Observational constraints on the interacting dark energy - dark matter (IDM) cosmological models

Particle creation (or annihilation) mechanisms, described by either quantum field theoretical models, or by the thermodynamics of irreversible processes, play an important role in the evolution of the early Universe, like, for example, in the warm inflationary scenario. Following a similar approach, based on the thermodynamics of open systems, in the present work we investigate the consequences of the interaction, decay, and particle generation in a many-component Universe, containing dark energy, dark matter, radiation, and ordinary matter, respectively. In this model, due to the interaction between these components, and of the corresponding thermodynamical properties, the conservation equations of different cosmological constituents are not satisfied individually. We introduce a thermodynamic description of the Universe, in which two novel physical aspects, the particle number balance equations, and the creation pressures, are considered, thus making the cosmological evolution equations thermodynamically consistent. To constrain the free parameters of the model several observational data sets are employed, including the Planck data sets, Riess 2020, BAO, as well as Pantheon data. By using a scaling ansatz for the dark matter to dark energy ratio, and by imposing constraints from Planck+Riess 2020 data, this model predicts an acceptable value for the Hubble parameter, and thus it may provide a solution to the so-called Hubble tension problem, much debated recently.

Cosmological constraints on dark matter particle production rate

Gravitational particle production has been investigated by using Einstein's gravitational field equations in the presence of a cosmological constant. To study the mechanism of particle creation, the Universe has been considered as a thermodynamics system and non-equilibrium thermodynamics has been employed. In order to estimate the cosmological parameters with observational data, including SNe Ia, BAO, Planck 2015 and HST, we have chosen a phenomenological approach for the rate of particle creation. A non-zero particle production rate was obtained implying that the possibility of the particle production is consistent with recent cosmological observations. In the 1 sigma confidence interval, the ratio of Gamma/3H0 was obtained to be 0.0835.

The Integrated Sachs-Wolfe Effect in the Bulk Viscous Dark Energy Model

We examine linear perturbation theory to evaluate the contribution of viscosity coefficient in the growing of dark matter perturbations in the context of the bulk viscous dark energy model inspired by thermodynamical dissipative phenomena proposed by [B. Mostaghel et al., 2017, The European Physical Journal C, 77, 541]. As the cosmological implementations, we investigate the {\it Integrated Sachs-Wolfe} (ISW) auto-power spectrum, the ISW-galaxy cross-power spectrum and derive limits on $fσ_8$. The dimensionless bulk viscosity coefficient ($γ$) in the absence of interaction between dark sectors, modifies the Hubble parameter and the growth function, while the Poisson equation remains unchanged. Increasing $γ$ reduces the dark matter growing mode at the early epoch while a considerable enhancement will be achieved at the late time. This behavior imposes non-monotonic variation in the time evolution of gravitational potential generating a unique signature on the CMB photons. The bulk viscous dark energy model leads to almost a decreasing in ISW source function at the late time. Implementation of the Redshift Space Distortion (RSD) observations based on "Gold-2017" catalogue, shows $Ω^0_{\rm m} =0.303^{+0.044}_{-0.038}$, $γ=0.033^{+0.098}_{-0.033}$ and $σ_8= 0.769^{+0.080}_{-0.089}$ at $1σ$ level of confidence. Finally, tension in the $σ_8$ is alleviated in our viscous dark energy model.

Are Cold Dynamical Dark Energy Models Distinguishable in the Light of the Data?

In this paper we obtain observational constraints on three dynamical cold dark energy models ,include PL , CPL and FSL, with most recent cosmological data and investigate their implication for structure formation, dark energy clustering and abundance of CMB local peaks. From the joint analysis of the CMB temperature power spectrum from observation of the Planck, SNIa light-curve, baryon acoustic oscillation, $fσ_8$ for large scale structure observations and the Hubble parameter, the PL model has the highest growth of matter density, $ Δ_{m} $, and matter power spectrum, $ P(k) $, compared to $Λ$CDM and other models. For the CPL on the other hand, the structure formation is considerably suppressed while the FSL has behavior similar to standard model of cosmology. Studying the clustering of dark energy, $ Δ_{DE}$, yields positive but small value with maximum of $ Δ_{DE}\simeq10^{-3} $ at early time due to matter behaviour of the PL, while for the CPL and FSL cross $ Δ_{DE}=0 $ several time which demonstrate void of dark energy with $ Δ_{DE}\simeq-10^{-11} $ in certain periods of the history of dark energy evolution. Among these three models, the PL model demonstrate that is more compatible with $ fσ_{8} $ data. We also investigated a certain geometrical measure, namely the abundance of local maxima as a function of threshold for three DDE models and find that the method is potentially capable to discriminate between the models, especially far from mean threshold. The contribution of PL and CPL for late ISW are significant compared to cosmological constant and FSL model. The tension in the Hubble parameters is almost alleviated in the PL model.
