Decoupled domain-texture switching from magnetic easy axis in kagome ferromagnet EuTi3Bi4

Magnetic anisotropy defines the easy axis of a magnetic material and governs the spatial arrangement of its domains. To date, anisotropy engineering has focused on reorienting the easy axis or tuning the anisotropy energy, both of which demand substantial energy input. Here, we demonstrate that magnetic domain textures can be switched without reorienting the easy axis, as observed in a kagome ferromagnet EuTi3Bi4 crystal. Using low-temperature magnetic force microscopy, we observe that the preferred orientation of magnetic domains switches from the a-axis to the b-axis upon temperature variation, and that this switching can also be triggered by an out-of-plane magnetic-field reset. Magnetization measurements and density functional theory calculations confirm a robust c-axis easy magnetization, ruling out a conventional spin-reorientation transition. Instead, the texture switching is governed by the temperature dependence of the in-plane variation of the Magnetic anisotropy energy landscape, which arises from two competing interactions with different decay rates: single-ion anisotropy favors a-oriented spin components, while nearest-neighbor anisotropic exchange favors b-oriented ones. Furthermore, the critical switching temperature is substantially elevated in a mechanically exfoliated EuTi3Bi4 flake. Our findings establish that macroscopic magnetic textures can be effectively manipulated by tuning the competition between in-plane anisotropic interactions, without the energy cost of reorienting the easy axis.

Enhancing the Angular Resolution of Large Array of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope (LACT) at Ultra-High Energies

The Large Array of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (LACT) is dedicated to high-resolution morphological studies of PeVatrons. In this work, we present a fundamental investigation into stereoscopic direction reconstruction for the LACT array, specifically addressing the challenges of ultra-high-energy observations. We demonstrate that the standard Hillas parameterization introduces a significant reconstruction bias under severe image leakage. To mitigate this, we introduce an approach utilizing a 2D Gaussian fit, achieving an exceptional angular resolution of better than $0.06^\circ$ at $100\text{ TeV}$ within the central $0^\circ\text{--}1^\circ$ offset bin, and maintaining better than $0.12^\circ$ across offsets up to $4^{\circ}$. Building on this robust baseline, we evaluate advanced weighting schemes by utilizing a LightGBM-based quantile regression model to independently estimate single-image quality. Applying these quality-based weights yields a consistent improvement of $0.02^\circ$ to $0.03^\circ$ for high-energy, large-offset events using both the \textit{HillasWeightedSum} and \textit{HillasWeightedDisp} methods. Finally, to establish a theoretical performance ceiling, we explore a pixel-wise likelihood reconstruction technique utilizing Neural Ratio Estimation. While its practical realization depends heavily on minimizing the gap between Monte Carlo simulations and observational data, this exploratory approach demonstrates the potential to yield an overall improvement of approximately 15\% to 40\% at $100~\rm TeV$ across the entire field of view. Such high angular resolution is critical for disentangling complex emission regions and mapping the internal structures of PeVatrons.

HierKick: Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning for Vision-Guided Soccer Robot Control

Controlling soccer robots involves multi-time-scale decision-making, which requires balancing long-term tactical planning and short-term motion execution. Traditional end-to-end reinforcement learning (RL) methods face challenges in complex dynamic environments. This paper proposes HierKick, a vision-guided soccer robot control framework based on dual-frequency hierarchical RL. The framework adopts a hierarchical control architecture featuring a 5 Hz high-level policy that integrates YOLOv8 for real-time detection and selects tasks via a coach model, and a pre-trained 50 Hz low-level controller for precise joint control. Through this architecture, the framework achieves the four steps of approaching, aligning, dribbling, and kicking. Experimental results show that the success rates of this framework are 95.2\% in IsaacGym, 89.8\% in Mujoco, and 80\% in the real world. HierKick provides an effective hierarchical paradigm for robot control in complex environments, extendable to multi-time-scale tasks, with its modular design and skill reuse offering a new path for intelligent robot control.

