Decoupling Spherical Reasoning from Dense Prediction for 360 Depth Estimation

The equirectangular projection (ERP) is widely used for panoramic depth estimation, but its spatially varying distortion makes geometry-consistent feature modeling challenging. We revisit panoramic depth estimation by decoupling contextual modeling in native spherical space from dense ERP prediction. To this end, we propose a Fibonacci Spherical Graph (FSG) as an intermediate reasoning space to lift ERP features onto quasi-uniform Fibonacci nodes on the sphere and capture local and long-range dependencies through complementary spherical neighborhoods. The resulting spherical discretization distributes graph nodes approximately uniformly over the spherical surface, reducing the over-representation of highly stretched regions during relational modeling. Operating on a compact set of Fibonacci nodes also avoids the computational burden of constructing and processing a graph at full ERP resolution. To bridge spherical reasoning and dense prediction, we propose a Spherical Context Conditioning (SCC) module that adaptively modulates dense ERP features with the enhanced spherical representation, allowing spherical context to guide pixel-aligned depth prediction. Extensive experiments on three benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed method consistently achieves superior depth accuracy over existing approaches.

Harmony in Diversity: Multi-domain Contrastive Policy Optimization for Large Reasoning Models

Post-training via Reinforcement Learning (RL) has enabled Large Reasoning Models (LRMs) to achieve strong performance in individual domain. However, real-world applications increasingly require general-purpose reasoners rendering strong performance across diverse domains. Mixed-domain post-training aims to achieve this goal by jointly training with mixed domain data, but this often induces capability compromise and degradation among different domains. Existing methods attribute this performance degradation to harmful cross-domain interactions and propose various strategies to mitigate them, but these strategies may also impede beneficial knowledge sharing across domains and in turn fail to match or surpass single-domain performance. To address this problem, we propose \textbf{M}ulti-domain \textbf{C}ontrastive \textbf{P}olicy \textbf{O}ptimization (MCPO), which uses contrastive learning to utilize both positive and negative cross-domain interactions for knowledge sharing and competition. Specifically, we partition each rollout generated by LRMs according to its underlying reasoning structures and use reasoning segments to capture these structures. We thus formulate positive and negative pairs of reasoning segments as mutually augmented examples, which provide supportive and competing signals for knowledge sharing. Subsequently, we design complementary contrastive objectives for cross-domain knowledge sharing and intra-domain knowledge consolidation, targeting compatibility across domains and discriminability within each domain to form a harmonious reasoning space. Experimental results across a broad range of domains show that MCPO alleviates performance degradation caused by mixed-domain training and outperforms single-domain training in most cases.

P$^3$-SAM: SAM with Perceptual Parallel Prompt for Few-Shot Strip Steel Surface Defect Segmentation

Few-shot semantic segmentation (FSS) of strip steel surface defects (S$^3$D) has posed significant challenges distinct from natural scenes. Unlike natural images, S$^3$D task exhibits unique characteristics including low local contrast, uneven illumination, and complex fine-grained texture patterns. Although recent methods based on Segment Anything Model (SAM) have shown promise in FSS on natural images by leveraging SAM's powerful pre-trained representations, these unique industrial characteristics of S$^3$D images lead to performance drop when directly applying SAM to industrial defect scenarios. In this paper, we propose a novel Perceptual Parallel Prompt (P$^3$) framework that empowers SAM, creating the P$^3$-SAM model to address these challenges through two core strategies. First, we develop a Perceptual-Optimized Encoding (POE) strategy that enhances local contrast and preserves critical texture details for S$^3$D segmentation. Second, we introduce the Parallel Prompt Generator (PPG) strategy that simultaneously generates both semantic and spatial prompts, enabling comprehensive guidance for SAM's decoder across varying images. Extensive experiments on three few-shot S$^3$D benchmarks demonstrate that P$^3$-SAM achieves state-of-the-art performance, with particularly notable improvements of 12.00% in mIoU on Surface Defects-4i dataset.

SphereSOD: Geometry-Structure Coupled Learning for 360 Salient Object Detection

360° salient object detection (SOD) aims to accurately segment salient regions across a full field of view. However, equirectangular projection (ERP) introduces severe spatial distortion when mapping the spherical domain onto a planar representation. Existing methods mainly focus on compensating projection distortion while overlooking the interaction between panoramic geometry and salient object structure during feature perception and prediction refinement. To this end, we propose SphereSOD, an ERP-native framework that couples panoramic geometry with evolving salient structures. Specifically, spherical geometry governs feature sampling and spatial weighting, while coarse-grained saliency and contour prediction influence context aggregation during the progressive decoding process. SphereSOD first initializes deformable sampling based on spherical projection geometry and then employs bounded, content-adaptive offsets, yielding features that are better aligned with the underlying panoramic geometry. Subsequently, the decoder performs structure-guided context aggregation and progressive refinement to recover complete salient regions and accurate boundaries. Extensive experiments on three public 360° SOD benchmarks demonstrate state-of-the-art performance and a favorable accuracy-efficiency trade-off, supporting structurepreserving inference directly in ERP space as a promising alternative to projection-heavy panoramic pipelines.

