Study of exotic hadron states in the $DD^{*}$ system via the complex momentum representation and Green's function method

In this paper, we propose a novel approach to investigate exotic hadronic states. For the $DD^{*}$ system, we employ the projection operator method to derive the momentum-space interaction potential. Subsequently, the complex momentum representation (CMR) method is adopted to realize a unified description of bound states, resonant states, and the continuum. By combining the Green's function and the CMR, the scattering phase shifts and cross sections are determined. This integrated approach provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing the scattering dynamics of the $DD^{*}$ system. In the hadronic molecular state framework, the $X(3872)$, $T_{cc}^+$, and $Z_c(3900)$ states can be consistently explained as bound states, while the $G(3900)$ can be interpreted as a $P$-wave resonant state. The decomposition of the scattering phase shifts and cross sections facilitates understanding the roles of resonant and continuum spectrum.

Single spin asymmetry $A _ { U L } ^ { \sin ( 3 \phi _ { h } - \phi_{ R } ) }$ in dihadron production in SIDIS

In the field of particle physics, the phenomenon of dihadron production in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) process has always been a significant focus. This paper focuses on the single longitudinal spin asymmetry $A_{UL }^{\sin(3\phi_{h}-\phi_{R})}$ in the dihadron production during this process and combines the transverse-momentum-dependent dihadron fragmentation function (DiFF) $H_1^{\perp}$ to deeply analyze its underlying mechanism. Here, the involved DiFF $H_1^{\perp}$ is the analogue of the Collins function for single-hadron production and it describes the fragmentation of a transversely polarized quark at leading twist. Recent studies have shown that the azimuthal asymmetry signal observed by the COMPASS collaboration in the dihadron SIDIS is weak. To reveal the reason for this small signal and to study the asymmetry, we calculate the unknown T-odd DiFF $H_1^{\perp}$ using the spectator model. The spectator model, widely used in SIDIS, describes the internal structure of hadrons and the hadronization mechanism. This model has successfully explained dihadron production in unpolarized and single-polarized processes. During the research process, while maintaining the transverse momentum dependence of the hadron pair, we employ the transverse momentum dependent(TMD) factorization framework, using this method and the model, we first simulate the asymmetry in the COMPASS energy region and compare it with experimental data. Furthermore, we predict the same asymmetry at the HERMES, expecting to provide valuable theoretical references for relevant experimental studies.

The bound and resonant states of $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ and $D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ with the complex scaling method

We perform a systematic study of the possible molecular states composed of a pair of heavy mesons such as $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}$, $D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ in the framework of the one-boson-exchange model. The exchanged bosons include the pseudoscalar, scalar and vector mesons($\pi$, $\sigma$, $\rho$, $\omega$). We use the Bonn approximation to get the interaction potential of one-boson-exchange model, then apply the complex scaling method to calculate the bound and resonant states. The results indicate that the $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ and $D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ system can not only form several bound states, but also a P-wave resonant state. The hadron molecular state model can explain the structure of $T_{cc}^+$ as a bound state $DD^{*}$ with quantum number $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$. In addition, we also discovered other bound and resonant states, which have the potential to be observed experimentally.

Probing double hadron resonance by complex momentum representation method

Resonances are ubiquitous phenomena in nature, and physicists have developed many methods to explore resonant states. Of particular note is the complex momentum representation(CMR) method, which has been developed and widely used in the study of resonant states in atomic, molecular and nuclear physics. Here, for the first time, we have developed this novel method to study hadron resonant states. The CMR method is applied to probe the bound and resonant states for the $\Lambda_cD(\bar{D})$ and $\Lambda_c\Lambda_c(\bar{\Lambda}_c)$ systems, in which the resonant states are exposed clearly in complex momentum plane and the resonance parameters can be determined precisely without imposing unphysical parameters. The results show that the CMR method has achieving higher accuracy than other widely used methods. This method is not only very effective for narrow resonances, but also can be reliably applied to broad resonances.

