Finite-$N$ Operator Algebras and the Hilbert Space of Bilocal Holography

We give an operator-algebraic and representation-theoretic description of the Hilbert spaces of finite-$N$ bilocal holography. This work is a sequel to the finite-$N$ Hilbert space construction of arXiv:2602.20788 [hep-th]. The central result is the establishment of an invariant dual-pair operator algebra: before imposing the singlet constraint the Fock space carries commuting actions of the color group and of a bilocal Lie algebra, while the projection to the singlet sector selects a single irreducible representation of the invariant Lie algebra, which we call a master algebra. The finite-$N$ trace relations, beginning with the quadratic identities studied here, are shown to become representation-theoretic identities of the selected irreducible representation. We summarize the orthogonal, symplectic and unitary cases, identify the corresponding finite-$N$ constraints, compute the singlet Casimirs, and explain how finite traces and partition functions are obtained through characters of the resulting irreducible representations. This provides a novel, previously unknown mathematical description of the singlet space.

Probing the Hierarchy of Genuine Multipartite Entanglement with Generalized Latent Entropy

We introduce generalization of the recently proposed \textit{Latent Entropy} (L-entropy) \cite{Basak:2024uwc} as a refined measure of genuine multipartite entanglement (GME) in pure states of $n$-party quantum systems. Generalized L-entropy provides a natural ordering among $k$-uniform states, maximising for absolutely maximally entangled states (AME), effectively capturing the hierarchical structure of multipartite entanglement. We analyze the behavior of this measure for $n$-party Haar-random states and demonstrate that, in the large local-dimension limit, the maximal L-entropy saturates its upper bound for odd $n$, while for even $n$ it approaches the bound asymptotically. Furthermore, we apply this framework to examine multipartite entanglement properties of quantum states in several variants of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, including SYK$_4$, SYK$_2$, mass-deformed SYK, sparse SYK, and $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric SYK model. The results demonstrate that the generalized L-entropy serves as a sensitive probe of multipartite entanglement, revealing how deformations influence quantum entanglement structure in such strongly interacting systems.

Renyi reflected entropy and entanglement wedge cross section with cosmic branes in AdS/BCFT

In this study, we calculate the $m-1$ correction to the reflected entropy for two adjacent intervals on a half-infinite line within the AdS$_3$/BCFT$_2$ framework, where $m$ is a Renyi index for a canonical purification. We utilize the doubling trick and compute the leading terms in the large central charge expansion of correlation functions in the holographic BCFT. In the corresponding AdS space with an end of the world brane, we analyze the entanglement wedge cross section, the dual counterpart of reflected entropy. This AdS/BCFT setup allows us to explore a richer set of phases in the entanglement wedge cross section. The $m-1$ correction in the holographic BCFT manifests as modifications in the entanglement wedge cross section induced by cosmic branes. For the adjacent intervals anchored to the boundary of BCFT, we show the duality between the entanglement wedge cross section with the backreaction from a cosmic brane and Renyi reflected entropy at all orders in $m-1$. Furthermore, by analyzing the entanglement wedge cross section for general adjacent intervals, we provide guidance for an $ε$-expansion of five-point functions in the holographic CFT, where $ε$ is the rescaled conformal dimension by the central charge.

Deep learning-based holography for T-linear resistivity

We employ deep learning within holographic duality to investigate $T$-linear resistivity, a hallmark of strange metals. Utilizing Physics-Informed Neural Networks, we incorporate boundary data for $T$-linear resistivity and bulk differential equations into a loss function. This approach allows us to derive dilaton potentials in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion theories, capturing essential features of strange metals, such as $T$-linear resistivity and linear specific heat scaling. We also explore the impact of the resistivity slope on dilaton potentials. Regardless of slope, dilaton potentials exhibit universal exponential growth at low temperatures, driving $T$-linear resistivity and matching infrared geometric analyses. At a specific slope, our method rediscovers the Gubser-Rocha model, a well-known holographic model of strange metals. Additionally, the robustness of $T$-linear resistivity at higher temperatures correlates with the asymptotic AdS behavior of the dilaton coupling to the Maxwell term. Our findings suggest that deep learning could help uncover mechanisms in holographic condensed matter systems and advance our understanding of strange metals.

Holographic reconstruction of black hole spacetime: machine learning and entanglement entropy

We investigate the bulk reconstruction of AdS black hole spacetime emergent from quantum entanglement within a machine learning framework. Utilizing neural ordinary differential equations alongside Monte-Carlo integration, we develop a method tailored for continuous training functions to extract the general isotropic bulk metric from entanglement entropy data. To validate our approach, we first apply our machine learning algorithm to holographic entanglement entropy data derived from the Gubser-Rocha and superconductor models, which serve as representative models of strongly coupled matters in holography. Our algorithm successfully extracts the corresponding bulk metrics from these data. Additionally, we extend our methodology to many-body systems by employing entanglement entropy data from a fermionic tight-binding chain at half filling, exemplifying critical one-dimensional systems, and derive the associated bulk metric. We find that the metrics for a tight-binding chain and the Gubser-Rocha model are similar. We speculate this similarity is due to the metallic property of these models.

Traversable wormholes via a double trace deformation involving $U(1)$ conserved current operators

We study the effects of conservation laws on wormholes that are made traversable by a double trace deformation. After coupling the two asymptotic boundaries of a maximally extended $(d+1)$ dimensional black brane geometry with $U(1)$ conserved current operators, we find that the quantum matter stress-energy tensor of the corresponding bulk gauge fields in the hydrodynamic limit violates the averaged null energy condition (ANEC), rendering the wormhole traversable. Applying our results to axionic two-sided black hole solutions, we discuss how the wormhole opening depends on the charge diffusion constant, how this affects the amount of information that can be sent through the wormhole, and possible implications for many-body quantum teleportation protocols involving conserved current operators.

