Higher-order sum rules for zeros of the planar Gaussian entire function

For each fixed integer $k\ge2$, we prove that integrating one coordinate of the truncated correlation of order $k$ for zeros of the planar Gaussian entire function (GEF) gives $-(k-1)$ times the truncated correlation of order $k-1$. The integral converges absolutely, and the identity holds pointwise, including at coincident fixed coordinates by continuous extension. This answers the marginal-identity part of Krishnapur and Yogeshwaran's question for the planar GEF. We also prove a general criterion for simple point processes: under local moment and absolute integrability assumptions, the identities hold almost everywhere if there are compactly supported cutoffs between zero and one, eventually equal to one on each compact set, whose linear statistics have variances tending to zero. For GEF zeros, strong clustering and variance bounds for smooth linear statistics verify these assumptions. The proof combines a mixed-cumulant estimate with the partition formula for ordinary and factorial cumulants.

Critical measures and coefficient limits for non-Gaussian holomorphic chaos

We study critical holomorphic multiplicative chaos with circular iid inputs of unit variance. Writing \(R=|X_1|\), the radially normalized boundary measures converge in probability to a finite measure with almost surely positive mass exactly when \(\mathbb{E}[R^2\log(2+R)]<\infty\); otherwise they converge to zero. Radial and Fourier--radial approximations have distinct sharp \(L^q\) convergence criteria at each \(0 u)\sim-λu^α\), \(0<α<1\) and \(λ>0\), the normalization and Gaussian-mixture form persist, while every positive limit moment diverges; we determine the logarithmic tails. Finite limiting moments need not imply convergence of the original coefficient moments. In the positive-limit class, coefficient periodograms recover the critical measure and energy normalization gives Gaussian limits. Hardy nonmembership holds under finite variance alone; the positive-limit class has sharp weighted Bergman criteria for \(0<p\le2\) and boundary Sobolev threshold \(s=-1/2\).

Critical characteristic-polynomial chaos for complex iid matrices

We prove convergence to critical Gaussian multiplicative chaos for characteristic-polynomial measures of complex iid matrices. Let $A_N=N^{-1/2}(ξ_{ij})$, with a fixed law satisfying $\mathbb Eξ=\mathbb Eξ^2=0$, $\mathbb E|ξ|^2=1$, and finite moments of every order; no density is assumed. On each fixed disk $\{|z|\le r\}$, $0<r<1$, expectation-normalized determinant measures at power $2\sqrt2$, multiplied by $\sqrt{\tfrac12\log N}$, converge to critical chaos with a fourth-cumulant covariance correction. The normalized height-deficit marked measure converges to the product of this spatial limit and the standard Rayleigh law. Convergence holds jointly with centered averages of the $\sqrt2$-scaled original logarithmic field against finitely many smooth compactly supported bulk tests, and with the two-sided near-critical curve at powers $q=2\sqrt2-2λ/\sqrt{\log N}$. On fixed compact parameter intervals, the curve converges in law in the uniform weak topology; all limiting coordinates use the same Gaussian field. The limiting curve is an explicit deterministic profile times the same critical measure.

The numerical range of limits of real rational functions

Given two nonzero polynomials $f, g \in \mathbb{R}[x_1,\dots,x_n]$ vanishing at the origin $0 \in \mathbb{R}^n$, we study the numerical range of the limit $$ \lim_{x \to 0} \frac{f(x)}{g(x)}, $$ denoted by $\mathcal{R}_{f,g}$, which is defined as the set of all possible limits of the rational function $\displaystyle\frac{f}{g}$ as $x$ tends to $0$. When $n = 2$ and $g$ has a non-isolated zero at $0$, we describe all possible forms of $\mathcal{R}_{f,g}$ and provide an effective algorithm to compute this set based on Puiseux expansions. This is a follow-up to our recent results~\cite{Dinh2025}, in which we only considered the case when $0$ is an isolated zero of $g$.

Gaussian zero-count fluctuations in annuli

We determine joint zero-count fluctuations of the self-dual weighted Szegő Gaussian analytic function in fixed and thinning annuli. For a fixed annulus, the counts near its two boundary components converge jointly to independent standard normal variables after centering and marginal normalization, at arbitrary relative rates of boundary approach. This answers the simultaneous central limit question of Katori and Shirai for this model. The unscaled covariance converges to a negative constant, which we evaluate in complete elliptic integrals. A sharp variance asymptotic for the difference between an annular winding number and its coupled disk count yields quantitative normal approximation bounds. For thinning annuli with inner radius $q=e^{-h}$, the counts in every fixed finite family of interior transverse bands converge jointly to a Gaussian vector after centering and multiplication by $\sqrt h$. We give its spectral covariance matrix, prove strict negative covariance for disjoint bands, and identify its nullspace from the interval indicators. The fixed-annulus proof couples the Laurent series to two independent Gaussian power series. For thinning annuli, we combine exact periodization of a strip kernel, a uniform Laguerre-chaos tail bound, and connected Gaussian diagrams.

