CustomDance: Customized 3D Dance Generation with Coarse-to-Fine Human-Centered Interactive Control

With the rise of AI-generated content (AIGC) and advanced techniques for 3D human representation, the task of generating 3D dance movements has become an exciting area of research. Despite significant advancements, current methods often fail to provide comprehensive and distinct control over various multimodal inputs from users, such as music or specific descriptions of desired movements. As a result, the generated motions may be statistically plausible and technically correct, but they often lack depth, expressiveness, and alignment with the user's creative vision. To address this issue, we present CustomDance, a coarse-to-fine interactive system designed for customized 3D dance generation. Inspired by the workflows of expert choreographers, CustomDance introduces a novel paradigm to AI-assisted choreography through three interconnected stages. First, a multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM) analyzes the music and a high-level text prompt to identify key temporal anchors and creative cues for the piece. Next, for each anchor, a multimodal retriever suggests high-quality motion clips from a dance library based on local music and text, empowering the user with concrete and predictable options. Finally, a custom music-conditioned diffusion in-painter seamlessly connects the selected phrases, allowing for iterative, user-guided refinement of the final composition, supported by visualizations of motion dynamics. Our evaluations demonstrate that CustomDance not only highlights the significant creative utility and empowering potential of our AI-assisted choreography paradigm, but also outperforms competitive baselines across quantitative and qualitative comparisons. Learning Manifolds in High-D Point Embedding for Anisotropic Surface Approximation from Unstructured Point Clouds

Dense 3D sensors in various real-world fields produce point clouds that are geometrically redundant for real-time processing. In this paper, we propose an efficient and scalable learning-based anisotropic surface approximation framework, HD-PEA, that operates directly on unstructured point clouds, integrating anisotropic optimization into reconstruction to produce compact, geometry-aligned surface representations with higher fidelity, fewer elements, and improved numerical stability compared to isotropic and adaptive meshes. Firstly, we develop a novel learning-based high-dimensional (high-d) Euclidean point embedding method to map the input point clouds into a high-d manifold embedding space. For handling large-scale point clouds without retraining and fine-tuning, a patch-based meta-embedding scheme is designed during the inference stage. Then, we develop a new tangent subspace estimation for the high-d embedding manifold approximation and anisotropic manifold reconstruction in high-d space. The main contribution of this work is to propose a scalable deep learning framework and a variety of datasets for constructing a high-d Euclidean point embedding space aimed to 3D anisotropic surface mesh approximation and Riemannian curvature tensor estimation from point clouds. We extensively evaluate our method against state-of-the-art surface reconstruction approaches using several datasets, such as Thingi10K dataset, AIM@SHAPE and Stanford 3D Scanning Repository, ScanNet dataset, and further demonstrate its generalization and usability on diverse unseen shapes and applications from these datasets.

MVFusion-GS: Motion-Variance Guided Temporal Attention for High-Quality Dynamic Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables real-time novel view synthesis for static scenes. Extending it to dynamic scenes via deformation fields has recently attracted significant attention, particularly for dynamic scene reconstructionband distractor-free. However, existing deformation networks lack explicit motion awareness: they neither capture long-term motion intensity nor exploit short-term temporal coherence, leading to inaccurate foreground deformation and pseudo-static residuals in the background. We present MVFusion-GS, a method that enhances deformation networks with two complementary motion-aware mechanisms. The Motion-Variance Guided Refinement aggregates per-Gaussian deformation statistics across time to estimate motion variance and uses it to guide dynamic-static separation during deformation prediction. The MotionFormer Temporal Attention module applies Transformer self-attention over neighboring timesteps to model local motion dependencies and improve temporal consistency. Extensive experiments on both dynamic scene reconstruction and distractor-free reconstruction benchmarks demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, showing that explicit motion awareness improves both foreground motion modeling and static background reconstruction.

DJM: Compact Base Meshes for Displacement Mapping using Triangle Jacobians

Representing complex geometry as a displacement function defined over a coarse base mesh enables compact storage and accelerated rendering. The core challenge in converting detailed triangle meshes into this representation is computing base meshes that have as few triangles as possible, while also supporting displacement functions that accurately approximate the input. Accurate approximation requires the supported displacement functions to bijectively map the input surface onto the base with low parametric distortion. We observe that this distortion can be measured by evaluating the pointwise Jacobian of the displacement functions. Our new DJM (Displacement Jacobian Metric)-based base-mesh construction method uses the Jacobian of the displacement functions to guide base mesh computation, enabling us to outperform prior approaches in terms of accuracy to size trade-off. We achieve this goal by proposing a variant of the QEM-based simplification scheme that constrains the displacement mapping between the input and the base to be bijective and low distortion (defined as satisfying a lower bound on the mapping Jacobian). When evaluating and encoding the displacement maps, we avoid unreliable ray-mesh intersections by explicitly storing the mapping between the input mesh and the base throughout the construction process, and use this mapping within a robust inverse barycentric displacement solver to obtain dense base-to-mesh correspondences to assist all computations. We demonstrate DJM to outperform alternative schemes in terms of reconstruction accuracy to size trade-off, and demonstrate its robustness and usability for micromesh-based rendering and neural encoding.

