Geometry and classifications of some $\omega$-Lie algebras

Using group actions and orbit-stabilizer methods, we study the geometry of isomorphism classes of finite-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over a field $\mathbb{K}$ of characteristic $\neq 2$ and establish a one-to-one correspondence between the set of isomorphism classes and the orbit space of a stabilizer of $\omega$. We also apply techniques from computational ideal theory to explore the geometric structure of the affine variety of all 3-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over $\mathbb{K}$, showing that this variety is a 6-dimensional irreducible affine variety and a complete intersection. As an application, we derive a complete classification of all 3-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $\neq 2$, up to $\omega$-Lie algebra isomorphism.

Rota-Baxter operators on $\omega$-Lie algebras

This article explores Rota-Baxter operators on finite-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over a field of characteristic not 2. We provide several methods for constructing left-symmetric algebras, $\omega$-Lie algebras, and Hom-Lie algebras via compatible Rota-Baxter operators on a given $\omega$-Lie algebra. We also study the geometric structures of compatible Rota-Baxter operators of weight $0$ and isometric Rota-Baxter operators of weight $1$ over the field of complex numbers. In particular, we prove that the affine variety of all isometric Rota-Baxter operators of weight $1$ on any finite-dimensional non-Lie complex simple $\omega$-Lie algebra is $1$-dimensional. Furthermore, we show that for every $4$-dimensional non-Lie complex $\omega$-Lie algebra, there always exists a nilpotent compatible Rota-Baxter operator of weight $0$ such that the induced Hom-Lie algebra is nonabelian but solvable.

Some four-dimensional orthogonal invariants

Let $p$ be an odd prime and $\mathbb{F}_p$ be the prime field of order $p$. Consider a $2$-dimensional orthogonal group $G$ over $\mathbb{F}_p$ acting on the standard representation $V$ and the dual space $V^*$. We compute the invariant ring $\mathbb{F}_p[V\oplus V^*]^G$ via explicitly exhibiting a minimal generating set. Our method finds an application of $s$-invariants appeared in covariant theory of finite groups.

Generalized derivations of $\omega$-Lie algebras

This article explores the structure theory of compatible generalized derivations of finite-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over a field $\mathbb{K}$. We prove that any compatible quasiderivation of an $\omega$-Lie algebra can be embedded as a compatible derivation into a larger $\omega$-Lie algebra, refining the general result established by Leger and Luks in 2000 for finite-dimensional nonassociative algebras. We also provide an approach to explicitly compute (compatible) generalized derivations and quasiderivations for all $3$-dimensional non-Lie complex $\omega$-Lie algebras.

Invariant theory and coefficient algebras of Lie algebras

The coefficient algebra of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra on a finite-dimensional representation is defined as the subalgebra generated by all coefficients of the corresponding characteristic polynomial. We explore connections between classical invariant theory and the coefficient algebras of finite-dimensional complex Lie algebras on some representations. Specifically, we prove that with respect to any symmetric power of the standard representation: (a) the coefficient algebra of the upper triangular solvable complex Lie algebra is isomorphic to the ring of symmetric polynomials; (b) the coefficient algebra of the general linear complex Lie algebra is isomorphic to the invariant ring of the general linear group with the conjugacy action on the full space of matrices; and (c) the coefficient algebra of the special linear complex Lie algebra can be generated by classical trace functions. As an application, we determine the characteristic polynomial of the special linear complex Lie algebra on its standard representation.

Deformations of left-symmetric color algebras

We develop a deformation theory for finite-dimensional left-symmetric color algebras, which can be used to construct new algebraic structures and interpret left-symmetric color cohomology spaces of lower degrees. We explore equivalence classes and extendability of deformations for a fixed left-symmetric color algebra, demonstrating that each infinitesimal deformation is nontrivially extendable if the third cohomology subspace of degree zero is trivial. We also study Nijenhuis operators and Rota-Baxter operators on a left-symmetric color algebra, providing a better understanding of the equivalence class of the trivial infinitesimal deformation.

An invariant-theoretic approach to three weight enumerators of self-dual quantum codes

This article is a continuation of our recent work (Yin Chen and Runxuan Zhang, Shape enumerators of self-dual NRT codes over finite fields. SIAM J. Discrete Math. 38 (2024), no. 4, 2841-2854) in the setting of quantum error-correcting codes. We use algebraic invariant theory to study three weight enumerators of formally self-dual quantum codes over arbitrary finite fields. We derive a quantum analogue of Gleason's theorem, demonstrating that the weight enumerator of a formally self-dual quantum code can be expressed algebraically by two polynomials. We also show that the double weight enumerator of a formally self-dual quantum code can be expressed algebraically by five polynomials. We explicitly compute the complete weight enumerators of some special self-dual quantum codes. Our approach illustrates the potential of employing algebraic invariant theory to compute weight enumerators of self-dual quantum codes.

