Propagation of Chaos for Mean-field Mean Reflected Backward Stochastic Differential Equations

In this paper, we establish a propagation of chaos result for mean-field mean reflected backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs), where both the generator and constraint depend on the distribution of the solution. When the generator does not rely on $z$, under mild Lipschitz and integrability conditions, we prove existence and uniqueness of the solution to the interacting particle system for general reflections. We are able to consider the case where the generator depends on $z$ when the reflection is linear. In both cases, we obtain the convergence rate of solution to the interacting particle system towards the solution to the mean-field mean reflected BSDEs.

Mean-Field Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Nonlinear Resistance and Double Mean Reflections

In this paper, we investigate mean-field backward stochastic differential equation (MFBSDE) with double mean reflections and nonlinear resistance. Specifically, the constraints are formulated in terms of the expectation of the solution, and a compensating term is incorporated into the generator. We establish the existence and uniqueness for both the case of Lipschitz generator and the case where the generator is quadratic and the terminal value is bounded. Finally, when the compensating term is absolutely continuous, we study the well-posedness of a variant type of doubly mean reflected MFBSDE with nonlinear resistance, whose generator depends on the density function of the compensating term.

Doubly Reflected Backward SDEs Driven by $G$-Brownian Motion with Quadratic Generator

In this paper, we study the doubly reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by $G$-Brownian motion ($G$-BSDEs for short) when the generator has quadratic growth in the $z$-component. Based on the theory of $G$-BMO martingale and $G$-Girsanov theorem, we establish the existence and uniqueness result when the upper obstacle is almost a generalized $G$-It\^{o}'s process. Moreover, the solution can be approximated monotonically by the solutions to a family of penalized reflected $G$-BSDEs with a lower obstacle, which plays an important role to establish the relation between doubly reflected $G$-BSDEs and fully nonlinear partial differential equations with double obstacles.

Reflected Stochastic Differential Equations Driven by G-Brownian Motion with Nonlinear Constraints

In this paper, we study the reflected stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (reflected G-SDEs) with two nonlinear constraints. With the help of the Skorokhod problem with nonlinear constraints, we first study the doubly reflected G-Brownian motion, which is constructed pathwise and lies in the same G-expectation space as the G-Brownian motion. For the reflected G-SDE, the uniqueness is derived from some a priori estimate and the existence is obtained by a Picard iteration method. The comparison theorem of the solution and the individual constraining processes are provided.

Conditional Reflected Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Two Barriers

In this paper, we study the doubly conditional reflected backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs), where constraints are made on the conditional expectation of the first component of the solution with respect to a general subfiltration. With the help of the Skorokhod problem on a time-dependent interval and the Dynkin game in a general framework, we establish the existence and uniqueness result under the Mokobodski condition for the obstacles. The relation between the conditional expectation of the solution and the value function of a certain Dynkin game with partial information is obtained. As a by-product, we obtain a weaker version of the comparison theorem. Finally, we provide an application to the starting and stopping problem in reversible investments under partial information.

Conditional Expectation Backward Stochastic Differential Equations and Related Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Conditional Reflection

In this paper, we introduce a new type of backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs), called conditional expectation BSDEs, whose drivers depend not only on the value of the solutions but also on their conditional expectations with respect to a certain sub-{\sigma}-algebra. The collection of these sub-{\sigma}-algebra forms a subfiltration, which stands for partial information that is common for decision making applications. The classical BSDEs and the mean-field BSDEs can be regarded as two special and extreme cases of conditional expectation BSDEs. We establish the well-posedness for conditional expectation BSDEs under mild conditions and discuss the comparison results. Then, we provide an alternative construction for the solutions to conditional reflected BSDEs without the left-continuity assumption for the subfiltration, which can be seen as the limit of a sequence of penalized conditional expectation BSDEs.

Multi-Task Temporal Fusion Transformer for Joint Sales and Inventory Forecasting in Amazon E-Commerce Supply Chain

Efficient inventory management and accurate sales forecasting are critical challenges in large-scale e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, where stockouts and overstocking can lead to substantial financial losses and operational inefficiencies. Traditional single-task forecasting models, which focus solely on sales or inventory, often fail to capture the complex temporal dependencies and cross-task interactions that characterize real-world supply chain dynamics. To address this limitation, this study proposes a Multi-Task Temporal Fusion Transformer (TFT-MTL) framework designed for joint sales and inventory forecasting within the Amazon e-commerce ecosystem. The model integrates heterogeneous data sources, including historical sales records, warehouse inventory levels, pricing, promotions, and event-driven factors such as holidays and Prime Day campaigns, through a unified deep learning architecture. A shared encoder captures long-term temporal patterns, while task-specific decoder heads predict sales volume, inventory turnover, and stockout probability simultaneously. Experiments on large-scale real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed TFT-MTL model significantly outperforms baseline methods such as LSTM, GRU, and single-task TFT. Compared with the single-task TFT model, the proposed approach achieves a 6.2% reduction in Sales RMSE, a 12.7% decrease in Sales MAPE, a 6.4% reduction in Inventory RMSE, and a 12.4% decrease in Inventory MAPE. These results confirm the model's ability to effectively capture multi-dimensional dependencies across supply chain variables. The proposed framework provides an interpretable, data-driven decision support tool for optimizing Amazon's inventory scheduling and demand planning strategies.

Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Nonlinear Expectation Reflection

In this paper, we study a kind of constrained backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) such that the nonlinear expectation of the composition of a loss function and the solution remains above zero. The existence and uniqueness result is established with the help of the Skorokhod problem and the method of contraction mapping. We provide the comparison properties for the pointwise value of the solutions and the expectation of the solutions, respectively. In addition, a similar BSDE with risk measure reflection is proposed, which can be applied to the superhedging for contingent claims under risk management constraints.

