The Einstein condition for quantum irreducible flag manifolds

We show that any quantum irreducible flag manifold satisfies an analogue of the Einstein condition, expressing proportionality between the Ricci tensor and the metric, at least in a small open interval around the classical value of the quantization parameter. This makes use of various canonical constructions associated to these algebras, such as differential calculi and bimodule connections, which were previously introduced by various authors.

Some results on the higher-rank graphs associated to crystals of semisimple Lie algebras

In this paper we continue the study of the higher-rank graphs associated to finite-dimensional complex semisimple Lie algebras, introduced by the author and R. Yuncken, whose construction relies on Kashiwara's theory of crystals. First we prove that the Bruhat graphs of the corresponding Weyl groups, both weak and strong, can be embedded into the higher-rank graphs as colored graphs. Next, specializing to Lie algebras of type $A$, we connect some aspects of the construction of the higher-rank graphs with some well-known notions in combinatorics, most notably the keys of Lascoux and Sch\"utzenberger.

Equivariant quantizations of the positive nilradical and covariant differential calculi

Consider a decomposition $\mathfrak{n} = \mathfrak{n}_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus \mathfrak{n}_r$ of the positive nilradical of a complex semisimple Lie algebra of rank $r$, where each $\mathfrak{n}_k$ is a module under an appropriate Levi factor. We show that this can be quantized as a finite-dimensional subspace $\mathfrak{n}^q_k = \mathfrak{n}^q_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus \mathfrak{n}^q_r$ of the positive part of the quantized enveloping algebra, where each $\mathfrak{n}^q_k$ is a module under the left adjoint action of a quantized Levi factor. Furthermore, we show that $\mathbb{C} \oplus \mathfrak{n}^q$ is a left coideal, with the possible exception of components corresponding to some exceptional Lie algebras. Finally we use these quantizations to construct covariant first-order differential calculi on quantum flag manifolds, compatible in a certain sense with the decomposition above, which coincide with those introduced by Heckenberger-Kolb in the irreducible case.

Crystal limits of compact semisimple quantum groups as higher-rank graph algebras

Let $O_q[K]$ denote the quantized coordinate ring over the field $\mathbb{C}(q)$ of rational functions corresponding to a compact semisimple Lie group $K$, equipped with its *-structure. Let $A_0$ in $\mathbb{C}(q)$ denote the subring of regular functions at $q=0$. We introduce an $A_0$-subalgebra $O_q^{A_0}[K]$ of $O_q[K]$ which is stable with respect to the *-structure, and which has the following properties with respect to the crystal limit $q \to 0$. The specialization of $O_q[K]$ at each $q$ in $(0,\infty)\setminus\{1\}$ admits a faithful *-representation $\pi_q$ on a fixed Hilbert space, a result due to Soibelman. We show that for every element $a$ in $O_q^{A_0}K$, the family of operators $\pi_q(a)$ admits a norm-limit as $q \to 0$. These limits define a *-representation $\pi_0$ of $O_q^{A_0}K$. We show that the resulting *-algebra $O[K_0]=\pi_0(O_q^{A_0}[K])$ is a Kumjian-Pask algebra, in the sense of Aranda Pino, Clark, an Huef and Raeburn. We give an explicit description of the underlying higher-rank graph in terms of crystal basis theory. As a consequence, we obtain a continuous field of $C^*$-algebras $(C(K_q))_{q\in[0,\infty]}$, where the fibres at $q = 0$ and $\infty$ are explicitly defined higher-rank graph algebras.

Quantum Riemannian geometry of quantum projective spaces

We study the quantum Riemannian geometry of quantum projective spaces of any dimension. In particular we compute the Riemann and Ricci tensors, using previously introduced quantum metrics and quantum Levi-Civita connections. We show that the Riemann tensor is a bimodule map and derive various consequences of this fact. We prove that the Ricci tensor is proportional to the quantum metric, giving a quantum analogue of the Einstein condition, and compute the corresponding scalar curvature. Along the way we also prove several results for various objects related to those mentioned here.

