Secure Transmission for Fluid Antenna-Aided ISAC Systems

Fluid antenna (FA) has become a highly promising technology and has recently been used to enhance the integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. However, the scenario where sensing targets act as eavesdroppers in ISAC and how to maximize the sum secrecy rate has not been addressed. This letter investigates secure transmission in FA-aided ISAC systems, where the spatial agility of FAs enables enhanced physical layer security. We jointly optimize antenna position vector (APV) and beamforming to maximize the multiuser sum secrecy rate, which complicates the solution process. To solve the resulting non-convex problem, we use a block successive upper-bound minimization (BSUM) algorithm, which incorporates the proximal distance algorithm (PDA) for closed-form beamformer updates and extrapolated projected gradient (EPG) for APV optimization. Simulation results show that the proposed FA-ISAC scheme achieves over 20$\%$ sum secrecy rate gain compared to fixed-position antenna (FPA) systems.

SoundnessBench: A Soundness Benchmark for Neural Network Verifiers

Neural network (NN) verification aims to formally verify properties of NNs, which is crucial for ensuring the behavior of NN-based models in safety-critical applications. In recent years, the community has developed many NN verifiers and benchmarks to evaluate them. However, existing benchmarks typically lack ground-truth for hard instances where no current verifier can verify the property and no counterexample can be found. This makes it difficult to validate the soundness of a verifier, when it claims verification on such challenging instances that no other verifier can handle. In this work, we develop a new benchmark for NN verification, named SoundnessBench, specifically for testing the soundness of NN verifiers. SoundnessBench consists of instances with deliberately inserted counterexamples that are hidden from adversarial attacks commonly used to find counterexamples. Thereby, it can identify false verification claims when hidden counterexamples are known to exist. We design a training method to produce NNs with hidden counterexamples and systematically construct our SoundnessBench with instances across various model architectures, activation functions, and input data. We demonstrate that our training effectively produces hidden counterexamples and our SoundnessBench successfully identifies bugs in state-of-the-art NN verifiers. Cuboid-Net: A Multi-Branch Convolutional Neural Network for Joint Space-Time Video Super Resolution

The demand for high-resolution videos has been consistently rising across various domains, propelled by continuous advancements in science, technology, and societal. Nonetheless, challenges arising from limitations in imaging equipment capabilities, imaging conditions, as well as economic and temporal factors often result in obtaining low-resolution images in particular situations. Space-time video super-resolution aims to enhance the spatial and temporal resolutions of low-resolution and low-frame-rate videos. The currently available space-time video super-resolution methods often fail to fully exploit the abundant information existing within the spatio-temporal domain. To address this problem, we tackle the issue by conceptualizing the input low-resolution video as a cuboid structure. Drawing on this perspective, we introduce an innovative methodology called "Cuboid-Net," which incorporates a multi-branch convolutional neural network. Cuboid-Net is designed to collectively enhance the spatial and temporal resolutions of videos, enabling the extraction of rich and meaningful information across both spatial and temporal dimensions. Specifically, we take the input video as a cuboid to generate different directional slices as input for different branches of the network. The proposed network contains four modules, i.e., a multi-branch-based hybrid feature extraction (MBFE) module, a multi-branch-based reconstruction (MBR) module, a first stage quality enhancement (QE) module, and a second stage cross frame quality enhancement (CFQE) module for interpolated frames only. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is not only effective for spatial and temporal super-resolution of video but also for spatial and angular super-resolution of light field.
