Finite determinacy and rigidity of quiver potentials

Abstract

We prove that a quiver potential over a field of characteristic zero is finitely determined if and only if the trace space of its Jacobian algebra is finite dimensional. In particular, Jacobi-finite potentials are finitely determined. We further prove that rigid potentials are finitely determined and, over an algebraically closed field, unique up to right equivalence on a fixed quiver. For finitely determined weighted-homogeneous potentials, we give an explicit bound on the jet order sufficient for finite determinacy in terms of the arrow weights, the weight of the potential, and the highest nonzero weight of the trace space of its Jacobian algebra. We also establish new invariance results for weighted-homogeneous potentials under right equivalence.

Hyper-dual group inverse: existence, characterizations, and applications

Motivated by the recent work of Xiao and Zhong [AIMS Math. 9 (2024), 35125--35150: MR4840882], we propose a generalized inverse for a hyper-dual matrix called hyper-dual group generalized inverse (HDGGI). Firstly, we characterize the existence of the HDGGI of a hyper-dual matrix and we show that it is unique, whenever exists. The HDGGI is then used to solve a linear hyper-dual system. We discuss the minimal $P$-norm least-squares properties of hyper-dual group inverse. We also exploit some sufficient conditions under which the reverse and forward-order laws for a particular form of the HDGGI and hyper-dual Moore-Penrose generalized inverse (HDMPGI) hold. Using the definition of dual matrix of order $n$, we finally establish necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the group inverse of a dual matrix of order $n$.

Generating pairs in $\mathfrak g_2$ related by an involution

Let $\mathbb O$ be the real octonion division algebra, let $\mathfrak g_2=\operatorname{Der}(\mathbb O)$, and fix a quaternionic subalgebra $H\subset\mathbb O$. We ask when an element $Z$ preserving $H$ and its conjugate $TZT^{-1}$ generate $\mathfrak g_2$, where $T$ is a prescribed involutive octonion automorphism. We prove that such a $Z$ exists if and only if $T(H)\ne H$. Moreover, a fixed set of six derivations preserving $H$ contains a generating choice for every such $T$. For an arbitrary $Z\in\mathfrak g_2$, we construct a polynomial criterion with two factors: one detects reducibility on the imaginary octonions, and the other detects generated algebras of dimension at most three. An irreducible proper generated algebra must be a principal $\mathfrak{su}(2)$. We characterize the elements admitting this case by their rotation frequencies and parametrize all corresponding involutions. For one specified involution and quaternionic subalgebra $H$, we describe the nongenerating set by four geometric families and six irredundant systems of scalar equations, and prove that it has real dimension four.

Classification of Finite-Dimensional Simple Novikov Algebras and Their Irreducible Bimodules in Positive Characteristic

We give a complete classification of finite-dimensional simple Novikov algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>2$, including families missing from earlier classifications in \cite{Osborn1992, Xu1996}. We determine explicit normal forms and all isomorphisms between them, and classify all nontrivial irreducible bimodules over these algebras.
