MamMA: A Mamba-Based Pedestrian Trajectory Prediction Algorithm Considering Occupancy Map and Pedestrian Awareness States

Many pedestrian trajectory prediction algorithms have been proposed to improve the safety of navigation for mobile robots working in human-robot coexistence environments. Some pedestrian trajectory prediction algorithms extract information about obstacles near pedestrians from top-down view images to improve the accuracy of trajectory prediction. However, mobile robots typically create local occupancy maps using LiDAR, rather than top-down view images. Meanwhile, the vision sensors on board robots provide egocentric view images, which contain fine-grained behavioral information about the pedestrians near the robot. To better use the information collected by LiDAR and on-board vision sensors, we propose MamMA, a Mamba-based pedestrian trajectory prediction algorithm considering occupancy maps and pedestrian awareness states. MamMA divides the occupancy map by patches and extracts obstacle features from each patch to create map features. Pedestrian awareness states are divided and considered, as some studies show that awareness states affect the perception and speed of pedestrians. Furthermore, a Mamba-based model is proposed to predict the future trajectories of pedestrians based on different types of features. Experiments on the STCrowd, SiT, JRDB, ETH, and UCY datasets show that MamMA achieves better average displacement error and final displacement error than the state-of-the-art algorithms.

Higher H\"{o}lder regularity for degenerate fully nonlinear elliptic equations with Hamiltonian terms

This paper focuses on a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations with variable double phase type degeneracy law and Hamiltonian terms. We obtain improved gradient H\"{o}lder regularity results at points where the Hamiltonian coefficients and source terms vanish. Furthermore, we establish a Schauder-type estimate at local extrema, which is sharp with respect to the vanishing rate of the Hamiltonian coefficient and source term. Our approach adapts compactness and dichotomy arguments to capture the interplay between the degeneracy rate and the growth of the Hamiltonian term.

Adaptive Real-Time Magnetic Field Tracking beyond Prior Waveform Constraints

The extraction of weak signals plays a crucial role in quantum precision measurement, where the estimation results are often limited by low signal-to-noise ratios. Here, we demonstrate a parameter-estimation framework based on the adaptive extended Kalman filter for dynamic magnetic-field estimation in quantum systems using spin-noise measurements -- a challenging regime characterized by weak signals. By modeling the magnetic field as an unknown parameter, the proposed approach alleviates model dependence in state estimation. Furthermore, by introducing an adaptive algorithm with real-time noise estimation, our method overcomes the measurement noise intensity constraints of conventional extended Kalman filtering and enhances its practical applicability. Numerical simulations covering three representative magnetic-field dynamics validate the capability of the proposed framework, while experimental results demonstrate successful tracking of a seismo-magnetic-like signal beyond the intrinsic sensitivity of conventional spin-noise spectroscopy.

Sharp regularity for a class of degenerate/singular fully nonlinear elliptic equations with Hamiltonian terms

We investigate the regularity of the viscosity solutions to a class of degenerate/singular fully nonlinear elliptic equations with Hamiltonian terms. To overcome the difficulty caused by the simultaneous presence of the general degenerate/singular gradient terms and Hamiltonian terms, we analyze the coupled interplay between the degeneracy/singularity law and the growth of Hamiltonian terms and establish lower regularity results. Finally, we obtain sharp interior $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity estimates via a geometric tangential method.

All-Optical High-Resolution Real-Time Temperature Estimation Method Based on Fiber-Optic Interferometry

High-resolution temperature monitoring is essential for many engineering and scientific applications, but conventional sensors are limited by insufficient resolution and susceptibility to electromagnetic interference. Fiber-optic interferometers provide high sensitivity and intrinsic electromagnetic immunity; however, their practical performance is hindered by nonlinear temperature-intensity responses, phase ambiguity, and environmental disturbances. Here, we develop an extended Kalman filter (EKF)-based approach that incorporates system non-linearity and noise statistics to enable robust real-time temperature estimation from interferometric signals. In numerical simulations, our EKF-based method reduces the estimation error to 2.21e-5 K, while experiments achieve a resolution of 8.34e-5 K under strong disturbances, corresponding to a threefold improvement over conventional intensity-based inversion method and an order-of-magnitude enhancement compared with traditional based measurement. These results demonstrate a compact and robust strategy for high-resolution, real-time, all-optical temperature sensing with strong immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Periodic homogenization of convolution type operators with irregular L\'{e}vy type tails