Cohomology of left-symmetric color algebras

We develop a new cohomology theory for finite-dimensional left-symmetric color algebras and their finite-dimensional bimodules, establishing a connection between Lie color cohomology and left-symmetric color cohomology. We prove that the cohomology of a left-symmetric color algebra $A$ with coefficients in a bimodule $V$ can be computed by a lower degree cohomology of the corresponding Lie color algebra with coefficients in Hom$(A,V)$, generalizing a result of Dzhumadil'daev in right-symmetric cohomology. We also explore the varieties of two-dimensional and three-dimensional left-symmetric color algebras.

Skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation and $\mathcal{O}$-operators of Malcev algebras

We study connections between skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE) and $\mathcal{O}$-operators of Malcev algebras. We prove that a skew-symmetric solution of the CYBE on a Malcev algebra can be interpreted as an $\mathcal{O}$-operator associated to the coadjoint representation. We show that this connection can be enhanced with symplectic forms when considering non-degenerate skew-symmetric solutions. We also show that $\mathcal{O}$-operators associated to a general representation could give skew-symmetric solutions of the CYBE on certain semi-direct products of Malcev algebras. We reveal the relationship between invertible $\mathcal{O}$-operators and compatible pre-Malcev algebra structures on a Malcev algebra. We finally obtain several analogous results on connections between the CYBE and $\mathcal{O}$-operators in the case of pre-Malcev algebras.

Shape enumerators of self-dual NRT codes over finite fields

We use invariant theory of finite groups to study shape enumerators of self-dual linear codes in a finite NRT metric space. We provide a new approach that avoids applying Molien's formula to compute all possible shape enumerators. We also explicitly compute the shape enumerators of some low-dimensional self-dual NRT codes over an arbitrary finite field.

Parity duality of super $r$-matrices via $\mathcal O$-operators and pre-Lie superalgebras

This paper studies super $r$-matrices and operator forms of the super classical Yang-Baxter equation. First by a unified treatment, the classical correspondence between $r$-matrices and $\mathcal{O}$-operators is generalized to a correspondence between homogeneous super $r$-matrices and homogeneous $\mathcal{O}$-operators. Next, by a parity reverse of Lie superalgebra representations, a duality is established between the even and the odd $\mathcal{O}$-operators, giving rise to a parity duality among the induced super $r$-matrices. Thus any homogeneous $\OO$-operator or any homogeneous super $r$-matrix with certain supersymmetry produces a parity pair of super $r$-matrices, and generates an infinite tree hierarchy of homogeneous super $r$-matrices. Finally, a pre-Lie superalgebra naturally defines a parity pair of $\mathcal{O}$-operators, and thus a parity pair of super $r$-matrices.

Kupershmidt-Nijenhuis structures on pre-Malcev algebras

We study Kupershmidt operators, Nijenhuis operators, and Kupershmidt-Nijenhuis structures on finite-dimensional pre-Malcev algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We construct several new families of complex pre-Malcev algebras that are not pre-Lie algebras in dimensions two, three and four. We use the compatibility of linear operators to establish connections between Kupershmidt operators, Nijenhuis operators, and Kupershmidt-Nijenhuis structures on pre-Malcev algebras. Moreover, we use a method from computational ideal theory to characterize the geometric structures of the varieties of Kupershmidt operators and Nijenhuis operators on a three-dimensional complex pre-Malcev algebra.

Left-symmetric Superalgebras on Special Linear Lie Superalgebras

In this paper, we study the existence and classification problems of left-symmetric superalgebras on special linear Lie superalgebras ${\mathfrak{sl}}(m|n)$ with $m\neq n$. The main three results of this paper are: (i) a complete classification of the left-symmetric superalgebras on ${\mathfrak{sl}}(2|1)$, (ii) ${\mathfrak{sl}}(m|1)$ does not admit left-symmetric superalgebras for $m \geq 3$, and (iii) ${\mathfrak{sl}}(m+1|m)$ admits a left-symmetric superalgebra for every $m \geq 1$. To prove these results we combine existing results on the existence and classification of left-symmetric algebras on the Lie algebras ${\mathfrak{gl}}_m$ with a detailed analysis of small representations of the Lie superalgebras ${\mathfrak{sl}}(m|1)$. We also conjecture that ${\mathfrak{sl}}(m|n)$ admits left-symmetric superalgebras if and only if $m = n+1$.

