Determination of certain mod $p$ Galois representations using local constancy

Let $p \geq 5$ be a prime. Let $k = b + c(p-1)$ be an integer in $[2p+2, p^2 - p +3]$, where $b \in [2,p]$ and $c \in [2, p-1]$. We prove local constancy in the weight space of the mod $p$ reduction of certain two-dimensional crystalline representations of $\mathrm{Gal}(\bar{\mathbb{Q}}_p/\mathbb{Q}_p)$, where the slope $\nu(a_p)$ is constrained to be in $(1, c)$ and non-integral. We use the mod $p$ local Langlands correspondence for $\text{GL}_{2} (\mathbb{Q}_{p})$ to compute the mod $p$ reductions explicitly, thereby also giving a lower bound on the radius of constancy around the weights $k$ in the above range and under additional conditions on the slope. As an application of local constancy, we obtain explicit mod $p$ reductions at many new values of $k$ and $a_p$.

On the local constancy of certain mod $p$ Galois representations

In this article we study local constancy of the mod $p$ reduction of certain $2$-dimensional crystalline representations of $\mathrm{Gal}\left(\bar{\mathbb{Q}}_p/\mathbb{Q}_p\right)$ using the mod $p$ local Langlands correspondence. We prove local constancy in the weight space by giving an explicit lower bound on the local constancy radius centered around weights going up to $(p-1)^{2} +3$ and the slope fixed in $(0, \ p-1)$ satisfying certain constraints. We establish the lower bound by determining explicitly the mod $p$ reductions at nearby weights and applying a local constancy result of Berger.

Sensitivity of nuclear stopping towards density dependent symmetry energy

The effect of density dependent symmetry energy on nuclear-stopping is studied using isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model(IQMD). We have used the reduced isospin-dependent cross-section with soft(S) equation of state for the systems having different isostopic content, to explore the various aspects of nuclear stopping. The aim is to pin down the nature of the nuclear stopping with density dependent symmetry energy. Nuclear stopping is found to be sensitive towards the various forms of the density dependent symmetry energy. The nuclear stopping tends to decrease for the stiffer equation of state (EOS), i.e. larger values of gamma.

Assesment of multifragmentation under the effect of symmetry energy and cross-section

The effect of symmetry energy and cross section had seen on the fragment production in the multifragmentation of $^{20}Ne_{10}+ ^{20}Ne_{10}$ and $^{197}Au_{79} + ^{197}Au_{79}$ at incident energy 50-1000 MeV/nucleon using isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model. To see the effect of symmetry energy and cross-section in more effective way relative yield of $^{197}Au_{79}$ and $^{20}Ne_{10}$ was studied. It is observed that relative yield of free nucleon, light mass fragment at isospin dependent cross-section is almost same at different symmetry energy values. While for fixed cross-section relative yield is influenced by symmetry energy. We compare the stiffness of symmetry energy suggested by different groups with our value. To verify our result we compare our study with ALADIN data.

Anisotropic distribution of nucleon participating in elliptical flow

Using the isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin dependent cross-section on $\frac{dN}{d( )}$ and $\frac{dN}{p_tdp_t}$. Simulations have been carried out for the reactions of $^{124}X_{m}+^{124}X_{m}$, where m = (47, 50 and 59) and $^{40}S_{16}+^{40}S_{16}$. Our study shows that these parameters depend strongly on the isospin of cross-section and charge asymmetry. The distribution of nucleons and fragments is not symmetric around the beam axis.

Probing the effect of different cross-sections in asymmetric collisions

We present a complete systematic theoretical study of multifragmentation for asymmetric colliding nuclei for heavy-ion reactions in the energy range between 50 MeV/nucleon and 1000 MeV/nucleon by using isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) model. We have observed an interesting outcome for asymmetric colliding nuclei. The comparison between the symmetric and asymmetric colliding nuclei for the isospin independent cross section and isospin dependent cross section has been studied. We have found the pronounced effect of different cross section and mass asymmetry on the nuclear reaction dynamics.

