On Majorana's equation

The physical results of quantum field theory are independent of the various specializations of Dirac's gamma-matrices, that are employed in given problems. Accordingly, the physical meaning of Majorana's equation is very dubious,considering that it is a consequence of ad hoc matrix representations of the gamma-operators. Therefore, it seems to us that this equation cannot give the equation of motion of the neutral WIMPs (weakly interacting massive particles), the hypothesized constitutive elements of the Dark Matter.

"Information Paradox" and Schwarzschildian geodesics

We show that the "Information Paradox" follows from inappropriate considerations on the geodesics of a Schwarzschildian manifold created by a gravitating point-mass. In particular, we demonstrate that the geometric differential equation which gives the radial coordinate as a function of the angular coordinate of the geodesics does not represent fully all the consequences following from the metric tensor. We remark that: i) it does not yield the conditions characterizing the circular orbits; (this fact has been ignored in the previous literature); ii) it "neglects" the space region in which the radial coordinate is minor or equal to twice the mass of the gravitating point (in suitable units of measure).

Proof of a Lorentz and Levi-Civita thesis

A formal proof of the thesis by Lorentz and Levi-Civita that the left-hand side of Einstein field equations represents the real energy-momentum-stress tensor of the gravitational field.

On the gravitational fields created by the electromagnetic waves

We show that the Maxwell equations describing an electromagnetic wave are a mathematical consequence of the Einstein equations for the same wave. This fact is significant for the problem of the Einsteinian metrics corresponding to the electromagnetic waves.

On the gravitational redshifts of spectral lines - A critico-historical study

A beautiful, detailed computation by Whittaker has enabled us to prove in a rigorous way that the gravitationally redshifted frequency of a monochromatic e.m. wave sent forth at the surface of a celestial body is propagated unaltered from the emitting source to terrestrial observers. We remark that in the customary treatments only qualitative and inaccurate justifications of this fact are given.

On Sagittarius A* - Theory and Observations

Massive and supermassive dust spheres (with a zero internal pressure) collapse to full globes of finite volumes, whose surfaces have the properties of the event horizon around a mass-point. This fact explains the observational data concerning Sagittarius A* (SgrA*). By virtue of Hilbert's repulsive effect, both the event horizon of a mass-point and the event horizon of a full globe cannot swallow anything.

Gravitational collapses and Hilbertian repulsion

If we take into account the Hilbertian gravitational repulsion, even a dust sphere with a zero fluido-dynamical pressure collapses to a body of a comparatively small, finite, volume.

About the Lense-Thirring and Thirring effects

In Part I we prove that in the linearized version of GR the dust-like model of a spinning sphere cannot give the Lense-Thirring and Thirring effects. In Part II we give a proper and model-independent deduction of both effects within the linearized version of GR.

Protons do not exert any Hilbertian gravitational repulsion

The Hilbertian gravitational repulsion is quite absent in the Einsteinian field of a proton, owing to the gravitational action of its electric charge. Accordingly, the proton bunches of the LHC cannot exert any repulsive gravitational force.

On some relativistic singular surfaces

In the current relativistic literature there are misleading considerations about some singular surfaces. An accurate geometric analysis allows to settle the question. No physical meaning is attributable to the spatial regions surrounded by the above surfaces. A recent observational paper by A. Fabian et al. is discussed in sect.4.

General relativity includes geometrical optics. This basic fact has relevant consequences that concern the physical meaning of the discontinuity surfaces propagated in the gravitational field - as it was first emphasized by Levi-Civita.