SuperVoxelGPT: Adaptive and Ordered 3D Tokenization for Autoregressive Shape Generation

Autoregressive multimodal large language models (MLLMs) enable 3D generation but struggle to scale to high-resolution shapes due to inadequate 3D tokenizations. Compact set-based representations discard deterministic spatial ordering, leading to ambiguous sequence prediction, while uniform or octree-based voxel grids preserve ordering at the cost of severe redundancy and excessively long sequences. This structural trade-off limits stable and efficient autoregressive 3D generation. We present SuperVoxelGPT, a representation-first framework that resolves this tension through adaptive and deterministically ordered supervoxel tokenization. Given a prompt, we first predict a coarse geometric saliency distribution and construct a shape-adaptive supervoxel partition using saliency-guided centroidal Voronoi tessellation, allocating fine-grained cells to complex regions and larger cells to smooth regions. Conditioned on this prompt and ordered supervoxel layout, we introduce a SuperVoxelVAE and fine-tune a pretrained MLLM to autoregressively generate supervoxel tokens. Experiments using Trellis-500K data show that SuperVoxelGPT reduces token sequence length to 12.8% of uniform voxel tokenization while achieving state-of-the-art generation quality and an average 10x speedup over prior methods.

VoroUDF: Meshing Unsigned Distance Fields with Voronoi Optimization

We present VoroUDF, an algorithm for reconstructing high-quality triangle meshes from Unsigned Distance Fields (UDFs). Our algorithm supports non-manifold geometry, sharp features, and open boundaries, without relying on error-prone inside/outside estimation, restrictive look-up tables nor topologically noisy optimization. Our Voronoi-based formulation combines a L_1 tangent minimization with feature-aware repulsion to robustly recover complex surface topology. It achieves significantly improved topological consistency and geometric fidelity compared to existing methods, while producing lightweight meshes suitable for downstream real-time and interactive applications.

tritonBLAS: Triton-based Analytical Approach for GEMM Kernel Parameter Selection

We present tritonBLAS, a fast and deterministic analytical model that uses architectural parameters like the cache hierarchy, and relative code and data placement to generate performant GPU GEMM kernels. tritonBLAS explicitly models the relationship between architectural topology, matrix shapes, and algorithmic blocking behavior to predict near-optimal configurations without runtime autotuning. Based on this model, we developed and implemented a lightweight GEMM framework entirely within Triton. We evaluate the performance of tritonBLAS across a diverse set of GEMM problem sizes on modern GPUs. tritonBLAS achieves over 95% of the performance of autotuning solutions, while reducing autotuning time to zero. This makes tritonBLAS a practical drop-in replacement for empirical tuning in production HPC and ML workloads.

MATStruct: High-Quality Medial Mesh Computation via Structure-aware Variational Optimization

We propose a novel optimization framework for computing the medial axis transform that simultaneously preserves the medial structure and ensures high medial mesh quality. The medial structure, consisting of interconnected sheets, seams, and junctions, provides a natural volumetric decomposition of a 3D shape. Our method introduces a structure-aware, particle-based optimization pipeline guided by the restricted power diagram (RPD), which partitions the input volume into convex cells whose dual encodes the connectivity of the medial mesh. Structure-awareness is enforced through a spherical quadratic error metric (SQEM) projection that constrains the movement of medial spheres, while a Gaussian kernel energy encourages an even spatial distribution. Compared to feature-preserving methods such as MATFP and MATTopo, our approach produces cleaner and more accurate medial structures with significantly improved mesh quality. In contrast to voxel-based, point-cloud-based, and variational methods, our framework is the first to integrate structural awareness into the optimization process, yielding medial meshes with superior geometric fidelity, topological correctness, and explicit structural decomposition.

Radar and Event Camera Fusion for Agile Robot Ego-Motion Estimation

Achieving reliable ego motion estimation for agile robots, e.g., aerobatic aircraft, remains challenging because most robot sensors fail to respond timely and clearly to highly dynamic robot motions, often resulting in measurement blurring, distortion, and delays. In this paper, we propose an IMU-free and feature-association-free framework to achieve aggressive ego-motion velocity estimation of a robot platform in highly dynamic scenarios by combining two types of exteroceptive sensors, an event camera and a millimeter wave radar, First, we used instantaneous raw events and Doppler measurements to derive rotational and translational velocities directly. Without a sophisticated association process between measurement frames, the proposed method is more robust in texture-less and structureless environments and is more computationally efficient for edge computing devices. Then, in the back-end, we propose a continuous-time state-space model to fuse the hybrid time-based and event-based measurements to estimate the ego-motion velocity in a fixed-lagged smoother fashion. In the end, we validate our velometer framework extensively in self-collected experiment datasets. The results indicate that our IMU-free and association-free ego motion estimation framework can achieve reliable and efficient velocity output in challenging environments. Aerial Path Online Planning for Urban Scene Updation