Approximation numbers of critical Besov embeddings

We determine the approximation numbers of critical embeddings between isotropic Besov spaces on nonempty bounded Lipschitz domains in any dimension. For 0 < p_1 < 2 < p_2 <= infinity and s_1 - s_2 = d max{1/p_1, 1 - 1/p_2} > d(1/p_1 - 1/p_2), the approximation numbers have order N^{-1/2}(log(e+N))^Gamma for every 0 < q_1, q_2 <= infinity, with an explicit four-case formula for Gamma. This resolves the strictly compact critical Besov approximation-number problem identified in Vybiral's overview. For q_1 < q_2, the logarithmic exponent depends on the ordering of p_1' and p_2; it can vanish for one pair (p_1,p_2) and remain positive for another with the same fine indices. A row estimate for the approximation error gives lower bounds when the target fine index is below one. Gaussian finite-rank approximations acting on several levels give the sharp upper bounds when Gamma < 1/2. For q_1 < q_2, matching lower bounds for the two strict orderings of the inner indices follow from Malykhin's finite-window estimates and norm comparisons. The results include quasi-Banach indices and the full spaces of bounded coefficient sequences at infinite fine indices.

Adaptive Dead-Zone Dual Sliding Mode Observer for Reliable Electrochemical Model-Based SOC Estimation

Accurate state-of-charge (SOC) estimation is essential for safe and efficient lithium-ion battery operation. Electrochemical models provide physically grounded SOC estimates, but nonlinear voltage dynamics and coupled state-parameter errors can destabilize online adaptation. This paper proposes an adaptive dead-zone dual sliding-mode observer (ADZ-DSMO) based on an improved extended single-particle (IESP) model. A state SMO estimates SOC-related states, while a parameter SMO updates dominant model parameters. An online-computable, Lyapunov-guided adaptive boundary selectively gates parameter updates while the state observer remains active at every sampling step. Validation on a Panasonic NCR18650PF cell under 1C and 3C constant-current discharge and the Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) and New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) profiles shows lower SOC estimation errors than conventional dual SMO and the IESP-based dual extended Kalman filter (DEKF). Compared with DEKF, the proposed observer provides faster recovery from a 30% initial SOC bias. Selective parameter updating reduces the average per-step computation time compared with the always-updating dual SMO. Temperature tests and capacity-based, model-generated aging cases further assess robustness. These results support adaptive gating as a means of reducing error propagation and computational overhead in electrochemical-model-based joint state-parameter estimation.

Residual Bias Compensation Dual Extended Kalman Filter for Physics-Based SOC Estimation in Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries

This paper addresses state of charge (SOC) estimation for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, where the relatively flat open-circuit voltage (OCV-SOC) characteristic reduces observability. A residual bias compensation dual extended Kalman filter (RBC-DEKF) is developed. Unlike conventional bias compensation methods that treat the bias as an augmented state within a single filter, the proposed dual-filter structure decouples residual bias estimation from electrochemical state estimation. One EKF estimates the system states of a control-oriented parameter-grouped single particle model with thermal effects, while the other EKF estimates a residual bias that continuously corrects the voltage observation equation, thereby refining the model-predicted voltage in real time. Unlike bias-augmented single-filter schemes that enlarge the covariance coupling, the decoupled bias estimator refines the voltage observation without perturbing electrochemical state dynamics. Validation is conducted on an LFP cell from a public dataset under three representative operating conditions: US06 at 0 degC, DST at 25 degC, and FUDS at 50 degC. Compared with a conventional EKF using the same model and identical state filter settings, the proposed method reduces the average SOC RMSE from 3.75% to 0.20% and the voltage RMSE between the filtered model voltage and the measured voltage from 32.8 mV to 0.8 mV. The improvement is most evident in the mid-SOC range where the OCV-SOC curve is flat, confirming that residual bias compensation significantly enhances accuracy for model-based SOC estimation of LFP batteries across a wide temperature range.

