Rigidity for local holomorphic isometric maps from the complex unit ball to reducible bounded symmetric domains

Let $U$ be a connected open subset of the complex unit ball $B^n$, $n\geq2$, and let $F_i: U \to Ω_i$ be non-constant holomorphic maps into irreducible bounded symmetric domains. We prove that if $F=(F_1, \cdots, F_m)$ is a holomorphic isometric map from $U$ to the product of $Ω_i$, then every $F_i$ extends to a proper holomorphic isometric embedding up to a positive constant from $B^n$ into $Ω_i$.

Robust CurveMoE: Multi-Norm Adversarial Defense for Mixture-of-Experts Models via Mode Connectivity

Multi-norm adversarial defense aims to protect neural networks against perturbations defined by different norm constraints, but existing methods typically optimize competing robustness objectives within a single parameter configuration, leading to substantial training cost and unfavorable robustness trade-offs. We propose Robust CurveMoE, an efficient mixture-of-experts framework that connects models specialized for different perturbation norms through a low-loss path and exploits the complementary robustness profiles of models along this path. Robust CurveMoE derives clean and norm-specialized experts from robustness-constrained curve locations and selectively expertizes only influential layers, while sharing the remaining parameters across routing paths. To further reduce curve-construction cost, we introduce contribution-guided partial updating, which selects influential curve parameters using initialization-based gradient scores. We also theoretically bound the objective gap between partial and full curve optimization. Experiments on CIFAR-100 and ImageNet-100 with WideResNet and Vision Transformer architectures show that Robust CurveMoE consistently improves clean, norm-specific, and Union accuracy over MSD and ERMC. In particular, it improves Union accuracy by 2.37 and 2.13 percentage points over the strongest baseline on CIFAR-100 and ImageNet-100, respectively. Extensive ablations further validate the effectiveness of partial updating, selective expertization, and robustness-constrained expert selection.

MACD: Multi-Agent Clinical Diagnosis with Self-Learned Knowledge for LLM

Large language models (LLMs) have shown promise in supporting medical diagnosis, with prompting-based methods offering a flexible and deployable means of capability enhancement. However, existing prompt engineering and multi-agent approaches often focus on optimizing single inferences, paying less attention to the accumulation of reusable experience from clinical practice, constraining their real-world applicability. To address this, this study proposes a novel Multi-Agent Clinical Diagnosis (MACD) framework, which allows LLMs to self-learn clinical knowledge via a multi-agent pipeline that summarizes, refines, and applies diagnostic insights, mirroring the professional development of human physicians. We further extend it to a MACD-human collaborative workflow, where multiple LLM-based diagnostician agents engage in iterative consultations, supported by a judge agent and human oversight for cases where agreement is not reached. The MIMIC-MACD cohort comprising 4,390 real-world patient cases across seven diseases is constructed, including 1,314 cases for knowledge learning and 3,076 held-out cases for evaluation. Across diverse open-weight LLMs, MACD significantly improves primary diagnostic accuracy, achieving an average improvement of 11.6 percentage points over established authoritative knowledge, while narrowing the performance gap between open-weight models and state-of-the-art LLMs. Furthermore, the MACD-human workflow yields an 18.3-percentage-point improvement over physician-only diagnosis on text-only vignettes, demonstrating the synergistic potential of human-AI collaboration. This work thus presents a scalable self-learning paradigm that bridges the gap between the intrinsic knowledge of LLMs and the demands of real-world clinical practice, advancing towards a reliable, interpretable, and deployable AI-assisted diagnosis.

From Association to Causation: Improving Retrieval Precision of Retrieval-Augmented Generation via Causal Relations and an Attention Mechanism

