Three-Dimensional Eigenvalues of Harmonic Oscillator- and Coulomb-type Potentials from One-Dimensional Generalized Morse Potential: Perturbative Analyse based on Generalized Laguerre Polynomials

We present perturbative energy eigenvalues (up to second order) of Coulomb- and harmonic oscillator-type fields within a perturbation scheme. We have the required unperturbed eigenvalues ($E_{n}^{(0)}$) analytically obtained by using similarities between the expressions obtained from unperturbed Hamiltonian(s) for two fields and obtained from the ones for one-dimensional generalized Morse field. We use the Langer transformation for this aim. We need the diagonal and non-diagonal matrix elements of unperturbed and perturbed Hamiltonians to get energy eigenvalues perturbatively, which are obtained with help of some recursion identities or some integrals of generalized Laguerre polynomials having analytical results.

Thermodynamic properties of a charged particle in non-uniform magnetic field

We solve the Schr\"odinger equation for a charged particle in the non-uniform magnetic field by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We find the energy spectrum and the wave function, and present an explicit relation for the partition function. We give analytical expressions for the thermodynamic properties such as mean energy and magnetic susceptibility, and analyze the entropy, free energy and specific heat of this system numerically. It is concluded that the specific heat and magnetic susceptibility increase with external magnetic field strength and different values of the non-uniformity parameter, $\alpha$, in the low temperature region, while the mentioned quantities are decreased in high temperature regions due to increasing the occupied levels at these regions. The non-uniformity parameter has the same effect with a constant value of the magnetic field on the behavior of thermodynamic properties. On the other hand, the results show that transition from positive to negative magnetic susceptibility depends on the values of non-uniformity parameter in the constant external magnetic field.

Bound-State Solutions of Dirac Equation for Kratzer Potential with Pseudoscalar-Coulomb Term

We present exact analytical solutions of the Dirac equation in $(1+1)$-dimensions for the generalized Kratzer potential by taking the pseudoscalar interaction term as an attractive Coulomb potential. We study the problem for a particular (spin) symmetry of the Dirac Hamiltonian. After a qualitative analyse, we study the results for some special cases such as Dirac-Coulomb problem in the existence of the pseudoscalar interaction, and the "pure" Coulomb problem by discussing some points about pseudospin and spin symmetries in one dimension. We also plot some figures representing the dependence of the energy on quantum number, and potential parameters.

Non-Relativistic Phase Shifts via Laplace Transform Approach

The Laplace transform approach with convolution theorem is used to find the scattering phase shifts of a Mie-type potential. The normalized scattering wave functions are also studied. The bound state spectrum and the corresponding normalized wave functions are obtained with the help of the analytical properties of the scattering amplitude.

Analytical Solution of two-body spinless Salpeter Equation for Hellmann Potential

Approximate bound state solutions of the spinless Salpeter equation for the Hellmann potential are studied for heavy particles. By using functional analysis method, an analytical expression for the energy levels, and the corresponding eigenfunctions of the system are obtained in terms of the hypergeometric functions. The analytical results for the Yukawa and Coulomb potentials are also studied as special cases.

Solution of Effective-Mass Dirac Equation with Scalar-Vector and Pseudoscalar Terms for Generalized Hulth\'en Potential

We find the exact bound-state solutions and normalization constant for the Dirac equation with scalar-vector-pseudoscalar interaction terms for the generalized Hulth\'{e}n potential in the case where we have a particular mass function $m(x)$. We also search the solutions for the constant mass where the obtained results correspond to the ones when the Dirac equation has spin and pseudospin symmetry, respectively. After giving the obtained results for the non-relativistic case, we search then the energy spectra and corresponding upper and lower components of Dirac spinor for the case of $PT$-symmetric forms of the present potential.

Klein-Gordon equation for a charged particle in space varying electromagnetic fields-A systematic study via Laplace transform

Exact solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation for a charged particle in the presence of three spatially varying electromagnetic fields, namely, (i) $\vec{E}=\alpha\beta_0e^{-\alpha x_2}\hat{x}_2$, $\vec{B}=\alpha\beta_1e^{-\alpha x_2}\hat{x}_3$ (ii) $\vec{E}=\frac{\beta_0^{'}}{x_2^2}\hat{x}_2$, $\vec{B}=\frac{\beta_1^{'}}{x_2^2}\hat{x}_3$, and (iii) $\vec{E}=\frac{2\beta_0^{'}}{x_2^3}\hat{x}_2$, $\vec{B}=\frac{2\beta_1^{'}}{x_2^3}\hat{x}_3$, are studied. All these fields are generated from a systematic study of a particular type of differential equation whose coefficients are linear in independent variable. The Laplace transform approach is used to find the solutions and the corresponding eigenfunctions are expressed in terms of the hypergeometric functions $\,_{1}F_{1}(a', b'; x)$ for first two cases of the above configurations while the same are expressed in terms of the Bessel functions of first kind, $J_{n}(x)$, for the last case

