From 0-to-1 to 1-to-N: Reproducible Engineering Evidence for MetaAI Recursive Self-Design

Recursive self-design refers to AI-assisted modification of the mechanisms by which an AI system is built, evaluated, and improved. This paper treats MetaAI not as a mature paradigm, but as a working term for a human-seeded, AI-expanded development pattern in which the design space itself becomes a target of modification. We propose an operational evidence framework with four criteria: inspectable target system, meta-level modifier, feedback-directed selection, and recursive continuation. We then map public systems, including Darwin Goedel Machine (DGM), STOP, Goedel Agent, and ShinkaEvolve, against these criteria. DGM provides the most direct currently reported evidence: its published results show improvement from 20% to 50% on SWE-bench Verified and from 14.2% to 30.7% on full Polyglot after 80 iterations, with ablations suggesting that both open-ended exploration and self-improvement contribute. Finally, we provide MetaAI-Mini, a reproducible HumanEval-based protocol and codebase. Because no completed model run is included in this build, MetaAI-Mini is reported as a protocol rather than as an experimental result.

Surface elasticity effect on Plateau-Rayleigh instability in soft solids

Soft solids exhibit instability and develop surface undulations due to surface effects, a phenomenon known as the elastic Plateau-Rayleigh (PR) instability, driven by the interplay of surface and bulk elasticity. Previous studies on the PR instability in solids mainly focused on the case of constant surface tension and ignored the effect of surface elasticity. It has been shown by experiments that the surface effects in solid-like materials depend both on the surface tension and surface elasticity, but little is known about the role of the latter in the elasto-capillary instabilities in soft solids. Here, we conduct an in-depth exploration of the effect of surface elasticity on the PR instability in an elastic cylinder by coupling theoretical and numerical methods. We derive an asymptotically consistent one-dimensional (1d) model to characterize the PR instability from three-dimensional (3d) nonlinear bulk-surface elasticity, and develop a new finite-element (FE) scheme for simulating 3d deformations of the bulk-surface system. The initiation and evolution of the PR instability are obtained analytically with the aid of the 1d model. The 1d results are further validated by the 3d FE simulations. By synthesizing the 1d analytic solutions and 3d numerical results, the effects of surface elasticity, surface compressibility, surface tension, axial force and geometrical size on the PR instability are thoroughly elucidated. Our results can be applied to calibrate surface parameters for solid-like materials and develop constitutive models for elastic surfaces.

Bidirectional Semi-supervised Dual-branch CNN for Robust 3D Reconstruction of Stereo Endoscopic Images via Adaptive Cross and Parallel Supervisions

Semi-supervised learning via teacher-student network can train a model effectively on a few labeled samples. It enables a student model to distill knowledge from the teacher's predictions of extra unlabeled data. However, such knowledge flow is typically unidirectional, having the performance vulnerable to the quality of teacher model. In this paper, we seek to robust 3D reconstruction of stereo endoscopic images by proposing a novel fashion of bidirectional learning between two learners, each of which can play both roles of teacher and student concurrently. Specifically, we introduce two self-supervisions, i.e., Adaptive Cross Supervision (ACS) and Adaptive Parallel Supervision (APS), to learn a dual-branch convolutional neural network. The two branches predict two different disparity probability distributions for the same position, and output their expectations as disparity values. The learned knowledge flows across branches along two directions: a cross direction (disparity guides distribution in ACS) and a parallel direction (disparity guides disparity in APS). Moreover, each branch also learns confidences to dynamically refine its provided supervisions. In ACS, the predicted disparity is softened into a unimodal distribution, and the lower the confidence, the smoother the distribution. In APS, the incorrect predictions are suppressed by lowering the weights of those with low confidence. With the adaptive bidirectional learning, the two branches enjoy well-tuned supervisions, and eventually converge on a consistent and more accurate disparity estimation. The extensive and comprehensive experimental results on four public datasets demonstrate our superior performance over other state-of-the-arts with a relative decrease of averaged disparity error by at least 9.76%.

Fabric-GC: A Blockchain-based Gantt Chart System for Cross-organizational Project Management

Large-scale production is always associated with more and more development and interaction among peers, and many fields achieve higher economic benefits through project cooperation. However, project managers in the traditional centralized approach cannot rearrange their activities to cross-organizational project management. Thanks to its characteristics, the Blockchain can represent a valid solution to the problems mentioned above. In this article, we propose Fabric-GC, a Blockchain-based Gantt chart system. Fabric-GC enables to realize secure and effective cross-organizational cooperation for project management, providing access control to multiple parties for project visualization. Compared with other solutions, the proposed system is versatile, as it can be applied to project management in different fields and achieve effective and agile scheduling. Experimental results show that Fabric-GC achieves stable performance in large-scale request and processing distributed environments, where the data synchronization speed of the consortium chain reached four times faster than a public chain, achieving faster data consistency.

A blockchain-based secure storage scheme for medical information

Medical data involves a large amount of personal information and is highly privacy sensitive. In the age of big data, the increasing informatization of healthcare makes it vital that medical information is stored securely and accurately. However, current medical information is subject to the risk of privacy leakage and difficult to share. To address these issues, this paper proposes a healthcare information security storage solution based on Hyperledger Fabric and the Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) framework. The scheme first utilizes attribute-based access control, which allows dynamic and fine-grained access to medical information, and then stores the medical information in the blockchain, which can be secured and tamper-proof by formulating corresponding smart contracts. In addition, this solution also incorporates IPFS technology to relieve the storage pressure of the blockchain. Experiments show that the proposed scheme combining access control of attributes and blockchain technology in this paper can not only ensure the secure storage and integrity of medical information but also has a high throughput when accessing medical information.

A Reinforcement Learning-based Offensive semantics Censorship System for Chatbots

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has enabled large-scale AI applications to land in the market and practice. However, while AI technology has brought many conveniences to people in the productization process, it has also exposed many security issues. Especially, attacks against online learning vulnerabilities of chatbots occur frequently. Therefore, this paper proposes a semantics censorship chatbot system based on reinforcement learning, which is mainly composed of two parts: the Offensive semantics censorship model and the semantics purification model. Offensive semantics review can combine the context of user input sentences to detect the rapid evolution of Offensive semantics and respond to Offensive semantics responses. The semantics purification model For the case of chatting robot models, it has been contaminated by large numbers of offensive semantics, by strengthening the offensive reply learned by the learning algorithm, rather than rolling back to the early versions. In addition, by integrating a once-through learning approach, the speed of semantics purification is accelerated while reducing the impact on the quality of replies. The experimental results show that our proposed approach reduces the probability of the chat model generating offensive replies and that the integration of the few-shot learning algorithm improves the training speed rapidly while effectively slowing down the decline in BLEU values.

Fabric-SCF: A Blockchain-based Secure Storage and Access Control Scheme for Supply Chain Finance

Supply chain finance(SCF) is committed to providing credit for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) with low credit lines and small financing scales. The resulting financial credit data and related business transaction data are highly confidential and private. However, traditional SCF management schemes mostly use third-party platforms and centralized designs, which cannot achieve highly reliable secure storage and fine-grained access control. To fill this gap, this paper designs and implements Fabric-SCF, a secure storage and access control system based on blockchain and attribute-based access control (\textbf{ABAC}) model. This scheme uses distributed consensus to realize data security, traceability, and immutability. We also use smart contracts to define system processes and access policies to ensure the efficient operation of the system. To verify the performance of Fabric-SCF, we designed two sets of simulation experiments. The results show that Fabric-SCF achieves dynamic and fine-grained access control while maintaining high throughput in a simulated real-world operating scenario.