The Theoretical Study of $\Sigma^{+} p \to\Lambda a_0^{+} p$ Reaction

We conducted a theoretical study on the process $\Sigma^{+} p \to\Lambda a_0^{+} p$ based on an effective Lagrangian approach. This model encompasses the excitation of intermediate states leading to the production of $\Delta(1920)$ through $\pi^{+}$ and $K^{+}$ meson exchanges between the initial $\Sigma^{+}$ baryon and the initial proton $p$, as well as the generation of $\Delta(1940)$ via $\pi^{+}$ and $\rho^{+}$ meson exchanges. We provide predictions for the total and differential cross sections and discuss the potential impacts of cutoff parameters, off-shell effects, and branching ratios on the $\Delta^{\ast} \to a_0 p$ decay. Given the dominance of $\Delta(1940)$ in the region close to the reaction threshold, this reaction is considered an ideal platform for deeply exploring the unique properties of the $\Delta(1940)$ resonance. Through this approach, we can gain a more precise understanding of the intrinsic characteristics of this particle.

Single spin asymmetry $ A _{ U L } ^ { \sin ( 2 \phi _ { h } ) }$ in dihadron production in SIDIS

The paper calculates the helicity-dependent dihadron fragmentation function (DiFF), by extending the dihadron spectator model and examine the single longitudinal spin asymmetry $A^{\sin(2\phi_h)}_{UL}$ from dihadron in semi-inclusive inelastic scattering (SIDIS). This function elucidates the relationship between the longitudinal polarization of the fragmented quark and the transverse momentum of the resulting hadron pairs. A study by the COMPASS collaboration detected a minimal signal in their experimental search for this azimuthal asymmetry in SIDIS. Here, we use the spectator model to calculate the unknown T-odd dihadron fragmentation function $H_1^\perp$. Adopting collinear factorization to describe the data, avoiding the transverse momentum dependent factorization and the associated resummation effects, helping us understand the asymmetry and explaining why the signal is so weak. We involve the approach of transverse momentum dependence in the model calculations, in order to formulate the differential cross sections and the spin asymmetries in terms of the collinear parton distributions and the collinear DiFFs. A transverse momentum factor analysis method was used, in which the transverse momentum of the final hadron pairs was not integrated. The asymmetry of $sin(2\phi_h)$ in COMPASS kinematics was calculated and compared with experimental data. In addition, predictions for the same asymmetry are also presented for HERMES and the Electron Ion Collider.

Exploring dark matter-gauge boson effective interactions at the current and future colliders

In this work, we investigate the collider constraints on effective interactions between Dark Matter (DM) particles and electroweak gauge bosons in a systematic way. We consider the simplified models in which scalar or Dirac fermion DM candidates only couple to electroweak gauge bosons through high dimensional effective operators. Taking into account the induced DM-quarks and DM-gluons operators from the Renormalization Group Evolution (RGE) running effect, we present comprehensive constraints on effective energy scale $\Lambda$ and Wilson coefficients $C_B(\Lambda),\,C_W(\Lambda)$ from direct detection, indirect detection, and collider searches. In particular, we present the corresponding sensitivity from the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC) and the Future Circular Collider in electron-proton mode (FCC-ep) for the first time, update the mono-$j$ and mono-$\gamma$ search limits at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and derive the new limits at the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC).

Pole determination of $X(3960)$ and $X_0(4140)$ in decay $B^+\to K^+D_s^+D_s^-$

Two near-threshold peaking structures with spin-parities $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ were recently discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in the $D_s^+D_s^-$ invariant mass distribution of the decay process $B^+\to D_s^+D_s^-K^+$. In our study, we employed a coupled-channel model to fit the experimental results published by the LHCb collaboration, simultaneously fitting the model to the invariant mass distributions of $M_{D_s^+D_s^-}$, $M_{D_s^+K^+}$, and $M_{D_s^-K^+}$. We utilized a coupled-channel model to search for the poles of $X(3960)$ and $X_0(4140)$. The determination of the poles is meaningful in itself, and it also lays an foundation for the future research on $X(3960)$ and $X_0(4140)$. Upon turning off the coupled-channel and performing another fit, we observed a change in the fitting quality, the effect was almost entirely due to the peak of $X(3960)$, so we suggest that $X(3960)$ may not be a kinematic effect.

