We establish an explicit connection between a Davenport expansion and the Popov sum. Asymptotic analysis follows as a result of these formulas. New solutions to a query of N.J. Fine are offered, and a proof of Davenport expansions is detailed.
The $2$-fold Bailey lemma is a special case of the $s$-fold Bailey lemma introduced by Andrews in 2000. We examine this special case and its applications to partitions and recently discovered $q$-series identities. Our work provides a general comparison of the utility of the $2$-fold Bailey lemma and the more widely applied $1$-fold Bailey lemma. We also offer a discussion of the $spt_M(n)$ function and related identities.
We utilize a combination of integral transforms, including the Laplace transform, with some classical results in analytic number theory concerning the Riemann $ξ$-function, to obtain a new integral equation. We also provide a new proof of known functional-type identities from analytic number theory, and recast some criteria associated with the RH. We also describe an application of our integral equation to the Dirichlet problem in the half plane, giving a new application of the Riemann xi function.
We extend Salem's Integral equation to the non-homogenous form, and offer the associated criteria for the Riemann Hypothesis. Explicit solutions for the non-homogenous case are given, which in turn give further insight into Salem's criteria for the RH. As a conclusion, we show these results follow from a corollary relating the uniqueness of solutions of the non-homogenous form with Wiener's theorem.
We consider the explicit solution to the axisymmetric diffusion equation. We recast the solution in the form of a Mellin inversion formula, and outline a method to compute a formula for $u(r,t)$ as a series using the Cauchy residue theorem. As a consequence, we are able to represent the solution to the axisymmetric diffusion equation as rapidly converging series.
We consider some asymptotic analysis for series related to the work of Hardy and Littlewood on Diophantine approximation, as well as Davenport. In particular, we expand on ideas from some previous work on arithmetic series and the RH.
We obtain asymptotic results for well known summatory arithmetic functions, such as $ψ(x),$ and establish connections to new summatory functions. A new Volterra integral equation is offered, which is solved by summatory arithmetic functions. We conclude with some further integral formulas and provide number theoretic formulas as applications.
We prove a new generalization of Davenport's Fourier expansion of the infinite series involving the fractional part function over arithmetic functions. A new Mellin transform related to the Riemann zeta function is also established.
We consider some properties of integrals considered by Hardy and Koshliakov, and which have also been further extended recently by Dixit. We establish a new general integral formula from some observations about the digamma function. We also obtain lower and upper bounds for Hardy's integral through properties of the digamma function.
We give asymptotic analysis of power series associated with lacunary partition functions. New partition theoretic interpretations of some basic hypergeometric series are offered as examples.
We obtain some Bailey pairs associated with indefinite quadratic forms with the $β_n$ connected to a finite sum. A new general identity is given, which provides identities for $q$-hypergeometric series, including mock theta functions.
We offer new Tauberian theorems for a generalized partition function as our main result. Our analysis provides insight into asymptotic behavior of power series with arithmetic functions as coefficients.
We offer a generalization of a formula of Popov involving the Von Mangoldt function. Some commentary on its relation to other results in analytic number theory is mentioned as well as an analogue involving the m$\ddot{o}$bius function.
We explore Fourier transforms of the reciprocal of the Riemann zeta function that have connections to the RH. A partial answer to a recently posed problem is explored by exploiting the fact that $ζ(s)\neq0$ when $\Re(s)=1.$
The purpose of this note is to offer some partition implications of a $q$-series that is connected to the second Atkin-Garvan moment. Inequalities and relationships among the number of divisors and partitions are provided as consequences.
We offer some new applications of an extension of Abel's lemma, as well as its more general form established by Andrews and Freitas. A nice connection is established between this lemma and series involving the Riemann zeta function.
We offer a solution to a functional equation using properties of the Mellin transform. A new criteria for the Riemann Hypothesis is offered as an application of our main result, through a functional relationship with the Riemann xi function.