Mass dependence of various fragments in multi-fragmentation

Based on the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) model, we aim to understand the effect of target fragmentation on various quantities i.e. collision rate, fragments multiplicity etc by simulating the collision between $Au^{197}$ projectile and $C^{12}$, $Al^{26}$, $Cu^{63}$, and $Pb^{208}$ as targets at incident energy 600 MeV/nucleon. The collision geometry is varied from central to peripheral. Our results indicate the rise and fall in the production of intermediate mass fragments with ${Z_{bound}}$ which is in agreement with the experimental data of Aladin collaboration at lower impact parameters, while, some deviation is seen at higher impact parameters.

Isospin dependence of balance energy in heavy-ion collisions

Based on the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) picture, we attempt to understand the nature of transverse flow in $_{28}Ni^{58}+_{28}Ni^{58}$ and $_{26}Fe^{58}+_{26}Fe^{58}$ systems at wide range of energies and impact parameters. The isospin dependence of balance energy in transverse flow is clearly visible. The results are compared with the experimental data available.

Phase space analysis of fragmentation and role of mass asymmetry

Based on the quantum molecular dynamics (QMD) picture, we aim to understand heavy-ion collisions in terms of participant spectator matter leading to various fragments of different sizes. The study is performed for symmetric as well as asymmetric reaction at E = 200 MeV/nucleon for central collisions. Our results highlight the importance of fragmentation criterion in terms of light mass fargments which are a part of participant matter and intermediate mass fragments which are coming from the spectator region.

Influence of density dependent symmetry energy on Elliptical flow

The effect of density dependent symmetry energy on elliptical flow is studied using isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model(IQMD). We have used the reduced isospin- dependent cross-section with hard(H) equation of state to study the sensitivity of elliptical flow towards symmetry energy in the energy range of 50 - 1000 MeV/nucleon. The elliptical flow becomes zero at a particular energy termed as transition energy. A systematic effort has been made to pin down the transition energy for the density dependent symmetry energy.

Influence of charge asymmetry and isospin dependent cross-section on nuclear stopping

Using the isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin dependent cross-section on nuclear stopping and multiplicity of free nucleons and LMF's. Simulations were carried out for the reactions $^{124}X_{m}+^{124}X_{m}$, where m varies from 47 to 59 and for $^{40}Y_{n}+^{40}Y_{n}$, where n varies from 14 to 23. Our study shows that nuclear stopping as well as the production of LMF's depend strongly on the isospin of the cross-section.

Our study shows that elliptical flow depend strongly on the isospin of cross-section. The transition energy remains almost constant with increase in N/Z of the system. A good agreement is obtained with experimental measurements.

Effect of isospin dependent cross-section on fragment production in the collision of charge asymmetric nuclei

To understand the role of isospin effects on fragmentation due to the collisions of charge asymmetric nuclei, we have performed a complete systematical study using isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model. Our study shows that isospin dependent cross-section shows its influence on fragmentation in the collision of neutron rich nuclei.

Effect of different Gaussian width on disappearance of flow

In the present paper, we reduce and enhance the scaled Gaussian width(SGW) by 30% from the normal SGW of the systems and see its effect on balance energy. The scaled Gaussian width can be defined as the ratio of Gaussian width used for any nuclei to the Gaussian width used for Au nuclei(i.e. 8.66 $fm^2$).

This study shows that the balance energy is affected by the Coulomb interactions as well as different nuclear equations of state. The preliminary results calculated theoretically will be of great use for scientists at VECC. This study is further in progress.

Effect of isospin dependent cross-section on nuclear stopping

Nuclear stopping in heavy ion collisions (HIC) has been studied by means of rapidity distribution and asymmetry of nucleon momentum distribution. It is an important quantity in determining the outcome of a reaction. Fen Fu {\it et al.,} \cite{2} calculate both the radial flow and the degree of nuclear stopping in Pb + Pb and Ni + Ni at 0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 GeV/neucleon. They found that the expansion velocity as well as the degree of nuclear stopping are higher in the heavier system at all energies.