Fubini-Study metrics and Levi-Civita connections on quantum projective spaces

We introduce analogues of the Fubini-Study metrics and the corresponding Levi-Civita connections on quantum projective spaces. We define the quantum metrics as two-tensors, symmetric in the appropriate sense, in terms of the differential calculi introduced by Heckenberger and Kolb. We define connections on these calculi and show that they are torsion free and cotorsion free, where the latter condition uses the quantum metric and is a weaker notion of metric compatibility. Finally we show that these connections are bimodule connections and that the metric compatibility also holds in a stronger sense.

Twisted Hochschild Homology of Quantum Flag Manifolds and K\"ahler Forms

We study the twisted Hochschild homology of quantum flag manifolds, the twist being the modular automorphism of the Haar state. We prove that every quantum flag manifold admits a non-trivial class in degree two, with an explicit representative defined in terms of a certain projection. The corresponding classical two-form, via the Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg theorem, is identified with a K\"ahler form on the flag manifold.

K\"ahler structures on quantum irreducible flag manifolds

We prove that all quantum irreducible flag manifolds admit K\"ahler structures, as defined by \'O Buachalla. In order to show this result, we also prove that the differential calculi defined by Heckenberger and Kolb are differential *-calculi in a natural way.

Quantum flag manifolds, quantum symmetric spaces and their associated universal K-matrices

Let $U$ be a connected, simply connected compact Lie group with complexification $G$. Let $\mathfrak{u}$ and $\mathfrak{g}$ be the associated Lie algebras. Let $\Gamma$ be the Dynkin diagram of $\mathfrak{g}$ with underlying set $I$, and let $U_q(\mathfrak{u})$ be the associated quantized universal enveloping $*$-algebra of $\mathfrak{u}$ for some $0<q$ distinct from $1$. Let $\mathcal{O}_q(U)$ be the coquasitriangular quantized function Hopf $*$-algebra of $U$, whose Drinfeld double $\mathcal{O}_q(G_{\mathbb{R}})$ we view as the quantized function $*$-algebra of $G$ considered as a real algebraic group. We show how the datum $\nu = (\tau,\epsilon)$ of an involution $\tau$ of $\Gamma$ and a $\tau$-invariant function $\epsilon: I \rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ can be used to deform $\mathcal{O}_q(G_{\mathbb{R}})$ into a $*$-algebra $\mathcal{O}_q^{\nu,\mathrm{id}}(G_{\mathbb{R}})$ by a modification of the Drinfeld double construction. We then show how, by a generalized theory of universal $K$-matrices, a specific $*$-subalgebra $\mathcal{O}_q(G_{\nu}\backslash \backslash G_{\mathbb{R}})$ of $\mathcal{O}_q^{\nu,\mathrm{id}}(G_{\mathbb{R}})$ admits $*$-homomorphisms into both $U_q(\mathfrak{u})$ and $\mathcal{O}_q(U)$, the images being coideal $*$-subalgebras of respectively $U_q(\mathfrak{u})$ and $\mathcal{O}_q(U)$. We illustrate the theory by showing that two main classes of examples arise by such coideals, namely quantum flag manifolds and quantum symmetric spaces (except possibly for certain exceptional cases). In the former case this connects to work of the first author and Neshveyev, while for the latter case we heavily rely on recent results of Balagovi\'{c} and Kolb.

On PBW-deformations of braided exterior algebras

We classify PBW-deformations of quadratic-constant type of certain quantizations of exterior algebras. These correspond to the fundamental modules of quantum $\mathfrak{sl}_N$, their duals, and their direct sums. We show that the first two cases do not admit any deformation, while in the third case we obtain an essentially unique algebra with good properties. We compare this algebra with other quantum Clifford algebras appearing in the literature.

Regularity of twisted spectral triples and pseudodifferential calculi

We investigate the regularity condition for twisted spectral triples. This condition is equivalent to the existence of an appropriate pseudodifferential calculus compatible with the spectral triple. A natural approach to obtain such a calculus is to start with a twisted algebra of abstract differential operators, in the spirit of Higson. Under an appropriate algebraic condition on the twisting, we obtain a pseudodifferential calculus which admits an asymptotic expansion, similarly to the untwisted case. We present some examples coming from the theory of quantum groups. Finally we discuss zeta functions and the residue (twisted) traces on differential operators.

