LMPAN: A Lightweight Multi-Path Alignment Network for Joint Full-Duplex Acoustic Echo Cancellation and Noise Suppression

We propose a lightweight multi-path alignment network (LMPAN) for on-device joint acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) and noise suppression (NS) in full-duplex spoken dialogue systems. To address hardware-induced distortions and dynamic acoustic conditions, we introduce three core innovations: (1) a multi-path alignment stage correcting temporal and energy mismatches across reference, linear AEC (LAEC) output, and microphone signals; (2) an attention-based mechanism that dynamically integrates enhanced LAEC and microphone features under varying acoustic scenarios; (3) a post-filtering module with a dynamic target generation strategy for downstream tasks (ASR, VAD). Furthermore, we adopt a two-stage training framework leveraging self-supervised learning representations to enhance perceptual quality. Experiments show that LMPAN, with only 480K parameters and 126 MACs, achieves performance comparable to the state-of-the-art lightweight model DeepVQE-S, while ensuring real-time inference capability.

Discrete Token Modeling for Multi-Stem Music Source Separation with Language Models

We propose a generative framework for multi-track music source separation (MSS) that reformulates the task as conditional discrete token generation. Unlike conventional approaches that directly estimate continuous signals in the time or frequency domain, our method combines a Conformer-based conditional encoder, a dual-path neural audio codec (HCodec), and a decoder-only language model to autoregressively generate audio tokens for four target tracks. The generated tokens are decoded back to waveforms through the codec decoder. Evaluation on the MUSDB18-HQ benchmark shows that our generative approach achieves perceptual quality approaching state-of-the-art discriminative methods, while attaining the highest NISQA score on the vocals track. Ablation studies confirm the effectiveness of the learnable Conformer encoder and the benefit of sequential cross-track generation.

A Hybrid Discriminative and Generative System for Universal Speech Enhancement

Universal speech enhancement aims at handling inputs with various speech distortions and recording conditions. In this work, we propose a novel hybrid architecture that synergizes the signal fidelity of discriminative modeling with the reconstruction capabilities of generative modeling. Our system utilizes the discriminative TF-GridNet model with the Sampling-Frequency-Independent strategy to handle variable sampling rates universally. In parallel, an autoregressive model combined with spectral mapping modeling generates detail-rich speech while effectively suppressing generative artifacts. Finally, a fusion network learns adaptive weights of the two outputs under the optimization of signal-level losses and the comprehensive Speech Quality Assessment (SQA) loss. Our proposed system is evaluated in the ICASSP 2026 URGENT Challenge (Track 1) and ranks the third place.

Contextual Biasing for LLM-Based ASR with Hotword Retrieval and Reinforcement Learning

Large language model (LLM)-based automatic speech recognition (ASR) has recently achieved strong performance across diverse tasks, yet contextual biasing for named entities and hotwords under large vocabularies remains challenging. In this work, we propose a scalable two-stage framework that integrates hotword retrieval with LLM-ASR adaptation. First, we extend the Global-Local Contrastive Language-Audio pre-trained model (GLCLAP) to retrieve a compact top-k set of hotword candidates from a large vocabulary via robustness-aware data augmentation and fuzzy matching. Second, we inject the retrieved candidates as textual prompts into an LLM-ASR model and fine-tune it with Generative Rejection-Based Policy Optimization (GRPO), using a task-driven reward that jointly optimizes hotword recognition and overall transcription accuracy. Experiments on hotword-focused test sets show substantial keyword error rate (KER) reductions while maintaining sentence accuracy on general ASR benchmarks, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed framework for large-vocabulary contextual biasing.

QuarkAudio Technical Report

Many existing audio processing and generation models rely on task-specific architectures, resulting in fragmented development efforts and limited extensibility. It is therefore promising to design a unified framework capable of handling multiple tasks, while providing robust instruction and audio understanding and high-quality audio generation. This requires a compatible paradigm design, a powerful backbone, and a high-fidelity audio reconstruction module. To meet these requirements, this technical report introduces QuarkAudio, a decoder-only autoregressive (AR) LM-based generative framework that unifies multiple tasks. The framework includes a unified discrete audio tokenizer, H-Codec, which incorporates self-supervised learning (SSL) representations into the tokenization and reconstruction process. We further propose several improvements to H-Codec, such as a dynamic frame-rate mechanism and extending the audio sampling rate to 48 kHz. QuarkAudio unifies tasks by using task-specific conditional information as the conditioning sequence of the decoder-only LM, and predicting discrete target audio tokens in an AR manner. The framework supports a wide range of audio processing and generation tasks, including speech restoration (SR), target speaker extraction (TSE), speech separation (SS), voice conversion (VC), and language-queried audio source separation (LASS). In addition, we extend downstream tasks to universal free-form audio editing guided by natural language instructions (including speech semantic editing and audio event editing). Experimental results show that H-Codec achieves high-quality audio reconstruction with a low frame rate, improving both the efficiency and performance of downstream audio generation, and that QuarkAudio delivers competitive or comparable performance to state-of-the-art task-specific or multi-task systems across multiple tasks.

