Constraints on Vector-Like Top Dipole Interactions from Top-Associated Photon Measurements at the LHC

Precision measurements of top-quark production with energetic photons provide a complementary probe of vector-like quarks with nonstandard radiative decays. We reinterpret the CMS differential $t\bar tγ$ measurement and the ATLAS fiducial $t\bar tγγ$ cross section to constrain the electromagnetic and chromomagnetic transition interactions of a charge-$2/3$ vector-like top partner, $T$. We consider effective interactions written in terms of physical fields after electroweak symmetry breaking, retaining only the decays $T\to tγ$ and $T\to tg$. The CMS signal includes both the mixed $(tγ)(tg)$ topology and double-radiative $t\bar tγγ$ events entering the exactly-one-photon fiducial region, while the ATLAS rate is interpreted using a signal-specific detector-response transfer factor. Signal uncertainties are included, and the interpretation is restricted point by point to the domain satisfying the EFT and narrow-width requirements. Denoting the electromagnetic and chromomagnetic transition coefficients by $c_{tγ}$ and $c_{tg}$, respectively, we find that, for $c_{tg}=1.0\times10^{-5}~\GeV^{-1}$ and $m_T=500~\GeV$, the observed Run~2 exclusions at 95\% confidence level extend down to $c_{tγ}\simeq4.7\times10^{-7}~\GeV^{-1}$ for CMS and $2.3\times10^{-6}~\GeV^{-1}$ for ATLAS within the valid domain. At $m_T=1000~\GeV$, the corresponding values are $2.1\times10^{-6}$ and $8.5\times10^{-6}~\GeV^{-1}$. Projections to the HL-LHC indicate improved sensitivity to these radiative transition interactions. These results establish top-associated photon measurements as complementary probes of radiative top-partner interactions beyond searches targeting conventional decay modes.

Holographic Study of Reflected Entropy in Anisotropic Theories

We evaluate reflected entropy in certain anisotropic boundary theories dual to nonrelativistic geometries using holography. It is proposed that this quantity is proportional to the minimal area of the entanglement wedge cross section. Using this prescription, we study in detail the effect of anisotropy on reflected entropy and other holographic entanglement measures. In particular, we study the discontinuous phase transition of this quantity for a symmetric configuration consisting of two disjoint strips. We find that in the specific regimes of the parameter space the critical separation is an increasing function of the anisotropy parameter and hence the correlation between the subregions becomes more pronounced. We carefully examine how these results are consistent with the behavior of other correlation measures including the mutual information. Finally, we show that the structure of the universal terms of entanglement entropy is corrected depending on the orientation of the entangling region with respect to the anisotropic direction.

SiPM and PMT Driving, Signals Count and Peak Detection Circuits, suitable for Particle Detection

The signals received from the optical receivers like as SiPM and PMT due to the collision of energetic particles with the scintillators attached to these optical receivers, are weak and fast. To measure the number of signals as well as their peak height with electronic circuits, it is necessary to optimize the signals. An example of SiPM driver circuit, signal counting and peak measurement is presented in this text. Also, the electronic circuits necessary to optimize the signals, including amplification, elimination of background noise, conversion of signal to digital and increase of signal duration are presented in this text. At the end, two examples of test results are provided to confirm the correct operation of the circuits. Such a system has several advantages. This set has a small volume and is easily portable. Its operating voltage is 12 volts and with a current of about 0.3 amps, as a result of which it is possible to use this set in any test easily. In addition, the cost of building such a system is much less than providing similar ready-made systems. Therefore, it seems that the use of all or part of these circuits can be useful for researchers. This text, while providing a special method for optimizing the signals, provides the reader with a coherent and complete method of constructing and testing circuits, and if the reader is familiar with the basics of electronics and detectors, he or she can reconstruct the circuits without any problems. Therefore, parts of this text may have an educational and review form. It seems that without these sections, the right to read will not be fulfilled.

Entanglement Wedge Cross Section in Holographic Excited States

We evaluate the entanglement wedge cross section (EWCS) in asymptotically AdS geometries which are dual to boundary excited states. We carry out a perturbative analysis for calculating EWCS between the vacuum and other states for a symmetric configuration consisting of two disjoint strips and obtain analytical results in the specific regimes of the parameter space. In particular, when the states described by purely gravitational excitations in the bulk we find that the leading correction to EWCS is negative and hence the correlation between the boundary subregions decreases. We also study other types of excitations upon adding the extra matter fields including current and scalar condensate. Our study reveals some generic properties of boundary information measures dual to EWCS, e.g., entanglement of purification, logarithmic negativity and reflected entropy. Finally, we discuss how these results are consistent with the behavior of other correlation measures including the holographic mutual information.