Fourier asymptotics of critical Gaussian multiplicative chaos on the circle

We study the high-frequency Fourier coefficients $C_n$ of critical Gaussian multiplicative chaos $M$ on the circle, for logarithmic covariances with an arbitrary admissible smooth, possibly nonstationary remainder. For every fixed finite set of integer offsets, the corresponding vector of neighboring coefficients, multiplied by $\sqrt{\log n}$, converges stably relative to the full Gaussian field without additional centering. Conditionally on that field, the limit consists of Fourier coefficients of one symmetric complex stable random measure of index one with control proportional to $M$. For every $s>1$, the normalized modulated measures also converge stably in $H^{-s}(\mathbb{T})$ to this conditional stable noise. Unconditionally, the same joint approximation remains valid for offsets of size at most $(\log\log n)^{1/64}$ for every fixed admissible covariance. The scalar limit is an isotropic Cauchy mixture; the joint limiting law retains the spatial distribution of $M$, not only its total mass. We also prove an almost-sure integral test along the entire integer frequency sequence. For a class of regular deterministic gauges $H$, the limsup of $\sqrt{\log|n|}\,|C_n|/H(\log\log|n|)$ is zero or infinity according as $\int^\infty dx/H(x)$ converges or diverges. The proof combines index-one compensation with relative excursion estimates and transfers these conclusions from the canonical model by smooth covariance comparison.

When voltage sensors fail: Electrochemically constrained fault-tolerant state estimation for flat-plateau LFP batteries

The flat voltage plateau of lithium iron phosphate (LFP)/graphite cells makes electrochemical-state errors and voltage-measurement abnormalities produce similar innovations, complicating state-of-charge (SOC) estimation. This work proposes an electrochemically constrained residual-bias compensation dual extended Kalman filter (RBC-DEKF) with uncertain-initialization commissioning. A thermal control-oriented parameter-grouped single-particle model (CPG-SPMT) provides paired-electrode dynamics and terminal-voltage prediction, while a separately configurable voltage-discrepancy state accommodates systematic residuals. When the initial SOC is uncertain, residual adaptation is suspended over a verified-healthy startup window. Buffered data support electrochemically constrained trajectory matching, followed by calibrated state replay and residual-channel reactivation. Frozen cross-cycle healthy-residual calibration supports commissioning and remains in the voltage prediction after handover. Evaluation covers 216 additive-bias and 168 multiplicative-gain profiles over 24 A123 temperature-drive-cycle trajectories. Relative to Single-EKF, the original RBC-DEKF reduces mean SOC RMSE from 7.646 to 0.170 percentage points for additive bias and from 22.646 to 0.356 percentage points for gain faults. Separately, 18 nonzero-initial-error profiles on three representative 50%-SOC-anchored segments give a full-record mean SOC RMSE of 1.747 percentage points, including startup, for the commissioned realization, versus 11.192 and 11.400 for the always-on RBC-DEKF and conventional joint EKF. Representative delayed bias, 10-s ramp, and gain tests show that the corrected SOC trajectory remains stable after fault introduction. The central contribution is electrochemically constrained temporal coordination of uncertain-state recovery and subsequent voltage-discrepancy accommodation.

Palm Disintegration and Height-Profile Recovery for Projected Hardy--Szegő Zeros

We study the horizontal projection of the upper-half-plane Hardy--Szegő zero process after independent height-dependent thinning, with height retained as an unobserved mark. We identify the reduced Palm law of the projected process by disintegrating over the missing height coordinate, describe the conditional law of the two heights associated with a pair of projected points and its near- and far-separation limits, and obtain the small-spacing asymptotic for the right nearest neighbour. We then study recovery of the height profile from the projected second-order structure. The resulting covariance transform uniquely determines every compactly supported finite positive height measure and, for separated finite unions of intervals, yields uniform Lipschitz recovery of all endpoints, even when the number of intervals is unknown but bounded.

