segel system.

DRAGON: Domain-specific Robust Automatic Data Generation for RAG Optimization

Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) can substantially enhance the performance of LLMs on knowledge-intensive tasks. Various RAG paradigms - including vanilla, planning-based, and iterative RAG - all depend on a robust retriever, yet existing retrievers rely heavily on public knowledge and often falter when faced with domain-specific queries. To address these limitations, we introduce DRAGON, a framework that combines a data-construction modeling approach with a scalable synthetic data-generation pipeline, specifically designed to optimize domain-specific retrieval performance and bolster retriever robustness. To evaluate RAG performance on domain-specific RAGs, we propose DRAGONBench, a benchmark spanning 8 domain-specific document collections across 4 distinct fields and featuring a wide spectrum of query complexities, answerability, and hop numbers. Leveraging DRAGON, we generate a large-scale synthetic dataset - encompassing both single-hop and multi-hop queries - to enrich retriever training. Extensive experiments demonstrate that retrievers trained on this data yield significant performance gains and exhibit strong cross-domain generalization. Moreover, when our optimized retrievers are integrated into vanilla, planning-based, and iterative RAG paradigms, we observe consistent end-to-end improvements in system accuracy.

VocBulwark: Towards Practical Generative Speech Watermarking via Additional-Parameter Injection

Generated speech achieves human-level naturalness but escalates security risks of misuse. However, existing watermarking methods fail to reconcile fidelity with robustness, as they rely either on simple superposition in the noise space or on intrusive alterations to model weights. To bridge this gap, we propose VocBulwark, an additional-parameter injection framework that freezes generative model parameters to preserve perceptual quality. Specifically, we design a Temporal Adapter to deeply entangle watermarks with acoustic attributes, synergizing with a Coarse-to-Fine Gated Extractor to resist advanced attacks. Furthermore, we develop an Accuracy-Guided Optimization Curriculum that dynamically orchestrates gradient flow to resolve the optimization conflict between fidelity and robustness. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that VocBulwark achieves high-capacity and high-fidelity watermarking, offering robust defense against complex practical scenarios, with resilience to Codec regenerations and variable-length manipulations.

FedCARE: Federated Unlearning with Conflict-Aware Projection and Relearning-Resistant Recovery

Federated learning (FL) enables collaborative model training without centralizing raw data, but privacy regulations such as the right to be forgotten require FL systems to remove the influence of previously used training data upon request. Retraining a federated model from scratch is prohibitively expensive, motivating federated unlearning (FU). However, existing FU methods suffer from high unlearning overhead, utility degradation caused by entangled knowledge, and unintended relearning during post-unlearning recovery. In this paper, we propose FedCARE, a unified and low overhead FU framework that enables conflict-aware unlearning and relearning-resistant recovery. FedCARE leverages gradient ascent for efficient forgetting when target data are locally available and employs data free model inversion to construct class level proxies of shared knowledge. Based on these insights, FedCARE integrates a pseudo-sample generator, conflict-aware projected gradient ascent for utility preserving unlearning, and a recovery strategy that suppresses rollback toward the pre-unlearning model. FedCARE supports client, instance, and class level unlearning with modest overhead. Extensive experiments on multiple datasets and model architectures under both IID and non-IID settings show that FedCARE achieves effective forgetting, improved utility retention, and reduced relearning risk compared to state of the art FU baselines.

Model-free Analysis of Scattering and Imaging Data with Escort-Weighted Shannon Entropy and Divergence Matrices

We demonstrate a model-free data analysis framework that leverages escort-weighted Shannon Entropy and several divergence matrices to detect phase transitions in scattering and imaging datasets. By establishing a connection between physical entropy and informational entropy, this approach provides a sensitive method for identifying phase transitions without an explicit physical model or order parameter. We further show that pairwise divergence matrices, including Kullback-Leibler divergence, Jeffrey Divergence, Jensen-Shannon Divergence and antisymmetric Kullback-Leibler divergence, provide more comprehensive measures of statistical changes than scalar entropy alone. Our approach successfully detects the onset of both long- and short-range order in neutron and X-ray scattering data, as well as a non-trivial phase transition in magnetic skyrmion lattices observed through Lorentz-transition electron microscopy. These results establish a framework for automated, model-free analysis of experimental data with broad applications in materials science and condensed matter physics.

SceneSplat++: A Large Dataset and Comprehensive Benchmark for Language Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) serves as a highly performant and efficient encoding of scene geometry, appearance, and semantics. Moreover, grounding language in 3D scenes has proven to be an effective strategy for 3D scene understanding. Current Language Gaussian Splatting line of work fall into three main groups: (i) per-scene optimization-based, (ii) per-scene optimization-free, and (iii) generalizable approach. However, most of them are evaluated only on rendered 2D views of a handful of scenes and viewpoints close to the training views, limiting ability and insight into holistic 3D understanding. To address this gap, we propose the first large-scale benchmark that systematically assesses these three groups of methods directly in 3D space, evaluating on 1060 scenes across three indoor datasets and one outdoor dataset. Benchmark results demonstrate a clear advantage of the generalizable paradigm, particularly in relaxing the scene-specific limitation, enabling fast feed-forward inference on novel scenes, and achieving superior segmentation performance. We further introduce GaussianWorld-49K a carefully curated 3DGS dataset comprising around 49K diverse indoor and outdoor scenes obtained from multiple sources, with which we demonstrate the generalizable approach could harness strong data priors. Our codes, benchmark, and datasets are released at https://scenesplatpp.gaussianworld.ai/.