ICME 2026 Grand Challenge on Cross-Scenario Defect Detection and Fine-Grained Severity Grading for High-Precision Manufacturing

This paper presents the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME) 2026 Grand Challenge on Cross-Scenario Defect Detection and Fine-Grained Severity Grading for High-Precision Manufacturing. The challenge is motivated by two key limitations of existing industrial defect inspection systems: (1) current deep learning-based methods often suffer significant performance degradation when deployed in unseen production scenarios, and (2) most benchmarks neglect severity-aware assessment, which is critical for risk control and yield optimization. To address these limitations, we design two complementary tracks: Track 1 (Cross-Scenario Defect Detection) targets accurate defect detection, localization, and classification across diverse unseen production environments; Track 2 (Fine-Grained Severity Grading) requires assigning each detected defect an industry-standard severity level, including Acceptable, Marginal NG, NG, and Gross NG. We construct a large-scale industrial dataset of high-resolution microscopic images spanning seven representative defect categories, comprising over 3,800 images with pixel-level instance annotations for Track 1 and over 2,600 images with severity-grade labels for Track 2. The challenge attracted 86 registered participants with 130 submissions; during the final testing phase, 21 teams submitted results and 12 teams provided models with technical reports. The resulting benchmark, together with the diverse and effective solutions contributed by participating teams, sets a new standard for industrial defect analysis research.

IPDiff: Diffusion-driven ORSI Salient Object Detection with Information Reconstruction and Multi-Prior Guidance

Existing Salient Object Detection in Optical Remote Sensing Image (ORSI-SOD) methods mainly adopt the static inference strategy, which uses fixed trained model parameters for saliency inference in the testing phase. This means that even if the generated saliency map has errors, it cannot be further optimized. In this paper, we propose the novel IPDiff, a Diffusion-driven ORSI-SOD method with Information Reconstruction and Multi-Prior Guidance. We build IPDiff based on a unique dynamic optimization strategy, which endows IPDiff with the ability to iteratively optimize saliency maps with a dynamic parameter. Specifically, we formulate ORSI-SOD as a conditional diffusion problem in IPDiff. IPDiff first extracts informative conditional priors from ORSIs, including the saliency prior and the hierarchical priors, in the prior network with the assistance of the information reconstruction-driven attention module. The saliency prior can provide positional information of salient objects, while the hierarchical priors can provide specific detail and semantic information of salient objects. Under the guidance of these priors, IPDiff then iteratively denoises random noise as the timestep dynamically changes in the denoising network, generating saliency maps that are close to ground truths. Notably, we simultaneously supervise IPDiff in both spatial and spectral domains through a hybrid loss function to achieve efficient network training. Comprehensive experiments on public ORSSD, EORSSD, and ORSI-4199 datasets demonstrate that our proposed IPDiff achieves the best performance compared to 46 state-of-the-art methods. Rethinking Conditional Generation for Underwater Salient Object Detection

Salient Object Detection in underwater images remains challenging due to low contrast, uneven illumination, and color distortion caused by scattering and absorption effects, which limit the effectiveness of conventional SOD methods in underwater environments. To address these challenges, we propose a Degradation-aware Conditional Generation Network (DCGNet), specifically designed to construct reliable conditional features for underwater saliency generation. First, we design a Dynamic Multi-Granularity module (DMG) grounded in the human visual system to robustly detect salient objects of varying scales with blurred boundaries. Then, we develop an Underwater Physics-Prior module (UPP), which utilizes pseudo-depth guidance to estimate underwater light attenuation and backscatter, thereby restoring degradation-aware RGB features and mitigating color distortion and boundary ambiguity. Based on the physics-guided representation, we introduce an Underwater Spatial Gaussian module (USG), which constructs a spatial Gaussian saliency prior from the strongest guided response to enhance object-centered salient regions and suppress cluttered underwater backgrounds. In addition, a lightweight timestep-adaptive Diffusion Transformer (DiT) bottleneck is inserted into the denoising decoder to refine fused features at different diffusion timesteps. Comprehensive experiments on USOD10K, USOD, CSOD10K, MAS3K, and RMAS demonstrate that DCGNet significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods, verifying its potential for complex underwater visual applications.