Fractional Volterra-type operators from Bergman spaces with two-sided doubling weights to Hardy spaces

For \(ω\in\calD\), we give necessary and sufficient symbol conditions for the boundedness and compactness of the Riemann--Liouville family\(V^φ_{α,β}:A^p_ω\to H^q\) for every \(0 0\): without any additional weight assumption when \(α\geβ\), and, when \(α<β\), under the condition \(p(β-α)<d_-(ω)\), where \(d_-(ω)\) is the critical reverse-doubling exponent. We prove that this inequality is exactly equivalent to the naturally shifted source weight retaining the two-sided doubling and tail geometry required by the reduction; an integrable logarithmic example shows that the endpoint fails. The extension from power weights is not formal, because the reduction replaces \(ω\) by \(ω(z)(1-|z|^2)^{p(α-β)}\), and a negative shift may destroy even integrability. Combining moment-induced Littlewood--Paley theory for doubling Bergman spaces with an exact coefficient-multiplier comparison, we establish the required Riemann--Liouville transfer, including the finite-dimensional exceptional modes at positive integral shift orders. A finite-codimensional range decomposition and a fractional \(g\)-function reduction then reduce both questions to a single weighted area-map problem. Within the admissible parameter set, the effects of \(α\) are absorbed by the shifted source weight and bounded model corrections, so the final symbol conditions depend on \(β\). The thresholds \(p=2\) and \(p=q\) yield pointwise, Carleson, tent-integral, and non-tangential maximal criteria. In the tent-integral range, boundedness already implies compactness.

Canonical analytic realizations of hyperbolic determinantal processes

Krishnapur asked whether the invariant hyperbolic determinantal point processes on the disk admit a random analytic zero-set interpretation at noninteger parameters. We construct such a realization for every positive real parameter as the full compact-open limit in distribution of normalized finite Blaschke products. The zeros determine the modulus and normalized analytic shape, leaving one independent uniform phase. We prove exact Möbius covariance and classify all realizations with this covariance and square-integrable logarithmic modulus at the origin: they are precisely independent positive random multiples of the canonical function. Within this covariant class, matching the canonical logarithmic mean and variance uniquely determines the canonical function law. The family is weakly continuous in the parameter and agrees at positive integers with determinants of matrix-valued Gaussian power series. An explicit Barnes $G$-function Mellin transform determines the basepoint normalization.

The Local Embedding Problem for Hardy Spaces of Dirichlet Series

We solve the local embedding problem for Hardy spaces of Dirichlet series, which is a dimension-free trace problem asking whether the global $\mathscr{H}^p$-norm controls local $L^p$-mass on the critical line $\operatorname{Re}s=1/2$. More precisely, for every $2<p<\infty$, there exists a constant $C_p<\infty$ such that every Dirichlet polynomial $P$ satisfies $$ \sup_{θ\in\mathbb{R}}\int_θ^{θ+1}\left|P\left(\frac12+it\right)\right|^p\,\mathrm{d}t\le C_p\left\lVert P\right\rVert_{\mathscr{H}^p}^{p}, $$ with $C_p$ independent of the number and choice of prime variables on which $P$ depends. Before the present work, the embedding was known at $p=2$ and, by taking integer powers, at the even exponents $p=2k$; it had been conjectured that these exhaust the finite positive cases above $2$. Together with the known failure for $0<p<2$, our theorem gives the sharp finite-exponent classification: the local embedding property holds exactly for $p\ge2$. Thus, the true threshold is $p=2$, rather than even integrality. The proof passes to the dual exponent $q=p/(p-1)\in(1,2)$, where an exact frequency decomposition isolates a single resonant Euler-product term. A covariance-preserving replacement of the shared prime factors reduces the resulting fractional-moment estimate to a log-correlated Gaussian field, and a critical branching-random-walk bound supplies the required multiscale decay. A finite-cyclic square-function estimate assembles the resonant scales, and Hardy-quotient duality converts the resulting vector-valued bound into the critical-line trace. For $1\le p<\infty$, known equivalences give the same sharp threshold in several classical problems, including the conformally invariant half-plane embedding, the reverse local Carleson-measure transfer, and boundedness of all characteristic-zero Gordon--Hedenmalm composition operators.

A Functional Central Limit Theorem for Window Counts of Hardy--Szegő Zeros

The Hardy--Szegő zero process, investigated in the disk by Peres and Virág through the independent identically distributed Gaussian analytic function, is a canonical conformally invariant determinantal point process. This paper studies its upper half-plane realization. Although conformally equivalent to the disk model, this realization has its own natural geometry: real-translation invariance turns the process into a stationary object along the boundary and makes long horizontal windows the natural observables. For every admissible height window, we prove a Donsker-type functional central limit theorem for the centered zero counts in expanding horizontal windows, with an explicit intensity and variance depending on the height window. The proof is based on factorial cumulants and Brillinger mixing. The main technical input is a family of all-order integrability estimates for reduced cumulant densities, obtained by exploiting the determinantal cycle structure before integrating over the height variables. As further consequences, we derive an explicit covariance density, an asymptotic variance formula, and a macroscopic Gaussian white-noise limit for linear statistics.

