Non-vanishing theorems for prime twists of some modular $L$-functions

In this paper, we give some non-vanishing results on the central values of prime twists of modular $L$-functions by imaginary quadratic fields for specific elliptic modular forms. In particular, we show that the central values of prime twists of $L$-functions of some elliptic modular forms are always non-vanishing whenever the root number is positive.

Harder's conjecture II

Let $f$ be a primitive form of weight $2k+j-2$ for $SL_2(Z)$, and let $P$ be a prime ideal of the Hecke field of $f$. We denote by $Sp_m(Z)$ the Siegel modular group of degree $m$. Suppose that $k$ is congruent to $0$ modulo $4$, $j$ is congruent to $0$ modulo $4$, and that $P$ divides the algebraic part of $L(k+j,f)$. Put ${\bf k}=(k+j/2,k+j/2,j/2+4,j/2+4)$. Then under certain easily checkable conditions, we prove that there exists a Hecke eigenform $F$ in the space of modular forms of weight $(k+j,k)$ for $Sp_2(Z)$ such that $[I_2(f)]^{\bf k}$ is congruent to $A^{(I)}_4(F)$ modulo $P$. Here, $[I_2(f)]^{\bf k}$ is the Klingen-Eisenstein lift of the Saito-Kurokawa lift $I_2(f)$ of $f$ to the space of modular forms of weight ${\bf k}$ for $Sp_4(Z)$, and $A^{(I)}_4(F)$ is a certain lift of $F$ to the space of cusp forms of weight ${\bf k}$ for $Sp_4(Z)$. As an application, we prove Harder's conjecture on the congruence between the Hecke eigenvalues of $F$ and some quantities related to the Hecke eigenvalues of $f$. This version gives proofs of Lemmas 7.2 and 7.3 and Corollaries 7.4 and 7.5 in the paper arXiv:2306.07582v2.

The derivative formula of $p$-adic $L$-functions for imaginary quadratic fields at trivial zeros

The rank one Gross conjecture for Deligne-Ribet $p$-adic $L$-functions was solved in works of Darmon-Dasgupta-Pollack and Ventullo by the Eisenstein congruence among Hilbert modular forms. The purpose of this paper is to prove an analogue of the Gross conjecture for the Katz $p$-adic $L$-functions attached to imaginary quadratic fields via the congruences between CM forms and non-CM forms. The new ingredient is to apply the $p$-adic Rankin-Selberg method to construct a non-CM Hida family which is congruent to a Hida family of CM forms at the $1+\varepsilon$ specialization.

Harder's conjecture I

Let $f$ be a primitive form with respect to $SL_2(Z)$. Then we propose a conjecture on the congruence between the Klingen-Eisenstein lift of the Duke-Imamoglu-Ikeda lift of $f$ and a certain lift of a vector valued Hecke eigenform with respect to $Sp_2(Z)$. This conjecture implies Harder's conjecture. We prove the above conjecture in some cases.

Special values of anticyclotomic L-functions for modular forms

In this article, we generalize some works of Bertolini-Darmon and Vatsal on anticyclotomic L-functions attached to modular forms of weight two to higher weight case. We construct a class of anticyclotomic p-adic L-functions for ordinary modular forms and derive the functional equation and the interpolation formula at all critical specializations. Moreover, we prove results on the vanishing of mu-invariant of these p-adic L-functions and the non-vanishing of central L-values with anticyclotomic twists.

On Fourier coefficients of Siegel modular forms of degree two with respect to congruence subgroups

We prove a formula of Petersson's type for Fourier coefficients of Siegel cusp forms of degree 2 with respect to congruence subgroups, and as a corollary, show upper bound estimates of individual Fourier coefficient. The method in this paper is essentially a generalization of Kitaoka's previous work which studied the full modular case, but some modification is necessary to obtain estimates which are sharp with respect to the level aspect.
