Harvesting entanglement from the Lorentz-violating quantum field vacuum in a dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate

We theoretically propose an experimentally viable scheme to explore the transfer of nonclassical correlations from a dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) to a pair of impurities immersed in it. Operating at ultra-low temperature, density fluctuations of the dipolar BEC emulate a vacuum field with Lorentz-violating dispersion, while the two impurities function as Unruh-DeWitt detectors for the BEC quasiparticles. We study the harvesting of entanglement from the quantum vacuum of this analogue Lorentz-violating quantum field by spatially separated Unruh-DeWitt detectors. Our analysis reveals key parameter dependencies that optimize the harvesting of entanglement. In particular, unlike the Lorentz-invariant case, smoother detector switchings does not enhance the entanglement harvesting efficiency from the Lorentz-violating quantum field vacuum. Moreover, the strength of the Lorentz-invariant violation can shift the optimal energy structure of the detectors for harvesting entanglement from the Lorentz-violating quantum field vacuum-a clear deviation from the Lorentz-invariant scenario. As a fundamental quantum mechanical setup, our quantum fluid platform provides an experimentally realizable testbed for examining the entanglement harvesting protocol from an effective Lorentz-violating quantum field vacuum using a pair of impurity probers, which may also has potential implications for exploring the Lorentz-invariant violation in quantum field theory.

Holographic superconductor with dark sector probed by entanglement entropy in higher dimensional AdS spacetime

We investigate the holographic entanglement entropy (HEE) with dark matter in a higher-dimensional AdS black hole spacetime including full back reaction, revealing its role as a diagnostic tool for critical phenomena in strongly coupled systems. By analyzing the HEE, we uncover distinct signatures of the metal/superconductor phase transition, demonstrating that the critical temperature is dynamically tuned by both the dark matter coupling strength and the chemical potential ratio between visible and dark matter sectors. Notably, near the criticality, the HEE exhibits a novel scaling behavior: it grows linearly with the dark matter coupling but displays a nonlinear, accelerated enhancement as the chemical potential ratio between the Maxwell and dark matter sectors increases.

Does relativistic motion always degrade quantum Fisher information?

We investigate the ultimate estimation precision, characterized by the quantum Fisher information, of a two-level atom as a detector which is coupled to massless scalar field in the Minkowski vacuum. It has been shown that for an inertial detector moving with a constant velocity, its quantum Fisher information is completely unaffected by the velocity, however, it still decays over time due to the decoherence caused by the interaction between the atom and the field. In addition, for a uniformly accelerated detector ($w=0$) moving along spatially straight line, the accelerated motion will reduce the quantum Fisher information in the estimation of state parameters. However, when the detector trajectory is generated by a combination of the linear accelerated motion and a component of the four-velocity $w=dy/d\tau$, we find quite unlike the previous results that, for the non-relativistic case $(w\ll1)$, the acceleration could degrade the quantum Fisher information, while the four-velocity component will suppress the degradation of the quantum Fisher information, and thus could enhance the precision of parameters estimation. Furthermore, in the case for ultra-relativistic velocities $(w\rightarrow\infty)$, although the detector still interacts with the environment, it behaves as if it were a closed system as a consequence of relativity correction associated to the velocity, and the quantum Fisher information in this case can be shield from the effect of the external environment, and thus from the relativistic motion.

Holographic insulator/superconductor transition with exponential nonlinear electrodynamics probed by entanglement entropy

From the viewpoint of holography, we study the behaviors of the entanglement entropy in insulator/superconductor transition with exponential nonlinear electrodynamics (ENE). We find that the entanglement entropy is a good probe to the properties of the holographic phase transition. Both in the half space and the belt space, the non-monotonic behavior of the entanglement entropy in superconducting phase versus the chemical potential is general in this model. Furthermore, the behavior of the entanglement entropy for the strip geometry shows that the confinement/deconfinement phase transition appears in both insulator and superconductor phases. And the critical width of the the confinement/deconfinement phase transition depends on the chemical potential and the exponential coupling term. More interestingly, the behaviors of the entanglement entropy in their corresponding insulator phases are independent of the exponential coupling factor but depends on the the width of the subsystem $\mathcal{A}$.

