QCD sum rule analysis of hidden strange $1^{++}$ tetraquark masses and radial excitations

We revisit the light tetraquark states with quantum numbers $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ using QCD sum rules, focusing on a complete set of derivative-free diquark-antidiquark interpolating currents. By calculating the operator product expansion up to dimension-eight condensates, we extract the ground-state mass of the hidden-strange $us\bar{u}\bar{s}$ tetraquark from both Laplace sum rules (LSR) and finite-energy sum rules (FESR). Our combined analysis yields $M_{us\bar{u}\bar{s}} = 1.45\pm0.11$~GeV, which agrees well with the mass of the $a_1(1420)$ resonance and supports its tetraquark interpretation. Furthermore, we perform Gaussian sum rule (GSR) analyses to probe radial excitations, adopting a two-resonance narrow-width model. The GSR fit reveals a heavier state with mass $m_2 = 1.86\pm0.12$~GeV and a relative coupling $r = 0.15\pm0.03$ for the lighter state, indicating that the $a_1(1930)$ is a promising candidate for a compact $1^{++}$ tetraquark. We also discuss the dominant decay modes of these tetraquark candidates, emphasizing hidden-strange channels such as $K^*K$ and $f_0(980)\pi$, which can be tested in future experiments.

$2^{++}$ Light Tensor Hybrid Meson from QCD Laplace Sum Rules

We present an analysis of the light tensor ($J^{PC}=2^{++}$) hybrid meson mass and coupling from QCD Laplace Sum Rules where the next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative (PT) corrections and the contributions of the non-perturbative (NP) condensates up to dimension-six ($D=6$) are included. NLO leading-logarithms corrections due to the condensates which contribute in the chiral limit are considered. We obtain the mass $M_{2^+}= (2038\pm 190)$ MeV and a relatively small coupling $f_{2^+}=(10.5\pm 2.9)$ MeV normalized as $f_\pi=93$ MeV. Our results suggest that the $f_2(1950)$ or/and the $f'_2(2010)$ may have a sizeable $\bar qqg$ hybrid component. We also compute the tensor hybrid topological charge (value of the two-point function at zero momentum) and find (for the first time) at NLO: $\Pi_{qg}(0)=(2.41\pm 0.43) \times 10^{-4}{\rm GeV}^6$ which could be checked from some lattice QCD or/and low energy theorems (LET).

LASANA: Large-Scale Surrogate Modeling for Analog Neuromorphic Architecture Exploration

Neuromorphic systems using in-memory or event-driven computing are motivated by the need for more energy-efficient processing of artificial intelligence workloads. Emerging neuromorphic architectures aim to combine traditional digital designs with the computational efficiency of analog computing and novel device technologies. A crucial problem in the rapid exploration and co-design of such architectures is the lack of tools for fast and accurate modeling and simulation. Typical mixed-signal design tools integrate a digital simulator with an analog solver like SPICE, which is prohibitively slow for large systems. By contrast, behavioral modeling of analog components is faster, but existing approaches are fixed to specific architectures with limited energy and performance modeling. In this paper, we propose LASANA, a novel approach that leverages machine learning to derive data-driven surrogate models of analog sub-blocks in a digital backend architecture. LASANA uses SPICE-level simulations of a circuit to train ML models that predict circuit energy, performance, and behavior at analog/digital interfaces. Such models can provide energy and performance annotation on top of existing behavioral models or function as replacements to analog simulation. We apply LASANA to an analog crossbar array and a spiking neuron circuit. Running MNIST and spiking MNIST, LASANA surrogates demonstrate up to three orders of magnitude speedup over SPICE, with energy, latency, and behavioral error less than 7%, 8%, and 2%, respectively.

Mass Predictions of Open-Flavour Hybrid Mesons from QCD Sum Rules

Within QCD, colourless states may be constructed corresponding to exotic matter outside of the traditional quark model. Experiments have recently observed tetraquark and pentaquark states, but no definitive hybrid meson signals have been observed. With the construction of the PANDA experiment at FAIR, and with full commissioning of the GlueX experiment at JLab expected to be completed this year, the opportunity for the observation of hybrid mesons has greatly increased. However, theoretical calculations are necessary to ascertain the identity of any experimental resonances that may be observed. We present selected QCD sum rule results from a full range of quantum numbers for open-flavour hybrid mesons with heavy valence quark content, including non-perturbative condensate contributions up to six-dimensions.
