Trajectory Planning for a Multi-UAV Rigid-Payload Cascaded Transportation System Based on Enhanced Tube-RRT*

This paper presents a two-stage trajectory planning framework for a multi-UAV rigid-payload cascaded transportation system, aiming to address planning challenges in densely cluttered environments. In Stage I, an Enhanced Tube-RRT* algorithm is developed by integrating active hybrid sampling and an adaptive expansion strategy, enabling rapid generation of a safe and feasible virtual tube in environments with dense obstacles. Moreover, a trajectory smoothness cost is explicitly incorporated into the edge cost to reduce excessive turns and thereby mitigate cable-induced oscillations. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed Enhanced Tube-RRT* achieves a higher success rate and effective sampling rate than mixed-sampling Tube-RRT* (STube-RRT*) and adaptive-extension Tube-RRT* (AETube-RRT*), while producing a shorter optimal path with a smaller cumulative turning angle. In Stage II, a convex quadratic program is formulated by considering payload translational and rotational dynamics, cable tension constraints, and collision-safety constraints, yielding a smooth, collision-free desired payload trajectory. Finally, a centralized geometric control scheme is applied to the cascaded system to validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed planning framework, offering a practical solution for payload attitude maneuvering in densely cluttered environments.

ImPart: Importance-Aware Delta-Sparsification for Improved Model Compression and Merging in LLMs

With the proliferation of task-specific large language models, delta compression has emerged as a method to mitigate the resource challenges of deploying numerous such models by effectively compressing the delta model parameters. Previous delta-sparsification methods either remove parameters randomly or truncate singular vectors directly after singular value decomposition (SVD). However, these methods either disregard parameter importance entirely or evaluate it with too coarse a granularity. In this work, we introduce ImPart, a novel importance-aware delta sparsification approach. Leveraging SVD, it dynamically adjusts sparsity ratios of different singular vectors based on their importance, effectively retaining crucial task-specific knowledge even at high sparsity ratios. Experiments show that ImPart achieves state-of-the-art delta sparsification performance, demonstrating $2\times$ higher compression ratio than baselines at the same performance level. When integrated with existing methods, ImPart sets a new state-of-the-art on delta quantization and model merging.

Multi-energy CT reconstruction using nonlocal total nuclear generalized variation

Multi-energy CT based on compression sensing theory with sparse-view sampling can effectively reduce radiation dose and maintain the quality of the reconstructed image. However, when the projection data are noisy, the reconstructed image can be still seriously degraded. In order to address this problem, we extend the total nuclear variation (TNV) regularization and propose the nonlocal total nuclear generalized variation (NLTNGV) regularization term. NLTNGV is constructed by using the low rank property of both the nonlocal Jacobian matrix and the local second derivative of the image at different energy spectrum, which can be seen as a more robust structure similarity measure. By employing NLTNGV,the proposed reconstruction method can effectively utilize the sparsity of nonlocal gradients and local second order derivatives and structural similarity of multi-energy CT images to effectively recover the image structure features in noisy case. The experimental results show that the proposed method can enhance the noise-resistant performance and preserve the fine details of the reconstructed images in comparison with TNV-based method.
