The quantum double of the restricted quantum group $\mathbf{\overline{u}}_q(\mathfrak{sl_2})$

In this paper, we construct the quantum double $D(\mathbf{\overline{u}}_q(\mathfrak{sl_2}))$ of the restricted quantum group $\mathbf{\overline{u}}_q(\mathfrak{sl_2})$. We describe the algebraic structure of $D(\mathbf{\overline{u}}_q(\mathfrak{sl_2}))$ by generators and relations. Moreover, we give the comultiplication $\Delta$, the counit $\varepsilon$ and the antipode $S$, respectively. Finally, we classify all irreducible representations of $D(\mathbf{\overline{u}}_q(\mathfrak{sl_2}))$ when $p=2$.

ColorFM: An Optimization-to-Learning Framework for Color Transfer via Flow Matching

Color transfer aims to align the color distribution of a source image with that of a reference image while preserving structural and semantic consistency. However, existing methods often suffer from inaccurate global mapping, semantic misalignment, and visual artifacts. To address these issues, we propose ColorFM, an optimization-to-learning framework. ColorFM connects online optimization to offline inference by reformulating color transfer as the transport of pixel distributions along velocity fields via Flow Matching. Specifically, we introduce ColorFM-O, an instance-specific optimization scheme that fits the velocity field through hierarchical color coupling guided by semantic priors. By numerically integrating the induced flow trajectories, ColorFM-O produces precise and semantically consistent color transfer results, while generating high-quality paired data as pseudo-supervision. Building upon this, we design ColorFM-L, an efficient feed-forward model trained on the generated pairs. Through implicit state modeling, ColorFM-L extracts deep semantic features to predict flow parameters for bidirectional linearized transport, ensuring accurate color transfer. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ColorFM-L outperforms state-of-the-art methods in visual quality, structural fidelity, and semantic consistency, successfully combining the accuracy of optimization with the speed of feed-forward inference.

Anchoring on Reality: Breaking the Pseudo-Target Ceiling in Makeup Transfer

Makeup transfer applies a reference cosmetic style to a source face while preserving its identity and geometry. However, this task is severely hindered by the lack of real paired training data. Current methods rely on either weak priors or synthetic pseudo-targets from large-scale editing models. These paradigms provide suboptimal guidance, often leading to degraded fine-grained details, synthetic artifacts, and identity drift. To this end, we propose Anchoring on Reality Makeup Transfer (ART), a two-stage framework with a reality-anchored refinement cycle. In Stage I, the model is initialized with pseudo-targets to establish basic semantic alignment and global makeup placement. Crucially, Stage II shifts supervision from pseudo-targets to the real reference, reconstructing it from its bare-skin counterpart through a differentiable cycle that penalizes any omitted detail and overrides synthetic artifacts. Furthermore, we introduce MakeupFaces2K (MF2K), the first 2K-resolution in-the-wild makeup portrait dataset comprising 8,573 images. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves superior makeup fidelity, strong background stability, and robust identity preservation, especially for complex makeup styles.

AnyBokeh: Physics-Guided Any-to-Any Bokeh Editing with Optical Fingerprint Transfer

Depth-of-field control is a fundamental tool in photography, yet post-capture bokeh editing from a single image remains challenging. A practical editor should handle images captured under arbitrary focus and aperture settings. Existing methods typically assume an all-in-focus input, or first recover an all-in-focus image before rendering new bokeh. Such pipelines can discard useful blur cues from the source image and propagate reconstruction artifacts into the final edit. We introduce AnyBokeh, a physics-guided framework for any-to-any bokeh editing. Instead of treating source blur merely as a degradation to be removed, AnyBokeh estimates the source blur state with a signed circle-of-confusion map and a disparity map. By modeling the linear relation between signed circle of confusion and disparity difference, AnyBokeh estimates a source-specific optical fingerprint and transfers the source optical characteristics to the desired focus and aperture setting. A generative editor conditioned on both source and target circle-of-confusion maps then performs relative blur synthesis, enabling spatially adaptive deblurring, preservation, and defocus rendering. To support physically supervised learning, we further construct a high-fidelity synthetic dataset with accurate depth, focus distance, and full EXIF metadata. Experiments on real-world benchmarks show that AnyBokeh achieves faithful and controllable editing across any-to-any bokeh editing, all-in-focus-to-bokeh rendering, and defocus deblurring, while avoiding all-in-focus reconstruction and test-time bokeh-level calibration commonly required by existing approaches. The code and dataset will be available at https://github.com/itsmag11/AnyBokeh.

