Canonical Byte-String Encoding for Finite-Ring Cryptosystems

Ring-mapping protocols need a canonical byte-to-residue layer before any algebraic encryption step can begin. This paper isolates that layer and presents the base-m length codec, a canonical map from byte strings of length less than 2^64 to lists of residues modulo m. The encoder builds on and adapts an rANS-based system proposed by Duda. Decoding is exact for all moduli satisfying the paper's parameter bounds. Because the encoding carries the byte length in its fixed-width header, decoding is also tolerant to appended valid suffix digits. The paper is accompanied by a Rust implementation of the described protocol, a Lean 4 formalization of the abstract codec with machine-checked proofs, and performance benchmarks. The Lean 4 formalization establishes fixed-width prefix inversion and payload-state bounds below 2^64, stream-level roundtrip correctness, and that every emitted symbol is a valid residue modulo m. We conclude with a complexity analysis and a discussion of practical considerations arising in real-world use of the codec.

Cartesian Merkle Tree

This paper introduces the Cartesian Merkle Tree, a deterministic data structure that combines the properties of a Binary Search Tree, a Heap, and a Merkle tree. The Cartesian Merkle Tree supports insertions, updates, and removals of elements in $O(\log n)$ time, requires $n$ space, and enables membership and non-membership proofs via Merkle-based authentication paths. This structure is particularly suitable for zero-knowledge applications, blockchain systems, and other protocols that require efficient and verifiable data structures.

ZK Secret Santa

This paper proposes a three-step Secret Santa algorithm with setup that leverages Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) to set up gift sender/receiver relations while maintaining the sender's confidentiality. The algorithm maintains a permutational derangement and does not require a central authority to perform successfully. The described approach can be implemented in Solidity provided the integration with a transaction relayer.

Multichain Taprootized Atomic Swaps: Introducing Untraceability through Zero-Knowledge Proofs

Taprootized Atomic Swaps is an extension for Atomic Swaps that enables the untraceability of transactions in a particular swap. Based on Schnorr signatures, Taproot technology, and zero-knowledge proofs, the taprootized atomic swaps hide swap transactions between regular payments. We propose several implementation options: single-transaction protocol, multiple-transaction protocol that splits the receiving amount in an untraceable way, and multichain swap protocol. Our proposed approach works with any smart-contract-compatible chain and multiple Taproot-compatible chains. We describe the concrete implementation of the protocol and release the source code publically.
