We show that the bicategory of operads and bimodules can be embedded into the bicategory of symmetric 2-rigs, a categorification of commutative rings. In order to do this, we introduce the notion of an operadic 2-rig and show that the full sub-bicategory of symmetric 2-rigs spanned by operadic 2-rigs has the universal property of being a completion under Eilenberg-Moore-Kleisli objects.
We give a recursive formula to compute the cofree coalgebra P^\vee(C) over any colored operad P in Set, CGHaus or (dg)Vect. The construction is closed to that of Smith but different. We use a more conceptual approach to simplify the proofs that P^\vee is the cofree P-coalgebra functor and also the comonad generating P-coalgebras. In a second part, when P is a linear or dg-operad over a field, we generalize the notion of representative functions of Block & Leroux and prove that P^\vee(C) is simply the subobject of representative elements in the "completed P-algebra" P^\wedge(C). This says that our recursion (as well as that of Smith) stops at the first step.
Let $X \to S$ be a miniversal family of smooth and projective varieties and D be a fixed triangulated category. We show that the set of points s in S such that the derived category of the fiber X_s at s is equivalent to D is at most countable. We deduce from this that the derived equivalence classes of smooth and projective complex varieties is at most countable.