Rethinking Security of Diffusion-based Generative Steganography

Generative image steganography is a technique that conceals secret messages within generated images, without relying on pre-existing cover images. Recently, a number of diffusion model-based generative image steganography (DM-GIS) methods have been introduced, which effectively combat traditional steganalysis techniques. In this paper, we identify the key factors that influence DM-GIS security and revisit the security of existing methods. Specifically, we first provide an overview of the general pipelines of current DM-GIS methods, finding that the noise space of diffusion models serves as the primary embedding domain. Further, we analyze the relationship between DM-GIS security and noise distribution of diffusion models, theoretically demonstrating that any steganographic operation that disrupts the noise distribution compromise DM-GIS security. Building on this insight, we propose a Noise Space-based Diffusion Steganalyzer (NS-DSer)-a simple yet effective steganalysis framework allowing for detecting DM-GIS generated images in the diffusion model noise space. We reevaluate the security of existing DM-GIS methods using NS-DSer across increasingly challenging detection scenarios. Experimental results validate our theoretical analysis of DM-GIS security and show the effectiveness of NS-DSer across diverse detection scenarios.

Extracting intrinsic superconducting properties in intercalated layered superconductors using an extended 2D Tinkham model

Bulk two dimensional (2D) superconductivity has gained considerable attention due to its intricate interplay between symmetry breaking, nontrivial topology, 2D phase fluctuations, and unconventional superconductivity. However, certain intercalated layered superconductors, despite their short c-axis superconducting coherence length, have been misclassified as anisotropic three-dimensional (3D) superconductors. Here, we investigate (Li,Fe)OHFeSe superconductors with varying degrees of interlayer misalignment, revealing sample-dependent superconducting dimensionality while consistently observing Berezinskii Kosterlitz Thouless (BKT) transitions. To resolve this discrepancy, we develop an extended 2D Tinkham model that quantitatively captures the blurring effects induced by interlayer misalignment. We further demonstrate the validity of this model in both (Li,Fe)OHFeSe and cetyltrimethyl ammonium (CTA+) intercalated (CTA)0.5SnSe2 superconductors, highlighting its broad applicability. This work provides valuable insights into bulk 2D superconductivity and establishes an extended 2D Tinkham model for quantitatively extracting intrinsic superconducting properties in intercalated layered superconductors, particularly those exhibiting significant interlayer misalignments.

Layout optimization and Performance of Large Array of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope (LACT)

Large Array of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope (LACT) is an array of 32 Cherenkov telescopes with 6-meter diameter mirrors to be constructed at the LHAASO site. In this work, we present a study on the layout optimization and performance analysis of LACT. We investigate two observation modes: large zenith angle observations for ultra-high energy events and small zenith angle observations for lower energy thresholds. For large zenith angles (60{\deg}), simulations show that an 8-telescope subarray can achieve an effective area of $3 ~\rm km^2$ and excellent angular resolution. For small zenith angles, we optimize the layout of 4-telescope cells and the full 32-telescope array. The threshold of the full array is about $200~\rm GeV$, which is particularly crucial for studying transient phenomena, including gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and active galactic nuclei (AGNs). This study provides important guidance for the final LACT layout design and performance estimates under different observational conditions, demonstrating LACT's potential for deep observations of ultra-high energy \gray sources and morphological studies of PeVatrons, as well as time-domain \gray astronomy.

Plug-and-Hide: Provable and Adjustable Diffusion Generative Steganography

Diffusion model-based generative image steganography (DM-GIS) is an emerging paradigm that leverages the generative power of diffusion models to conceal secret messages without requiring pre-existing cover images. In this paper, we identify a fundamental trade-off between stego image quality, steganographic security, and extraction reliability within the DM-GIS framework. Drawing on this insight, we propose \textbf{PA-B2G}, a \textbf{P}rovable and \textbf{A}djustable \textbf{B}it-to-\textbf{G}aussian mapping. Theoretically, PA-B2G guarantees the reversible encoding of arbitrary-length bit sequences into pure Gaussian noise; practically, it enables fine-grained control over the balance between image fidelity, security, and extraction accuracy. By integrating PA-B2G with probability-flow ordinary differential equations (PF-ODEs), we establish a theoretically invertible mapping between secret bitstreams and stego images. PA-B2G is model-agnostic and can be seamlessly integrated into mainstream diffusion models without additional training or fine-tuning, making it also suitable for diffusion model watermarking. Extensive experiments validate our theoretical analysis of the inherent DM-GIS trade-offs and demonstrate that our method flexibly supports arbitrary payloads while achieving competitive image quality and security. Furthermore, our method exhibits strong resilience to lossy processing in watermarking applications, highlighting its practical utility.