We establish the homogenization results for a class of nonlocal operators of convolution type with integrable jumping kernel $p$ multiplied by rapidly oscillating periodic or locally periodic coefficients. The associated measure $p(z)dz$ is assumed to belong to the domain of attraction of a symmetric $\alpha$-stable law. We also assume that $p$ satisfies a pointwise L\'evy type lower bound and an averaged annular upper bound for points bounded away from the origin, and that the local $L^1$ oscillation of $p$ decays faster at infinity than its local $L^1$-norm. Under these assumptions, we prove the resolvent convergence of the nonlocal operators and explicitly determine the corresponding homogenized nonlocal operator, which is shown to be comparable to the fractional Laplacian. The proof relies on compactness arguments and a refined analysis based on the annular integral upper bound and an $\varepsilon$-cube decomposition.

Periodic and stochastic homogenization of general nonlocal operators with oscillating coefficients

This paper investigates homogenization problems for the nonlocal operators with rapidly oscillating coefficients in the cases of periodic and random statistically homogeneous micro-structures. These operators involve the fractional Laplacian and some operators compared to it. Based on the $\Gamma$-convergence method and compactness arguments, we prove the homogenization theorems for these nonlocal operators with product-type and symmetric coefficient-structured kernels respectively. Furthermore, these results are extended to general nonlinear nonlocal equations.

SGR-OCC: Evolving Monocular Priors for Embodied 3D Occupancy Prediction via Soft-Gating Lifting and Semantic-Adaptive Geometric Refinement

3D semantic occupancy prediction is a cornerstone for embodied AI, enabling agents to perceive dense scene geometry and semantics incrementally from monocular video streams. However, current online frameworks face two critical bottlenecks: the inherent depth ambiguity of monocular estimation that causes "feature bleeding" at object boundaries , and the "cold start" instability where uninitialized temporal fusion layers distort high-quality spatial priors during early training stages. In this paper, we propose SGR-OCC (Soft-Gating and Ray-refinement Occupancy), a unified framework driven by the philosophy of "Inheritance and Evolution". To perfectly inherit monocular spatial expertise, we introduce a Soft-Gating Feature Lifter that explicitly models depth uncertainty via a Gaussian gate to probabilistically suppress background noise. Furthermore, a Dynamic Ray-Constrained Anchor Refinement module simplifies complex 3D displacement searches into efficient 1D depth corrections along camera rays, ensuring sub-voxel adherence to physical surfaces. To ensure stable evolution toward temporal consistency, we employ a Two-Phase Progressive Training Strategy equipped with identity-initialized fusion, effectively resolving the cold start problem and shielding spatial priors from noisy early gradients. Extensive experiments on the EmbodiedOcc-ScanNet and Occ-ScanNet benchmarks demonstrate that SGR-OCC achieves state-of-the-art performance. In local prediction tasks, SGR-OCC achieves a completion IoU of 58.55$\%$ and a semantic mIoU of 49.89$\%$, surpassing the previous best method, EmbodiedOcc++, by 3.65$\%$ and 3.69$\%$ respectively. In challenging embodied prediction tasks, our model reaches 55.72$\%$ SC-IoU and 46.22$\%$ mIoU. Qualitative results further confirm our model's superior capability in preserving structural integrity and boundary sharpness in complex indoor environments.

R3-RECON: Radiance-Field-Free Active Reconstruction via Renderability

In active reconstruction, an embodied agent must decide where to look next to efficiently acquire views that support high-quality novel-view rendering. Recent work on active view planning for neural rendering largely derives next-best-view (NBV) criteria by backpropagating through radiance fields or estimating information entropy over 3D Gaussian primitives. While effective, these strategies tightly couple view selection to heavy, representation-specific mechanisms and fail to account for the computational and resource constraints required for lightweight online deployment. In this paper, we revisit active reconstruction from a renderability-centric perspective. We propose $\mathbb{R}^{3}$-RECON, a radiance-fields-free active reconstruction framework that induces an implicit, pose-conditioned renderability field over SE(3) from a lightweight voxel map. Our formulation aggregates per-voxel online observation statistics into a unified scalar renderability score that is cheap to update and can be queried in closed form at arbitrary candidate viewpoints in milliseconds, without requiring gradients or radiance-field training. This renderability field is strongly correlated with image-space reconstruction error, naturally guiding NBV selection. We further introduce a panoramic extension that estimates omnidirectional (360$^\circ$) view utility to accelerate candidate evaluation. In the standard indoor Replica dataset, $\mathbb{R}^{3}$-RECON achieves more uniform novel-view quality and higher 3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) reconstruction accuracy than recent active GS baselines with matched view and time budgets.

