TenonAgent: Virtualizing Execution Residency for Memory-Oversubscribed LLM Agents

LLM agents execute as long-lived, multi-stage workflows with substantial resource-demand variation across phases. Provisioning each agent or sandbox for its lifetime peak leads to low resource utilization, particularly for memory, whereas aggressive oversubscription risks memory contention, out-of-memory failures, and costly workflow retries. This tension limits the concurrency and efficiency of agent serving under constrained host memory. We present TenonAgent, a runtime system that virtualizes sandbox residency by decoupling the logical agent's lifetime from its physical execution environment. To manage memory oversubscription, TenonAgent employs a dual-timescale control plane. At action boundaries, it combines predictive admission control with a fail-closed, restart-safe contract, dynamically materializing or dematerializing sandboxes based on global memory pressure. During active tool execution, a sched_ext-based kernel gate paces sandbox execution permissions to reduce unexpected concurrent memory growth. The gate provides feedback control over future execution opportunities. Evaluations across diverse agentic workloads show that, under the tested workloads and parameter settings, TenonAgent substantially reduces observed OOM failures and achieves a 100% task success rate in bursts reaching an 8.6x memory oversubscription ratio. Overall, it delivers up to a 5.5x speedup over unmanaged execution, outperforms existing agent-level and cgroup-based schedulers by 5x to 37x, and provides consistent benefits across both Docker and Firecracker microVM backends.

NIR-II Fluorescence Project Technology for Augmented Reality Surgical Navigation

NIR-II fluorescence imaging provides superior tissue penetration and clarity, yet its clinical use in surgical navigation is hindered by a critical workflow issue. Surgeons must divert their attention between the operative field and external monitors, increasing cognitive load and disrupting procedures. Current strategies have failed to resolve this fundamental problem. Here, we developed a co-axial NIR-II fluorescence projection navigation system to enable real-time, in situ visualization. This system creates an intraoperative augmented reality by directly projecting high-precision, pseudocolored fluorescence images onto the surgical field, spatially integrating functional signals with patient anatomy. Validated through in vitro, in vivo, and clinical patient studies, our system eliminates visual field switching, reduces intraoperative distraction, and preserves natural stereoscopic vision. This approach represents a paradigm shift toward a more coherent, efficient, and ergonomically optimized optical imaging modality for surgical navigation.

The truncated EM scheme for multiple-delay SDEs with irregular coefficients and application to stochastic volatility model

This paper focuses on the numerical scheme for multiple-delay stochastic differential equations with partially Hölder continuous drifts and locally Hölder continuous diffusion coefficients. To handle with the superlinear terms in coefficients, the truncated Euler-Maruyama scheme is employed. Under the given conditions, the convergence rates at time $T$ in both $\mathcal{L}^{1}$ and $\mathcal{L}^{2}$ senses are shown by virtue of the Yamada-Watanabe approximation technique. Moreover, the convergence rates over a finite time interval $[0,T]$ are also obtained. Additionally, it should be noted that the convergence rates will not be affected by the number of delay variables. Finally, we perform the numerical experiments on the stochastic volatility model to verify the reliability of the theoretical results.