Unleashing Correlation and Continuity for Hyperspectral Reconstruction from RGB Images

Reconstructing Hyperspectral Images (HSI) from RGB images can yield high spatial resolution HSI at a lower cost, demonstrating significant application potential. This paper reveals that local correlation and global continuity of the spectral characteristics are crucial for HSI reconstruction tasks. Therefore, we fully explore these inter-spectral relationships and propose a Correlation and Continuity Network (CCNet) for HSI reconstruction from RGB images. For the correlation of local spectrum, we introduce the Group-wise Spectral Correlation Modeling (GrSCM) module, which efficiently establishes spectral band similarity within a localized range. For the continuity of global spectrum, we design the Neighborhood-wise Spectral Continuity Modeling (NeSCM) module, which employs memory units to recursively model the progressive variation characteristics at the global level. In order to explore the inherent complementarity of these two modules, we design the Patch-wise Adaptive Fusion (PAF) module to efficiently integrate global continuity features into the spectral features in a patch-wise adaptive manner. These innovations enhance the quality of reconstructed HSI. We perform comprehensive comparison and ablation experiments on the mainstream datasets NTIRE2022 and NTIRE2020 for the spectral reconstruction task. Compared to the current advanced spectral reconstruction algorithms, our designed algorithm achieves State-Of-The-Art (SOTA) performance.

TCAP: Tri-Component Attention Profiling for Unsupervised Backdoor Detection in MLLM Fine-Tuning

Fine-Tuning-as-a-Service (FTaaS) facilitates the customization of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) but introduces critical backdoor risks via poisoned data. Existing defenses either rely on supervised signals or fail to generalize across diverse trigger types and modalities. In this work, we uncover a universal backdoor fingerprint-attention allocation divergence-where poisoned samples disrupt the balanced attention distribution across three functional components: system instructions, vision inputs, and user textual queries, regardless of trigger morphology. Motivated by this insight, we propose Tri-Component Attention Profiling (TCAP), an unsupervised defense framework to filter backdoor samples. TCAP decomposes cross-modal attention maps into the three components, identifies trigger-responsive attention heads via Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) statistical profiling, and isolates poisoned samples through EM-based vote aggregation. Extensive experiments across diverse MLLM architectures and attack methods demonstrate that TCAP achieves consistently strong performance, establishing it as a robust and practical backdoor defense in MLLMs.

Taming Real-World Space-Time Video Super-Resolution with One-Step Diffusion

Diffusion models have demonstrated exceptional success in video super-resolution (VSR), exhibiting powerful capabilities for generating fine-grained details. However, their potential for space-time video super-resolution (STVSR), which necessitates not only recovering realistic high-resolution visual content but also improving the frame rate with coherent temporal dynamics, remains largely underexplored. Moreover, existing STVSR methods predominantly address spatiotemporal upsampling under simple degradation assumptions, thus failing in real-world scenarios with complex unknown degradations. To address these challenges, we propose OSDEnhancer, the first framework that achieves robust STVSR in one-step diffusion. OSDEnhancer begins with a linear initialization to establish essential spatiotemporal structures and adapt the model for one-step reconstruction. It then applies a divide-and-conquer strategy, introducing the temporal coherence (TC) and texture enrichment (TE) LoRAs that progressively specialize in inter-frame dynamics modeling and fine-grained texture recovery, respectively, while collaborating during inference for enhanced overall performance. A bidirectional VAE decoder employs deformable recurrent blocks to leverage the multi-scale structure of the vanilla VAE, enhancing latent-to-pixel reconstruction through joint multi-scale deformable aggregation and inter-frame feature propagation. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method attains state-of-the-art performance with superior generalization in real-world scenarios. The code is available at https://github.com/W-Shuoyan/OSDEnhancer.

M$^4$-SAM: Multi-Modal Mixture-of-Experts with Memory-Augmented SAM for RGB-D Video Salient Object Detection

