Light sea-quark flavor asymmetry and angular momentum of the nucleon in a scalar-vector spectator model

We present a light-front spectator model that describes the proton as an active sea antiquark paired with a composite scalar-vector spectator. Using a spatial profile based on soft-wall AdS/QCD, we fit our initial parameters to CT18NNLO data and Bacchetta-Radici extractions at an initial scale of $μ_0^2=1.0~\text{GeV}^2$. By allowing these parameters to evolve dynamically, we extend our distributions up to $μ^2=100~\text{GeV}^2$. We specifically calculate the sea-quark asymmetry at the SeaQuest scale, predicting a sustained $\bar{d}$ enhancement at high $x$ that is in excellent agreement with recent E906 measurements. Additionally, we calculate the leading chiral-even generalized parton distributions (GPDs) and evaluate the total angular momentum carried by the sea quarks, comparing our findings with established results.

Exploring twist-3 chiral even generalized parton distributions of light sea quarks in the proton using the light front model

We develop a light-front model of the proton to investigate the twist-3 chiral-even generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of light sea quarks. In this framework, sea quarks are treated as spin-\(\frac{1}{2}\) active partons, while the remaining proton constituents are modeled as spin-1 spectators. The light-front momentum wave function, derived from the soft-wall AdS/QCD approach, is fitted to unpolarized parton distribution functions (PDFs) from the CETQ global analysis to constrain the model parameters. To further validate the model, we analyze the sea quark flavor asymmetry through the difference \(\bar{d}(x) - \bar{u}(x)\) and the ratio \(\bar{d}(x)/\bar{u}(x)\), achieving good agreement with known phenomenological trends. Using this fitted distribution, we compute the twist-3 chiral-even GPDs and examine their dependence on the transverse momentum transfer \(\boldsymbol{Δ_T}\) and the longitudinal momentum fraction \(x\). In addition, we evaluate the twist-3 chiral-even PDF \(g_T(x)\) within this framework. The contribution of sea quarks to the proton's orbital angular momentum is also investigated and compared with existing results in the literature.

Subleading Twist-3 Gluon Generalized Parton Distributions in the Light-Front Model

We present a calculation of the twist-3 generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for gluons in the proton. Our analysis is performed within a light-front constituent model where the proton is treated as a two-body state of a spin-1 gluon and a spin-1/2 spectator system. The requisite light-front wave functions are derived from the soft-wall AdS/QCD correspondence. We compute the complete set of twist-3 gluon GPDs over a broad kinematic range. The corresponding distributions in impact parameter space are obtained via Fourier transform, revealing the transverse spatial distribution of gluons. Furthermore, we evaluate the contribution of these GPDs to the gluon kinetic orbital angular momentum (OAM) and compare our findings with other theoretical predictions.

Exclusive $J/Ψ$ and $ρ^0$ vector meson production using BK evolution theory

Exclusive diffractive processes, such as exclusive vector meson production, serve as excellent probes of hadron structure within the perturbative regime of quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The exclusive process involving light and heavy vector mesons, $e p \rightarrow e V(V=J/Ψ,ρ,ϕ)$, has been investigated at the HERA accelerator facility. In this study, we focus on the theoretical prediction of exclusive $J/Ψ$ and $ρ^0$ vector meson production. Employing the color dipole description of deep inelastic scattering (DIS), we calculate both the differential cross-section and total cross-section of $J/Ψ$ and $ρ^0$ vector mesons, employing an analytical solution of the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. Furthermore, we present the ratio of the longitudinal to the transverse cross-section for $J/Ψ$ and $ρ^0$ as a function of $Q^2$. Two well-known vector meson wave function models, Boosted Gaussian (BG) and Gaus-LC, have been integrated into our analysis, showing slight sensitivity to the chosen vector meson wave functions. Our theoretical predictions agree well with the available experimental data for vector meson production. The analytical solution of the BK equation proves reliable for the theoretical prediction of exclusive vector mesons within a specific range of $Q^2$.

