Automorphism Groups of Three-Dimensional Leibniz Algebras: A Complete Description

Automorphism groups are among the most natural structural invariants of an algebra, and their explicit determination is a basic problem in the structure theory of Leibniz algebras. In a series of earlier papers, automorphism groups were obtained for several classes of low-dimensional, one-generated, nilpotent, and non-nilpotent Leibniz algebras. In the present paper we complete this picture for three-dimensional non-Lie left Leibniz algebras over arbitrary fields. We use a refined organization of the three-dimensional classification into sixteen isomorphism types, including parameterized families. Previously known cases are not recomputed; instead, they are incorporated by reference, with changes of basis recorded when necessary. For the remaining types we determine the automorphism groups explicitly through a direct analysis of the automorphism conditions. Particular attention is paid to exceptional parameter values and to characteristic two. A final table summarizes the automorphism group of every type in the classification.

Derivation Algebras of Three-Dimensional Leibniz Algebras: A Complete Description

Derivation algebras are natural structural invariants of Leibniz algebras. In a number of earlier papers, derivations were described for several classes of one-generated, nilpotent, non-nilpotent, and low-dimensional Leibniz algebras. In the present paper we complete the description for three-dimensional non-Lie left Leibniz algebras over arbitrary fields. We use a refined organization of the three-dimensional classification into sixteen isomorphism types, including parameterized families. Previously known cases are incorporated by reference, with changes of basis recorded when necessary. For the remaining cases we determine the derivations by direct coefficient calculations. Special attention is paid to characteristic two, where several derivation algebras increase in dimension. We also record simple decompositions of the resulting Lie algebras into natural ideals and subalgebras. A final table gives the derivation algebra of every type in the classification.

From actions of an abelian group on itself to left braces

We present a construction of left braces of right nilpotency class at most two based on suitable actions of an abelian group on itself with an invariance condition. This construction allows us to recover the construction of a free right nilpotent one-generated left brace of class two.

On the inner structure of 3-dimensional Leibniz algebras

Let $L$ be an algebra over a field $F$ with the binary operations $+$ and $[,]$. Then $L$ is called a left Leibniz algebra if $[[a,b],c]=[a,[b,c]]-[b,[a,c]]$ for all $a,b,c\in L$. We describe the inner structure of left Leibniz algebras having dimension 3.

On groups whose subnormal abelian subgroups are normal

In the current paper we study the groups, whose subnormal abelian subgroups are normal. We obtained a quite detailed description of such hyperabelian groups with a periodic Baer radical. The description of hyperabelian Lie algebras, whose abelian subideals are ideals, is also obtained.

On the structure of some contranormal-free groups

A subgroup of a group is contranormal if its normal closure coincides with the group. We call such groups without proper contranormal subgroups contranormal-free. In this paper we prove various results concerning contranormal-free groups proving, for example that locally generalized radical contranormal-free groups which have finite section rank are hypercentral.

On the structure of some locally nilpotent groups without contranormal subgroups

Following J.S. Rose, a subgroup H of a group G is said contranormal in G if G = H^G . In a certain sense, contranormal subgroups are antipodes to subnormal subgroups. It is well known that a finite group is nilpotent if and only if it has no proper contranormal subgroups. We prove that a nilpotent-by-finite group with no proper contranormal subgroup is nilpotent. There are locally nilpotent groups with a proper contranormal subgroup. We study the structure of hypercentral groups with a finite proper contranormal subgroup.

On modules with few minimax cocentralizers

Let R be a ring and G a group. An R-module A is said to be minimax if A includes an noetherian submodule B such that A=B is artinian. The authors study a ZG-module A such that A/C_A(H) is minimax (as a Z-module) for every proper not finitely generated subgroup H.

On the structure of some modules over generalized soluble groups

Let R be a ring and G a group. An R-module A is said to be artinian-by-(finite rank) if TorR(A) is artinian and A/TorR(A) has finite R-rank. The authors study ZG-modules A such that A/CA(H) is artinian-by-(finite rank) (as a Z-module) for every proper subgroup H.

The ranks of central factor and commutator groups

The Schur Theorem says that if $G$ is a group whose center $Z(G)$ has finite index $n$, then the order of the derived group $G'$ is finite and bounded by a number depending only on $n$. In the present paper we show that if $G$ is a finite group such that $G/Z(G)$ has rank $r$, then the rank of $G'$ is $r$-bounded. We also show that a similar result holds for a large class of infinite groups.
