Fej\'er property and Galois correspondence for groupoid $C^*$-algebras

We introduce a notion of the Fej\'er property for topological \'etale groupoids. As a consequence, we show that when $\mathcal{G}$ is a principal \'etale second countable groupoid satisfying the Fej\'er property, every closed $C_0(\mathcal{G}^0)$-bimodule $M\subset C_r^*(\mathcal{G})$ is of the form $\overline{C_c(U)}^r$ for some open set $U$. Moreover, we get a Galois correspondence in the sense that every intermediate $C^*$-algebra $\mathcal{B}$ with $C_0(\mathcal{G}^0)\subseteq \mathcal{B}\subseteq C_r^*(\mathcal{G})$ is of the form $C_r^*(\mathcal{H})$ for some open subgroupoid $\mathcal{H}\leq \mathcal{G}$.

Quantum Wasserstein distances for quantum permutation groups

We seek an analog for the quantum permutation group $S_n^+$ of the normalized Hamming distance for permutations. We define three distances on the tracial state space of $C(S_n^+)$ that generalize the $L^1$-Wasserstein distance of probability measures on $S_n$ equipped with the normalized Hamming metric, for which we demonstrate basic metric properties, subadditivity under convolution, and density of the Lipschitz elements in the $\mathrm{C}^{\ast}$-algebra.

Anyonic quantum symmetries of finite spaces

We construct a braided analogue of the quantum permutation group and show that it is the universal braided compact quantum group acting on a finite space in the category of $\mathbb{Z}/N\mathbb{Z}$-$\textrm{C}^*$-algebras with a twisted monoidal structure. As an application, we prove the existence of braided quantum symmetries of finite, simple, undirected, circulant graphs, explicitly compute it for several examples, and obtain a generalization of a result of Banica in this direction. Finally, in an appendix, we briefly describe the irreducible representations of this braided analogue of the quantum permutation group and their fusion rules.
