The semiring of spectral duality skeletons: cancellation, characters and factorization

Abstract

Weighted dual skeletons are the combinatorial core of spectral duality structures. Their isomorphism classes, under Cartesian product and disjoint union, form a semiring graded by the degree. We identify it completely: a class is determined by its degree, a symmetric element of the group semiring N_0[R] and its number of fixed points. Equivalently, skeletons of a given degree are finite C_2-sets over the C_2-monoid (R,+), these data are their marks, and the semiring is an infinite-monoid analogue of a crossed Burnside semiring. The multiplicative monoid is not cancellative, the only obstruction being that multiplication by a skeleton without fixed points forgets the fixed points; accordingly, the Grothendieck ring has explicit zero divisors. A continuous family of semiring characters, with the degree and the number of fixed points, is a complete invariant, and for commensurable ratios the multiplicative Grothendieck group is described by Pólya's theorem. The main subject is factorization. The reduced monoid is atomic with bounded lengths, but factorization is not unique, the elasticity is infinite, and even the divisor-closed submonoid with one fixed point is not half-factorial. Without fixed points, every reducible skeleton splits off a single orbit, which gives a criterion by centers, exactly when the number of orbits is 8, 16, a prime or twice a prime. Irreducibility is generic in almost every type. Progression skeletons factor according to mixed-radix number systems, with all factorizations of equal length. Finally, orbit counting gives the dimension of the separatrix and the response rank of products.

On the Regularity and Clean Properties of Matrices over Dual Numbers

In this paper, we study regularity and clean-type decompositions for matrices over dual numbers. We characterize the von Neumann regularity of dual matrices by establishing a necessary and sufficient compatibility condition between their real and dual components. At the element level, we determine the conditions under which an individual dual matrix $\mathcal{M} = A + Bε$ is regular, $π$-regular, nil-clean, or strongly nil-clean. Using the solvability of Sylvester matrix equations, we show that the matrix ring over dual numbers $M_n(\mathbb{D})$ is strongly $π$-regular and strongly clean. Moreover, $M_n(\mathbb{D})$ is $π$-regular, clean, $r$-clean, strongly $r$-clean, $\mathrm{NR}$-clean, and strongly $\mathrm{NR}$-clean. On the other hand, $M_n(\mathbb{D})$ fails to be regular, strongly regular, nil-clean, strongly nil-clean, and uniquely $\mathrm{NR}$-clean, although it inherits several strong decomposition properties from $M_n(\mathbb{R})$. Our characterizations at the element level show exactly when each property holds.

2-Local Derivations on Conformal Galilei Lie Algebras and Their Central Extensions

We classify 2-local derivations on the finite-dimensional conformal Galilei Lie algebras in three natural settings: the algebra without central extension, the mass central extension, and the exotic central extension. No additivity or linearity is assumed in the definition of a 2-local derivation. We prove that in every case each 2-local derivation is an ordinary derivation. For the unextended algebra, the proof combines characteristic-quotient normalization with separating vectors, invariant bilinear forms, rank-two mixed zero anchors, and a semisimple-perturbation argument for the standard module. For the mass central extension with $2\ell\ge3$, the residual map is first reduced to the center and then eliminated by a symplectic-anchor construction on the Heisenberg radical; a dimension argument in the centralizer of a regular semisimple element simultaneously handles singular reductive actions and the additional central shear that occurs in spatial dimension two. The endpoint $\ell=\tfrac12$ is the Schrödinger algebra; a self-contained symplectic-anchor proof includes all spatial dimensions, with explicit treatment of dimensions one and two. For the exotic extension, after center normalization we use conjugate middle-weight positions and an affine middle anchor to eliminate every central translate, including the one-sided middle-weight configurations. Consequently the set of 2-local derivations coincides with the derivation algebra for all admissible parameters, and hence every 2-local derivation in these families is automatically linear.

Classification of all non-split central extensions of naturally graded 2-filiform non-Lie Leibniz algebras

This paper deals with the naturally graded 2-filiform non-Lie Leibniz algebras over the field of complex numbers. There are two finite series of such algebras, defined in every dimension starting from five, and two further algebras which occur only in dimension five. For each of these algebras we classify, up to isomorphism, all of its non-split central extensions, of every possible dimension. The one-dimensional central extensions are already known from an earlier work, so the main part of the paper is devoted to the extensions of dimension two and higher. As usual, the classification is reduced to the description of the orbits of the automorphism group of the algebra on the subspaces of its second cohomology space with trivial coefficients. For each algebra and each dimension we give the complete list of these orbits together with the multiplication tables of the corresponding algebras, and we point out the extensions whose annihilator coincides with the added central ideal. Among the algebras obtained there are 2-filiform Leibniz algebras which are not naturally graded; this class of algebras has not been systematically studied so far.