Deep learning bulk spacetime from boundary optical conductivity

We employ a deep learning method to deduce the \textit{bulk} spacetime from \textit{boundary} optical conductivity. We apply the neural ordinary differential equation technique, tailored for continuous functions such as the metric, to the typical class of holographic condensed matter models featuring broken translations: linear-axion models. We successfully extract the bulk metric from the boundary holographic optical conductivity. Furthermore, as an example for real material, we use experimental optical conductivity of $\text{UPd}_2\text{Al}_3$, a representative of heavy fermion metals in strongly correlated electron systems, and construct the corresponding bulk metric. To our knowledge, our work is the first illustration of deep learning bulk spacetime from \textit{boundary} holographic or experimental conductivity data.

Islands in charged linear dilaton black holes

We investigate the Page curve for a non-standard black hole which is asymptotically non-flat/AdS/dS. For this purpose, we apply the island prescription to the charged linear dilaton black holes and analyze, in detail, the entanglement entropy of Hawking radiation for both the non-extremal case and the extremal case. In the non-extremal case, we find the Page curve consistent with the unitarity principle: at early times the entanglement entropy grows linearly in time without the island and at late times it is saturated double of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy in the presence of the island. We observe the Page time is universal for all different models studied by our method: $t_{\text{Page}}=\frac{3}{ πc}\frac{S_{\text{BH}}}{T_H}.$ For the extremal case, the island prescription provides the well defined entanglement entropy only with the island, which can not be obtained from the continuous limit of the non-extremal case. This implies that the Page curve may not be reproduced for the extremal case and further investigation is needed.

Holographic teleportation in higher dimensions

We study higher-dimensional traversable wormholes in the context of Rindler-AdS/CFT. The hyperbolic slicing of a pure AdS geometry can be thought of as a topological black hole that is dual to a conformal field theory in the hyperbolic space. The maximally extended geometry contains two exterior regions (the Rindler wedges of AdS) which are connected by a wormhole. We show that this wormhole can be made traversable by a double trace deformation that violates the average null energy condition (ANEC) in the bulk. We find an analytic formula for the ANEC violation that generalizes Gao-Jafferis-Wall result to higher-dimensional cases, and we show that the same result can be obtained using the eikonal approximation. We show that the bound on the amount of information that can be transferred through the wormhole quickly reduces as we increase the dimensionality of spacetime. We also compute a two-sided commutator that diagnoses traversability and show that, under certain conditions, the information that is transferred through the wormhole propagates with butterfly speed $v_B = \frac{1}{d-1}$.

AdS Q-Soliton and Inhomogeneously mass-deformed ABJM Model

We study dual geometries to a deformed ABJM model with spatially dependent source functions at finite temperature. These source functions are proportional to the mass function $m(x)= m_0 \sin k x$ and its derivative $m'(x)$. As dual geometries, we find hairy black branes and AdS solitons corresponding to deconfinement phase and confining phase of the dual field theory, respectively. It turns out that the hairy AdS solitons have lower free energy than the black branes when the Hawking temperature is smaller than the confining scale. Therefore the dual system undergoes the first order phase transition. Even though our study is limited to the so-called Q-lattice ansatz, the solution space contains a set of solutions dual to a supersymmetric mass deformation. As a physical quantity to probe the confining phase, we investigate the holographic entanglement entropy and discuss its behavior in terms of modulation effect.

Thermodynamics of Inhomogeneously Mass-deformed ABJM Model and Pressure Anisotropy

In this paper we study the thermodynamics of black branes with a modulated complex scalar in the context of bulk and boundary theories. The modulation induces inhomogeneity to the dual field theory, anisotropic pressure, and brane charge to the bulk geometry. The first law of thermodynamics and the Smarr relation are obtained using the off-shell ADT and the reduced action formalisms. We discuss the prescription for the mass of black branes, which relies on relevant and marginal deformations in the dual field theory. One of the cases is the gravity dual to a ABJM model with a sinusoidal mass function depending on a spatial coordinate. This is the first study of the deformed ABJM model at finite temperature including bulk thermodynamics.

Holographic Entanglement Entropy with Momentum Relaxation

We studied the holographic entanglement entropy for a strip and sharp wedge entangling regions in momentum relaxation systems. In the case of strips, we found analytic and numerical results for the entanglement entropy and showed the effect on the minimal surface by the electric field. We also studied the entanglement entropy of wedges and confirmed that there is a linear change in the electric field. This change is proportional to the thermoelectric conductivity, $\barα$, that can be measured.

Holography without counter terms

By considering the behavior of the reduced action under the scaling transformation, we present a unified derivation of the Smarr-like relation for asymptotically anti-de-Sitter planar black holes. This novel Smarr-like relation leads to useful information in the condensed matter systems through the AdS/CMT correspondence. By using our results, we provide an efficient way to obtain the holographically renormalized on-shell action without the information on the explicit forms of counter terms. We find the complete consistency of our results with those in various models discussed in the recent literatures and obtain new implications.

Scaling symmetry and scalar hairy rotating AdS_3 black holes

By using the scaling symmetry in the reduced action formalism, we derive the novel Smarr relation which holds even for the hairy rotating AdS_3 black holes. And then, by using the Smarr relation we argue that the hairy rotating AdS_3 black holes are stable thermodynamically, compared to the non-hairy ones.