Triangle mechanism in the decay process $B_0 \to J/\psi K^0 f_0(980)(a_0(980))$

The role of the triangle mechanism in the decay process $B_0\to J/\psi K^0f_0 \to J/\psi K^0\pi^+\pi^-$ and $B_0\to J\psi K^0a_0\to J/\psi K^0 \pi^0\eta$ is probed. In these process, the triangle singularity appears from the decay of $B^0$ into $J/\psi\phi K^0$ then $\phi$ decays into $K^0\bar{K^0}$ and $K^0\bar{K^0}$ merged into $f_0$ or $a_0$ which finally decay into $\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\pi^0\eta$ respectively. We find that this mechanism leads to a triangle singularity around $M_{\rm inv}(K^0f_0(a_0))\approx1520\ {\rm MeV}$, and gives sizable branching fractions ${\rm{Br}}(B_0\to J/\psi K^0f_0\to J/\psi K^0\pi^+\pi^-)=1.38\times10^{-6}$ and $ {\rm{Br}}(B_0\to J/\psi K^0a_0\to J/\psi K^0\pi^0\eta)=2.56\times10^{-7}$. This potential investigation can help us obtain the information of the scalar meson $f_0(980)$ or $a_0(980)$.

Explanation of Y(4630) as hadronic resonant state

After Y(4630) is discovered, theorists have given various explanations. We find that if Y(4630) is interpreted as the D-wave resonant state of $\Lambda_c \bar {\Lambda}_c$ system, the particle mass, decay width and all quantum numbers are consistent with experimental observations. We use the Bonn approximation to get the interaction potential of one boson exchange model, then extend the complex scaling method (CSM) to calculate the bound and resonant states. The results indicate that the $\Lambda_c \bar{\Lambda}_c$ system can form not only the bound state of S wave, but also the resonant state of the high angular momentum, and the $^3D_1$ wave resonant state can explain the structure of Y(4630) very well.

Dark states with electromagnetic form factors at electron colliders

Electromagnetically neutral dark sector particles may feebly interact with photons through higher dimensional effective operators, such as mass-dimension 5 magnetic and electric dipole moment, and a mass-dimension 6 anapole moment and charge radius operators. In this work, we use hypercharge gauge field form factors to treat dark states, which will induce not only electromagnetic form factors but also the corresponding $Z$ boson operators. Taking a Dirac fermion $\chi$ as an example, we investigate the probes of searching for such dark states at current and future $e^+e^-$ collider experiments including BESIII, STCF, Belle II and CEPC via monophoton searches. Comparing to current experiments, we find that electron colliders including BESIII, STCF, Belle II, which operate with the center-of-mass at several GeV, have leading sensitivity on the corresponding electromagnetic form factors for the mass-dimension 5 operators with dark states lighter than several GeV, while they can not provide competitive upper limits for the mass-dimension 6 operators. Future CEPC operated with the center-of-mass on and beyond the mass of $Z$-boson with competitive luminosity can probe the unexplored parameter space for dark states with mass-dimension 5 (6) operators in the mass region of $m\lesssim 100 $ GeV (10 MeV $\lesssim m\lesssim 100 $ GeV).

Neutrino dipole portal at electron colliders

We propose to search for a heavy neutral lepton (HNL), that is also know as sterile neutrino, in electron colliders running with the center-of-mass energies at few GeV, including BESIII, Belle II, and the proposed Super Tau Charm Factory (STCF). We consider the HNL interacting with Standard Model neutrino and photon via a transition magnetic moment, the so-called dipole portal. We use the monophoton signature at electron colliders to probe the constraints on the active-sterile neutrino transition magnetic moments $d$ as the function of the HNL's mass $m_N$.It is found that BESIII, Belle II and STCF can probe the upper limits for $d$ down to 1.3 $\times 10^{-5}\ {\rm GeV}^{-1}$, 8 $\times 10^{-6}\ {\rm GeV}^{-1}$, and 1.3 $\times 10^{-6}\ {\rm GeV}^{-1}$ with $m_N$ around GeV scale, respectively, and have sensitivity to the previously unexplored parameter space for electron- ($d_e$) and tau-neutrino ($d_\tau$) dipole portal with $m_N$ from dozens to thounsands MeV. On $d_\mu$ for HNL mixing with the {muon}-neutrino, Belle II and STCF can also provide leading constraints.