Observation of High-Order Anisotropic Magnetoresistance in a Cubic Ferromagnet

High-order anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) is observed up to the 18th harmonic in cubic Fe(001) thin films, overturning the long-standing paradigm that only two- and four-fold terms are symmetry-allowed. Using angle-resolved transport and Fourier analysis, we show that six-fold and higher-order terms are intrinsic, tunable by temperature and thickness, and predicted by crystal symmetry. Microscopically, the two-fold sign reversal arises from a crossover between weak and strong scattering regimes, while high-order terms emerge from the interplay of anisotropic Fermi velocity and relaxation time. Our results establish high-order AMR as a symmetry-prescribed property of cubic ferromagnets, providing critical benchmarks for spin-orbit transport theory and enabling new angular-sensitive spintronic functionalities.

Observation of the crossover from quantum fluxoid to half-quantum fluxoid in a chiral superconducting device

Topological superconductors are one of the intriguing material groups from the viewpoint of not only condensed matter physics but also industrial application such as quantum computers based on Majorana fermion. For the real application, developments of the thin-film topological superconductors are highly desirable. Bi/Ni bilayer is a possible candidate for thin-film chiral superconductors where the time-reversal symmetry is broken. Here we report the phase shift of resistance oscillations by half flux quantum in a ring-shaped device of epitaxial Bi/Ni bilayer induced by a small magnetic field through the ring. The half quantum fluxoid can be a decisive evidence for unconventional superconductors where the superconducting order parameter has an internal degree of freedom. The present result provides a functional operating principle for quantum devices where the phase of the supercurrent can be shifted by \pi with a small magnetic field, based on the internal degree of freedom possessed by topological superconductivity.

Large-Scale LiDAR-Inertial Dataset for Degradation-Robust High-Precision Mapping

This paper introduces a large-scale, high-precision LiDAR-Inertial Odometry (LIO) dataset, aiming to address the insufficient validation of LIO systems in complex real-world scenarios in existing research. The dataset covers four diverse real-world environments spanning 60,000 to 750,000 square meters, collected using a custom backpack-mounted platform equipped with multi-beam LiDAR, an industrial-grade IMU, and RTK-GNSS modules. The dataset includes long trajectories, complex scenes, and high-precision ground truth, generated by fusing SLAM-based optimization with RTK-GNSS anchoring, and validated for trajectory accuracy through the integration of oblique photogrammetry and RTK-GNSS. This dataset provides a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating the generalization ability of LIO systems in practical high-precision mapping scenarios.

Global Calder\'on-Zygmund estimates for asymptotically convex fully nonlinear Grad-Mercier type equations

In this paper, we consider the following Dirichlet problem for the fully nonlinear elliptic equation of Grad-Mercier type under asymptotic convexity conditions \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} F(D^2u(x),Du(x),u(x),x)=g(|\{y\in \Omega:u(y)\ge u(x)\}|)+f(x) & \text{in } \Omega, u=\psi &\text{on } \partial \Omega. \end{array} \right. \end{equation*} In order to overcome the non-convexity of the operator $F$ and the nonlocality of the nonhomogeneous term $g$, we apply the compactness methods and frozen technique to prove the existence of the $W^{2,p}$-viscosity solutions and the global $W^{2,p}$ estimate. As an application, we derive a Cordes-Nirenberg type continuous estimate up to boundary. Furthermore, we establish a global BMO estimate for the second derivatives of solutions by using an asymptotic approach, thereby refining the borderline case of Calder\'{o}n-Zygmund estimates.

