Measurement of $\mathrm{^{75}As}(\mathrm{n},γ)\mathrm{^{76}As}$ reaction relevant to 0$νββ$ decay searches of $\mathrm{^{76}Ge}$ and astrophysical $s$-process temperatures

The cross sections and resonance structures of $\rm^{75}As$(n,$γ$)$\rm^{76}As$ reaction are critical to the neutrinoless double-$β$ (0$νββ$) decay searches of $\rm^{76}Ge$, the $s$-process nucleosynthesis of nuclear astrophysics, and Neutron Resonance Capture Analysis for determining the elemental and isotopic composition of archaeological and cultural heritage. We report a high-precision measurement of the $\rm^{75}As$ neutron capture cross sections from 1~eV to 1~MeV, performed at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source using the Time-of-Flight method. In the resolved resonance region, nineteen resonance structures of $\rm^{75}As$(n,$γ$)$\rm^{76}As$ reaction have been discovered for the first time, and inconsistencies between evaluated libraries has been resolved. Resonance parameters for the newly observed structures were extracted with the $R$-matrix code SAMMY. These findings will help refine the theoretical predictions of half-lives and decay constants for the double-$β$ decay searches of $\rm^{76}Ge$. Astrophysical Maxwellian-averaged cross sections were calculated based on the averaged cross sections in the unresolved resonance region. And the $\rm^{75}As$(n,$γ$)$\rm^{76}As$ reaction rates were derived over the astrophysically relevant temperature range in both the main and weak $s$-processes nucleosynthesis. The present reaction rates deviate significantly from the recent theoretical predictions, and the uncertainties are significantly reduced.

Advantages of the multinucleon transfer reactions based on 238U target for producing neutron-rich isotopes around N = 126

The mechanism of multinucleon transfer (MNT) reactions for producing neutron-rich heavy nuclei around N = 126 is investigated within two different theoretical frameworks: dinuclear system (DNS) model and isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) model. The effects of mass asymmetry relaxation, N=Z equilibration, and shell closures on production cross sections of neutron-rich heavy nuclei are investigated. For the first time, the advantages for producing neutron-rich heavy nuclei around N = 126 is found in MNT reactions based on 238U target. We propose the reactions with 238U target for producing unknown neutron-rich heavy nuclei around N = 126 in the future.

Collective flows of $^{16}$O + $^{16}$O collisions with $α$-clustering configurations

The main purpose of the present paper is to discuss whether or not the collective flows in heavy-ion collision at Fermi energy can be taken as a tool to investigate the cluster configuration in light nuclei. In practice, within an Extended Quantum Molecular Dynamics model, four $α$-clustering (linear chain, kite, square, and tetrahedron) configurations of $^{16}$O are employed in the initialization, $^{16}$O+$^{16}$O around Fermi energy (40 - 60 MeV$/$nucleon) with impact parameter 1 - 3 fm are simulated, the directed and elliptic flows are analyzed. It is found that collective flows are influenced by the different $α$-clustering configurations, and the directed flow of free protons is more sensitive to the initial cluster configuration than the elliptic flow. Nuclear reaction at Fermi energy can be taken a useful way to study cluster configuration in light nuclei.