Holographic entanglement entropy in metal/superconductor phase transition with exponential nonlinear electrodynamics

We study the holographic entanglement entropy in metal/superconductor phase transition with exponential nonlinear electrodynamics (ENE) in four and five dimensional spacetimes. We find that the holographic entanglement entropy is powerful tool in studying the properties of the holographic phase transition. For the operator $\langle\mathcal{O}_{+}\rangle$, we observe that the entanglement entropy in 4-dimensional spacetime decreases in metal phase but changes non-monotonously in superconducting phase with the increase of the ENE parameter. Interestingly, the change of the entanglement entropy in 5-dimensional spacetime for both the phases is monotonous as the ENE factor alters. For the operator $\langle\mathcal{O}_{-}\rangle$, we show that the behavior of entanglement entropy in four and five dimensions changes monotonously for both phases as one tunes the strength of the ENE. Furthermore, for both the operators the entanglement entropy in four or five dimensional black hole increases with the increase of the width of the region.

Holographic entanglement entropy in metal/superconductor phase transition with Born-Infeld electrodynamics

We investigate the holographic entanglement entropy in the metal/superconductor phase transition for the Born-Infeld electrodynamics with full backreaction and note that the entropy is a good probe to study the properties of the phase transition. For the operator $<\mathcal{O}_{-}>$, we find that the entanglement entropy decreases (or increases) with the increase of the Born-Infeld parameter $b$ in the metal (or superconducting) phase. For the operator $<\mathcal{O}_{+}>$, we observe that, with the increase of the Born-Infeld parameter, the entanglement entropy in the metal phase decreases monotonously but the entropy in the superconducting phase first increases and forms a peak at some threshold $b_{T}$, then decreases continuously. Moreover, the value of $b_{T}$ becomes smaller as the width of the subsystem $A$ decreases.

Holographic entanglement entropy in insulator/superconductor transition with Born-Infeld electrodynamics

We investigate the holographic entanglement entropy in the insulator/superconductor phase transition for the Born-Infeld electrodynamics with full backreaction in five-dimensional AdS soliton spacetime. We note that the holographic entanglement entropy is a good probe to study the properties of the phase transition, and the Born-Infeld factor $b$ has no effect on the critical chemical potential $\mu_c$. We find that both in the half space and the belt one, the non-monotonic behavior of the entanglement entropy versus the chemical potential is a general property, and the entanglement entropy increases with the increase of the Born-Infeld factor in the superconductor phase. Particularly, there exists confinement/deconfinement phase transition in the strip geometry and the critical width $\ell_c$ is dependent of the Born-Infeld parameter.

Analytical study on holographic superconductors for Born-Infeld electrodynamics in Gauss-Bonnet gravity with backreactions

We analytically study the holographic superconductors for Born-Infeld electrodynamics in Gauss-Bonnet gravity with backreactions. We note that the analytic method is still powerful for this complex system and the results obtained by the analytical and numerical computations are consistent. We find that the critical temperature decreases with the increase of the backreactions, Gauss-Bonnet, and Born-Infeld parameters, which means that increase of the strength of these effects will make the scalar hair harder to form. Furthermore, the Gauss-Bonnet factor modifies the critical temperature more significantly than the backreaction factor. The effect of the Born-Infeld factor on the critical temperature is weaker than the backreaction factor. We also show that the critical exponent is not affected by the backreactions, Gauss-Bonnet gravity, and Born-Infeld electrodynamics.

Effects of acceleration on the collision of particles in the rotating black hole spacetime

We study the collision of two geodesic particles in the accelerating and rotating black hole spacetime and probe the effects of the acceleration of black hole on the center-of-mass energy of the colliding particles and on the high-velocity collision belts. We find that the dependence of the center-of-mass energy on the acceleration in the near event-horizon collision is different from that in the near acceleration-horizon case. Moreover, the presence of the acceleration changes the shape and position of the high-velocity collision belts. Our results show that the acceleration of black holes brings richer physics for the collision of particles.

Quasinormal modes of a scalar perturbation coupling with Einstein's tensor in the warped $AdS_3$ black hole spacetime

We have studied the quasinormal modes of a massive scalar field coupling to Einstein's tensor in the spacelike stretched $AdS_3$ black hole spacetime. We find that both the right-moving and left-moving quasinormal frequencies depend not only on the warped parameter $v$ of black hole, but also on the coupling between the scalar field and Einstein's tensor. Moreover, we also discuss the warped $AdS/CFT$ correspondence from the quasinormal modes and probe the effects of the coupling on the left and right conformal weights $h_L$ and $h_R$ of the operators dual to the scalar field in the boundary.
