Intentionally and Unintentionally. On Both, A and Non-A, in Neutrosophy

Abstract

The paper presents a fresh new start on the neutrality of neutrosophy in that "both A and Non-A" as an alternative to describe Neuter-A in that we conceptualize things in both intentional and unintentional background. This unity of opposites constitutes both objective world and subjective world. The whole induction of such argument is based on the intensive study on Buddhism and Daoism including I-ching. In addition, a framework of contradiction oriented learning philosophy inspired from the Later Trigrams of King Wen in I-ching is meanwhile presented. It is shown that although A and Non-A are logically inconsistent, but they are philosophically consistent in the sense that Non-A can be the unintentionally instead of negation that leads to confusion. It is also shown that Buddhism and Daoism play an important role in neutrosophy, and should be extended in the way of neutrosophy to all sciences according to the original intention of neutrosophy.

The Collatz Conjecture & Non-Archimedean Spectral Theory -- Part II -- $\left(p,q\right)$-Adic Fourier Analysis and Wiener's Tauberian Theorem

This paper gives an overview of $\left(p,q\right)$-adic Fourier theory - the Fourier theory of functions from the $p$-adic numbers to the $q$-adic numbers, where $p$ and $q$ are distinct primes - which we then use to prove a novel $\left(p,q\right)$-adic generalization of Norbert Wiener's celebrated Tauberian Theorem. Letting $K$ be a metrically complete, algebraically closed local field of residue characteristic $q$, letting $C\left(\mathbb{Z}_{p},K\right)$ be the Banach space of continuous functions $\mathbb{Z}_{p}\rightarrow K$, and letting $dμ$ be a $\left(p,q\right)$-adic measure (a continuous linear functional $C\left(\mathbb{Z}_{p},K\right)\rightarrow K)$, the $\left(p,q\right)$-adic Wiener Tauberian Theorem (WTT) we prove establishes that the density of the span of translates of $dμ$'s Fourier-Stieltjes Transform implies the non-vanishing of the Radon-Nikodym derivative of $dμ$ at all points in $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$ where the derivative exists in $K$.

Indefinite integrals of Bessel and Struve functions with half-integer indices, and incomplete gamma functions with integer indices, all multiplied by $Exp(-ax^{2})$ and divided by powers

Indefinite integrals are found for 63 half-integer Bessel and Struve functions, and incomplete gamma functions with integer indices, each multiplied by $Exp(-ax^{2})$ and divided by powers. A series solution is given for the individual terms (of any inverse power) in such functions, split into even and odd portions. Eight integrals are given involving these series. Three infinite sets of auxiliary integrals are also given.

Construction, Enumeration and Duality of Perfectly Balanced Musical Sets of Order $2pq$

In this paper, we present a comprehensive study of perfectly balanced musical sets, also known in the literature as vanishing sums of roots of unity, in the particular case of order $2pq$. Starting from the well-established result concerning the decomposition of such sets as an integer linear combination of regular polygons, we first provide an algebraic formalization that allows to explicitly construct all these sets. We then propose six different decompositions of each set into regular polygons. Moreover, by investigating their combinatorial enumeration, we derive a formula for the exact number of these sets for a given order $2pq$, and describe their distribution and cardinality for the particular case of order $6p$. One of the main results concerns the duality that can be established between these sets. In particular, we prove that every non-periodic minimal perfectly balanced set of order $2pq$ can be combined with another one to produce a self-complementary $2p$-periodic set, and the reciprocal also holds. Finally, we demonstrate that the modulus of the discrete Fourier transform coefficients of dual sets are related. All these results shed new light on the distribution of perfectly balanced sets of order $2pq$ and suggest new mathematical questions in a more general case.
