Veo-Act: Enhancing VLA Policies with Frontier Video Models

Video generation models can produce coherent vi- sual sequences depicting object motion and interactions. We in- vestigate how frontier video generation models can complement vision-language-action policies to enhance generalizable robotic manipulation. VLA policies have become a dominant paradigm for robot learning, but their action-oriented adaptation of pretrained VLMs can weaken semantic generalization, limiting robustness in ambiguous or out-of-distribution manipulation scenarios. We use video models as visual planners, motivated by their potential to generalize across complex scenes and their priors over hand motion. However, manipulation methods based on video models often lack the precision and temporal responsiveness needed for low-level dexterous interaction. To address this gap, we present Veo-Act, a hierarchical framework with Veo-3.1 as a high-level motion planner and a VLA policy as the low-level executor. A multi-head inverse dynamics model converts generated frame pairs into actions and learns an interaction gate to trigger the handoff to reactive VLA control. Experiments in simulation and on a real robot show improved instruction following and overall task success over the baseline VLA in novel and semantically complex manipulation settings, supporting the complementary roles of video planning and reactive interaction.

HEFT: Heavy-Payload Full-size Humanoid Teleoperation with Privileged Motion Guidance and Windowed Payload Curriculum

General motion tracking and teleoperation offer a promising path to scalable humanoid skill acquisition, yet most existing frameworks are validated on compact platforms or without real payload interaction, leaving full-size humanoids with real payloads largely unexplored. Scaling to full-size humanoids introduces two compounding challenges: their larger inertia and tighter balance margins make tracking highly sensitive to noise, drift, and retargeting errors from commodity VR trackers, while their payload potential remains largely underutilized. We present HEFT, a heavy-payload full-size humanoid teleoperation framework that addresses both challenges. HEFT learns from deployable noisy VR references with physically plausible reconstructed references through Privileged Motion Guidance (PMG), and uses a Windowed Payload Curriculum (WPC) with expert-guided payload caps to acquire robust heavy-payload tracking. We deploy HEFT on L7, a 175cm, 65kg humanoid. The robot tracks motions including turns, forward/backward locomotion, and squats under payloads up to 24kg.

ECom-Bench: Can LLM Agent Resolve Real-World E-commerce Customer Support Issues?

In this paper, we introduce ECom-Bench, the first benchmark framework for evaluating LLM agent with multimodal capabilities in the e-commerce customer support domain. ECom-Bench features dynamic user simulation based on persona information collected from real e-commerce customer interactions and a realistic task dataset derived from authentic e-commerce dialogues. These tasks, covering a wide range of business scenarios, are designed to reflect real-world complexities, making ECom-Bench highly challenging. For instance, even advanced models like GPT-4o achieve only a 10-20% pass^3 metric in our benchmark, highlighting the substantial difficulties posed by complex e-commerce scenarios. The code and data have been made publicly available at https://github.com/XiaoduoAILab/ECom-Bench to facilitate further research and development in this domain.

FishAI 2.0: Marine Fish Image Classification with Multi-modal Few-shot Learning

Traditional marine biological image recognition faces challenges of incomplete datasets and unsatisfactory model accuracy, particularly for few-shot conditions of rare species where data scarcity significantly hampers the performance. To address these issues, this study proposes an intelligent marine fish recognition framework, FishAI 2.0, integrating multimodal few-shot deep learning techniques with image generation for data augmentation. First, a hierarchical marine fish benchmark dataset, which provides a comprehensive data foundation for subsequent model training, is utilized to train the FishAI 2.0 model. To address the data scarcity of rare classes, the large language model DeepSeek was employed to generate high-quality textual descriptions, which are input into Stable Diffusion 2 for image augmentation through a hierarchical diffusion strategy that extracts latent encoding to construct a multimodal feature space. The enhanced visual-textual datasets were then fed into a Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training (CLIP) based model, enabling robust few-shot image recognition. Experimental results demonstrate that FishAI 2.0 achieves a Top-1 accuracy of 91.67 percent and Top-5 accuracy of 97.97 percent at the family level, outperforming baseline CLIP and ViT models with a substantial margin for the minority classes with fewer than 10 training samples. To better apply FishAI 2.0 to real-world scenarios, at the genus and species level, FishAI 2.0 respectively achieves a Top-1 accuracy of 87.58 percent and 85.42 percent, demonstrating practical utility. In summary, FishAI 2.0 improves the efficiency and accuracy of marine fish identification and provides a scalable technical solution for marine ecological monitoring and conservation, highlighting its scientific value and practical applicability.

Survey of Specialized Large Language Model

The rapid evolution of specialized large language models (LLMs) has transitioned from simple domain adaptation to sophisticated native architectures, marking a paradigm shift in AI development. This survey systematically examines this progression across healthcare, finance, legal, and technical domains. Besides the wide use of specialized LLMs, technical breakthrough such as the emergence of domain-native designs beyond fine-tuning, growing emphasis on parameter efficiency through sparse computation and quantization, increasing integration of multimodal capabilities and so on are applied to recent LLM agent. Our analysis reveals how these innovations address fundamental limitations of general-purpose LLMs in professional applications, with specialized models consistently performance gains on domain-specific benchmarks. The survey further highlights the implications for E-Commerce field to fill gaps in the field.

MindFlow: Revolutionizing E-commerce Customer Support with Multimodal LLM Agents

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have enabled new applications in e-commerce customer service. However, their capabilities remain constrained in complex, multimodal scenarios. We present MindFlow, the first open-source multimodal LLM agent tailored for e-commerce. Built on the CoALA framework, it integrates memory, decision-making, and action modules, and adopts a modular "MLLM-as-Tool" strategy for effect visual-textual reasoning. Evaluated via online A/B testing and simulation-based ablation, MindFlow demonstrates substantial gains in handling complex queries, improving user satisfaction, and reducing operational costs, with a 93.53% relative improvement observed in real-world deployments.
