On sharp constants for infinitely many equivalent norms on Cesàro function spaces

Recent years have seen significant interest in finding equivalent norms on Cesàro function spaces together with their optimal equivalence constants. In this work, we continue this line of research by deriving sharp two-sided inequalities relating the $L^p$-norms of $\mathcal{C}_m f$ and $\mathcal{C}_n f$, where $\mathcal{C}_k$ is the generalized Cesàro operator of order $k \in \mathbb{N}$ acting on non-negative measurable functions $f$ on $(0,\infty)$. A parallel study is also conducted for the corresponding adjoint operators.

A solution to a conjecture on the norm of the Copson operator minus the Identity for monotone sequences

We investigate the operator distance between the Identity and the Copson operator on the cone of nonnegative, nonincreasing sequences within the Lebesgue sequence spaces $\ell^p(\mathbb{N})$. By proving the exact value of this distance, we confirm a conjecture originally formulated by A. Ben Said, S. Boza, and J. Soria in ``The norm of Hardy-type oscillation operators in the discrete and continuous settings'' (\emph{Analysis and Applications}, 2025).

Best bounds for the dual Hardy operator minus identity on decreasing functions

The distance from the identity operator $I$ to $H^*$, the dual of the Hardy averaging operator, is studied on the cone of nonnegative, nonincreasing functions in Lebesgue space. The exact value is obtained. Optimal lower bounds are also given for difference, $H^*-I$, of these two operators acting on the same cone. A positive answer is given to a conjecture made in ``The norm of Hardy-type oscillation operators in the discrete and continuous settings'' by A. Ben Said, S. Boza, and J. Soria. Preprint, 2024. In addition, a direct comparison, with optimal constants, is given between the operators $H-I$ and $H^*-I$ acting on the cone.
