H\"{o}lder regularity for the parabolic perturbed fractional 1-Laplace equations

This paper studies the regularity of weak solutions to a class of parabolic perturbed fractional $1$-Laplace equations. Our analysis combines finite difference quotients, energy estimates, and iterative arguments, with a key step being the decomposition of the nonlocal integral into local and nonlocal components to handle their contributions separately. We aim to show the local H\"{o}lder continuity of weak solutions within the parabolic domain. More precisely, the solutions are spatially $\alpha$-H\"{o}lder continuous with $0<\alpha<\min\left\lbrace1, \frac{s_p p}{p-1} \right\rbrace$ and $\gamma$-H\"{o}lder continuous in time, where the value of $\gamma$ is determined by the fractional differentiability indexes $s_1$, $s_p$ and the exponent $p$. For both the super-quadratic case ($p\ge 2$) and the sub-quadratic case ($1<p<2$), we establish the Sobolev regularity of solutions, which underpins the derivation of H\"{o}lder continuity. All estimates are quantitative and depend only on the structural parameters of the equation. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to develop a regularity theory for such nonlocal parabolic equations.

Sobolev regularity for the perturbed fractional 1-Laplace equations in the subquadratic case

This work investigates the Sobolev regularity of solutions to perturbed fractional 1-Laplace equations. Under the assumption that weak solutions are locally bounded, we establish that the regularity properties are analogous to those observed in the superquadratic case. By introducing the threshold $\frac{p-1}{p}$, we divide the range of the parameter $s_p$ into two distinct scenarios. Specifically, for any $s_p\in \left(0, \frac{p-1}{p}\right]$ and $q\ge p$, we demonstrate that the solutions possess $W_{\rm loc}^{\gamma, q}$-regularity for all $\gamma\in \left(0, \frac{s_p p}{p-1}\right)$ and the $W_{\rm loc}^{1, q}$-regularity for any $s_p\in \left(\frac{p-1}{p}, 1\right)$ and $q\ge p$, respectively. Our analysis relies on the nonlocal finite-difference quotient method combined with a Moser-type iteration scheme, which provides a systematic approach to the regularity theory for such nonlocal and singular problems.

Scalable High-Temperature Superconducting Diodes in Intrinsic Josephson Junctions

Superconducting diodes, characterized by nonreciprocal supercurrent transport, offer transformative opportunities for ultra-low-power circuits. However, achieving reliable operation at temperatures above liquid nitrogen remains a major challenge, limiting their practical applicability. Here, we present a scalable strategy for high-temperature superconducting diodes based on intrinsic Josephson junctions naturally present in a cuprate superconductor. We demonstrate that strong nonreciprocity arises not only from broken spatial and time-reversal symmetries, but also from enhanced anharmonicity in the current-phase relation, enabled by the atomically thin barrier of the intrinsic junction. The diode efficiency strongly depends on the number of stacked intrinsic junctions, with the highest efficiency occurring in single-junction devices. Notably, these high-temperature superconducting diodes are readily scalable to large arrays, marking a critical step toward practical implementation in energy-efficient computing architectures.

Sobolev regularity for the nonlocal $(1, p)$-Laplace equations in the superquadratic case

We investigate the interior Sobolev regularity of weak solutions to the nonlocal $(1, p)$-Laplace equations in the superquadratic case $p\ge 2$. As a product, the explicit H\"{o}lder continuity estimates of weak solutions are derived. The proof relies on a detailed analysis of the structural characteristics of $(1, p)$-growth in the nonlocal setting, combined with the finite difference quotient method, tail estimates, refined energy estimates, and a Moser-type iteration scheme.

Existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to a parabolic nonlocal 1-Laplacian equation

We consider a class of parabolic nonlocal $1$-Laplacian equation \begin{align*} u_t+(-\Delta)^s_1u=f \quad \text{ in }\Omega\times(0,T]. \end{align*} By employing the Rothe time-discretization method, we establish the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the equation above. In particular, different from the previous results on the local case, we infer that the weak solution maintains $\frac{1}{2}$-H\"{o}lder continuity in time.

Ultra-broadband near-field Josephson microwave microscopy

Advanced microwave technologies constitute the foundation of a wide range of modern sciences, including quantum computing, microwave photonics, spintronics, etc. To facilitate the design of chip-based microwave devices, there is an increasing demand for state-of-the-art microscopic techniques capable of characterizing the near-field microwave distribution and performance. In this work, we integrate Josephson junctions onto a nano-sized quartz tip, forming a highly sensitive microwave mixer on-tip. This allows us to conduct spectroscopic imaging of near-field microwave distributions with high spatial resolution. Leveraging its microwave-sensitive characteristics, our Josephson microscope achieves a broad detecting bandwidth of up to 200 GHz with remarkable frequency and intensity sensitivities. Our work emphasizes the benefits of utilizing the Josephson microscope as a real-time, non-destructive technique to advance integrated microwave electronics.

On the solutions of nonlocal 1-Laplacian equation with $L^1$-data

We study the solutions to a nonlocal 1-Laplacian equation given by $$ 2\text{P.V.}\int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{u(x)-u(y)}{|u(x)-u(y)|} \frac{dy}{|x-y|^{N+s}}=f(x) \quad \textmd{for } x\in \Omega, $$ with Dirichlet boundary condition $u(x)=0$ in $\mathbb R^N\backslash \Omega$ and nonnegative $L^1$-data. By investigating the asymptotic behaviour of renormalized solutions $u_p$ to the nonlocal $p$-Laplacian equations as $p$ goes to $1^+$, we introduce a suitable definition of solutions and prove that the limit function $u$ of $\{u_p\}$ is a solution of the nonlocal $1$-Laplacian equation above.

An efficient Moving Morphable Component (MMC)-based approach for multi-resolution topology optimization

In the present work, a highly efficient Moving Morphable Component (MMC) based approach for multi-resolution topology optimization is proposed. In this approach, high-resolution optimization results can be obtained with much less number of degrees of freedoms (DOFs) and design variables since the finite element analysis model and the design optimization model are totally decoupled in the MMC-based problem formulation. This is achieved by introducing super-elements for structural response analysis and adopting a domain decomposition strategy to preserve the topology complexity of optimized structures. Both two-and three-dimensional numerical results demonstrate that substantial computational efforts can be saved with use of the proposed approach.