Investigation of proton structure function $F_2 ^p$ at HERA in light of an analytical solution to Balitsky-Kovchegov equation

In this paper, the proton structure function $F_2 ^p (x,Q^2)$ at small-$x$ is investigated using an analytical solution of the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. In the context of the color dipole description of deep inelastic scattering (DIS), the structure function $F_2 ^p (x,Q^2)$ is computed by applying the analytical expression for the scattering amplitude $N(k,Y)$ derived from the BK solution. At transverse momentum $k$ and total rapidity $Y$, the scattering amplitude $N(k,Y)$ represents the propagation of the quark-antiquark dipole in the color dipole description of DIS. Using the BK solution we extracted the integrated gluon density $xg(x,Q^2)$ and then compared our theoretical estimation with the LHAPDF global data fits NNPDF3.1sx and CT18. Finally, we investigated the behavior of $F_2 ^p (x,Q^2)$ in the kinematic region of $10^{-5} \leq x \leq 10^{-2}$ and $2.5$ $GeV^{2}$ $\leq$ $Q^2$ $\leq$ $60$ $GeV^{2}$. Our predicted results for $F_2 ^p (x,Q^2)$ within the specified kinematic region are in good agreement with the recent high-precision data for $F_2 ^p (x,Q^2)$ from HERA (H1 Collaboration) and the LHAPDF global parametrization group NNPDF3.1sx.

An analytical solution of Balitsky-Kovchegov equation using homotopy perturbation method

An approximate analytical solution of the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation using the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is suggested in this work. We have carried out our work in perturbative QCD (pQCD) dipole picture of deep inelastic scattering (DIS). The BK equation in momentum space with some change of variables and truncation of the BFKL (Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov) kernel can be reduced to the FKPP (Fisher-Kolmogorov-Petrovsky-Piscounov) equation [Munier and Peschanski 2003]. The observed geometric scaling phenomena are similar to the travelling wave solution of the FKPP equation. We solved the BK equation using the HPM. The obtained solution in this work also suggests the travelling wave nature of the measured scattering amplitude N(k, Y) plotted at various rapidities. The result obtained in this work can be helpful for different phenomenological studies in high-density QCD.

On analytical solutions of the DIS structure functions in the framework of GLR-MQ-ZRS equation

We computed the deep inelastic scattering (DIS) structure functions $F_2 (x,Q^2)$ and $F_L (x,Q^2)$ in the framework of Gribov-Levin-Ryskin-Mueller-Qiu, Zhu-Ruan-Shen (GLR-MQ-ZRS) equation. Both $x$ and $Q^2$ evolutions of the structure functions are studied in the kinematic range of $10^{-6}\leq x \leq 10^{-2}$ and $5 \leq Q^2 \leq 100\,,GeV^2$ respectively. we have suggested analytical solutions to the structure functions, our results are inspired by Regge like behaviour of gluons at small-x. The solutions of structure functions are obtained for two particular cases: (i) treating the strong coupling constant $α_s$ as an arbitrary constant, and (ii) considering the $Q^2$ dependency of $α_s$. Our predicted results are in good agreement with the latest available high precision HERA data.

Normal hierarchy neutrino mass model revisited with leptogenesis

We have studied the scenario of baryogenesis via leptogenesis in an $A_4$ flavor symmetric framework considering type I seesaw as the origin of neutrino mass. Because of the presence of the fifth generation right handed neutrino the model naturally generates non-zero reactor mixing angle. We have considered two vev alignments for the extra flavon $η$ and studied the consequences in detail. As a whole the additional flavon along with the extra right handed neutrinos allow us to study thermal leptogenesis by the decay of the lightest right handed neutrino present in the model. We have computed the matter-antimatter asymmetry for both flavor dependent and flavor independent leptogenesis by considering a considerably wider range of right handed neutrino mass. Finally, we correlate the baryon asymmetry of the universe (BAU) with the model parameters and light neutrino masses.

Small-x behavior of non-singlet spin structure function and Bjorken sum rule with pQCD correction up to NNLO and Higher twist correction

A calculation of the non-singlet part of spin dependent structure function, $xg_1^{NS}(x,Q^2)$ and associated sum rule, the Bjorken Sum rule up to next-next-to-leading order(NNLO) is presented. We use a unified approach incorporating Regge theory and the theoretical framework of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. Using a Regge behaved model with $Q^2$ dependent intercept as the initial input, we have solved the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equation up to NNLO at small-$x$ for $xg_1^{NS}(x,Q^2)$ and the solutions are utilised to calculate the polarised Bjorken sum rule(BSR). We have also extracted the higher twist contribution to BSR based on a simple parametrisation. These results for both of $xg_1^{NS}(x,Q^2)$ and BSR, along with higher twist corrections are observed to be consistent with the available data taken from SMC, E143, HERMES, COMPASS and JLab experiments. In addition, our results are also compared with that of other theoretical and phenomenological analysis based on different models and a very good agreement is also observed in this regard. Further a very good consistency between our calculated results and theoretical QCD predictions of BSR is also achieved.