Triple-Phase Sequential Fusion Network for Hepatobiliary Phase Liver MRI Synthesis

Gadoxetate disodium-enhanced MRI is essential for the detection and characterization of hepatocellular carcinoma. However, acquisition of the hepatobiliary phase (HBP) requires a prolonged post-contrast delay, which reduces workflow efficiency and increases the risk of motion artifacts. In this study, we propose a Triple-Phase Sequential Fusion Network (TriPF-Net) to synthesize HBP images by leveraging the sequential information from pre-HBP sequences: while T1-weighted imaging serves as the indispensable baseline, the model adaptively integrates arterial-phase (AP) and venous-phase (VP) features when available. By modeling the tissue-specific contrast uptake and excretion dynamics across these three phases, TriPF-Net ensures robust HBP synthesis even under the stochastic absence of one or both dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences. The framework comprises an Enhanced Region-Guided Encoder and a Dynamic Feature Unification Module, optimized with a Region-Guided Sequential Fusion Loss to maintain physiological consistency. In addition, clinical variables, including age, sex, total bilirubin, and albumin, are incorporated to enhance physiological consistency. Compared with conventional methods, TriPF-Net achieved superior performance on datasets from two centers. On the internal dataset, the model achieved an MAE of 10.65, a PSNR of 23.27, and an SSIM of 0.76. On the external validation dataset, the corresponding values were 12.41, 23.11, and 0.78, respectively. This flexible solution enhances clinical workflow and lesion depiction, potentially eliminating the need for delayed HBP acquisition in HCC imaging.

From Prompt Optimization to Multi-Dimensional Credibility Evaluation: Enhancing Trustworthiness of Chinese LLM-Generated Liver MRI Reports -- with Preliminary Extension to Lung Cancer

Large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated promising performance in generating diagnostic conclusions from imaging findings, thereby supporting radiology reporting, trainee education, and quality control. However, systematic guidance on how to optimize prompt design across different clinical contexts remains underexplored. Moreover, a comprehensive and standardized framework for assessing the trustworthiness of LLM-generated radiology reports is yet to be established. This study aims to enhance the trustworthiness of LLM-generated liver MRI reports by introducing a Multi-Dimensional Credibility Assessment (MDCA) framework and providing guidance on institution-specific prompt optimization. The proposed framework is applied to evaluate and compare the performance of several advanced LLMs, including Kimi-K2-Instruct-0905, Qwen3-235B-A22B-Instruct-2507, DeepSeek-V3, and ByteDance-Seed-OSS-36B-Instruct, using the SiliconFlow platform.

2D Gaussian Splatting with Semantic Alignment for Image Inpainting

Gaussian Splatting (GS), a recent technique for converting discrete points into continuous spatial representations, has shown promising results in 3D scene modeling and 2D image super-resolution. In this paper, we explore its untapped potential for image inpainting, which demands both locally coherent pixel synthesis and globally consistent semantic restoration. We propose the first image inpainting framework based on 2D Gaussian Splatting, which encodes incomplete images into a continuous field of 2D Gaussian splat coefficients and reconstructs the final image via a differentiable rasterization process. The continuous rendering paradigm of GS inherently promotes pixel-level coherence in the inpainted results. To improve efficiency and scalability, we introduce a patch-wise rasterization strategy that reduces memory overhead and accelerates inference. For global semantic consistency, we incorporate features from a pretrained DINO model. We observe that DINO's global features are naturally robust to small missing regions and can be effectively adapted to guide semantic alignment in large-mask scenarios, ensuring that the inpainted content remains contextually consistent with the surrounding scene. Extensive experiments on standard benchmarks demonstrate that our method achieves competitive performance in both quantitative metrics and perceptual quality, establishing a new direction for applying Gaussian Splatting to 2D image processing.

Discovery of 10,059 new three-dimensional periodic orbits of general three-body problem

A very few three-dimensional (3D) periodic orbits of general three-body problem (with three finite masses) have been discovered since Newton mentioned it in 1680s. Using a high-accuracy numerical strategy we discovered 10,059 three-dimensional periodic orbits of the three-body problem in the cases of $m_{1}=m_{2}=1$ and $m_{3}=0.1n$ where $1\leq n\leq 20$ is an integer, among which 1,996 (about 20\%) are linearly stable. Note that our approach is valid for arbitrary mass $m_{3}$ so that in theory we can gain an arbitrarily large amount of 3D periodic orbits of the three-body problem. In the case of three equal masses, we discovered twenty-one 3D ``choerographical'' periodic orbits whose three bodies move periodically in a single closed orbit. It is very interesting that, in the case of two equal masses, we discovered 273 three-dimensional periodic orbits with the two bodies ($m_{1}=m_{2}=1$) moving along a single closed orbit and the third ($m_{3}\neq 1$) along a different one: we name them ``piano-trio'' orbits, like a trio for two violins and one piano. To the best of our knowledge, all of these 3D periodic orbits have never been reported, indicating the novelty of this work. The large amount of these new 3D periodic orbits are helpful for us to have better understandings about chaotic properties of the famous three-body problem, which ``are, so to say, the only opening through which we can try to penetrate in a place which, up to now, was supposed to be inaccessible'', as pointed out by Poincar\'e, the founder of chaos theory.