$J/\psi$ associated production with a bottom quark pair from the Higgs boson decay in next-to-leading order QCD

In this work, we investigate the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD correction to $J/\psi$ associated production with a bottom quark pair from the Higgs boson decay within the nonrelativistic QCD framework. From numerical results, {we find that the decay width of process $H \rightarrow b+ J/\psi+\bar{b}$ at leading order (LO) mainly comes from the contribution of the Fock state $^3S^{(8)}_1$, and the NLO QCD corrections significantly enhance the decay width at LO accuracy by about 2 times. At NLO accuracy, the Fock states $^3S^{(8)}_1$ and $^3P^{(8)}_J$ channels give the main contribution, accounting for about $68\%$ and $29\%$ of the total decay width of $J/\psi$ associated production with a bottom quark pair at NLO accuracy from the Higgs boson decay, respectively. Considering the dominant contribution of color octet (CO) channels at NLO accuracy, the inclusive decay process $H\to b+J/\psi+\bar b + X$ has the potential to be found in future colliders with high energy/luminosity.} The study of $J/\psi$ associated production with a bottom quark pair from the Higgs boson decay is not only useful to study the mechanism of color-octet, but also to assist in the investigation of the coupling for the Higgs boson with the bottom quark.

Revisit prompt $J/\psi$ production in associated with Higgs Boson via gluon fusion at the LHC

The production of charmonium associated with Higgs boson via gluon fusion has been investigated in Ref.[Phys.Rev.D66,114002(2002)], in which they considered the contribution of final Higgs boson radiation off the charm quark at tree level and found that this process is to be far too rare to be observable in any of the considered experiments. In this paper, the production of prompt $J/\psi$ associated with Higgs boson via gluon fusion at the 14 TeV LHC within the factorization formalism of NRQCD is revisited. After considering the contribution from the final Higgs boson radiation off the top quark in the loop, which is {more than} three orders of magnitudes over the charm quark at tree level, the production of prompt $J/\psi$ associated with Higgs boson has great potential to be detected. The prompt $J/\psi$ production includes the direct production and indirect production via radiative or hadronic decays of high excited charmonium states. For the direct $J/\psi + H$ production via gluon fusion loop-induced, the ${}^{3}S^{(8)}_1$ Fock state gives dominant contribution to the cross section, which is about 95\% to the total direct production. The indirect contribution via loop-induced is appreciable, since the summation of which from $\psi(2S) + H$, $\chi_{c1} + H$ and $\chi_{c2} + H$ is about $34\%$ to the total cross section of prompt $J/\psi + H$. While the indirect contribution from $\chi_{c0} + H$ is tiny, which can be neglected. With the great potential to be detected, prompt $J/\psi$ production in associated with Higgs boson can help us to further understand the mechanism of colour-octet, as well as can be useful to further investigate the coupling of the Higgs boson and fermion.

Probing double hadron resonances by the complex scaling method

Many newly discovered excited states are interpreted as bound states of hadrons. Can these hadrons also form resonant states? In this paper, we extend the complex scaling method (CSM) to calculate the bound state and resonant state consistently for the $\Lambda_c D(\bar D)$ and $\Lambda_c \Lambda_c (\bar \Lambda_c)$ systems. For these systems, the $\pi, \eta, \rho$ meson exchange contributions are suppressed, the contributions of intermediate- and short-range forces from $\sigma/\omega$ exchange are dominant. Our results indicate that $\Lambda_c D$ system can not form bound state and resonant state. There exist resonant states in a wide range of parameters for $\Lambda_c \bar D$ and $\Lambda_c \Lambda_c (\bar \Lambda_c)$ systems. For these systems, the larger bound state energy, the easier to form resonant states. Among all the resonant states, the energies and widths of the P wave resonant states are smaller and more stable, which is possible to be observed in the experiments. The energies of D and F wave resonant states can reach dozens of MeV and the widths can reach hundreds of MeV.