The Segment Anything Model 2 (SAM2) has emerged as a foundation model for universal segmentation. Owing to its generalizable visual representations, SAM2 has been successfully applied to various downstream tasks. However, extending SAM2 to the RGB-D video salient object detection (RGB-D VSOD) task encounters three challenges including limited spatial modeling of linear LoRA, insufficient employment of SAM's multi-scale features, and dependence of initialization on explicit prompts. To address the issues, we present Multi-Modal Mixture-of-Experts with Memory-Augmented SAM (M$^4$-SAM), which equips SAM2 with modality-related PEFT, hierarchical feature fusion, and prompt-free memory initialization. Firstly, we inject Modality-Aware MoE-LORA, which employs convolutional experts to encode local spatial priors and introduces a modality dispatcher for efficient multi-modal fine-tuning, into SAM2's encoder. Secondly, we deploy Gated Multi-Level Feature Fusion, which hierarchically aggregates multi-scale encoder features with an adaptive gating mechanism, to balance spatial details and semantic context. Finally, to conduct zero-shot VSOD without manual prompts, we utilize a Pseudo-Guided Initialization, where a coarse mask is regarded as a pseudo prior and used to bootstrap the memory bank. Extensive experiments demonstrate that M$^4$-SAM achieves the state-of-the-art performance across all evaluation metrics on three public RGB-D VSOD datasets.

GA2-CLIP: Generic Attribute Anchor for Efficient Prompt Tuningin Video-Language Models

Visual and textual soft prompt tuning can effectively improve the adaptability of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) in downstream tasks. However, fine-tuning on video tasks impairs the model's generalization ability to unseen classes. Existing methods attempt to mitigate this forgetting effect by regularizing the gap between hand-crafted prompts and soft prompts, but this also weakens the learning ability of soft prompts. To address this challenge, we propose a plug-and-play coupling prompt learning framework to optimize the generalization performance of V-L models in video tasks, with the core motivation of mitigating semantic space narrowing during fine-tuning by introducing an externally supervised prompt. Specifically, for textual prompts, we introduce pre-trained prompts from other datasets as hard prompt tokens. These are concatenated with soft prompt tokens and coupled via a learnable mapping layer. This competitive prompting approach prevents the semantic space from overfitting to supervised categories. In addition, we introduce a set of well-designed irrelevant video sets and negative prompts as generic attribute anchors to maintain the generic relevance of the attributes in the pre-trained semantic space, thus preserving the generalization ability. Experiments on video tasks demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms state-of-the-art prompt tuning approaches across generalization benchmarks, particularly on base-to-new class prediction.

DecoVLN: Decoupling Observation, Reasoning, and Correction for Vision-and-Language Navigation

Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) requires agents to follow long-horizon instructions and navigate complex 3D environments. However, existing approaches face two major challenges: constructing an effective long-term memory bank and overcoming the compounding errors problem. To address these issues, we propose DecoVLN, an effective framework designed for robust streaming perception and closed-loop control in long-horizon navigation. First, we formulate long-term memory construction as an optimization problem and introduce adaptive refinement mechanism that selects frames from a historical candidate pool by iteratively optimizing a unified scoring function. This function jointly balances three key criteria: semantic relevance to the instruction, visual diversity from the selected memory, and temporal coverage of the historical trajectory. Second, to alleviate compounding errors, we introduce a state-action pair-level corrective finetuning strategy. By leveraging geodesic distance between states to precisely quantify deviation from the expert trajectory, the agent collects high-quality state-action pairs in the trusted region while filtering out the polluted data with low relevance. This improves both the efficiency and stability of error correction. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of DecoVLN, and we have deployed it in real-world environments.

G2HFNet: GeoGran-Aware Hierarchical Feature Fusion Network for Salient Object Detection in Optical Remote Sensing Images

Remote sensing images captured from aerial perspectives often exhibit significant scale variations and complex backgrounds, posing challenges for salient object detection (SOD). Existing methods typically extract multi-level features at a single scale using uniform attention mechanisms, leading to suboptimal representations and incomplete detection results. To address these issues, we propose a GeoGran-Aware Hierarchical Feature Fusion Network (G2HFNet) that fully exploits geometric and granular cues in optical remote sensing images. Specifically, G2HFNet adopts Swin Transformer as the backbone to extract multi-level features and integrates three key modules: the multi-scale detail enhancement (MDE) module to handle object scale variations and enrich fine details, the dual-branch geo-gran complementary (DGC) module to jointly capture fine-grained details and positional information in mid-level features, and the deep semantic perception (DSP) module to refine high-level positional cues via self-attention. Additionally, a local-global guidance fusion (LGF) module is introduced to replace traditional convolutions for effective multi-level feature integration. Extensive experiments demonstrate that G2HFNet achieves high-quality saliency maps and significantly improves detection performance in challenging remote sensing scenarios.