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) grounds LLM generation on retrieved documents, but the standard terminal retrieval stage--dense-vector similarity, optionally followed by reranking--often returns documents that share keywords with the query without containing the needed information, a failure mode that grows with the knowledge base. We trace it to a conceptual gap: similarity captures only associational relations, whereas the documents that matter are linked to the query causally. We model the terminal retrieval stage with a causal graph grounded in Reichenbach's common cause principle: the keywords shared by the query and a retrieved document form a latent common cause A, and the document's residual keywords form a latent set B linking the document to the ideal output. Since a retrieved document is a collider (A -> d <- B), retrieval itself opens an associational path between the query and B, which licenses a training-free, attention-style re-scoring rule: the cosine similarity between the query embedding and the weighted centroid embedding of B. Unlike causality-enhanced RAG variants that model causal relations inside the knowledge content, our graph models the causal structure of the retrieval process itself. On a real 471-document enterprise knowledge base, the method promotes a relevant guideline from rank 6 to the top 3; on a controlled diagnostic corpus reproducing the keyword-stuffing regime, it improves the mean target rank from 2.88 to 1.25, while a trained cross-encoder reranker barely helps (2.63). Conversely, on three BEIR benchmarks the score underperforms the similarity baseline, delineating the applicability boundary: the method guards the keyword-stuffing regime of growing proprietary knowledge bases and complements neural rerankers; a corpus-level calibration gate selects the correct regime with >= 95% reliability. A fully local testbed demonstrates deployability.

On the sum of least prime factors in short intervals

Let $p(n)$ denote the least prime factor of $n$ and $L_C(x)=Cx^{1/2}(\log x)^2$ with $C>0$. The sum of $p(n)/n$ over composite $n$ lying in the short interval $[x,\,x+L_C(x)]$, a question raised by Erdős and Graham, is studied. (i) The constant $c=8$ in the mean asymptotic is estimated \[ S(x)=\sum_{n 0$, the window sums $μ_C(x):=\sum_{x\le n\le x+L_C(x)}p(n)/n$ over composites have mean $4C$: $\frac{1}{X}\sum_{x\le X}μ_C(x)=4C+O_C(1/\log X)$, and second moment $\frac{1}{X}\sum_{x\le X}(μ_C(x)-4C)^2=O_C((\log X)^{-2})$. In particular $μ_C(x)=4C+o(1)$ for almost all $x$. (iii)Under a weak Cramér-type hypothesis on primes in intervals of length $(\log y)^{2+o(1)}$, the estimate $μ_C(x)=4C+O_C(1/\log x)$ holds uniformly in $x$, giving an affirmative answer to the Erdős--Graham question. Unconditionally, the uniform statement remains open; proving the uniform statement unconditionally would require resolving short-interval prime estimates at scale $(\log y)^2$.

Broadband Chiral Primordial Gravitational Waves from Constant-roll Inflation in Parity-violating Symmetric Teleparallel Gravity

We investigate primordial gravitational waves (GWs) generated during constant-roll inflation in a parity-violating extension of symmetric teleparallel gravity. The parity-violating interactions leave the background evolution and linear scalar perturbations unchanged, while inducing velocity birefringence in the tensor sector. Consequently, one of the two circular polarization states undergoes tachyonic amplification, producing a strongly blue and nearly fully chiral tensor spectrum from the cosmic microwave background (CMB) to interferometer scales. We identify viable constant-roll parameter regions consistent with current CMB constraints and determine the largest coupling strength compatible with both CMB B-mode measurements and the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) O1--O4a bound on the stochastic GW background. The predicted CMB B-mode spectra may be detectable by LiteBIRD, while the enhanced high-frequency signal could be accessible to the LISA--Taiji network and LVK O5 run. The model also predicts nonvanishing TB and EB correlations. These results highlight the potential of combining CMB and multi-band GW observations to test parity-violating gravity during inflation.

Many Representations as Sums of Three Prime Cubes

Let $F_k(n)$ be the number of unordered representations \[ n=p_1^k+p_2^k+\cdots +p_k^k \] by primes, with repetitions allowed. Erdős stated that $\limsup_{n\to\infty} F_3(n)=\infty$, but his proof appears not to have been published. A complete unconditional proof is given. The principal input is the classical Hecke equidistribution theorem for the CM Fermat cubic; the rest of the argument uses standard estimates for primes in arithmetic progressions and elementary counting. The argument used for \(k=3\) does not extend to the case \(k=4\). Nevertheless, by applying the Green--Tao--Ziegler theorem to the linear forms arising from an admissible binary quartic identity, \(\limsup_{n\to\infty}F_4(n)\ge2\) is shown.