Mean-field BSDEs with non-Lipschitz coefficients and double mean reflections

The present paper is devoted to the study of mean-field backward stochastic differential equations (MFBSDEs) with double mean reflections whose generators are not Lipschitz continuous. With the help of the Skorokhod problem and some a priori estimates for MFBSDEs, we establish the existence and uniqueness results for doubly mean reflected MFBSDEs.

Mean Field Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Double Mean Reflections

In this paper, we analyze the mean field backward stochastic differential equations (MFBSDEs) with double mean reflections, whose generator and constraints both depend on the distribution of the solution. When the generator is Lipschitz continuous, based on the backward Skorokhod problem with nonlinear constraints, we investigate the solvability of the doubly mean reflected MFBSDEs by constructing a contraction mapping. Furthermore, if the constraints are linear, the solution can also be constructed by a penalization method. For the case of quadratic growth, we obtain the existence and uniqueness results by using a fixed-point argument, the BMO martingale theory and the {\theta}-method.

Optimal Consumption for Recursive Preferences with Local Substitution under Risk

We explore intertemporal preferences that are recursive and account for local intertemporal substitution. First, we establish a rigorous foundation for these preferences and analyze their properties. Next, we examine the associated optimal consumption problem, proving the existence and uniqueness of the optimal consumption plan. We present an infinite-dimensional version of the Kuhn-Tucker theorem, which provides the necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality. Additionally, we investigate quantitative properties and the construction of the optimal consumption plan. Finally, we offer a detailed description of the structure of optimal consumption within a geometric Poisson framework.

Reflected backward stochastic differential equations with rough drivers

In this paper, we investigate reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by rough paths (rough RBSDEs), which can be viewed as probabilistic representations of nonlinear rough partial differential equations (rough PDEs) or stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) with obstacles. Furthermore, we demonstrate that solutions to rough RBSDEs solve the corresponding optimal stopping problems within a rough framework. This development provides effective and practical tools for pricing American options in the context of the rough volatility model, thus playing a crucial role in advancing the understanding and application of option pricing in complex market regimes. The well-posedness of rough RBSDEs is established using a variant of the Doss-Sussman transformation. Moreover, we show that rough RBSDEs can be approximated by a sequence of penalized BSDEs with rough drivers. For applications, we first develop the viscosity solution theory for rough PDEs with obstacles via rough RBSDEs. Second, we solve the corresponding optimal stopping problem and establish its connection with an American option pricing problem in the rough path setting.

Mean Reflected Backward Stochastic Differential Equations Driven by G-Brownian Motion with Double Constraints

In this paper, we study the backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion with double mean reflections, which means that the constraints are made on the law of the solution. Making full use of the backward Skorokhod problem with two nonlinear reflecting boundaries and the fixed-point theory, the existence and uniqueness of solutions are established. We also consider the case where the coefficients satisfy a non-Lipschitz condition using the Picard iteration argument only for the Y component. Moreover, some basic properties including a new version of comparison theorem and connection with a deterministic optimization problem are also obtained.

Propagation of chaos for doubly mean reflected BSDEs

In this paper, we establish propagation of chaos (POC) for doubly mean reflected backward stochastic differential equations (MRBSDEs). MRBSDEs differentiate the typical RBSDEs in that the constraint is not on the paths of the solution but on its law. This unique property has garnered significant attention since the inception of MRBSDEs. Rather than directly investigating these equations, we focus on approximating them by interacting particle systems (IPS). We propose two sets of IPS having mean-field Skorokhod problems, capturing the dynamics of IPS reflected in a mean-field way. As the dimension of the IPS tends to infinity, the POC phenomenon emerges, indicating that the system converges to a limit with independent particles, where each solves the MRBSDE. Beyond establishing the first POC result for doubly MRBSDEs, we achieve distinct convergence speeds under different scenarios.

Backward Stochastic Differential Equations with Double Mean Reflections

In this paper, we study the backward stochastic differential equation (BSDE) with two nonlinear mean reflections, which means that the constraints are imposed on the distribution of the solution but not on its paths. Based on the backward Skorokhod problem with nonlinear constraints, we obtain the existence and uniqueness result by constructing a contraction mapping. When the constraints are linear, the solution can be approximated by a family of penalized mean-field BSDEs.

The Skorokhod problem with two nonlinear constraints

In this paper, we study the Skorokhod problem with two constraints, where the constraints are in a nonlinear fashion. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution and also provide the explicit construction for the solution. In addition, a number of properties of the solution, including continuity under uniform and J1 metrics, comparison principle and non-anticipatory property, are investigated.

Stochastic Differential Equations Driven by G-Brownian Motion with Mean Reflections

In this paper, we study the mean reflected stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion, where the constraint depends on the expectation of the solution rather than on its paths. Well-posedness is achieved by first investigating the Skorokhod problem with mean reflection under G-expectation. Two approaches to constructing the solution are introduced, both offering insights into desired properties and aiding in the application of the contraction mapping method.

Reflected BSDEs driven by G-Brownian motion with non-Lipschitz coefficients

In this paper, we consider the reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (reflected G-BSDEs) whose coefficients satisfy the beta-order Mao's condition. The uniqueness is obtained by some a priori estimates and the existence can be proved by two different methods. The first one is Picard iteration and the second one is approximation via penalization. The latter construction is useful to get the comparison theorem.