We present the first scene-update aerial path planning algorithm specifically designed for detecting and updating change areas in urban environments. While existing methods for large-scale 3D urban scene reconstruction focus on achieving high accuracy and completeness, they are inefficient for scenarios requiring periodic updates, as they often re-explore and reconstruct entire scenes, wasting significant time and resources on unchanged areas. To address this limitation, our method leverages prior reconstructions and change probability statistics to guide UAVs in detecting and focusing on areas likely to have changed. Our approach introduces a novel changeability heuristic to evaluate the likelihood of changes, driving the planning of two flight paths: a prior path informed by static priors and a dynamic real-time path that adapts to newly detected changes. The framework integrates surface sampling and candidate view generation strategies, ensuring efficient coverage of change areas with minimal redundancy. Extensive experiments on real-world urban datasets demonstrate that our method significantly reduces flight time and computational overhead, while maintaining high-quality updates comparable to full-scene re-exploration and reconstruction. These contributions pave the way for efficient, scalable, and adaptive UAV-based scene updates in complex urban environments.

CADDreamer: CAD Object Generation from Single-view Images

Diffusion-based 3D generation has made remarkable progress in recent years. However, existing 3D generative models often produce overly dense and unstructured meshes, which stand in stark contrast to the compact, structured, and sharply-edged Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models crafted by human designers. To address this gap, we introduce CADDreamer, a novel approach for generating boundary representations (B-rep) of CAD objects from a single image. CADDreamer employs a primitive-aware multi-view diffusion model that captures both local geometric details and high-level structural semantics during the generation process. By encoding primitive semantics into the color domain, the method leverages the strong priors of pre-trained diffusion models to align with well-defined primitives. This enables the inference of multi-view normal maps and semantic maps from a single image, facilitating the reconstruction of a mesh with primitive labels. Furthermore, we introduce geometric optimization techniques and topology-preserving extraction methods to mitigate noise and distortion in the generated primitives. These enhancements result in a complete and seamless B-rep of the CAD model. Experimental results demonstrate that our method effectively recovers high-quality CAD objects from single-view images. Compared to existing 3D generation techniques, the B-rep models produced by CADDreamer are compact in representation, clear in structure, sharp in edges, and watertight in topology.

WonderHuman: Hallucinating Unseen Parts in Dynamic 3D Human Reconstruction

In this paper, we present WonderHuman to reconstruct dynamic human avatars from a monocular video for high-fidelity novel view synthesis. Previous dynamic human avatar reconstruction methods typically require the input video to have full coverage of the observed human body. However, in daily practice, one typically has access to limited viewpoints, such as monocular front-view videos, making it a cumbersome task for previous methods to reconstruct the unseen parts of the human avatar. To tackle the issue, we present WonderHuman, which leverages 2D generative diffusion model priors to achieve high-quality, photorealistic reconstructions of dynamic human avatars from monocular videos, including accurate rendering of unseen body parts. Our approach introduces a Dual-Space Optimization technique, applying Score Distillation Sampling (SDS) in both canonical and observation spaces to ensure visual consistency and enhance realism in dynamic human reconstruction. Additionally, we present a View Selection strategy and Pose Feature Injection to enforce the consistency between SDS predictions and observed data, ensuring pose-dependent effects and higher fidelity in the reconstructed avatar. In the experiments, our method achieves SOTA performance in producing photorealistic renderings from the given monocular video, particularly for those challenging unseen parts. RMAvatar: Photorealistic Human Avatar Reconstruction from Monocular Video Based on Rectified Mesh-embedded Gaussians

We introduce RMAvatar, a novel human avatar representation with Gaussian splatting embedded on mesh to learn clothed avatar from a monocular video. We utilize the explicit mesh geometry to represent motion and shape of a virtual human and implicit appearance rendering with Gaussian Splatting. Our method consists of two main modules: Gaussian initialization module and Gaussian rectification module. We embed Gaussians into triangular faces and control their motion through the mesh, which ensures low-frequency motion and surface deformation of the avatar. Due to the limitations of LBS formula, the human skeleton is hard to control complex non-rigid transformations. We then design a pose-related Gaussian rectification module to learn fine-detailed non-rigid deformations, further improving the realism and expressiveness of the avatar. We conduct extensive experiments on public datasets, RMAvatar shows state-of-the-art performance on both rendering quality and quantitative evaluations. TexHOI: Reconstructing Textures of 3D Unknown Objects in Monocular Hand-Object Interaction Scenes