Mastering Negation: Boosting Grounding Models via Grouped Opposition-Based Learning

Current vision-language detection and grounding models predominantly focus on prompts with positive semantics and often struggle to accurately interpret and ground complex expressions containing negative semantics. A key reason for this limitation is the lack of high-quality training data that explicitly captures discriminative negative samples and negation-aware language descriptions. To address this challenge, we introduce D-Negation, a new dataset that provides objects annotated with both positive and negative semantic descriptions. Building upon the observation that negation reasoning frequently appears in natural language, we further propose a grouped opposition-based learning framework that learns negation-aware representations from limited samples. Specifically, our method organizes opposing semantic descriptions from D-Negation into structured groups and formulates two complementary loss functions that encourage the model to reason about negation and semantic qualifiers. We integrate the proposed dataset and learning strategy into a state-of-the-art language-based grounding model. By fine-tuning fewer than 10 percent of the model parameters, our approach achieves improvements of up to 4.4 mAP and 5.7 mAP on positive and negative semantic evaluations, respectively. These results demonstrate that explicitly modeling negation semantics can substantially enhance the robustness and localization accuracy of vision-language grounding models.

RSONet: Region-guided Selective Optimization Network for RGB-T Salient Object Detection

This paper focuses on the inconsistency in salient regions between RGB and thermal images. To address this issue, we propose the Region-guided Selective Optimization Network for RGB-T Salient Object Detection, which consists of the region guidance stage and saliency generation stage. In the region guidance stage, three parallel branches with same encoder-decoder structure equipped with the context interaction (CI) module and spatial-aware fusion (SF) module are designed to generate the guidance maps which are leveraged to calculate similarity scores. Then, in the saliency generation stage, the selective optimization (SO) module fuses RGB and thermal features based on the previously obtained similarity values to mitigate the impact of inconsistent distribution of salient targets between the two modalities. After that, to generate high-quality detection result, the dense detail enhancement (DDE) module which adopts the multiple dense connections and visual state space blocks is applied to low-level features for optimizing the detail information. In addition, the mutual interaction semantic (MIS) module is placed in the high-level features to dig the location cues by the mutual fusion strategy. We conduct extensive experiments on the RGB-T dataset, and the results demonstrate that the proposed RSONet achieves competitive performance against 27 state-of-the-art SOD methods.

RDNet: Region Proportion-Aware Dynamic Adaptive Salient Object Detection Network in Optical Remote Sensing Images

Salient object detection (SOD) in remote sensing images faces significant challenges due to large variations in object sizes, the computational cost of self-attention mechanisms, and the limitations of CNN-based extractors in capturing global context and long-range dependencies. Existing methods that rely on fixed convolution kernels often struggle to adapt to diverse object scales, leading to detail loss or irrelevant feature aggregation. To address these issues, this work aims to enhance robustness to scale variations and achieve precise object localization. We propose the Region Proportion-Aware Dynamic Adaptive Salient Object Detection Network (RDNet), which replaces the CNN backbone with the SwinTransformer for global context modeling and introduces three key modules: (1) the Dynamic Adaptive Detail-aware (DAD) module, which applies varied convolution kernels guided by object region proportions; (2) the Frequency-matching Context Enhancement (FCE) module, which enriches contextual information through wavelet interactions and attention; and (3) the Region Proportion-aware Localization (RPL) module, which employs cross-attention to highlight semantic details and integrates a Proportion Guidance (PG) block to assist the DAD module. By combining these modules, RDNet achieves robustness against scale variations and accurate localization, delivering superior detection performance compared with state-of-the-art methods.

Beyond Global Scanning: Adaptive Visual State Space Modeling for Salient Object Detection in Optical Remote Sensing Images

Salient object detection (SOD) in optical remote sensing images (ORSIs) faces numerous challenges, including significant variations in target scales and low contrast between targets and the background. Existing methods based on vision transformers (ViTs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) architectures aim to leverage both global and local features, but the difficulty in effectively integrating these heterogeneous features limits their overall performance. To overcome these limitations, we propose an adaptive state space context network (ASCNet), which builds upon the state space model mechanism to simultaneously capture long-range dependencies and enhance regional feature representation. Specifically, we employ the visual state space encoder to extract multi-scale features. To further achieve deep guidance and enhancement of these features, we design a Multi-Level Context Module (MLCM), which module strengthens cross-layer interaction capabilities between features of different scales while enhancing the model's structural perception, allowing it to distinguish between foreground and background more effectively. Then, we design the Adaptive Patchwise Visual State Space (APVSS) block as the decoder of ASCNet, which integrates our proposed Dynamic Adaptive Granularity Scan (DAGS) and Granularity-aware Propagation Module (GPM). It performs adaptive patch scanning on feature maps enhanced by local perception, thereby capturing rich local region information and enhancing state space model's local modeling capability. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves state-of-the-art performance, validating its effectiveness and superiority.
