Probabilistic degenerate poly-Bell polynomials associated with random variables

Let Y be a random variable whose moment generating function exists in a neighborhood of the origin. The aim of this paper is to study the probabilistic degenerate poly-Bell polynomials associated with the random variable Y, arising from the degenerate polyexponential functions, which are probabilistic extensions of degenerate versions of the poly-Bell polynomials. We derive several explicit expressions and some related identities for them. In addition, we consider the special cases that Y is the Bernoulli random variable with probability of success p or the gamma random variable with parameters 1,1.

Probabilistic degenerate Bernstein polynomials

In recent years, both degenerate versions and probabilistic extensions of many special numbers and polynomials have been explored. For instance, degenerate Bernstein polynomials and probabilistic Bernstein polynomials were investigated earlier. Assume that Y is a random variable whose moment generating function exists in a neighborhood of the origin. The aim of this paper is to study probabilistic degenerate Bernstein polynomials associated with Y which are both probabilistic extension of the degenerate Bernstein polynomials and degenerate version of the probabilistic Bernstein polynomials associated with $Y$. We derive several explicit expressions and certain related identities for those polynomials. In addition, we treat the special cases of the Poisson random variable, the Bernoulli random variable and of the binomial random variable.

Probabilistic Lah numbers and Lah-Bell polynomials

Let Y be a random variable whose moment generating function exists in some neighborhood of the origin. The aim of this paper is to study the probabilistic Lah numbers associated with Y and the probabilistic Lah-Bell polynomials associated with Y, as probabilistic versions of the Lah numbers and the Lah-Bell polynomials, respectively. We derive some properties, explicit expressions, recurrence relations and certain identities for those numbers and polynomials. In addition, we treat the special cases that Y is the Poisson random variable with parameter {\alpha} > 0 and the Bernoulli random variable with probability of success p.

Probabilistic degenerate Fubini polynomials associated with random variables

Let Y be a random variable such that the moment generating function of Y exists in a neighborhood of the origin. The aim of this paper is to study probabilistic versions of the degenerate Fubini polynomials and the degenerate Fubini polynomials of order $r$, namely the probabilisitc degenerate Fubini polynomials associated with Y and the probabilistic degenerate Fubini polynomials of order r associated with Y. We derive some properties, explicit expressions, certain identities and recurrence relations for those polynomials.

A new type of degenerate poly-Euler polynomials

Many mathematicians have been studying various degenerate versions of special polynomials and numbers in some arithmetic and combinatorial aspects. Our main focus here is a new type of degenerate poly-Euler polynomials and numbers. This focus stems from their nascent importance for applications in combinatorics, number theory and in other aspects of applied mathematics. we construct a new type of degenerate poly-Euler polynomials by using the degenerate polylogarithm functions. We also show several combinatorial identities related to this polynomials and numbers.

Coarse structure of ultrametric spaces with applications

We show how to decompose all separable ultrametric spaces into a "Lego" combinations of scaled versions of full simplices. To do this we introduce metric resolutions of large scale metric spaces, which describe how a space can be broken up into roughly independent pieces. We use these metric resolutions to define the coarse disjoint union of large scale metric spaces, which provides a way of attaching large scale metric spaces to each other in a "coarsely independent way". We use these notions to construct universal spaces in the categories of separable and proper metric spaces of asymptotic dimension $0$, respectively. In doing so we generalize a similar result of Dranishnikov and Zarichnyi as well as Nag\'orko and Bell. However, the new application is a universal space for proper metric spaces of asymptotic dimension $0$, something that eluded those authors. We finish with a description of some countable groups that can serve as such universal spaces.

Universal spaces for asymptotic dimension zero

Dranishnikov and Zarichnyi constructed a universal space in the coarse category of spaces of bounded geometry of asymptotic dimension $0$. In this paper we construct universal spaces in the coarse category of separable (respectively, proper) metric spaces of asymptotic dimension $0$. Our methods provide an alternative proof of Dranishnikov-Zarichnyi result.

Ends of large scale groups

The aim of this paper is to unify the theory of ends of finitely generated groups with that of ends of locally compact, metrizable and connected topological groups. In both theories one proves that, if the number of ends is finite, then it must be at most $2$. In both theories groups of two ends are characterized as having an infinite cyclic subgroup of either finite index or such that its coset space is compact. Our generalization amounts to defining the space of ends of any coarse space and then applying it to large scale groups, a class of groups generalizing both finitely generated groups and locally compact, metrizable and connected topological groups. Additionally, we prove a version of Svarc-Milnor Lemma for large scale groups and we prove that coarsely hyperbolic large scale groups have finite asymptotic dimension provided they have bounded geometry.

Some identities of fully degenerate Dowling and fully degenerate Bell polynomials arising from lambda-umbral calculus

Recently, Kim-Kim introduced the lambda-umbral calculus, in which the lambda-Sheffer sequences occupy the central position. In this paper, we introduce the fully degenerate Bell and the fully degenerate Dowling polynomials, and investigate some properties and identities relating to those polynomials with the help oflambda-umbral calculus. Here we note that the fully degenerate Bell poynomials and the fully degenerate Dowling polynomials are respectively degenerate versions of the Bell polynomials and the Dowling polynomials, of which the latters are the natural extension of the Whitney numbers of the second kind.

Study on q-analogues of Catala-Daehee numbers and polynomials

Catalan-Daehee numbers and polynomials, generating functions of which can be expressed as p-adic Volkenborn integrals on Zp, were studied previously. The aim of this paper is to introduce q-analogues of the catalan-Daehee numbers and polynomials with the help of p-adic q-integrals von Zp. We derive, among other thing, some explicit expressions for the q-analogues of the Catalan-Daehee numbers and polynomials.

Coarse Freundenthal compactification and ends of groups

A coarse compactification of a proper metric space $X$ is any compactification of $X$ that is dominated by its Higson compactification. In this paper we describe the maximal coarse compactification of $X$ whose corona is of dimension $0$. In case of geodesic spaces $X$, it coincides with the Freundenthal compactification of $X$. As an application we provide an alternative way of extending the concept of the number of ends from finitely generated groups to arbitrary countable groups. We present a geometric proof of a generalization of Stallings' theorem by showing that any countable group of two ends contains an infinite cyclic subgroup of finite index. Finally, we define ends of arbitrary coarse spaces.

poly-Dedekind type DC sums involving poly-Euler functions

The classical Dedekind sums appear in the transformation behavior of the logarithm of the Dedekind eta-function under substitutions from the modular group. The Dedekind sums and their generalizations are defined in terms of Bernoulli functions and their generalizations, and are shown to satisfy some reciprocity relations. In contrast, Dedekind type DC (Daehee and Changhee) sums and their generalizations are defined in terms of Euler functions and their generalizations. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the poly-Dedekind type DC sums, which are obtained from the Dedekind type DC sums by replacing the Euler function by poly-Euler functions of arbitrary indices, and to show that those sums satisfy, among other things, a reciprocity relation.
