Sensitivity Analysis of Singlet Vector-Like B Quarks via Photon-Induced and Z-Initiated Processes at FCC-$μp$

This study presents a systematic sensitivity analysis of singlet-type vector-like $B$ quark production at an FCC--$μp$ collider with a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=24.5~\mathrm{TeV}$ through photon- and $Z$-initiated production mechanisms. The analysis focuses on the $B\to Zb$ decay channel, considering the leptonic decay of the $Z$ boson and the hadronic decay of the accompanying $W$ boson, leading to the final state $\ell^+\ell^-bjj$. Detector-resolution effects are incorporated through a simplified Gaussian smearing procedure, and the discovery and exclusion sensitivities are evaluated using an Asimov-based statistical framework. For the photon-induced channel, the most favourable sensitivity is obtained for $R_L=0.05$ and $\mathcal{L}=1000~\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$. Over the mass range $M_B=2$--$3~\mathrm{TeV}$, the expected $5σ$ discovery reach is approximately $g^\ast\simeq0.263$--$0.328$, while the $95\%$ C.L. exclusion sensitivity extends to $g^\ast\simeq0.162$--$0.197$. On the other hand, the $Z$-initiated channel provides a substantially stronger sensitivity and extends the investigated mass range up to $M_B=4.5~\mathrm{TeV}$. For $R_L=0.05$ and $\mathcal{L}=500~\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$, the $5σ$ discovery reach is approximately $g^\ast\simeq0.038$--$0.056$, while the corresponding $95\%$ C.L. exclusion sensitivity reaches $g^\ast\simeq0.021$--$0.032$. These results demonstrate that photon- and $Z$-initiated single production at an FCC--$μp$ collider provide complementary probes of heavy vector-like $B$ quarks. Moreover, the $Z$-initiated channel offers particularly strong sensitivity to small effective couplings in the multi-TeV mass region beyond the present direct LHC reach.

Pair Production of Singlet Vector-Like B Quarks in Boosted bZ Final States at a Muon Collider

We investigate the pair production of singlet vector-like bottom quarks at a future $10~\mathrm{TeV}$ muon collider in the boosted $Zb$ final-state topology. The signal process is considered as $μ^{+}μ^{-}\to B\bar{B}\to (Zb)(Z\bar{b})$, with one $Z$ boson decaying leptonically and the other hadronically, leading to a final state with an opposite-sign same-flavour dilepton pair, multiple jets, and two $b$-tagged jets. Signal and Standard Model background events are generated at leading order with MadGraph5\_\allowbreak aMC@NLO and subsequently interfaced with \textsc{Pythia}~8 for parton showering and hadronization. Detector effects are simulated with \textsc{Delphes} using a muon-collider detector configuration. A cut-based analysis exploiting boosted kinematics, including hard leading-$b$-jet transverse momentum, small dilepton angular separation, and large hadronic activity, is performed to suppress the dominant $ZZjj$, $ZZb\bar{b}$, and $t\bar{t}$ backgrounds. Statistical sensitivities are evaluated with the Asimov approximation, including both zero and $10\%$ background systematic uncertainty scenarios. For the singlet benchmark $\mathrm{BR}(B\to bZ)=0.25$ and an integrated luminosity of $10~\mathrm{ab}^{-1}$, a $5σ$ discovery reach up to $M_B\simeq 4.3~\mathrm{TeV}$ is obtained, reduced slightly to $M_B\simeq 4.2~\mathrm{TeV}$ when systematic effects are included. These results demonstrate that a $10~\mathrm{TeV}$ muon collider provides a powerful and clean environment for probing vector-like $B$ quarks well beyond present LHC limits.