NebulaVLA: A Dual-Frequency Vision-Language-Action Model With Guide Action for Robotic Manipulation

Real-world deployment of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models is often bottlenecked by efficiency-performance trade-offs, cross-embodiment generalization, and execution smoothness. We present NebulaVLA, an asynchronous dual-frequency architecture that decouples high-level semantic reasoning from low-level action control, optimizing computational resources and modularity. To bridge semantic gaps across heterogeneous robots, we introduce GESTURE-7, a unified language-grounded action representation. Furthermore, our Guide Action algorithm enforces kinematic continuity via mask-based smoothness constraints. Comprehensive evaluations demonstrate that NebulaVLA significantly outperforms synchronous baselines, achieving an 85.5\% average success rate on LIBERO-Plus and accelerating action generation by \textasciitilde 2.7$\times$. This asynchronous design enables highly efficient and responsive control for practical robotics.

Adaptive Heterogeneous Compression for Resource-Efficient Federated Knowledge Distillation

Federated learning (FL) enables privacy-preserving distributed model training but faces challenges from heterogeneous model architectures and limited communication resources at the network edge. Federated knowledge distillation (FedKD) alleviates model heterogeneity by combining prototype-wise parameter aggregation and knowledge transfer across heterogeneous models. However, transmitting gradients still introduces considerable communication overhead, while existing compression approaches typically apply a uniform strategy across clients and ignore their diverse model characteristics and resource capacities. To address this issue, we propose a heterogeneous compression framework for FedKD that enables each client to select a compression strategy from a candidate strategy set. We formulate the compression strategy selection problem as a non-stationary stochastic multi-armed bandit (MAB), where each arm corresponds to a compression strategy. An efficiency-aware reward is designed by jointly considering local optimization improvement, global knowledge alignment, and execution time. Based on this formulation, we develop an Adaptive heterogeneouS Compression algorithm for fEderated kNowledge Distillation (ASCEND), which employs an exponential moving average (EMA)-enhanced $ε$-greedy policy to balance exploration and exploitation. Experimental results on multiple datasets demonstrate that ASCEND effectively adapts to heterogeneous model and resource settings, reducing communication overhead and training time while maintaining competitive model accuracy.

Measures on General Codimensional Surfaces in Infinite Dimensions and Stokes-Type Theorems

In this paper, we give an explicit construction of surface measures on a class of surfaces with arbitrary, possibly infinite, codimension in $\ell^2$. These measures are constructed from local representations associated with a fixed Gaussian product measure. We then establish local and global Gauss--Green-type formulas, introduce a notion of top-degree differential form, and derive an associated Stokes-type identity. We also determine the orientation of the boundary induced by the orientation of the surface. Moreover, therelationship between $\mathcal F$-continuity and Borel measurability is examined, which reveals a phenomenon specific to the infinite-dimensional setting.

REATS: LLM Reasoning-based Ensemble Learning for Adaptive Time Series Forecasting

Due to the diversity of real-world time series, no single forecasting model consistently dominates across all samples. Ensemble learning addresses this by combining complementary model strengths, yet existing methods rely on fixed rules or black-box models based solely on numerical inputs, failing to leverage LLM reasoning for interpretable weighting decisions. We propose REATS, which leverages LLM reasoning capabilities as an intelligent ensemble router that jointly processes textual temporal pattern descriptions and numerical features to produce interpretable, sample-adaptive ensemble weights through chain-of-thought reasoning. To enable effective LLM-based ensembling, we study its key design choices and propose: (i) a structured input pipeline that transforms raw time series into hybrid textual--numerical representations with fixed token cost, enabling rule-based chain-of-thought construction without API dependency, augmented with retrieved similar-sample priors; (ii) a diverse multi-row weight supervision scheme coupled with a token-efficient percentage-table format that reduces numerical complexity and mitigates LLM hallucinations; and (iii) a two-stage fine-tuning framework combining SFT with GRPO, where a reciprocal reward mapping transforms the continuous unbounded MSE gap into bounded signals with amplified near-oracle sensitivity, addressing the uniform sensitivity and outlier-dominated advantage compression inherent in naive reward designs for regression-based GRPO. Experiments on eight benchmarks demonstrate that REATS outperforms competitive ensemble baselines while providing natural language explanations and demonstrating strong transfer learning and out-of-domain generalization to unseen candidate models.