Relativistic Approximate Solutions for a Two-Term Potential: Riemann-Type Equation

Approximate analytical solutions of a two-term potential are studied for the relativistic wave equations, namely, for the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations. The results are obtained by solving of a Riemann-type equation whose solution can be written in terms of hypergeometric function $\,_{2}F_{1}(a,b;c;z)$. The energy eigenvalue equations and the corresponding normalized wave functions are given both for two wave equations. The results for some special cases including the Manning-Rosen potential, the Hulth\'{e}n potential and the Coulomb potential are also discussed by setting the parameters as required.

Triangular Quantum Profiles: transmission probability and energy spectrum

Analytical expressions for the transition probability and the energy spectrum of the 1D Schr\"odinger equation with position dependent mass are presented for the triangular quantum barrier and quantum well. The transmission coefficient is obtained by using the wave functions written in terms of the Airy's functions and of the solutions of the Kummer's differential equation. In order to show the validity of our analyze, an example by taking some numerical values for GaAs heterostructure is presented.

Thermodynamics Quantities for the Klein-Gordon Equation with a Linear plus Inverse-linear Potential: Biconfluent Heun functions

We study some thermodynamics quantities for the Klein-Gordon equation with a linear plus inverse-linear, scalar potential. We obtain the energy eigenvalues with the help of the quantization rule coming from the biconfluent Heun's equation. We use a method based on the Euler-MacLaurin formula to compute the thermal functions analytically by considering only the contribution of positive part of spectrum to the partition function.

Schr\"odinger Equation with a Non-Central Potential: Some Statistical Quantities

In this paper, we search the dependence of some statistical quantities such as the free energy, the mean energy, the entropy, and the specific heat for the Schr\"odinger equation on the temperature, particularly the case of a non-central potential. The basic point is to find the partition function which is obtained by a method based on the Euler-Maclaurin formula. At first, we present the analytical results by supporting with some plots for the thermal functions for one- and three-dimensional cases to find out the effect of the angular momentum. We also search then the effect of the angle-dependent part of the non-central potential. We discuss the results briefly for a phase transition for the system. We also present our results for three-dimesional harmonic oscillator.

Klein-Gordon and Dirac Equations with Thermodynamic Quantities

We study the thermodynamic quantities such as the Helmholtz free energy, the mean energy and the specific heat for both the Klein-Gordon, and Dirac equations. Our analyze includes two main subsections: ($i$) statistical functions for the Klein-Gordon equation with a linear potential having Lorentz vector, and Lorentz scalar parts ($ii$) thermodynamic functions for the Dirac equation with a Lorentz scalar, inverse-linear potential by assuming that the scalar potential field is strong ($A \gg 1$). We restrict ourselves to the case where only the positive part of the spectrum gives a contribution to the sum in partition function. We give the analytical results for high temperatures.

Approximate Solutions of Dirac Equation with Hyperbolic-type Potential

The energy eigenvalues of a Dirac particle for the hyperbolic-type potential field have been computed approximately. It is obtained a transcendental function of energy, $\mathcal{F}(E)$, by writing in terms of confluent Heun functions. The numerical values of energy are then obtained by fixing the zeros on "$E$-axis" for both complex functions $Re[\mathcal{F}(E)]$ and $Im[\mathcal{F}(E)]$.

PT-/non-PT-Symmetric and non-Hermitian Hellmann Potential: Approximate Bound and Scattering States with Any $\ell$-Values

We investigate the approximate bound state solutions of the Schr\"odinger equation for the PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non Hermitian Hellmann potential. Exact energy eigenvalues and corresponding normalized wave functions are obtained. Numerical values of energy eigenvalues for the bound states are compared with the ones obtained before. Scattering state solutions are also studied. Phase shifts of the potential are written in terms of the angular momentum quantum number $\ell$.

Exact Solution of a Spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ Particle for a Linear Potential

The problem of a spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ particle moving in a linear potential field in two-dimensions is searched to obtain for nonzero energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions. The zero-mode ($E=0$) eigenfunctions are also studied and it is seen that they are normalizable. The variation of the non-zero eigenfunctions and also eigenvalues are according to the position and potential parameter $\gamma$, respectively, given in the text.