Poisson Yang-Baxter equations and $\mathcal{O}$-operators of Poisson superalgebras

We investigate connections between $\mathcal {O}$-operators of Poisson superalgebras and skew-symmetric solutions of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation (PYBE). We prove that a skew-symmetric solution of the PYBE on a Poisson superalgebra can be interpreted as an $\mathcal {O}$-operator associated to the co-regular representation. We show that this connection can be enhanced with symplectic forms when considering non-degenerate skew-symmetric solutions. We also show that $\mathcal {O}$-operators associated to a general representation could give skew-symmetric solutions of the PYBE in certain semi-direct product of Poisson superalgebras.

A generalization on derivations of Lie algebras

We initiate a study on a range of new generalized derivations of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. This new generalization of derivations has an analogue in the theory of associative prime rings and unites many well-known generalized derivations that have already appeared extensively in the study of Lie algebras and other nonassociative algebras. After exploiting fundamental properties, we introduce and analyze their interiors, especially focusing on the rationality of the corresponding Hilbert series. Applying techniques in computational ideal theory we develop an approach to explicitly compute these new generalized derivations for the three-dimensional special linear Lie algebra over the complex field.

Representations of $\omega$-Lie Algebras and Tailed Derivations of Lie Algebras

We study the representation theory of finite-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras over the complex field. We derive an $\omega$-Lie version of the classical Lie's theorem, i.e., any finite-dimensional irreducible module of a soluble $\omega$-Lie algebra is one-dimensional. We also prove that indecomposable modules of some three-dimensional $\omega$-Lie algebras could be parametrized by the complex field and nilpotent matrices. We introduce the notion of a tailed derivation of a nonassociative algebra $g$ and prove that if $g$ is a Lie algebra, then there exists a one-to-one correspondence between tailed derivations of $g$ and one-dimensional $\omega$-extensions of $g$.

A commutative algebra approach to multiplicative Hom-Lie algebras

Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a finite-dimensional complex Lie algebra and $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{g})$ be the affine variety of all multiplicative Hom-Lie algebras on $\mathfrak{g}$. We use a method of computational ideal theory to describe $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{gl}_{n}(\mathbb{C}))$, showing that $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{gl}_{2}(\mathbb{C}))$ consists of two 1-dimensional and one 3-dimensional irreducible components, and showing that $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{gl}_{n}(\mathbb{C}))=\{\textrm{diag}\{\delta,\dots,\delta,a\}\mid \delta=1\textrm{ or }0,a\in\mathbb{C}\}$ for $n\geqslant 3$. We construct a new family of multiplicative Hom-Lie algebras on the Heisenberg Lie algebra $\mathfrak{h}_{2n+1}(\mathbb{C})$ and characterize the affine varieties $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{u}_{2}(\mathbb{C}))$ and $\textrm{HLie}_{m}(\mathfrak{u}_{3}(\mathbb{C}))$. We also study the derivation algebra $\textrm{Der}_{D}(\mathfrak{g})$ of a multiplicative Hom-Lie algebra $D$ on $\mathfrak{g}$ and under some hypotheses on $D$, we prove that the Hilbert series $\mathcal{H}(\textrm{Der}_{D}(\mathfrak{g}),t)$ is a rational function.

Derivations, Automorphisms, and Representations of Complex $\omega$-Lie Algebras

Let $(\mathfrak{g},\omega)$ be a finite-dimensional non-Lie complex $\omega$-Lie algebra. We study the derivation algebra $Der(\mathfrak{g})$ and the automorphism group $Aut(\mathfrak{g})$ of $(\mathfrak{g},\omega)$. We introduce the notions of $\omega$-derivations and $\omega$-automorphisms of $(\mathfrak{g},\omega)$ which naturally preserve the bilinear form $\omega$. We show that the set $Der_{\omega}(\mathfrak{g})$ of all $\omega$-derivations is a Lie subalgebra of $Der(\mathfrak{g})$ and the set $Aut_{\omega}(\mathfrak{g})$ of all $\omega$-automorphisms is a subgroup of $Aut(\mathfrak{g})$. For any 3-dimensional and 4-dimensional nontrivial $\omega$-Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, we compute $Der(\mathfrak{g})$ and $Aut(\mathfrak{g})$ explicitly, and study some Lie group properties of $Aut(\mathfrak{g})$. We also study representation theory of $\omega$-Lie algebras. We show that all 3-dimensional nontrivial $\omega$-Lie algebras are multiplicative, as well as we provide a 4-dimensional example of $\omega$-Lie algebra that is not multiplicative. Finally, we show that any irreducible representation of the simple $\omega$-Lie algebra $C_{\alpha}(\alpha\neq 0,-1)$ is 1-dimensional.