Probing the $L_\mu-L_\tau$ gauge boson at electron colliders

We investigate the minimal $U(1)_{L_\mu-L_\tau}$ model with extra heavy vector-like leptons or charged scalars. By studying the kinetic mixing between $U(1)_{L_\mu-L_\tau}$ gauge boson $Z^\prime$ and standard model photon, which is absent at tree level and will arise at one loop level due to $\mu$, $\tau$ and new heavy charged leptons or scalars, the interesting behavior is shown. It can provide possibility for visible signatures of new heavy particles. We propose to search for $Z^\prime$ at electron collider experiments, such as Belle II, BESIII and future Super Tau Charm Factory (STCF), using the monophoton final state. The parameter space of $Z^\prime$ is probed, and scanned by its gauge coupling constant $g_{Z^\prime}$ and mass $m_{Z^\prime}$. We find that electron colliders have sensitivity to the previously unexplored parameter space for $Z^\prime$ with MeV-GeV mass. Future STCF experiments with $\sqrt s=2-7$ GeV can exclude the anomalous muon magnetic moment favored area when $m_{Z^\prime}<5$ GeV with the luminosity of 30 ab$^{-1}$. For $m_{Z^\prime} < 2m_\mu$, $g_{Z^\prime}$ can be down to $4.2\times 10^{-5}$ at 2 GeV STCF.

Probing invisible decay of dark photon at BESIII and future STCF via monophoton searches

We propose to search the monophoton events at the BESIII detector and future Super Tau Charm Factory to probe the sub-GeV dark photon decay into lighter dark matter. We compute the cross section due to the dark photon associated a standard model photon production, and study the corresponding standard model irreducible/reducible backgrounds. By using the data about 17 fb$^{-1}$ collected at the BESIII detector since 2011, we derive new leading limits of the mixing strength $\varepsilon$, $\varepsilon\lesssim(1.1-1.6)\times 10^{-4}$, in the mass range of 0.04 GeV $\lesssim m_{A^\prime} \lesssim$ 3 GeV. With 30 ab$^{-1}$ data, STCF running at $\sqrt{s} = 2$ GeV, can probe $\varepsilon$ down to 5.1$\times 10^{-6}$ when $m_{A^\prime}=1$ GeV. For models of scalar and fermionic light thermal dark matter production via dark photon, we present the constrains on the dimensionless dark matter parameter $y=\varepsilon^2\alpha_D(m_\chi/m_{A^\prime})^4$ as function of the DM mass $m_{\chi}$ at BESIII and future STCF, conventionally assuming the dark coupling constant $\alpha_D=0.5$ and $m_{A^\prime}=3 m_{\chi}$. We find that BESIII can exclude model of scalar, Majorana, and pseudo-Dirac (with a small splitting) DM for the mass region 0.03$\sim$1 GeV, 0.04$\sim$1 GeV and 0.4$\sim$1 GeV respectively. For values $\alpha_D\lesssim 0.005$, combining the results from 2 GeV STCF with 30 ab$^{-1}$ data and BaBar, one can exclude the above three DM models in the mass region 0.001 GeV $\lesssim m_{\chi} \lesssim$ 1 GeV.

Prompt $J/\psi$ production in associated with top quark pair at the LHC

In this work, we investigate the prompt $J/\psi$ production in associated with top quark pair to leading order in the nonrelativistic QCD factorization formalism at the LHC with $\sqrt{s} =13$ TeV. In addition to the contribution from direct $J/\psi$ production, we also include the indirect contribution from the directly produced heavier charmmonia $\chi_{cJ}$ and $\psi^\prime$. We present the numerical results for the total and differential cross sections and find that the $\sideset{^3}{^{(8)}_1}{\mathop{{S}}}$ states give the dominant contributions. The prompt $t\bar t J/\psi$ signatures at the LHC are analyzed in the tetralepton channel $pp\to (t\to W^+(\ell^+\nu)b) (\bar t \to W^-(\ell^- \bar \nu)\bar b) (J/\psi\to\mu^+\mu^-)$ and trilepton channel $pp\to (t\to W(q q^\prime)b) ( t \to W(\ell \nu) b) (J/\psi\to\mu^+\mu^-)$, with the $J/\psi$ mesons decaying into muon pair, and the top quarks decaying leptonically or hadronically. We find that $t\bar t J/\psi$ proudction can be potentially detected at the LHC, whose measurement is useful to test the heavy quarkonium production mechanism.