Reconstructing 3D models of dynamic, real-world objects with high-fidelity textures from monocular frame sequences has been a challenging problem in recent years. This difficulty stems from factors such as shadows, indirect illumination, and inaccurate object-pose estimations due to occluding hand-object interactions. To address these challenges, we propose a novel approach that predicts the hand's impact on environmental visibility and indirect illumination on the object's surface albedo. Our method first learns the geometry and low-fidelity texture of the object, hand, and background through composite rendering of radiance fields. Simultaneously, we optimize the hand and object poses to achieve accurate object-pose estimations. We then refine physics-based rendering parameters - including roughness, specularity, albedo, hand visibility, skin color reflections, and environmental illumination - to produce precise albedo, and accurate hand illumination and shadow regions. Our approach surpasses state-of-the-art methods in texture reconstruction and, to the best of our knowledge, is the first to account for hand-object interactions in object texture reconstruction.

Joint Co-Speech Gesture and Expressive Talking Face Generation using Diffusion with Adapters

Recent advances in co-speech gesture and talking head generation have been impressive, yet most methods focus on only one of the two tasks. Those that attempt to generate both often rely on separate models or network modules, increasing training complexity and ignoring the inherent relationship between face and body movements. To address the challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel model architecture that jointly generates face and body motions within a single network. This approach leverages shared weights between modalities, facilitated by adapters that enable adaptation to a common latent space. Our experiments demonstrate that the proposed framework not only maintains state-of-the-art co-speech gesture and talking head generation performance but also significantly reduces the number of parameters required.

NASM: Neural Anisotropic Surface Meshing

This paper introduces a new learning-based method, NASM, for anisotropic surface meshing. Our key idea is to propose a graph neural network to embed an input mesh into a high-dimensional (high-d) Euclidean embedding space to preserve curvature-based anisotropic metric by using a dot product loss between high-d edge vectors. This can dramatically reduce the computational time and increase the scalability. Then, we propose a novel feature-sensitive remeshing on the generated high-d embedding to automatically capture sharp geometric features. We define a high-d normal metric, and then derive an automatic differentiation on a high-d centroidal Voronoi tessellation (CVT) optimization with the normal metric to simultaneously preserve geometric features and curvature anisotropy that exhibit in the original 3D shapes. To our knowledge, this is the first time that a deep learning framework and a large dataset are proposed to construct a high-d Euclidean embedding space for 3D anisotropic surface meshing. Experimental results are evaluated and compared with the state-of-the-art in anisotropic surface meshing on a large number of surface models from Thingi10K dataset as well as tested on extensive unseen 3D shapes from Multi-Garment Network dataset and FAUST human dataset.

DiffTED: One-shot Audio-driven TED Talk Video Generation with Diffusion-based Co-speech Gestures

Audio-driven talking video generation has advanced significantly, but existing methods often depend on video-to-video translation techniques and traditional generative networks like GANs and they typically generate taking heads and co-speech gestures separately, leading to less coherent outputs. Furthermore, the gestures produced by these methods often appear overly smooth or subdued, lacking in diversity, and many gesture-centric approaches do not integrate talking head generation. To address these limitations, we introduce DiffTED, a new approach for one-shot audio-driven TED-style talking video generation from a single image. Specifically, we leverage a diffusion model to generate sequences of keypoints for a Thin-Plate Spline motion model, precisely controlling the avatar's animation while ensuring temporally coherent and diverse gestures. This innovative approach utilizes classifier-free guidance, empowering the gestures to flow naturally with the audio input without relying on pre-trained classifiers. Experiments demonstrate that DiffTED generates temporally coherent talking videos with diverse co-speech gestures.

SurgicalGaussian: Deformable 3D Gaussians for High-Fidelity Surgical Scene Reconstruction

Dynamic reconstruction of deformable tissues in endoscopic video is a key technology for robot-assisted surgery. Recent reconstruction methods based on neural radiance fields (NeRFs) have achieved remarkable results in the reconstruction of surgical scenes. However, based on implicit representation, NeRFs struggle to capture the intricate details of objects in the scene and cannot achieve real-time rendering. In addition, restricted single view perception and occluded instruments also propose special challenges in surgical scene reconstruction. To address these issues, we develop SurgicalGaussian, a deformable 3D Gaussian Splatting method to model dynamic surgical scenes. Our approach models the spatio-temporal features of soft tissues at each time stamp via a forward-mapping deformation MLP and regularization to constrain local 3D Gaussians to comply with consistent movement. With the depth initialization strategy and tool mask-guided training, our method can remove surgical instruments and reconstruct high-fidelity surgical scenes. Through experiments on various surgical videos, our network outperforms existing method on many aspects, including rendering quality, rendering speed and GPU usage.