On-Chip Generation of Co-Polarized and Spectrally Separable Photon Pairs

On-chip generation of high-purity single photons is essential for scalable photonic quantum technologies. Spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) is widely used to generate photon pairs for heralded single-photon sources, but intrinsic spectral correlations of the pairs often limit the purity and interference visibility of the heralded photons. Existing approaches to suppress these correlations rely on narrowband spectral filtering, which introduces loss, or exploiting different polarizations, which complicates on-chip integration. Here, we demonstrate a new strategy for generating spectrally separable photon pairs in thin-film lithium niobate nanophotonic circuits by harnessing higher-order spatial modes, with all interacting fields residing in the same polarization. Spectral separability is achieved by engineering group-velocity matching using higher-order transverse-electric modes, combined with a Gaussian-apodized poling profile to further suppress residual correlations inherent to standard periodic poling. Subsequent on-chip mode conversion with efficiency exceeding 95\% maps the higher-order mode to the fundamental mode and routes the photons into distinct output channels. The resulting heralded photons exhibit spectral purities exceeding 94\% inferred from joint-spectral intensity and 89\% from unheralded $g^{(2)}$ measurement. This approach enables flexible spectral and temporal engineering of on-chip quantum light sources for quantum computing and quantum networking.

A non-equilibrium strategy for the general synthesis of single-atom catalysts

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) maximize atom efficiency and exhibit unique electronic structures, yet realizing precise and scalable atomic dispersion remains a key challenge. Here, we report a non-equilibrium strategy for the scalable synthesis of SACs via ion implantation, enabling precise stabilization of metal atoms on diverse supports. Using an industrial-grade ion source, wafer-scale ion implantation with milliampere-level beam currents enables high-throughput fabrication of SACs, while the synergistic energy-mass effects stabilize isolated metal atoms in situ. A library of 36 SACs was constructed, and the resulting Pt/MoS2 exhibits outstanding hydrogen evolution performance with an overpotential of only 26 mV at 10 mA cm-2 and exceptional long-term stability, surpassing commercial Pt/C. This work demonstrates ion implantation as a versatile platform bridging fundamental SACs design and scalable manufacturing, providing new opportunities for high-performance catalysts in energy conversion applications.

Qihe: A General-Purpose Static Analysis Framework for Verilog

In the past decades, static analysis has thrived in software, facilitating applications in bug detection, security, and program understanding. These advanced analyses are largely underpinned by general-purpose static analysis frameworks, which offer essential infrastructure to streamline their development. Conversely, hardware lacks such a framework, which overshadows the promising opportunities for sophisticated static analysis in hardware, hindering achievements akin to those witnessed in software. We thus introduce Qihe, the first general-purpose static analysis framework for Verilog -- a highly challenging endeavor given the absence of precedents in hardware. Qihe features an analysis-oriented front end, a Verilog-specific IR, and a suite of diverse fundamental analyses that capture essential hardware-specific characteristics -- such as bit-vector arithmetic, register synchronization, and digital component concurrency -- and enable the examination of intricate hardware data and control flows. These fundamental analyses are designed to support a wide array of hardware analysis clients. To validate Qihe's utility, we further developed a set of clients spanning bug detection, security, and program understanding. Our preliminary experimental results are highly promising; for example, Qihe uncovered 9 previously unknown bugs in popular real-world hardware projects (averaging 1.5K+ GitHub stars), all of which were confirmed by developers; moreover, Qihe successfully identified 18 bugs beyond the capabilities of existing static analyses for Verilog bug detection (i.e., linters), and detected 16 vulnerabilities in real-world hardware programs. By open-sourcing Qihe, which comprises over 100K lines of code, we aim to inspire further innovation and applications of sophisticated static analysis for hardware, aspiring to foster a similarly vibrant ecosystem that software analysis enjoys.

Agent Bain vs. Agent McKinsey: A New Text-to-SQL Benchmark for the Business Domain

Text-to-SQL benchmarks have traditionally only tested simple data access as a translation task of natural language to SQL queries. But in reality, users tend to ask diverse questions that require more complex responses including data-driven predictions or recommendations. Using the business domain as a motivating example, we introduce CORGI, a new benchmark that expands text-to-SQL to reflect practical database queries encountered by end users. CORGI is composed of synthetic databases inspired by enterprises such as DoorDash, Airbnb, and Lululemon. It provides questions across four increasingly complicated categories of business queries: descriptive, explanatory, predictive, and recommendational. This challenge calls for causal reasoning, temporal forecasting, and strategic recommendation, reflecting multi-level and multi-step agentic intelligence. We find that LLM performance degrades on higher-level questions as question complexity increases. CORGI also introduces and encourages the text-to-SQL community to consider new automatic methods for evaluating open-ended, qualitative responses in data access tasks. Our experiments show that LLMs exhibit an average 33.12% lower success execution rate (SER) on CORGI compared to existing benchmarks such as BIRD, highlighting the substantially higher complexity of real-world business needs. We release the CORGI dataset, an evaluation framework, and a submission website to support future research.
