We explore the large magnetoresistance (MR) in \ce{hBN}/few-layer-graphene/\ce{CrSBr}/few-layer-graphene heterostructures and reveal the mechanism behind its non-monotonic bias dependence. Using bias voltage and temperature as independent tuning knobs, we achieve MR up to \SI{350}{\percent} at \SI{20}{K}, characterized by symmetric M-shaped maxima around $\pm 0.5\,\mathrm{V}$. Continuous tuning of the magnetization angle $\theta$ via a hard-axis magnetic field shows that the barrier band-edge offset varies linearly with $\cos(\theta/2)$, a first-order signature of spin-dependent interlayer hybridization. This linear relationship rules out the Julli\`ere model and a spin-filter projection. We conclude that the magnetic-configuration-dependent band edge, rather than electrode spin polarization, dictates the large magnetoresistance in \ce{CrSBr} junctions.
In this paper, we obtain a weighted trigonometric summation formula which is an extension of the trigonometric summation formula by Grigor'yan, Lin and Yau \cite{GLY}.
In this paper, motivated by our previous work \cite{HY}, we prove that the minimum of the first Dirichlet eigenvalues for the normalized combinatorial $p$-Laplacian on connected finite graphs with boundary consisting of $n$ edges is only achieved by the tadpole graph $T_{n,3}$. This result extends the Faber-Krahn inequality of Katsuda-Urakawa \cite{KU} to normalized combinatorial $p$-Laplacians. Our argument is much simpler than that of Katsuda-Urakawa.
In this paper, we obtain sharp Faber-Krahn inequalities for the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of the combinatorial $p$-Laplacian on connected graphs with a fixed number of vertices or with a fixed number of edges. More precisely, we show that the minimum of the first $p$-Dirichlet eigenvalues of connected graphs with boundary that consist of $n$ vertices or $n$ edges is achieved only on the tadpole graph $T_{n,3}$ when $p>1$.
In modern radar systems, target detection and parameter estimation face significant challenges when confronted with mainlobe jamming. This paper presents a Diffusion-based Model and Data Dual-driven (DMDD) approach to estimate and detect multitargets and suppress structured jamming. In DMDD, the jamming prior is modeled through a score-based diffusion process with its score learned from the pure jamming data, enabling posterior sampling without requiring detailed knowledge of jamming. Meanwhile, the target signal is usually sparse in the range space, which can be modeled via a sparse Bayesian learning (SBL) framework, and hyperparameter is updated through the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm. A single diffusion process is constructed for the jamming, while the state of targets are estimated through direct posterior inference, enhancing computational efficiency. The noise variance is also estimated through EM algorithm. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in structured jamming scenarios. The proposed DMDD algorithm achieves superior target detection performance, compared with existing methods.
In this note, we extend the rigidity of Cheng-Yau gradient estimate in \cite{HXY} to surfaces with lower Ricci curvature bound. Motivated by these sharp Cheng-Yau gradient estimates, pointwise Cheng-Yau gradient estimates for higher dimensional Riemannian manifolds are obtained, and as their applications, monotonicity formulas for positive harmonic functions are obtained.
In this paper, we obtain a sharp Garliardo-Nirenberg inequality on integer lattices and characterize its rigidity. Moreover, as a consequence of the sharp Garliardo-Nirenberg inequality, we obtain sharp logarithmic Sobolev inequalities on integer lattices.
In this paper, we introduce a new canonical connection on Riemannian manifold with a distribution. Moreover, as an application of the connection, we give a geometric proof of the Frobenius theorem.
In this paper, we extend a lower bound estimate for Steklov eigenvalues by Perrin \cite{Pe} on unit-weighted graphs to general weighted graphs and characterise its rigidity.