Critical Gaussian Multiplicative Chaos on the Circle Is Rajchman

We prove that the Fourier coefficients of the canonical critical Gaussian multiplicative chaos on the circle vanish almost surely at infinity. More precisely, let $M_ϕ^{\mathrm{crit}}$ be the canonical critical chaos associated with the centered circle field $ϕ$ of covariance $\mathbb{E}[ϕ(θ)ϕ(θ')] = \log\frac{1}{\lvert e^{iθ}-e^{iθ'}\rvert}$. Then, almost surely, $\widehat{M_ϕ^{\mathrm{crit}}}(n)\longrightarrow0$ as $\lvert n\rvert\to\infty$. This resolves the almost-sure critical Rajchman problem for the canonical circle field. Since critical chaos has Fourier dimension zero almost surely, no positive polynomial Fourier-decay rate can hold; the theorem therefore exhibits qualitative Fourier cancellation beyond the regime of positive Fourier dimension. The proof addresses two coupled difficulties: the heavy, nonuniform cell masses of critical chaos and the need to control exponentially many frequencies in each dyadic annulus. For an auxiliary periodized compact-range star-scale field, a derivative-rooted Bessel regression yields weighted small-cell summability and moving-tail control of exceptional large cells. After conditioning at a coarse scale below the Fourier scale, finite-range independence and conditional Bernstein concentration reduce uniform control of the terminal Fourier coefficients over each dyadic annulus to a spatial-variation estimate for a coarse predictable measure. A smooth positive-definite covariance correction and critical-chaos uniqueness then transfer the Rajchman property to the canonical critical chaos of the exact circle field.

Critical Norm Profiles for Finite-Prime Composition Operators on the Hardy Space of Dirichlet Series

We identify the critical boundary operator-norm profile of finite-prime composition operators on the Hardy--Hilbert space \(\mathcal H^2\) of Dirichlet series. For \[ φ_{δ,\boldsymbolρ}(s) = \frac12+δ+ δ\sum_{j=1}^dρ_jp_j^{-s}, \qquad \boldsymbolρ\in B_d, \] the renormalized positive coefficient operators converge uniformly in operator norm, with \(O(δ)\) error, to an explicit multivariate weighted Hankel operator \(\mathcal H_{\boldsymbolρ}\); consequently, \[ 2δ\|C_{φ_{δ,\boldsymbolρ}}\|^2 = \|\mathcal H_{\boldsymbolρ}\| + O(δ) \] uniformly over \(B_d\). We show that the limiting operator admits the total-degree reduction \[ \mathcal H_{\boldsymbolρ} \simeq D_{\boldsymbolρ} H_{R_{\boldsymbolρ}/2} D_{\boldsymbolρ}\oplus\mathbf{0}, \] where the diagonal factors are convolution-collision norms of the normalized prime weights. This structure, together with the affine comparison principle of Brevig and Perfekt, yields an explicit concentration inequality for \(\|\mathcal H_{\boldsymbolρ}\|\), identifies the one-prime configurations as the exact equality cases in the limiting norm estimate, and gives a quantitative deficit away from them. For fixed \(σ>\frac12\), we also obtain a second-order expansion of the squared norm and fully finite-dimensional approximations with explicit total-degree and Dirichlet-sum truncation errors. Together, these results show that a single coefficient-operator structure governs the singular boundary profile, the fixed-\(σ\) perturbative regime, and certified finite-dimensional approximation.

Two Regularity Problems on Analytic Tent Spaces

We study two regularity problems on Hardy-type analytic tent spaces $\mathcal{AT}^p_{q,α}$ on the unit disk: fractional integration and randomization of Taylor coefficients. For fractional integration, we characterize completely the boundedness and compactness of the Hadamard, Flett, and Riemann--Liouville operators between analytic tent spaces, and obtain parallel results for analytic Triebel--Lizorkin spaces. In particular, the case $t=0$ yields a complete solution to the corresponding embedding problem for analytic tent spaces. For randomization, we characterize completely when the random Taylor series $\mathcal{R}f$ belongs almost surely to an analytic tent space whenever $f\in \mathcal{AT}^p_{q,α}$, and we also obtain the Triebel--Lizorkin counterpart. As part of the proof, we identify the random symbol space associated with $\mathcal{AT}^p_{q,α}$ and solve the embedding problem from analytic tent spaces into mixed norm spaces. These results extend classical theorems of Hardy--Littlewood and Littlewood, as well as their later analogues for Bergman and mixed norm spaces.
