We establish the analogue of the Cayley--Hamilton theorem for the quantum matrix algebras of the symplectic type.
We construct a normal form for the walled Brauer algebra, together with the reduction algorithm. We apply normal form to calculate the numbers of monomials in generators with minimal length. We further utilize normal form to give explicit expressions for a generating set and annihilator ideal of a particular cyclic vector in a cell module.
We establish two versions of the fusion procedure for the walled Brauer algebras. In each of them, a complete system of primitive pairwise orthogonal idempotents for the walled Hecke algebra is constructed by consecutive evaluations of a rational function in several variables on contents of standard walled tableaux.
Analogues of 1-shuffle elements for complex reflection groups of type $G(m,1,n)$ are introduced. A geometric interpretation for $G(m,1,n)$ in terms of rotational permutations of polygonal cards is given. We compute the eigenvalues, and their multiplicities, of the 1-shuffle element in the algebra of the group $G(m,1,n)$. Considering shuffling as a random walk on the group $G(m,1,n)$, we estimate the rate of convergence to randomness of the corresponding Markov chain. We report on the spectrum of the 1-shuffle analogue in the cyclotomic Hecke algebra $H(m,1,n)$ for $m=2$ and small $n$.
We study properties and constructions of contravariant forms on reduction algebras. As an application we compute norms of highest weight vectors in the tensor product of an irreducible finite dimensional representation of the Lie algebra gl(n) with a symmetric or wedge tensor power of its fundamental representation. Their zeroes describe Pieri rules.
We describe the center of the ring $\Diff(n)$ of $\h$-deformed differential operators of type A. We establish an isomorphism between certain localizations of $\Diff(n)$ and the Weyl algebra $\text{W}_n$ extended by $n$ indeterminates.
We describe the diagonal reduction algebra D(gl(n)) of the Lie algebra gl(n) in the R-matrix formalism. As a byproduct we present two families of central elements and the braided bialgebra structure of D(gl(n)).
The Cayley--Hamilton--Newton theorem for half-quantum matrices is proven.
We establish the absence of zero divisors in the reduction algebra of a Lie algebra g with respect to its reductive Lie sub-algebra k. The class of reduction algebras include the Lie algebras (they arise when k is trivial) and the Gelfand--Kirillov conjecture extends naturally to the reduction algebras. We formulate the conjecture for the diagonal reduction algebras of sl type and verify it on a simplest example.
We describe, in terms of generators and relations, the reduction algebra, related to the diagonal embedding of the Lie algebra $\gl_n$ into $\gl_n\oplus\gl_n$. Its representation theory is related to the theory of decompositions of tensor products of $\gl_n$-modules.
We review some facts about the representation theory of the Hecke algebra. We adapt for the Hecke algebra case the approach of Okounkov and Vershik which was developed for the representation theory of symmetric groups. We justify an explicit construction of the idempotents in the Hecke algebra in terms of Jucys-Murphy elements. Ocneanu's traces for these idempotents (which can be interpreted as q-dimensions of corresponding irreducible representations of quantum linear groups) are presented.
We replace the ice Ansatz on matrix solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation by a weaker condition which we call "rime". Rime solutions include the standard Drinfeld-Jimbo R-matrix. Solutions of the Yang--Baxter equation within the rime Ansatz which are maximally different from the standard one we call "strict rime". A strict rime non-unitary solution is parameterized by a projective vector. We show that this solution transforms to the Cremmer-Gervais R-matrix by a change of basis with a matrix containing symmetric functions in the components of the parameterizing vector. A strict unitary solution (the rime Ansatz is well adapted for taking a unitary limit) is shown to be equivalent to a quantization of a classical "boundary" r-matrix of Gerstenhaber and Giaquinto. We analyze the structure of the elementary rime blocks and find, as a by-product, that all non-standard R-matrices of GL(1|1)-type can be uniformly described in a rime form. We discuss then connections of the classical rime solutions with the Bezout operators. The Bezout operators satisfy the (non-)homogeneous associative classical Yang--Baxter equation which is related to the Rota-Baxter operators. We classify the rime Poisson brackets: they form a 3-dimensional pencil. A normal form of each individual member of the pencil depends on the discriminant of a certain quadratic polynomial. We also classify orderable quadratic rime associative algebras. For the standard Drinfeld-Jimbo solution, there is a choice of the multiparameters, for which it can be non-trivially rimed. However, not every Belavin-Drinfeld triple admits a choice of the multiparameters for which it can be rimed. We give a minimal example.
We describe a quantum Lie algebra based on the Cremmer-Gervais R-matrix. The algebra arises upon a restriction of an infinite-dimensional quantum Lie algebra.
We introduce an algebra given by quadratic relations in an algebra of polynomials in an infinite number of variables. Using this algebra, we prove some explicit formulas for the Sturm sequence of a polynomial.
We construct a family of automorphisms of Mickelsson algebra, satisfying braid group relations. The construction uses 'Zhelobenko cocycle' and includes the dynamical Weyl group action as a particular case.
We suggest a formula for quantum universal $R$-matrices corresponding to quasitriangular classical $r$-matrices classified by Belavin and Drinfeld for all simple Lie algebras. The $R$-matrices are obtained by twisting the standard universal $R$-matrix.
For a quantum Lie algebra $Γ$, let $Γ^\wedge$ be its exterior extension (the algebra $Γ^\wedge$ is canonically defined). We introduce a differential on the exterior extension algebra $Γ^\wedge$ which provides the structure of a complex on $Γ^{\wedge}$. In the situation when $Γ$ is a usual Lie algebra this complex coincides with the "standard complex". The differential is realized as a commutator with a (BRST) operator $Q$ in a larger algebra $Γ^\wedge[Ω]$, with extra generators canonically conjugated to the exterior generators of $Γ^{\wedge}$. A recurrent relation which defines uniquely the operator $Q$ is given.
The Cayley-Hamilton-Newton theorem - which underlies the Newton identities and the Cayley-Hamilton identity - is reviewed, first, for the classical matrices with commuting entries, second, for two q-matrix algebras, the RTT-algebra and the RLRL-algebra. The Cayley-Hamilton-Newton identities for these q-algebras are related by the factorization map. A class of algebras M(R,F) is presented. The algebras M(R,F) include the RTT-algebra and the RLRL-algebra as particular cases. The algebra M(R,F) is defined by a pair of compatible matrices R and F. The Cayley-Hamilton-Newton theorem for the algebras M(R,F) is stated. A nontrivial example of a compatible pair is given.