Synaspot: A Lightweight, Streaming Multi-modal Framework for Keyword Spotting with Audio-Text Synergy

Open-vocabulary keyword spotting (KWS) in continuous speech streams holds significant practical value across a wide range of real-world applications. While increasing attention has been paid to the role of different modalities in KWS, their effectiveness has been acknowledged. However, the increased parameter cost from multimodal integration and the constraints of end-to-end deployment have limited the practical applicability of such models. To address these challenges, we propose a lightweight, streaming multi-modal framework. First, we focus on multimodal enrollment features and reduce speaker-specific (voiceprint) information in the speech enrollment to extract speaker-irrelevant characteristics. Second, we effectively fuse speech and text features. Finally, we introduce a streaming decoding framework that only requires the encoder to extract features, which are then mathematically decoded with our three modal representations. Experiments on LibriPhase and WenetPrase demonstrate the performance of our model. Compared to existing streaming approaches, our method achieves better performance with significantly fewer parameters.

UniTok-Audio: A Unified Audio Generation Framework via Generative Modeling on Discrete Codec Tokens

Generative modeling has recently achieved remarkable success across text, image, and audio domains, demonstrating powerful capabilities for unified representation learning. However, audio generation models still face challenges in terms of audio quality and generalization ability across tasks. This fragmentation results in redundant development efforts, inconsistent performance, and limited extensibility. To address these issues, we propose \textbf{UniTok-Audio}, a scalable and extensible framework for unified audio generation tasks. Specifically, 1) UniTok-Audio extracts continuous feature of conditions to generates discrete tokens of target audio in an autoregressive manner; 2) a special task identifier token unifies different learning patterns of multiple tasks in a single framework; 3) a dual-stream audio codec involving acoustic and semantic branch is developed for high-fidelity waveform reconstruction. Experimental results demonstrate that UniTok-Audio achieves competitive performance in comparation with state-of-the-art task-specific or multi-task systems across five time-aligned tasks: speech restoration, target speaker extraction, speech separation, voice conversion, and language-queried audio source separation. To foster future research, we will open-source our codebase. The demo page of our work can be found here: https://alibaba.github.io/unified-audio.

UniSE: A Unified Framework for Decoder-Only Autoregressive LM-Based Speech Enhancement

Neural audio codecs have largely promoted the application of language models (LMs) for speech applications. However, the effectiveness of autoregressive LM-based models in unifying speech enhancement (SE) tasks remains underexplored. In this work, we propose UniSE, a unified decoder-only LM-based framework to handle different SE tasks including speech restoration, target speaker extraction, and speech separation. Conditioned on input speech features, it autoregressively generates target discrete tokens, facilitating compatibility between distinct learning patterns of multiple tasks. To further optimize speech quality, we introduce a progressive reinforcement learning strategy with multiple assessment criteria. Experiments on several benchmarks show that UniSE achieves competitive performance compared to discriminative and generative baselines, demonstrating the capacity of LMs in unifying SE tasks. OmniAvatar: Efficient Audio-Driven Avatar Video Generation with Adaptive Body Animation

Significant progress has been made in audio-driven human animation, while most existing methods focus mainly on facial movements, limiting their ability to create full-body animations with natural synchronization and fluidity. They also struggle with precise prompt control for fine-grained generation. To tackle these challenges, we introduce OmniAvatar, an innovative audio-driven full-body video generation model that enhances human animation with improved lip-sync accuracy and natural movements. OmniAvatar introduces a pixel-wise multi-hierarchical audio embedding strategy to better capture audio features in the latent space, enhancing lip-syncing across diverse scenes. To preserve the capability for prompt-driven control of foundation models while effectively incorporating audio features, we employ a LoRA-based training approach. Extensive experiments show that OmniAvatar surpasses existing models in both facial and semi-body video generation, offering precise text-based control for creating videos in various domains, such as podcasts, human interactions, dynamic scenes, and singing.