Investigation of the FCNC couplings between the top quark and the photon in $γγ$ and $γ^{*}γ^{*}$ collisions at the CLIC

The investigation of flavour-changing neutral current transitions(FCNC) involving the top quark are only possible with new theoretical frameworks that extend the Standard Model(SM), given that these transitions are almost entirely suppressed within the SM. In this regard, examining these transitions with extended theories beyond the SM may provide significant insights into future experiments. To this end, we present a phenomological study about the anomalous FCNC transitions via $tqγ$ couplings with effective field theory. Here, ${γγ}{\rightarrow} {\textit{l}} ν_\textit{l} b \bar{q} $ , ${e^{+}} {e^{-}} {\rightarrow} {e^{+}} γ^{} γ^{} {\rightarrow} {e^{+}} \textit{l}{} {ν_\textit{ l}} b \bar{q} {e^{-}} $, $γγ{\rightarrow} j \bar{j} b \bar{q} $ and ${e^{+}} {e ^{-}} {\rightarrow} {e^{+}} γ^{} γ^{} {e^{-}} {\rightarrow}{e^{+}} j \bar{j} b \bar{q} {e^{-}} $ processes are investigated for the CLIC at $\sqrt{s} =1.5$TeV and 3 TeV. Thus, we have calculated the constraints at $95{\%}$ confidence level on the $BR(t\rightarrow qγ)$. As a result, the obtained constraints are at least one order of magnitude better than the available experimental ones.

Exploring Anomalous Flavor-Changing Neutral tqh Transitions at Future Muon Colliders: Insights from $μ^{+}μ^{-}\rightarrow t\bar{q}h$ Interactions

Flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) interactions between the Higgs boson and the top quark are subject to significant suppression within the Standard Model (SM). Consequently, these interactions can only attain an observable level through the influence of Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics effects. It is therefore of great importance to investigate these rare interactions, both to test the limits of the Standard Model and to reveal new physical signatures. In this context, the present study analyses the signal of the process $μ^+μ^- \to t\bar{q}h$ and the background processes $t\bar{t}$, $tW\bar{b}$, $WWh$ and $WW$ at both in $\sqrt{s} = 1$ TeV and $\sqrt{s} = 3$ TeV energy levels. Analyses at the $1 TeV$ energy level reveal the observability of FCNC interactions even at low energy conditions and achieve the limit $\text{Br}(t \to qH) = 1.96 \times 10^{-4}$. This result corresponds to an improvement of approximately 1.5 times compared to the current limits of the ATLAS experiment, which are $3.0 \times 10^{-4}$. On the other hand, at the 3 TeV energy level, the most stringent limit was calculated under the luminosity $\mathcal{L} = 20 ab^{-1}$ , yielding a value of $\text{Br}(t \to qH) = 1.1 \times 10^{-4}$. This result coincides an improvement of approximately 3 times with respect to the current ATLAS experimental limits. The findings of the study underscore the potential of muon colliders in the search for new physics and the pivotal role they can play in the study of rare processes such as Higgs-top quark interactions. Consequently, the results are expected to provide a crucial foundation for both experimental and theoretical studies and to make a significant contribution to the search for BSM physics.

Probing the anomalous tqgamma couplings in photon-proton collisions

The top quark flavor changing neutral current processes are extremely suppressed within the Standard Model. Nevertheless, they could be enhanced in a new physics model beyond the Standard Model. Investigating the top quark's flavor changing neutral current interactions at colliders would be an important test in terms of new physics. In this work, we examine the potentials of the processes ${e^{-}} {p} {\rightarrow} {e^{-}} γ^{*} {p} {\rightarrow} {e^{-}} W^{+} b γ^{*}{\rightarrow} {e^{-}} {j} {\bar{j}} b γ^{*} $ and ${e^{-}} {p} {\rightarrow} {e^{-}} γ^{*} {p} {\rightarrow} {e^{-}} W^{+} b γ^{*}{\rightarrow} {e^{-}} \textit{l} ν_\textit{l} b γ^{*} $ at the FCC-eh with $\sqrt{s} = 7.08 $ and $ 10.0 TeV $ to study anomalous $tqγ$ couplings via effective Lagrangians. We obtain $95{\%}$ confidence level sensitivities on the anomalous coupling parameters at the three FCC-eh energies and various integrated luminosities. We find that our limits are at least two orders of magnitude better than the current LHC experimental results.