Prospects for joint reconstruction of imaging air Cherenkov Telescope array and extensive air shower array

In this paper we proposed a joint reconstruction of \gray events using both extensive air array (EAS) and Imaging air Cherenkov Telescope array (IACT). We considered eight Cherenkov telescopes to be built on the LHAASO (Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory) site and investigate the improvement in differential sensitivity when combining the information from both IACT and Moun detectors of LHAASO-KM2A. We found that due to the higher cosmic ray background rejection power and higher gamma ray retention ratio provided by muon detectors of LHAASO, such a joint reconstruction can significantly improve the sensitivity of IACTs, especially for extended sources and long exposure time. In this article, we have shown the performance of an eight-telescopes mini array, and our results indicate that above $10~\rm TeV$, the sensitivity can be improved by muon detector from $25\% - 60\%$ in different energy ranges.

Exploring Parent's Needs for Children-Centered AI to Support Preschoolers' Interactive Storytelling and Reading Activities

Interactive storytelling is vital for preschooler development. While children's interactive partners have traditionally been their parents and teachers, recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have sparked a surge of AI-based storytelling and reading technologies. As these technologies become increasingly ubiquitous in preschoolers' lives, questions arise regarding how they function in practical storytelling and reading scenarios and, how parents, the most critical stakeholders, experience and perceive these technologies. This paper investigates these questions through a qualitative study with 17 parents of children aged 3-6. Our findings suggest that even though AI-based storytelling and reading technologies provide more immersive and engaging interaction, they still cannot meet parents' expectations due to a series of interactive and algorithmic challenges. We elaborate on these challenges and discuss the possible implications of future AI-based interactive storytelling technologies for preschoolers.

Quantum Oscillations in kagome metals CsTi3Bi5 and RbTi3Bi5

We report quantum oscillation measurements on the kagome compounds ATi$_3$Bi$_5$ (A=Rb, Cs) in magnetic fields up to 41.5 T and temperatures down to 350 mK. In addition to the frequencies observed in previous studies, we have observed multiple unreported frequencies above 2000 T in CsTi$_3$Bi$_5$ using a tunnel diode oscillator technique. We compare these results against density functional theory calculations and find good agreement with the calculations in the number of peaks observed, frequency, and the dimensionality of the Fermi surface. For RbTi$_3$Bi$_5$ we have obtained a different quantum oscillation spectrum, although calculated quantum oscillation frequencies for the Rb compound are remarkably similar to the Cs compound, calling for further studies.

Quasi two-dimensional nature of high-Tc superconductivity in iron-based (Li,Fe)OHFeSe

The intercalated iron selenide (Li,Fe)OHFeSe has a strongly layered structure analogous to the quasi two-dimensional (2D) bismuth cuprate superconductors, and exhibits both high-temperature (Tc) and topological superconductivity. However, the issue of its superconductivity dimensionality has not yet been fully investigated so far. Here we report that the quasi-2D superconductivity features, including the high anisotropy {\gamma} = 151 and the associated quasi-2D vortices, are also revealed for (Li,Fe)OHFeSe, based on systematic experiments of the electrical transport and magnetization and model fittings. Thus, we establish a new vortex phase diagram for (Li,Fe)OHFeSe, which delineates an emergent quasi-2D vortex-liquid state, and a subsequent vortex-solid dimensional crossover from a pancake-like to a three-dimensional state with decreasing temperature and magnetic field. Furthermore, we find that all the quasi-2D characteristics revealed here for the high-Tc iron selenide superconductor are very similar to those reported for the high-Tc bismuth cuprate superconductors.