Channel estimation is a fundamental task in communication systems and is critical for effective demodulation. While most works deal with a simple scenario where the measurements are corrupted by the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), this work addresses the more challenging scenario where both AWGN and structured interference coexist. Such conditions arise, for example, when a sonar/radar transmitter and a communication receiver operate simultaneously within the same bandwidth. To ensure accurate channel estimation in these scenarios, the sparsity of the channel in the delay domain and the complicate structure of the interference are jointly exploited. Firstly, the score of the structured interference is learned via a neural network based on the diffusion model (DM), while the channel prior is modeled as a Gaussian distribution, with its variance controlling channel sparsity, similar to the setup of the sparse Bayesian learning (SBL). Then, two efficient posterior sampling methods are proposed to jointly estimate the sparse channel and the interference. Nuisance parameters, such as the variance of the prior are estimated via the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. The proposed method is termed as DM based SBL (DM-SBL). Numerical simulations demonstrate that DM-SBL significantly outperforms conventional approaches that deal with the AWGN scenario, particularly under low signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) conditions. Beyond channel estimation, DM-SBL also shows promise for addressing other linear inverse problems involving structured interference.
In this note, we obtain the rigidity of the sharp Cheng-Yau gradient estimate for positive harmonic functions on surfaces with nonegative Gaussian curvature, the rigidity of the sharp Li-Yau gradient estimate for positive solutions to heat equations and the related estimates for Dirichlet Green's functions on Riemannian manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. Moreover, we also obtain the corresponding stability results.
In this paper, we study extremal problems of Steklov eigenvalues on combinatorial graphs by extending Friedman's theory [Duke Math. J. 69 (1993), no. 3, 487--525] of nodal domains for Laplacian eigenfunctions to Steklov eigenfunctions, and solve an extremal problem for Steklov eigenvalues on combinatorial graphs that is an analogue of the extremal problem solved by Friedman [Duke Math. J. 83 (1996), no. 1, 1--18.] for Laplacian eigenvalues. More precisely, we mainly show that the minimum of the $i^{\rm th}$ Steklov eigenvalue on a connected combinatorial graph with $n$ vertices is essentially attained by a star with each arm a minimal broom when $i\not|n$, and attained by a regular comb with each tooth a minimal broom when $i|n$.
In this paper, we obtain monotonicity of Steklov eigenvalues on graphs which as a special case on trees extends the results of He-Hua [Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations 61 (2022), no. 3, Paper No. 101, arXiv: 2103.07696] to higher Steklov eigenvalues and gives affirmative answers to two problems proposed in He-Hua [arXiv: 2103.07696]. As applications of the monotonicity of Steklov eigenvalues, we obtain some estimates for Steklov eigenvalues on trees generalizing the isodiametric estimate for the first positive Steklov eigenvalues on trees in He-Hua [arXiv:2011.11014].
In this short note, by using a general three circle theorem, we show the rigidity of the sharp Bezout estimate first found by Gang Liu on nonnegatively curved Riemann surface.
In this paper, we extend Gang Liu's three circle theorem for K\"ahler manifolds to almost Hermitian manifolds. As applications of the three circle theorem, we obtain sharp dimension estimates for spaces of holomorphic functions of polynomial growth and rigidity for the estimates, Liouville theorems for pluri-subharmonic functions of sub-logarithmic growth and Liouville theorems for holomorphic functions of Cheng-type, and fundamental theorem of algebra on almost Hermitian manifolds with slightly negative holomorphic sectional curvature. The results are generalization of Liu's results and some of them are new even for the K\"ahler case. We also discuss the converse of the three circle theorem on Hermitian manifolds which turns out to be rather different with the K\"ahler case. In order to obtain the three circle theorem on almost Hermitian manifolds, we also establish a general maximum principle in the spirit of Calabi's trick so that a general three circle theorem is a straight forward consequence of the general maximum principle. The general maximum principle and three circle theorem established may be of independent interests.
In this paper, we extend the fundamental theorem for submanifolds to general ambient spaces by viewing it as a higher codimensional Cartan-Ambrose-Hicks theorem. The key ingredient in obtaining this is a generalization of development of curves in the positive codimensional case. One advantage of our results is that it also provide a geometric construction of the isometric immersion when the isometric immersion exists.
In this paper, we obtain some comparisons of the Dirichlet, Neumann and Laplacian eigenvalues on graphs. We also discuss their rigidities and some of their applications including some Lichnerowicz-type, Fiedler-type and Friedman-type estimates for Dirichlet eigenvalues and Neumann eigenvalues. The comparisons on Neumann eigenvalues can be translated to comparisons on Steklov eigenvalues in our setting. So, some of the results can be viewed as extensions for parts of the works of \cite{HHW} by Hua-Huang-Wang, and parts of our previous works \cite{SY,SY2}.