Rendering Anywhere You See: Renderability Field-guided Gaussian Splatting

Scene view synthesis, which generates novel views from limited perspectives, is increasingly vital for applications like virtual reality, augmented reality, and robotics. Unlike object-based tasks, such as generating 360{\deg} views of a car, scene view synthesis handles entire environments where non-uniform observations pose unique challenges for stable rendering quality. To address this issue, we propose a novel approach: renderability field-guided gaussian splatting (RF-GS). This method quantifies input inhomogeneity through a renderability field, guiding pseudo-view sampling to enhanced visual consistency. To ensure the quality of wide-baseline pseudo-views, we train an image restoration model to map point projections to visible-light styles. Additionally, our validated hybrid data optimization strategy effectively fuses information of pseudo-view angles and source view textures. Comparative experiments on simulated and real-world data show that our method outperforms existing approaches in rendering stability.

OpenFusion++: An Open-vocabulary Real-time Scene Understanding System

Real-time open-vocabulary scene understanding is essential for efficient 3D perception in applications such as vision-language navigation, embodied intelligence, and augmented reality. However, existing methods suffer from imprecise instance segmentation, static semantic updates, and limited handling of complex queries. To address these issues, we present OpenFusion++, a TSDF-based real-time 3D semantic-geometric reconstruction system. Our approach refines 3D point clouds by fusing confidence maps from foundational models, dynamically updates global semantic labels via an adaptive cache based on instance area, and employs a dual-path encoding framework that integrates object attributes with environmental context for precise query responses. Experiments on the ICL, Replica, ScanNet, and ScanNet++ datasets demonstrate that OpenFusion++ significantly outperforms the baseline in both semantic accuracy and query responsiveness.

Absence of spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking and ferromagnetism in superconducting NiBi3 single crystal

Recent experiments have pointed to a chiral p-wave-like superconductivity in epitaxial Bi/Ni bilayers that are spontaneously time-reversal symmetry breaking (TRSB), making it a promising platform for exploring physics useful for topologically protected quantum computing. Quite intriguingly, evidence has emerged that in non-epitaxial Bi/Ni bilayers, superconductivity arises due to the formation of NiBi3, which has been reported to host coexisting ferromagnetic and superconducting orders at the surface. We perform high resolution surface magneto-optic Kerr effect (SMOKE) measurements using a Sagnac interferometer on single crystal NiBi3 and find no sign of any spontaneous Kerr signal except for contributions from trapped vortices. This strongly indicates the absence of TRSB in NiBi3, whether due to TRSB in the superconducting state or any coexisting ferromagnetism, and we conclude that the superconductivity found in non-epitaxial Bi/Ni is distinctively different from that in epitaxial Bi/Ni.

Plane Spiral OAM Mode-Group Based MIMO Communications: An Experimental Study

Spatial division multiplexing using conventional orbital angular momentum (OAM) has become a well-known physical layer transmission method over the past decade. The mode-group (MG) superposed by specific single mode plane spiral OAM (PSOAM) waves has been proved to be a flexible beamforming method to achieve the azimuthal pattern diversity, which inherits the spiral phase distribution of conventional OAM wave. Thus, it possesses both the beam directionality and vorticity. In this paper, it's the first time to show and verify novel PSOAM MG based multiple-in-multiple-out (MIMO) communication link (MG-MIMO) experimentally in a line-of-sight (LoS) scenario. A compact multi-mode PSOAM antenna is demonstrated experimentally to generate multiple independent controllable PSOAM waves, which can be used for constructing MGs. After several proof-of-principle tests, it has been verified that the beam directionality gain of MG can improve the receiving signal-to-noise (SNR) level in an actual system, meanwhile, the vorticity can provide another degree of freedom (DoF) to reduce the spatial correlation of MIMO system. Furthermore, a tentative long-distance transmission experiment operated at 10.2 GHz has been performed successfully at a distance of 50 m with a single-way spectrum efficiency of 3.7 bits/s/Hz/stream. The proposed MG-MIMO may have potential in the long-distance LoS back-haul scenario.

Theoretical analysis of the non-uniform OAM source based on an equivalent source transformation

Orbital angular momentum (OAM) has gradually become a research hotspot in radar, communication and other fields because of its phase distribution. However it encounters some problems in the real practice owing to its inherent characteristics. Recently OAM mode group has been proposed to solve these problems. In this paper, a non-uniform OAM source is used to generate the OAM mode-group (MG) directly. The radiation field is analyzed based on an equivalent source transformation. Taking the partial arc transmitting (PAT) scheme as an example, the non-uniform source is equivalenced as a group of uniform OAM sources by calculated its Fourier transform. This work provides theoretical guidance for the design of non-uniform OAM antenna in the RF domain.
