On a Potential Game-theoretic Approach to Event-triggered Distributed Resource Allocation

This paper proposes a potential game theoretic approach to address event-triggered distributed resource allocation in multi-agent systems. The fitness dynamic of the population is proposed and exploited as a linear parametervarying dynamic to achieve the event-triggered distributed resource allocation. Firstly, it is shown that the dynamic resembles a consensus protocol and is equivalent to the replicator dynamic. Further, conditions ensuring a minimum time bound on the inter-sampling intervals to avoid Zeno-behavior have been derived. An economic dispatch problem is presented to illustrate the theoretical results.

Primal-Dual Gradient Flow Algorithm for Distributed Support Vector Machines

In this paper, a primal-dual gradient flow algorithm for distributed support vector machines (DSVM) is proposed. A network of computing nodes, each carrying a subset of horizontally partitioned large dataset is considered. The nodes are represented as dynamical systems with Arrow-Hurwicz-Uzawa gradient flow dynamics, derived from the Lagrangian function of the DSVM problem. It is first proved that the nodes are passive dynamical systems. Then, by employing the Krasovskii type candidate Lyapunov functions, it is proved that the computing nodes asymptotically converge to the optimal primal-dual solution.

A Graph-Theoretic Analysis of Distributed Replicator Dynamic

This paper attempts to develop a graph-theoretic multi-agent perspective of population games to study the \quotes{truncation} behavior. The proposed method considers fitness of the population as a dynamical system to address the issue of restrictive description of this behavior which pertains to the underlying population dynamic. The fitness dynamic resembles an agreement protocol that enables comments on the steady-state characteristics of the graph that represents the population structure. The structural attributes of the underlying graph and the truncation behavior are emphasized by exploiting the spectral properties of the associated Laplacian matrix. The asymptotic stability of the fitness agreement protocol has been shown to be sufficient in concluding the stability of population dynamics. Simulation results validating the proposed hypothesis have been discussed.

Complex Laplacian based Distributed Control for Multi-Agent Network

The work done in this paper, proposes a complex Laplacian-based distributed control scheme for convergence in the multi-agent network. The proposed scheme has been designated as cascade formulation. The proposed technique exploits the traditional method of organizing large scattered networks into smaller interconnected clusters to optimize information flow within the network. The complex Laplacian-based approach results in a hierarchical structure, with formation of a meta-cluster leading other clusters in the network. The proposed formulation enables flexibility to constrain the eigen spectra of the overall closed-loop dynamics, ensuring desired convergence rate and control input intensity. The sufficient conditions ensuring globally stable formation for proposed formulation are also asserted. Robustness of the proposed formulation to uncertainties like loss in communication links and actuator failure has also been discussed. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated by simulating a finitely large network of thirty vehicles.