OATS: Online Data Augmentation for Time Series Foundation Models

Time Series Foundation Models (TSFMs) are a powerful paradigm for time series analysis and are often enhanced by synthetic data augmentation to improve the training data quality. Existing augmentation methods, however, typically rely on heuristics and static paradigms. Motivated by dynamic data optimization, which shows that the contribution of samples varies across training stages, we propose OATS (Online Data Augmentation for Time Series Foundation Models), a principled strategy that generates synthetic data tailored to different training steps. OATS leverages valuable training samples as principled guiding signals and dynamically generates high-quality synthetic data conditioned on them. We further design a diffusion-based framework to produce realistic time series and introduce an explore-exploit mechanism to balance efficiency and effectiveness. Experiments on TSFMs demonstrate that OATS consistently outperforms regular training and yields substantial performance gains over static data augmentation baselines across six validation datasets and two TSFM architectures. UniPCB: A Generation-Assisted Vision-Based Measurement Framework for PCB Defect Inspection

Automated optical inspection (AOI) is a vision-based instrumentation process that detects and localizes physical defects on printed circuit boards (PCBs) from optically acquired images. Its reliability is often limited by scarce and class-imbalanced defect observations and by insufficient representation of small, low-contrast defects against dense circuit patterns. We propose UniPCB, a generation-assisted PCB inspection framework that combines controlled defect synthesis with task-specific detection. The generation branch derives heterogeneous edge, relative pseudo-depth, and text conditions from PCB images. A ScaleEncoder embeds the conditions at four U-Net resolutions, while a Condition Modulation block performs FiLM-style spatially adaptive fusion. The detection branch introduces an Inverted Residual Shift Attention block for joint global-local modeling and a Cross-level Complementary Fusion block for selective hierarchical feature integration. The generated images augment the detector training data and improve defect coverage without changing the online inspection path. Experiments using the corrected annotations of DsPCBSD+ yield an mAP@0.5 of 98.0% and an mAP@0.5:0.95 of 61.8%. Under the same generation-augmented training setting, these values exceed those of the RT-DETR baseline by 2.1 and 1.7 percentage points, respectively. The generation branch obtains an FID of 129.61 and an SSIM of 0.619. These results indicate the potential of structured synthetic data and PCB-oriented feature modeling for improving vision-based defect inspection. Code is available at https://github.com/House-yuyu/UniPCB.

Degradation-Guided Underwater Image Restoration with Task-Oriented Latent Control

Degradation information in underwater images plays a dual role: its spatial and spectral cues can guide adaptive restoration, while degradation-entangled features may be propagated without explicit regulation during decoding. Existing methods largely overlook this dual role, either underexploiting degradation cues or directly forwarding encoder features through skip connections. To address this issue, we propose PROTEUS, which couples degradation-guided feature adaptation with task?oriented latent control. PROTEUS tackles this problem from two complementary perspectives. At the feature level, the Guided Dynamic Feature Modulation Block exploits spatially varying degradation cues to adapt feature processing across network stages. At the representation level, the task-oriented latent controller learns a structured control code under discriminative regularisation and uses it for channel-wise modulation of skip features, without requiring the code to form a metrically cleaner embedding. Extensive experiments on five paired and four non-reference underwater benchmarks demonstrate that PROTEUS achieves highly competitive restoration performance, with a favourable balance between restoration quality and computational cost.

AdaDINO: Pair-Aware In-Backbone Adaptation of Frozen DINO for Efficient Remote Sensing Change Detection

Vision foundation models (VFMs) such as DINO are pretrained for single-image representation, whereas remote sensing change detection requires reasoning over a bi-temporal pair. Existing VFM-based methods usually encode the two images independently and compare them only afterward, leaving the VFM backbone unaware of cross-temporal relations. To bridge this mismatch, we present AdaDINO, a pair-aware in-backbone adaptation framework that equips a frozen DINO encoder with bi-temporal interaction for efficient change detection. Its core component, Change-aware Gated Local Adaptation (CGLA), couples the two streams after selected frozen blocks and injects a shared temporal residual into them with opposite signs, enhancing genuine change responses while preserving the pair midpoint. Batch-Shared Chunk Selection (BSCS) further reduces feed-forward network (FFN) computation by retaining a batch-shared subset of channel chunks that can be executed as a compact dense FFN. A CGLA-Prior-Guided Refinement (CPGR) decoder reuses encoder-side change responses for coarse-to-fine prediction. Experiments on four remote sensing change detection benchmarks show that AdaDINO achieves competitive or superior performance against VFM-based baselines, with the largest gain on the category-agnostic SYSU-CD dataset. With 62.5% of the FFN hidden width removed, AdaDINO still achieves an F1 score of 85.29% on SYSU-CD while delivering a 1.41$\times$ throughput speedup. The code will be released.