Enhanced Generative Structure Prior for Chinese Text Image Super-resolution

Faithful text image super-resolution (SR) is challenging because each character has a unique structure and usually exhibits diverse font styles and layouts. While existing methods primarily focus on English text, less attention has been paid to more complex scripts like Chinese. In this paper, we introduce a high-quality text image SR framework designed to restore the precise strokes of low-resolution (LR) Chinese characters. Unlike methods that rely on character recognition priors to regularize the SR task, we propose a novel structure prior that offers structure-level guidance to enhance visual quality. Our framework incorporates this structure prior within a StyleGAN model, leveraging its generative capabilities for restoration. To maintain the integrity of character structures while accommodating various font styles and layouts, we implement a codebook-based mechanism that restricts the generative space of StyleGAN. Each code in the codebook represents the structure of a specific character, while the vector $w$ in StyleGAN controls the character's style, including typeface, orientation, and location. Through the collaborative interaction between the codebook and style, we generate a high-resolution structure prior that aligns with LR characters both spatially and structurally. Experiments demonstrate that this structure prior provides robust, character-specific guidance, enabling the accurate restoration of clear strokes in degraded characters, even for real-world LR Chinese text with irregular layouts. RefSTAR: Blind Facial Image Restoration with Reference Selection, Transfer, and Reconstruction

Blind facial image restoration is highly challenging due to unknown complex degradations and the sensitivity of humans to faces. Although existing methods introduce auxiliary information from generative priors or high-quality reference images, they still struggle with identity preservation problems, mainly due to improper feature introduction on detailed textures. In this paper, we focus on effectively incorporating appropriate features from high-quality reference images, presenting a novel blind facial image restoration method that considers reference selection, transfer, and reconstruction (RefSTAR). In terms of selection, we construct a reference selection (RefSel) module. For training the RefSel module, we construct a RefSel-HQ dataset through a mask generation pipeline, which contains annotating masks for 10,000 ground truth-reference pairs. As for the transfer, due to the trivial solution in vanilla cross-attention operations, a feature fusion paradigm is designed to force the features from the reference to be integrated. Finally, we propose a reference image reconstruction mechanism that further ensures the presence of reference image features in the output image. The cycle consistency loss is also redesigned in conjunction with the mask. Extensive experiments on various backbone models demonstrate superior performance, showing better identity preservation ability and reference feature transfer quality. Source code, dataset, and pre-trained models are available at https://github.com/yinzhicun/RefSTAR.

CoachGPT: A Scaffolding-based Academic Writing Assistant

Academic writing skills are crucial for students' success, but can feel overwhelming without proper guidance and practice, particularly when writing in a second language. Traditionally, students ask instructors or search dictionaries, which are not universally accessible. Early writing assistants emerged as rule-based systems that focused on detecting misspellings, subject-verb disagreements, and basic punctuation errors; however, they are inaccurate and lack contextual understanding. Machine learning-based assistants demonstrate a strong ability for language understanding but are expensive to train. Large language models (LLMs) have shown remarkable capabilities in generating responses in natural languages based on given prompts. Still, they have a fundamental limitation in education: they generate essays without teaching, which can have detrimental effects on learning when misused. To address this limitation, we develop CoachGPT, which leverages large language models (LLMs) to assist individuals with limited educational resources and those who prefer self-paced learning in academic writing. CoachGPT is an AI agent-based web application that (1) takes instructions from experienced educators, (2) converts instructions into sub-tasks, and (3) provides real-time feedback and suggestions using large language models. This unique scaffolding structure makes CoachGPT unique among existing writing assistants. Compared to existing writing assistants, CoachGPT provides a more immersive writing experience with personalized feedback and guidance. Our user studies prove the usefulness of CoachGPT and the potential of large language models for academic writing.

AnimateAnywhere: Rouse the Background in Human Image Animation

Human image animation aims to generate human videos of given characters and backgrounds that adhere to the desired pose sequence. However, existing methods focus more on human actions while neglecting the generation of background, which typically leads to static results or inharmonious movements. The community has explored camera pose-guided animation tasks, yet preparing the camera trajectory is impractical for most entertainment applications and ordinary users. As a remedy, we present an AnimateAnywhere framework, rousing the background in human image animation without requirements on camera trajectories. In particular, based on our key insight that the movement of the human body often reflects the motion of the background, we introduce a background motion learner (BML) to learn background motions from human pose sequences. To encourage the model to learn more accurate cross-frame correspondences, we further deploy an epipolar constraint on the 3D attention map. Specifically, the mask used to suppress geometrically unreasonable attention is carefully constructed by combining an epipolar mask and the current 3D attention map. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our AnimateAnywhere effectively learns the background motion from human pose sequences, achieving state-of-the-art performance in generating human animation results with vivid and realistic backgrounds. The source code and model will be available at https://github.com/liuxiaoyu1104/AnimateAnywhere.