Superconductivity and orbital-selective nematic order in a new titanium-based kagome metal CsTi3Bi5

Fabrication of new types of superconductors with novel physical properties has always been a major thread in the research of superconducting materials. An example is the enormous interests generated by the cascade of correlated topological quantum states in the newly discovered vanadium-based kagome superconductors AV3Sb5 (A=K, Rb, and Cs) with a Z2 topological band structure. Here we report the successful fabrication of single-crystals of titanium-based kagome metal CsTi3Bi5 and the observation of superconductivity and electronic nematicity. The onset of the superconducting transition temperature Tc is around 4.8 K. In sharp contrast to the charge density wave superconductor AV3Sb5, we find that the kagome superconductor CsTi3Bi5 preserves translation symmetry, but breaks rotational symmetry and exhibits an electronic nematicity. The angular-dependent magnetoresistivity shows a remarkable two-fold rotational symmetry as the magnetic field rotates in the kagome plane. The scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopic imaging detect rotational-symmetry breaking C2 quasiparticle interference patterns (QPI) at low energies, providing further microscopic evidence for electronic nematicity. Combined with first-principle calculations, we find that the nematic QPI is orbital-selective and dominated by the Ti dxz and dyz orbitals, possibly originating from the intriguing orbital bond nematic order. Our findings in the new "135" material CsTi3Bi5 provide new directions for exploring the multi-orbital correlation effect and the role of orbital or bond order in the electron liquid crystal phases evidenced by the symmetry breaking states in kagome superconductors.

Titanium-based kagome superconductor CsTi_3Bi_5 and topological states

Since the discovery of a new family of vanadium-based kagome superconductor AV3Sb5 (A=K, Rb, and Cs) with topological band structures, extensive effort has been devoted to exploring the origin of superconducting states and the intertwined orders. Meanwhile, searching for new types of superconductors with novel physical properties and higher superconducting transition temperatures has always been a major thread in the history of superconductor research. Here we report a successful fabrication and the topological states of a Titanium-based kagome metal CsTi3Bi5 (CT3B5) crystal. The as-grown CT3B5 crystal is of high quality and possesses a perfect two-dimensional kagome net of Titanium. The superconductivity of the CT3B5 crystal shows that the critical temperature Tc is of ~4.8 K. First-principle calculations predict that the CT3B5 has robust topological surface states, implying that CT3B5 is a Z2 topological kagome superconductor. This finding provides a new type of superconductors and the base for exploring the origin of superconductivity and topological states in kagome superconductors.

Ultrasound Liver Fibrosis Diagnosis using Multi-indicator guided Deep Neural Networks

Accurate analysis of the fibrosis stage plays very important roles in follow-up of patients with chronic hepatitis B infection. In this paper, a deep learning framework is presented for automatically liver fibrosis prediction. On contrary of previous works, our approach can take use of the information provided by multiple ultrasound images. An indicator-guided learning mechanism is further proposed to ease the training of the proposed model. This follows the workflow of clinical diagnosis and make the prediction procedure interpretable. To support the training, a dataset is well-collected which contains the ultrasound videos/images, indicators and labels of 229 patients. As demonstrated in the experimental results, our proposed model shows its effectiveness by achieving the state-of-the-art performance, specifically, the accuracy is 65.6%(20% higher than previous best).

The Correlated Multi-color Optical Variations of BL Lac Object S5 0716+714

S5 0716+714 is a well-studied BL Lac object in the sky. Verifying the existence of correlations among the flux variations in different bands serves as an important tool to investigate the emission processes. To examine the possible existence of a lag between variations in different optical bands on this source, we employ a discrete correlation function (DCF) analysis on the light curves. In order to obtain statistically meaningful values for the cross-correlation time lags and their related uncertainties, we perform Monte Carlo simulations called "flux redistribution/random subset selection" (FR/RSS). Our analysis confirms that the variations in different optical light curves are strongly correlated. The time lags show a hint of the variations in high frequency band leading those in low frequency band of the order of a few minutes.