DARAD: Dual Adapters and Ranking-Aware Distillation for Continual Remote Sensing Image-Text Retrieval

With the rapid growth of Earth observation technologies, remote sensing archives are rapidly expanding, making remote sensing image-text retrieval (RS-ITR) increasingly important. However, continual RS-ITR remains challenging because scale variation and distribution shifts in RS aggravate cross-modal alignment space distortion, making it difficult for existing continual learning (CL) methods to support reliable continual retrieval. To address this challenge, we propose DARAD, a dual-adapter and ranking-aware distillation framework that preserves the historical cross-modal ranking structure while learning new visual and textual concepts from evolving archives. Specifically, the visual branch introduces a spatial fusion adapter, which integrates coarse regional cues and fine-grained patch cues to accommodate RS scale variation while anchoring visual updates to the pretrained alignment space. The textual branch employs multi-expert semantic routing, which separates shared textual semantics from semantically specialized residuals to absorb newly emerging descriptions while constraining global text embedding drift. Furthermore, bidirectional ranking distillation uses a frozen teacher model and historical anchors to preserve the historical cross-modal ranking structure, thereby mitigating alignment space distortion across continual stages. Experiments under a multi-stage continual retrieval protocol show that DARAD achieves superior performance over existing CL methods, improving adaptation to newly arrived data while maintaining effectiveness on historical data.

Faddeev equations for the $J/ψ\,NN$ and $ϕ\,NN$ three-body systems in momentum space

We construct Faddeev equations for the $J/ψ\,NN$ and $ϕ\,NN$ three-body systems in momentum space. The two-body subsystem $t$-matrix is obtained by solving the Lippmann-Schwinger equations. The $NN$ interactions are constructed using the Malfliet-Tjon potential. The $J/ψ\,N$ interaction potentials in the ${}^4S_{3/2}$ and ${}^2S_{1/2}$ channels are taken from HAL QCD. The $ϕ\,N$ interaction potential in the ${}^4S_{3/2}$ channel is also taken from HAL QCD. The ${}^2S_{1/2}$ $ϕN$ interaction is obtained from the combination of the $ϕp$ correlation function analysis and the HAL QCD results, as well as from the assumption that the spin-spin parts of the $ϕN$ and $J/ψN$ interactions are inversely proportional to the respective hadron masses. The Faddeev equations are solved to find bound states in the $J/ψ\,NN$ and $ϕ\,NN$ three-body systems. The numerical results suggest that there exist bound states in the $ϕ\,NN$ three-body system, while there is no bound state in the $J/ψ\,NN$ system.

SpikeRestormer: Towards Energy-Efficient All-in-One Image Restoration via Unified Event Reasoning

ANN-based All-in-One image restoration (AiOIR) unifies diverse degradation handling but incurs high computational costs, limiting its real-time deployment. While Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) offer a low-power alternative, applying them to static images remains challenging. This difficulty arises because explicit event signals are absent, and degradation cues are heavily entangled with scene structures, hindering the learning of reliable restoration-oriented spike events. To address these issues, we propose SpikeRestormer, an energy-efficient SNN for AiOIR that performs event reasoning over internally generated spike cues. Specifically, we propose a degradation-event perception process to extract spike-based degradation events through Subtractive Degradation Event Attention (SDEA). Moreover, we introduce Hierarchical Bayesian Skip Masking (HBSM) and Additive Restoration Event Attention (AREA) processes for event-reliability inference and restoration-event construction, respectively. By integrating these complementary processes, SpikeRestormer formulates restoration as a unified process of degradation-event perception, degradation-event reliability inference, and restoration-event construction, liberating the potential of SNNs for energy-efficient AiOIR. Extensive experiments show that SpikeRestormer delivers competitive performance against ANN-based methods and establishes new state-of-the-art results among SNN-based methods with significantly lower energy consumption.