Beyond Static Scenes: Camera-controllable Background Generation for Human Motion

In this paper, we investigate the generation of new video backgrounds given a human foreground video, a camera pose, and a reference scene image. This task presents three key challenges. First, the generated background should precisely follow the camera movements corresponding to the human foreground. Second, as the camera shifts in different directions, newly revealed content should appear seamless and natural. Third, objects within the video frame should maintain consistent textures as the camera moves to ensure visual coherence. To address these challenges, we propose DynaScene, a new framework that uses camera poses extracted from the original video as an explicit control to drive background motion. Specifically, we design a multi-task learning paradigm that incorporates auxiliary tasks, namely background outpainting and scene variation, to enhance the realism of the generated backgrounds. Given the scarcity of suitable data, we constructed a large-scale, high-quality dataset tailored for this task, comprising video foregrounds, reference scene images, and corresponding camera poses. This dataset contains 200K video clips, ten times larger than existing real-world human video datasets, providing a significantly richer and more diverse training resource. Omegance: A Single Parameter for Various Granularities in Diffusion-Based Synthesis

In this work, we show that we only need a single parameter $\omega$ to effectively control granularity in diffusion-based synthesis. This parameter is incorporated during the denoising steps of the diffusion model's reverse process. This simple approach does not require model retraining or architectural modifications and incurs negligible computational overhead, yet enables precise control over the level of details in the generated outputs. Moreover, spatial masks or denoising schedules with varying $\omega$ values can be applied to achieve region-specific or timestep-specific granularity control. External control signals or reference images can guide the creation of precise $\omega$ masks, allowing targeted granularity adjustments. Despite its simplicity, the method demonstrates impressive performance across various image and video synthesis tasks and is adaptable to advanced diffusion models. The code is available at https://github.com/itsmag11/Omegance.

Inherently Interpretable Tree Ensemble Learning

Tree ensemble models like random forests and gradient boosting machines are widely used in machine learning due to their excellent predictive performance. However, a high-performance ensemble consisting of a large number of decision trees lacks sufficient transparency and explainability. In this paper, we demonstrate that when shallow decision trees are used as base learners, the ensemble learning algorithms can not only become inherently interpretable subject to an equivalent representation as the generalized additive models but also sometimes lead to better generalization performance. First, an interpretation algorithm is developed that converts the tree ensemble into the functional ANOVA representation with inherent interpretability. Second, two strategies are proposed to further enhance the model interpretability, i.e., by adding constraints in the model training stage and post-hoc effect pruning. Experiments on simulations and real-world datasets show that our proposed methods offer a better trade-off between model interpretation and predictive performance, compared with its counterpart benchmarks.

Combining Generative and Geometry Priors for Wide-Angle Portrait Correction

Wide-angle lens distortion in portrait photography presents a significant challenge for capturing photo-realistic and aesthetically pleasing images. Such distortions are especially noticeable in facial regions. In this work, we propose encapsulating the generative face prior as a guided natural manifold to facilitate the correction of facial regions. Moreover, a notable central symmetry relationship exists in the non-face background, yet it has not been explored in the correction process. This geometry prior motivates us to introduce a novel constraint to explicitly enforce symmetry throughout the correction process, thereby contributing to a more visually appealing and natural correction in the non-face region. Experiments demonstrate that our approach outperforms previous methods by a large margin, excelling not only in quantitative measures such as line straightness and shape consistency metrics but also in terms of perceptual visual quality. AITTI: Learning Adaptive Inclusive Token for Text-to-Image Generation

Despite the high-quality results of text-to-image generation, stereotypical biases have been spotted in their generated contents, compromising the fairness of generative models. In this work, we propose to learn adaptive inclusive tokens to shift the attribute distribution of the final generative outputs. Unlike existing de-biasing approaches, our method requires neither explicit attribute specification nor prior knowledge of the bias distribution. Specifically, the core of our method is a lightweight adaptive mapping network, which can customize the inclusive tokens for the concepts to be de-biased, making the tokens generalizable to unseen concepts regardless of their original bias distributions. This is achieved by tuning the adaptive mapping network with a handful of balanced and inclusive samples using an anchor loss. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms previous bias mitigation methods without attribute specification while preserving the alignment between generative results and text descriptions. Moreover, our method achieves comparable performance to models that require specific attributes or editing directions for generation. Extensive experiments showcase the effectiveness of our adaptive inclusive tokens in mitigating stereotypical bias in text-to-image generation. The code will be available at https://github.com/itsmag11/AITTI.
