Residual-based Kaczmarz methods for tensor linear equations with t-product

Tensor linear systems widely arise from high-dimensional data mining and computing, for instance, natural language processing and machine learning. A class of residual-based tensor Kaczmarz method is proposed for tensor linear equations with t-product. Theoretical analyses prove the convergence and give an upper bound of the convergence rate of the proposed method. Furthermore, an accelerated residual-based Kaczmarz method with heavy ball momentum is developed. Numerical experiments verify the efficiency of the proposed methods and demonstrate that they are faster than the existing tensor Kaczmarz methods.

MPC Protocol for G-module and its Application in Secure Compare and ReLU

Secure comparison and secure selection are two fundamental MPC (secure Multi-Party Computation) protocols. One important application of these protocols is the secure ReLU and DReLU computation in privacy preserving deep learning. In this paper, we introduce G-module, a mathematics tool, to re-design such protocols. In mathematics, given a group G, a G-module is an abelian group M on which G acts compatibly with the abelian group structure on M. We design three secure protocols for three G-module operations. i.e. "G-module action", "Cross G-module action" and "G-module recover". As far as we know, this is the first work on secure G-module operations. Based on them, we design secure comparison, selection, ReLU and DReLU protocols, which improve communication efficiency by 2X to 10X compared with state of arts. Our protocols are very computation efficient too. They do not require public key operations or any other expensive operations.

Polynomial Relations for q-Characters via the ODE/IM Correspondence

Let $U_q(\mathfrak{b})$ be the Borel subalgebra of a quantum affine algebra of type $X^{(1)}_n$ ($X=A,B,C,D$). Guided by the ODE/IM correspondence in quantum integrable models, we propose conjectural polynomial relations among the $q$-characters of certain representations of $U_q(\mathfrak{b})$.

Confluent primary fields in the conformal field theory

For any complex simple Lie algebra, we generalize primary fileds in the Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten conformal field theory with respect to the case of irregular singularities and we construct integral representations of hypergeometric functions of confluent type, as expectation values of products of generalized primary fields. In the case of sl(2), these integral representations coincide with solutions to confluent KZ equations. Computing the operator product expansion of the energy-momentum tensor and the generalized primary field, new differential operators appear in the result. In the case of sl(2), these differential operators are the same as those of the confluent KZ equations.

Confluent KZ equations for sl_N with Poincare rank 2 at infinity

We construct confluent KZ equations with Poincare rank 2 at infinity for the case of sl_N and the integral representation for the solutions. Hamiltonians of these confluent KZ equations are derived from suitable quantization of dlog tau constructed in the theory of monodromy preserving deformation by Jimbo, Miwa and Ueno. Our confluent KZ equations may be viewed as a quantization of monodromy preserving deformation with Poincare rank 2 at infinity.
