Microscopic Optical Potential from Brueckner-Hartree-Fock Theory

Modern Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (BHF) calculations are very successful in describing various properties of symmetric and asymmetric nuclear matter. Within BHF theory a microscopic optical potential (MOP) for nucleon-nucleus scattering is developed. First, we parametrize the energy and density dependence of complex optical potentials in nuclear matter based on BHF calculations and then we construct the MOP for finite nuclei with the local density approximation extended to include the finite-range effects. The density distribution and the spin-orbit contribution are calculated from the Hartree-Fock (HF) approximation with LNS5 Skyrme interaction, the latter being constrained by the BHF results. The central real and imaginary potentials turn out to be quantitatively consistent with the phenomenological global Koning-Delaroche (KD) potentials. The performance of MOP is evaluated by considering neutron/proton scattering on $^{40,48}$Ca. The elastic scattering differential cross sections, analyzing powers and total/reaction cross sections are analyzed in the energy below 200 MeV. A good agreement between the theoretical results and the measurements is achieved. Since our results are presented in the analytic forms, they can thus be used easily in the analysis of the experimental data of the nucleon scattering on exotic nuclei.

Quarkonium light-cone distribution amplitudes: twist structure and mass dependence

We present a systematic study of the leading- and next-to-leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of ground-state pseudoscalar and vector quarkonium within the light-front quark model (LFQM). By implementing the replacement $M \to M_0$, we analyze the longitudinal and transverse structures of the LCDAs, together with their Gegenbauer moments, $\xi$-moments, and transverse momentum moments. We show that charge-conjugation symmetry enforces the exact vanishing of all odd Gegenbauer moments and odd $\xi$-moments. For pseudoscalar quarkonium, the twist-2 and twist-3 LCDAs become identical, which leads to the same Gegenbauer moments, $\xi$-moments, and transverse momentum moments. For vector quarkonium, although the twist-2 and twist-3 LCDAs differ in the case of finite quark masses, they progressively converge as the quark mass increases. In the heavy-quark limit, all quarkonium LCDAs satisfy $\phi^A_{2} = \phi^P_{3} \simeq \phi^{\parallel}_{2} \simeq \phi^{\perp}_{3}$, demonstrating an emergent twist-independence of quarkonium distribution amplitudes. We further find that the LCDAs become increasingly peaked and narrower with increasing quark mass, indicating that the meson system becomes increasingly close to a nonrelativistic bound state, with a more uniform and stable distribution of internal longitudinal momentum. For all quarkonium, the peak value exhibits a simple phenomenological scaling behavior governed by the ratio $m/\beta$. The transverse momentum moments increase with the meson mass, indicating a progressively more compact bound-state structure. These results reveal a universal and systematic evolution of quarkonium LCDAs driven by the quark mass.

Study of $B_{c}$$\to$$ J/\psi V $ and $B_{c}^{*}$$\to$$\eta_{c}V$ decays within the QCD factorization

In this paper, we study the non-leptonic $B_{c}\to J/\psi V$ and $B_{c}^{*}\to\eta_{c}V$~$(V=\rho\,,K^{*})$ weak decays in the framework of QCD factorization. In the evaluation, the form factors are calculated by using the Bauer-Stech-Wirbel model and the light-front quark model, respectively. Besides the longitudinal amplitude, the power-suppressed transverse contributions are also evaluated at next-to-leading order. The predictions for the observables of $B_{c}\to J/\psi V$ and $B_{c}^{*}\to\eta_{c}V$ decays are presented. We find that the NLO QCD contribution presents about $ 8\%$ correction to the branching ratios, and the longitudinal polarization fractions of these decays are at the level of $(80\sim90)\%$. In addition, we suggest direct measurements on some useful ratios, $R_{K^{*}/\rho}^{(\lambda=0)}$ and $\widetilde{R}^{(\lambda=0)}_{K^{*}/\rho}$, which are very suitable for test the consistence between theoretical prediction and data because their theoretical uncertainties can be well-controlled.