Twisted Hochschild homology of quantum flag manifolds: 2-cycles from invariant projections

We study the twisted Hochschild homology of quantum full flag manifolds, with the twist being the modular automorphism of the Haar state. We show that non-trivial 2-cycles can be constructed from appropriate invariant projections. The main result is that $HH_2^\theta(\mathbb{C}_q[G / T])$ is infinite-dimensional when $\mathrm{rank}(\mathfrak{g}) > 1$. We also discuss the case of generalized flag manifolds and present the example of quantum Grassmannians.

Dolbeault-Dirac operators, quantum Clifford algebras and the Parthasarathy formula

We consider Dolbeault-Dirac operators on quantized irreducible flag manifolds as defined by Kr\"ahmer and Tucker-Simmons. We show that, in general, these operators do not satisfy a formula of Parthasarathy-type. This is a consequence of two results that we prove here: we always have quadratic commutation relations for the relevant quantum root vectors, up to terms in the quantized Levi factor; there are examples of quantum Clifford algebras where the commutation relations are not of quadratic-constant type.

Commutation relations for quantum root vectors of cominuscole parabolics

We prove a result for the commutator of quantum root vectors corresponding to cominuscole parabolics. Specifically we show that, given two quantum root vectors, belonging respectively to the quantized nilradical and the quantized opposite nilradical, their commutator belongs to the quantized Levi factor. This generalizes the classical result for Lie algebras. Recall that the quantum root vectors depend on the reduced decomposition of the longest word of the Weyl group. We show that this result does not hold for all such choices. We conjecture that it holds when the reduced decomposition is appropriately factorized.

Planck-scale-modified dispersion relations in FRW spacetime

In recent years Planck-scale modifications of the dispersion relation have been attracting increasing interest also from the viewpoint of possible applications in astrophysics and cosmology, where spacetime curvature cannot be neglected. Nonetheless the interplay between Planck-scale effects and spacetime curvature is still poorly understood, particularly in cases where curvature is not constant. These challenges have been so far postponed by relying on an ansatz, first introduced by Jacob and Piran. We here propose a general strategy of analysis of the effects of modifications of dispersion relation in FRW spacetimes, applicable both to cases where the relativistic equivalence of frames is spoiled ("preferred-frame scenarios") and to the alternative possibility of "DSR-relativistic theories", theories that are fully relativistic but with relativistic laws deformed so that the modified dispersion relation is observer independent. We show that the Jacob-Piran ansatz implicitly assumes that spacetime translations are not affected by the Planck-scale, while under rather general conditions the same Planck-scale quantum-spacetime structures producing modifications of the dispersion relation also affect translations. Through the explicit analysis of one of the effects produced by modifications of the dispersion relation, an effect amounting to Planck-scale corrections to travel times, we show that our concerns are not merely conceptual but rather can have significant quantitative implications.

On the Dolbeault-Dirac operators on quantum projective spaces

We consider Dolbeault-Dirac operators on quantum projective spaces, following Krahmer and Tucker-Simmons. The main result is an explicit formula for their squares, up to terms in the quantized Levi factor, which can be expressed in terms of some central elements. This computation is completely algebraic. These operators can also be made to act on the corresponding Hilbert spaces. Using the formula mentioned above, we easily find that they have compact resolvent, thus obtaining a result similar to that of D'Andrea and Dabrowski.

An analogue of Weyl's law for quantized irreducible generalized flag manifolds

We prove an analogue of Weyl's law for quantized irreducible generalized flag manifolds. By this we mean defining a zeta function, similarly to the classical setting, and showing that it satisfies the following two properties: as a functional on the quantized algebra it is proportional to the Haar state; its first singularity coincides with the classical dimension. The relevant formulae are given for the more general case of compact quantum groups.
