Earth-Agent-Pro: Towards Real-World Full-Chain Earth Observation with Agents

Real-world Earth observation (EO) agents must translate high-level scientific questions into executable workflows to acquire observations, prepare data, perform domain computations, and derive conclusions from runtime evidence. Existing EO agents typically start from supplied observations, while benchmarks typically provide prepared inputs or candidate answers, leaving full-chain open-world EO execution largely untested. We present Earth-Agent-Pro, an execution-adaptive Plan-and-Execute framework using expert-authored skills to constrain planning and runtime tool use. Workflow-centered structured memory records planned steps, accepted evidence, and their dependencies, enabling repair of only the affected workflow suffix when runtime evidence invalidates a step. Separate large language model adapters use sequence-level supervised fine-tuning for planner workflow composition and node-level group relative policy optimization with locally verifiable rewards for executor tool-argument grounding. Earth-Bench-Pro instantiates 248 expert-curated task cores as 744 questions under three matched regimes. Its 248 Open-World Execution questions span RGB imagery, spectral observations, and remote sensing products, pairing high-level requests with runtime data requirements, executable trajectories, and open-ended answers grounded in execution evidence. With a shared GPT-5 backbone, Earth-Agent-Pro achieves 66.13% LLM-as-Judge accuracy, exceeding ReAct by 20.95 points in this metric and 24.44 points in Tools-In-Order. Joint adapter tuning raises Qwen3.5-9B LLM-as-Judge accuracy from 38.31% to 50.00%, an 11.69-point gain over the untuned configuration. Planning-only evaluation and execution with the reference workflow show that the adapters improve workflow composition and argument grounding, respectively. Code and datasets will be released soon.

STAND: Semantic Anchoring Constraint with Dual-Granularity Disambiguation for Remote Sensing Image Change Captioning

Remote sensing image change captioning (RSICC) aims to describe the difference between two remote sensing images. While recent methods have explored video modeling, they largely overlook the inherent ambiguities in viewpoint, scale, and prior knowledge, lacking effective constraints on the encoder. In this paper, we present STAND, a Semantic Anchoring Constraint with Dual-Granularity Disambiguation for RSICC, to progressively resolve these ambiguities. Specifically, to establish a reliable feature foundation, we first introduce an interpretable constraint to regularize temporal representations. Operating on these purified features, a dual-granularity disambiguation module resolves spatial uncertainties by coupling macro-level global context aggregation for viewpoint confusion with micro-level frequency-refocused attention for small-object scale enhancement. Ultimately, to translate these visually disambiguated features into precise text, a semantic concept anchoring module leverages language categorical priors to tackle knowledge ambiguity during decoding. Extensive experiments verify the superiority of STAND and its effectiveness in addressing ambiguities.

AIFIND: Artifact-Aware Interpreting Fine-Grained Alignment for Incremental Face Forgery Detection

As forgery types continue to emerge consistently, Incremental Face Forgery Detection (IFFD) has become a crucial paradigm. However, existing methods typically rely on data replay or coarse binary supervision, which fails to explicitly constrain the feature space, leading to severe feature drift and catastrophic forgetting. To address this, we propose AIFIND, Artifact-Aware Interpreting Fine-Grained Alignment for Incremental Face Forgery Detection, which leverages semantic anchors to stabilize incremental learning. We design the Artifact-Driven Semantic Prior Generator to instantiate invariant semantic anchors, establishing a fixed coordinate system from low-level artifact cues. These anchors are injected into the image encoder via Artifact-Probe Attention, which explicitly constrains volatile visual features to align with stable semantic anchors. Adaptive Decision Harmonizer harmonizes the classifiers by preserving angular relationships of semantic anchors, maintaining geometric consistency across tasks. Extensive experiments on multiple incremental protocols validate the superiority of AIFIND.

EfficientPosterGen: Semantic-aware Efficient Poster Generation via Token Compression and Accurate Violation Detection

Automated academic poster generation aims to distill lengthy research papers into concise, visually coherent presentations. Existing Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) based approaches, however, suffer from three critical limitations: low information density in full-paper inputs, excessive token consumption, and unreliable layout verification. We present EfficientPosterGen, an end-to-end framework that addresses these challenges through semantic-aware retrieval and token-efficient multimodal generation. EfficientPosterGen introduces three core innovations: (1) Semantic-aware Key Information Retrieval (SKIR), which constructs a semantic contribution graph to model inter-segment relationships and selectively preserves important content; (2) Visual-based Context Compression (VCC), which renders selected text segments into images to shift textual information into the visual modality, significantly reducing token usage while generating poster-ready bullet points; and (3) Agentless Layout Violation Detection (ALVD), a deterministic color-gradient-based algorithm that reliably detects content overflow and spatial sparsity without auxiliary MLLMs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that EfficientPosterGen achieves substantial improvements in token efficiency and layout reliability while maintaining high poster quality, offering a scalable solution for automated academic poster generation.
